Miracubots AU
Sooooo, me and a friend reconnected after a few years of silence (Thanks depression) and discovered not only do we still share similar old fandom brainrot, but we share NEW fandom brain rot and have very similar opinions about the Miraculous series, which lead into the brainrots fusing and with their permission. I present. THE MIRACUBOTS AU
AKA What if we took the cool and interesting magic system and initial set up of Miraculous....AKA the only good bits, and put it in a show with great writing and characters who we love and who deserve to go feral on a villain every now and again?
The AU takes place instead of the canon season four, Cody is aged up a little to 14/15, Doctor Morroco never lost his Verns device to Madeline Pynch so he's still around to be a menace, and the Prime bots...We haven't fully established if Prime is still happening, or if it's after RiD but the Autobots are still around and mentioned occasionally. And since it's a different version of season 4, the bots are still undercover to the town, only the family knowing they are sentient.
Madeline takes stage as the main villain of the series having acquired the Butterfly Miraculous and after discovering Nooroo and it's power, forcing the Kwami to tell her all about the other Miraculous, including the fact that using two of them, the Ladybug and Black Cat together gives one the power to alter reality.
Seeing an easy way to get her goal of being the riches and most powerful person on the planet, she forces Nooroo to tell her where the Miracle box is, but the poor Kwami can only confirm he senses it on Griffin Rock. With her goal in mind Pynch uses the Butterfly to become Swallowtail creating her first Akuma to draw out the guardian and hopefully the Miraculous she seeks.
Master Fu once he realizes what is happening, charges Tikki and Plagg to find two children they resinate strongly with to become the new holders of their Miraculous, reasoning that Children will be easy to teach and control, and he'd be better able to take the Miraculous back from children if the pair chose poorly.
To no one in this fandom's surprise, Cody Burns is who's picked by Tikki to be her holder. He does try to convince her to go to his dad or siblings so they can protect her after she tells him she's what the Akuma is after. But Tikki insists that she picked the right person to be her holder able to sence Cody having a loving heart full of courage.
Cody becomes the new Ladybug Hero Beetletron! looking very much like a miniature version of one of the Rescuebots, though one with a beetle Altmord, when he asks about it Tikki explains that it's because well, the Rescuebots have more or lest become his mental image of what a hero should *be* and thus the Miraculous copied their form. The name comes from Cody trying to think of a Cybertronian sounding name and vaguely remembering hearing the bots talk about some important mech from Cybertron....something-tron? Well it sounds robotic and he's a beetle so, Beetletron!
Fighting against the Akuma he's joined by another hero, a girl in a cyber punk looking get up, dark leathers and neon greens with a head covering mask, she even has a USB cable acting as a tail that she can use with her tech knowhow to hack! The new Black Cat introduces herself as Felidae Fatale, named for the scientific cat family Felidae, and well, she might not be the classic version of a Femme Fatale, she'll prove she can be just as badass as they can be.
Working together feeling like they've known each other for years though they just met, they beat the Akuma, and when Swallowtail makes her threat to claim their Miraculous's they confidently announce they'll make sure a villain like her, never wins.
In the aftermath the pair meet up and agree, keeping a secret identity from the other would be pretty silly considering the life and death danger their in, so. Reveal themselves.
And Cody laughs crying as he hugs his best friend Frankie, as there really could be no other person it would be.
Feel free to tell me or ask me about this AU, We have a TON of stuff planned out, what Miraculous's people get, Akuma forms for almost everyone. Admitedly have some self-indulgent stuff like putting in OC's we love to use XD but it's all in good fun

Magic Induced Face Blindness
For Bio Dad! Bruce Wayne Month, Prompt: Take Your Kid To Work ao3 @maribat-bdbwm
The Justice League, simply put, was having a take your kid to work day. Less simply, they were holding an event for all the teenage superheroes. So not exactly a take your kid to work day but there weren’t exactly a large number who weren’t proteges of the Justice League.
Naturally, Ladybug had been invited.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng Wayne has not stopped freaking out about it since.
And not freaking out about it in the Chat Noir way, who’s been so excited that it’s all he talks about on patrol. Freaking out as in lying face down on her floor and cursing her family. Well, mostly her dad.
“Tikki, do you think if I fake cough in front of Chat Noir a few times and tell him I’m too sick to make it he’ll believe me.”
The kwami hums from where she’s settled in Marinette’s hair. “He’ll probably believe you if you’re convincing enough but is that really necessary? What’s the worst that could happen?”
