Back in June 2024 TV Writing added a nice little set of 12 Xena: Warrior Princess scripts.

I made the four scripts Cousin Liz shared many years ago into pdfs and sent them to TV Writing, they were added in October 2024.

In December I stumbled on a new upload of the 2008 Photobucket images of "The God You Know" shared by LadyKate63 and made the draft where all of the page numbers were visible into a pdf. I sent that along with the first and last of season one to TV Writing:

ok but Kingleader as a ship is so funny to me for so many reasons because Kinger HAD a wife and then she got abstracted and he was probably like very upset but Caine was sad for like 10 minutes until he realized Oh Shit Kinger's Available and he has an Opening. as my friend put it

while Kinger is oblivious for a good amount of time

and everything we talked about was just hysterical like how do you expect them to kiss. one doesn't have a mouth and the other is a mouth. they resort to hand holding. Caine seeing a royal piece of wood and doing that cartoony 'awooga' reaction and Kinger is just standing there with his eye twitching. if Kinger showed up wearing a bowtie Caine would FAINT. Bubble isn't a fan of them and it wants its seat at that little diner back but KINGER HAS TAKEN IT.

Caine decides to marry the guy and EVERYONE IN THE CIRCUS HAS TO COME. but in order to get there it can't NOT be an adventure, they have to get through a dangerous obstacle course just to reach the wedding. nobody really wants to go except for maybe Ragatha who thinks it's sweet. Jax does NOT want to be here. he's not a romance fan (aroace swagger most definitely) and the wedding consists of mostly Caine's extremely long wedding speech which is actually just an elaborate slideshow featuring a Kinger fancam and many supposedly "attractive" pictures which are blurry and covered in heart and star emojis. and to each one Kinger is just "awww stop it"

Kinger also had a speech but it took him half an hour to realize he forgot it and kept everyone waiting

i know it's been a while, but i wanted you to know that i think about The Year Is 1953 all the time and it's one of my favourite superhero comics

It's a bizarrely formatted, rough-finish criticism/tribute to an eighty year old comic series; I spent something like two months on it; and I still get nice comments and messages about it two years on. Sometimes from people who haven't read the original comics!

For the ninety-degrees meme: I'd really like to see a Yoshida PoV for clear the area! He only gets a little mention in passing, but it was a fascinating snapshot of his and Akira's working relationship.

(Alternately, if you're not up for covering heavy topics on a fun little ask meme: in a small, quiet death in a watery grave, what DID they do about the bed? Did Futaba's six million hidden cameras catch them sneaking about with armfuls of duct tape in the middle of the night?)

Yoshida is not a young man, and he no longer has the energy than young men do. Taking Kurusu on as his aide after his graduation was barely a question; his keen eyes and intuition have only grown sharper with time and experience.

He can see shadows of himself in Kurusu, he fancies. That irresistible conviction towards justice and hope. Be thou for the people. A core in him as strong and unrelenting as a steel pole.

But metal tarnishes, steel rusts, and Kurusu...

He never asked, of course, about those extracurricular activities from all those years ago. That wasn't for him to know. But he remembers as well as anyone what happened that night in November, and he's seen the boy (because even now, Yoshida will blink and see that slender youth superimposed over the man he's grown into) wind himself up, tight as a spring, year after year.