Marinette scoffs. Really, Tikki should know better than to ask such a question. “I’ll walk into the watch tower and someone will immediately figure me out.”
In her one year of being Ladybug, Marinette has learnt that even her sweet kwami does not have infinite patience and Tikki’s exasperation is obvious in her tone when she says, “Marinette. Your identity is protected with magic.”
“The JL has magic users. And I’ve known most of these people most of my life. What if one of the idiots say something so dumb and I insult them and they figure it out and then Chat Noir knows my identity causing the end of the world.”
“Don’t insult them then.”
She scoffs again, “I can’t not insult them. When have you ever not insulted Plagg?”
The ensuing silence speaks for itself but Tikki doesn’t let it go. “You should go. It’ll be good to talk to heroes other than Chat Noir and temporary holders.”
She groans. Maybe if she lies here long enough the carpet will swallow her up and then Tikki can stop trying to convince her to go. “I have most of their numbers, I can talk to them whenever I want. I do talk to them whenever I want.”
The weight on her head vanishes and she feels a poke on her forehead. Lifting her head up, she glares at the tiny goddess of luck, who glares right back. “That’s not what I meant and you know it. None of them know you’re Ladybug.”
She drops her back down to the floor and sighs. “Fine. I’ll go.”
.oOo.
Wonder Woman waves them over when she sees them enter. As the two of them make their way through the crowd, Ladybug keeps her eyes on the floor while Chat Noir’s head swivels around trying to take it all in. What an odd pair they must make.
“Robin looks like an angry kitten,” her partner comments, breaking her out her reverie.
She coughs to hide her laughter. He’s right, of course. But regardless she turns to look at Damian, who’s sulking in the corner while Jon pesters him.
She grins, “I’d kill to watch you tell him that.”
He glances at her and snorts, “Not a chance. Not with that expression on your face.”
She blinks at him, “What expression?”
“The same one you had before you threw me off the Eiffel Tower for going on about the Justice League heroes.”
She smiles at the memory, “You totally deserved it.”
He holds a hand  up to his chest, as dramatic as always, “Meowch!”
She giggles. Diana is only few steps away from them now and is looking at them with an amused expression. Smiling comes slightly easier now, a chunk of her anxiety taken away by her partner’s antics. She whispers a thanks to him before greeting Wonder Woman.
.oOo.
If Diana suspects anything, she doesn’t mention it, nor do any of the others they talk to. But they haven’t had the chance to talk to any of the bats yet. At least Dick and Jay aren’t here, they’d be the most unbearable.
“We should talk to Batgirl,” Chat Noir suggests.
Marinette freezes, magic or not Cass would be the most likely to see through her but she can’t think of a valid excuse and he’d already picked up on her earlier nervousness. If she continues being paranoid, he might start to suspect something.
“Sure,” she mutters.
He waves enthusiastically to Batgirl who offers a small smile. Her gaze lingers on Ladybug and Marinette desperately hopes Cass brushes off anything odd as general nervousness. Thankfully, Chat Noir carries much of their interaction.
He’s gesturing wildly when he accidentally hits her sister’s arm. The arm that Marinette knows was in a cast until last week. Cass doesn’t wince, of course she doesn’t but the concern bursts out of Marinette anyway. “Is your arm ok??”
Chat Noir looks confused but Batgirl is assessing her. It’s a moment before she says, “I’m fine.”
Marinette nods, simultaneously relieved and panicked. She should’ve stayed home. It’s not too late to fake sickness, after all she has been acting particularly odd. When Spoiler calls Batgirl away, Ladybug visibly relaxes. Chat Noir gives her an odd look but he doesn’t say anything. Yet. She’s sure by the time they finish talking to her entire family, he’s going to think she’s lost her mind.
.oOo.
She’s mostly calmed down after her slip up with Cass when they somehow end up talking to Jon and Damian. Well, it’s not exactly talking as much as Robin and Chat Noir antagonising each other. Jon looks torn between interrupting and watching it play out. Marinette on the other hand wishes she had a bucket of popcorn and a valid reason to record their exchange.
When Damian calls the Parisian superhero, “a mangy alley cat,” Marinette snorts out loud and says, “I thought you liked cats?”
Damian stares at her, she can see his hand inching towards his katana as he asks, “How would you know that?”
Play it cool, Marinette.
She shrugs, “You just seem like a cat person. Also, I vaguely remember reading something of the kind on twitter once.”
Both of them know most things about the Bats on social media are deleted almost as soon as Oracle can get to it but people still do see them. He relaxes slightly but Marinette knows he’s wary of her.
Really, why did she let Tikki talk her into this?
.oOo.
Sometime later, Bart finds her in a corner. She’d left Chat Noir saying she needed a break and she could see him as he was talking excitedly with Steph.
“Heydoyoumindansweringaquestionforustosettleanargument?” he asks pointing at the rest of what was once Young Justice (or rather the still active members). Holding back a smile, she considers it for a moment. How wrong could it go? Actually, knowing them any thing and everything that could go wrong would go wrong but her curiosity takes over. Tim’s friends have the most amusing arguments after all.
Bart is bouncing back and forth, waiting for her answer. When, she agrees, he cheers and drags her over to their little group. He doesn’t question how she caught what he was saying instantly or how she’s totally fine even after being carted off with super speed regardless of the distance.
Thankfully, Tim is too busy arguing with Kon to notice.
“I have a solution,” Bart announces, “We ask Ladybug to be the tie breaker.”
And because when they’re together they tend to act on a single functioning braincell, all four of them turn to her at once and Cassie asks, “Do you think having several backup fake identities is necessary?”
Ah, not a new argument then. Honestly, she does. She’s suddenly even more grateful that Chat Noir isn’t with her. “I mean you do need something to fall back on if your go to identity is accused of art theft.”
Tim doesn’t have time to register the jab at him before Kon and Cassie start to rejoice loudly and Marinette slips away before they can drag her into their next argument.
.oOo.
Back in her room, after the event, Marinette sighs. “Well, that was interesting.” Her conversations with the others had gone perfectly well. It was extremely likely that Chat Noir wouldn’t dwell on her mistakes with Batgirl and Robin, and he hadn’t been there when she spoke to Tim. Regardless, she’s never doing that again. Chat Noir can go alone.
Her phone rings and she answers the video call to see a bunch of worried faces.
“Is something wrong?”
“You need to look into Ladybug,” her father states.
She frowns, “Why?”
“It’s possible Ladybug knows our identities and is a threat.”
Her jaw drops, “What?”
Marinette remains in semi shock throughout Tim’s explanation. He ends with, “If you need help any of us would be glad to come.”
“Dibs on helping Nettie!” Steph calls finally snapping Marinette out of her shock. Damn, Tikki had been right about the magic. World’s greatest detectives and this was the conclusion they came to?
She glances at Tikki once, making sure she has the kwami’s support in this decision. When Tikki nods Marinette let’s herself laugh at the absurdity of the situation.
It also ends the argument ongoing on the other end of the call. All of them stare at her in confusion until she finishes laughing. Once she’s finally calmed down she asks, “ A room full of detectives and that’s the best you come up with?”
Her father frowns, “Marinette, what-”
“Did it not occur to any of you that I’m Ladybug?”
She bursts into laughter at their startled expressions. Hurrying to take a screenshot and making sure to send it to Babs.
She is so going to lord this over them for at least the next few years.

Ok I am going to be controversial. If I'm honest, I don’t really understand the desire for Adrien to turn his back on Ladybug at the end of Strikeback. That's partly because I don't completely get what the writers intended Adrien’s struggle to be about in Season 4. I understand what Ladybug did wrong, but my thing is

Does CN ever actually express to LB why he is upset in Season 4? Does he ever try to reason with her or advocate for himself?
I don’t remember him approaching the real issue until they were under Risk’s influence and he says “maybe that’s because you never tell me anything.”  I also remember that overall fallout feeling really muddy throughout the season.
From what I see, Chat Noir’s most valid reason for being upset is because she’s keeping him, her loyal partner, at a distance. She’s not communicating as well to the point that he ends up confused, outside of the plan a few times. He finds out she told someone her identity even though she's always been massively against that. Toward the end, he discovers she’s been working with an active Rena Furtive without making him aware. She said nothing between them would change, but he can sense this new distance and her secrecy. He doesn't quite know what to make of it, but he can't help but feel a bit betrayed. He deserves at least to know things like when a new Ladybug shows up at random or a secret miraculous holder being in the field with them.
So you'd think that would be the clear cut reason, but I'm not sure? The writing gives mixed messages and Adrien brings a lot of his own baggage to the table. The increased neglect and secrecy by Ladybug is one facet , but if we’re being honest about what we were shown, there are some more factors:
The side effects of the guardianship in itself. The nature of the guardianship means Ladybug is now a leader responsible for the kwami and involving many more holders. More holders make defeating Monarch easier and Paris more safe, but it also means less time as a duo and more competition to play on CN’s insecurity. He worried about his being replaced as early as Season 3 with Carapace. His insecurity is exacerbated by her distance, but also by more holders in general. The average person might not have been as upset at getting a "break" for a few rounds, but to Adrien, it's a sign that he is finally being replaced. Even if he knew about Rena Furtive, I’m willing to bet he still would have felt uneasy about her threatening their relationship.
He is in love with her. Kuro Neko’s messaging is all over the place, but Plagg wasn’t completely wrong. Ladybug’s increased distance and secrecy hurts 50 times worse because Chat Noir is in love with her. If he were in love with Marinette instead at that point, he might even enjoy the extra load off and having fun with his friends at school, but he is very much in love with Ladybug. That makes his suffering hit much harder.
He’s upset about Carapace and Rena Rouge knowing each other's identities even though he can’t know Ladybug’s. To be fair, I rate the other holders' identities BS pretty low on my list of things to rage at Ladybug about because after Season 3 when all the heroes were revealed and Ladybug continued to give the same heroes their miraculous while also still being really anxious over identities, it was so nonsensical that I chalked it up to plot convenience rather than Marinette just being this stupid and risky. The show was not about to design new hero models so logic be damned. I don’t blame her for this anymore than I blame Chat Noir for being stupidly bad in battle at random a.k.a nerfed to make Ladybug look better. I also acknowledge the rules for the Ladybug and Cat miraculous hold an elevated risk. If Monarch knows Rena and Carapace identities he maybe has two new miraculous. If he knows Ladybug and Cat’s identities, he has his wish and the world is rewritten.
His father also started neglecting him more after a big change in their lives. He’s projected his relationship with his father onto his relationship with Ladybug as early as Glaciator when she didn’t make it to his date. So possible PTSD.
There are also the reasons that the fandom projects onto Adrien as things he 'should' be upset about, but is never actually upset about and have never had any canon ground:
She’s the leader and the only holder with a cure. They’ve never been exactly equal despite that one line and he’s never had an issue with this on the battlefield. He only wants to know what’s going on. If he does have some leftover resentment at Fu not choosing or training him, his beef is with Fu.
He doesn’t know other holders identities. He’s only ever cared to know Ladybug’s. And this may be controversial opinion, but even if he wanted Ladybug to tell him the other holders’ identities, would he be justified in that? He’s not a guardian. Why is he entitled to demand the guardian hand them over? Especially without their permission?
Her plan with Luka to reveal their identities and erase his memory. This is to me her most egregious offense in season 4 and if he knew about it, it would make the argument against his forgiveness much stronger in my eyes. But he doesn’t. And it becomes obsolete information after the episode.
Even with all these heavy factors, all valid reasons to be upset, the only reason that validates righteous anger from CN’s pov and doesn’t make him look like kind of a tool is her secrecy around Rena Furtive and him discovering her keeping him out of the loop on some need to know info in Hacksan and one or two other eps. Emotionally, it goes much deeper than this for him. But these represent her responsibility in the matter.
The reason I can't see him justified in cutting ties with her in Strikeback though is that... this doesn't come up? He can't say he's tried to communicate with her. Nothing like “you’re keeping things I need to know from me and I don’t like it” or “you said things wouldn’t change between us as partners but you’ve distanced yourself from me. we started this together”. Nothing before Strikeback. I could see if he'd tried to talk about it and she dismissed him and didn’t try to fix things. But there’s no conversation around this in particular.
The weird thing is a lot of the other reasons come up in canon through his voice or someone else’s or both. He’s in love with her. He doesn't know what he'd do without her. All the new partners make him feel insecure and irrelevant. Why can’t we know each others’ identity and they can? In other words, the reasons that make him seem overemotional and self centered. These reasons also all center her or the desire for her love and adoration rather than his feelings as her partner. That’s what’s highlighted in Season 4.
But the actual legit criticism and bone to be picked with Ladybug herself does not come out of his mouth until he is under Risk's influence. Even then, it’s a one-liner. I don’t remember him ever actually trying to touch on the real problem with her prior to that. He either smiles and shrugs it off, even when she asks if he is ok, or he lashes out and runs away.  He doesn’t breach the topic and if he doesn’t communicate it, how can they work through it?
Kuro Neko was the perfect opportunity to have Adrien really vent, but the initial argument is a textbook miscommunication. He shows up smiling over his pain and cracking jokes. Therefore she doesn’t realize how upset he is. Then he pushes the subject even though she’s out of time and she snaps at him for not listening. Hurt, he snaps back and runs. Plagg blames it on heartbreak alone. Ladybug takes that bait and laments that there’s nothing she can do but dote on him a bit because hey he’s just heartbroken. She's not responsible for his unrequited love. At the end, he never mentions the legitimate issues and nothing is ever wrapped up. That’s where I start to think, did the writers even mean for him feeling diminished as a ‘partner’ to be a real issue? Did they intend for this to be a lovesick issue from the start?
I don’t think this is just on Ladybug being impossible to talk to because of some vibe she sends out or her making sad face. Chat Noir has been pretty cross with Ladybug before over other less justified matters and she didn’t crumble or smote him. She did throw him in the trash but that took 4 seasons of being calm and reasonable in the face of some behavior that wasn’t always great on his part. He is usually the one supporting her, but she managed not to meltdown while he was struggling in Guilttrip and Reverser and support him.  She’s not glass and she’s not his father and I think he knows that on some level. I think his lack of communication is partially his upbringing.
But mostly, he's just written to undermine himself. Ladybug isn’t the only voice box for the writers. Adrien is too. Everyone in the show works to serve a particular narrative so it’s no wonder that his most valid complaint against Ladybug in Season 4 was buried under all of the less noble ones, even from his own lips. He needed Risk just to confront her on the part she was actually responsible for. Odd choice. I guess he wouldn’t have been the perfect boyfriend if he did it without Risk?
I think a decent percentage of the rage at LB in Season 4 is made more intense and inflated in combination with all those other factors. We as the viewers know Adrien's trauma, how starved for love he is, what little support system he has vs the act he puts on as both Adrien and Chat Noir. We know too the meta fact that the writers never allowed CN the dignity to be rightfully upset about it or voice his most valid displeasure at anytime except when he was under the influence of a villain.
Taking the show at surface level, I can see him forgiving her. I just wished they had talked about it. Adrien isn't helpless in the face of Ladybug. He's faced Gabriel. He went to school and told him he didn't want to model and opened up about feeling like his father never wants to talk to him. so I know he can be more honest with Ladybug without a villain spell. The only reason I can think of it never reaching that point is because the writers didn't want it to. Not only do I think that he would have expressed himself well and honestly enough if given the moment, but I think there’s a good chance Ladybug would have tried to fix things if she actually knew what he was upset about and didn't reduce it to 'he's in love with me.' Which I can't completely blame her for. She had help from both Plagg and Adrien.
Maybe that’s just me being wishful about the blorbos, but my early season blorbos are better than their later season counterparts. The latter just seem like shills for a plot that doesn't match them.
I really miss early Adrien anyhow. He took a lot more flack then because he messed up more because he actually had a personality that allowed him to disagree and have sassy moments. Sometimes he was right, sometimes wrong, but at least he felt more layered.
Whew, this is a long ask! I'll take this part by part.

The thing is, I don't want him to turn his back on Ladybug in Strikeback. I've said before that I love that scene. What spoils is for me is that the conflict is never addressed after that episode, and it just makes it come off as Chat Noir pushing away his hurt to be there for Ladybug once more. Like he just accepted that he'll be treated in ways he doesn't like. The scene in isolation is one of my favorites, but it's how the aftermath was dealt with that makes it bad.
You're partially right. He doesn't really try to actually talk with her until Risk/Strikeback. And part of this is because of his own trauma. But the other part of it is also because Ladybug has also become more and more unapproachable over the course of the season. When he does try to approach her in some way, he gets shut down.
You're pretty spot on about the other reasons for why he feels the way he does.
There are also the reasons that the fandom projects onto Adrien as things he 'should' be upset about, but is never actually upset about and have never had any canon ground: She’s the leader and the only holder with a cure. They’ve never been exactly equal despite that one line and he’s never had an issue with this on the battlefield. He only wants to know what’s going on. If he does have some leftover resentment at Fu not choosing or training him, his beef is with Fu.
I agree that any resentment he feels for Fu not training him isn't Marinette's fault.
This is getting long, so I'll put the rest of it under the cut.
So, he isn't entitled to their identities. I personally think he would have been justified in wanting to know before Season 4, but it's not really that way anymore. But in any case, that isn't the issue. The issue is Ladybug playing loose and fast with the rules, allowing others to know their identities and even revealing her own identity to someone else while making sure that Chat Noir sticks to the rules. He has a right to be upset about that.
Her plan with Luka to reveal their identities and erase his memory. This is to me her most egregious offense in season 4 and if he knew about it, it would make the argument against his forgiveness much stronger in my eyes. But he doesn’t. And it becomes obsolete information after the episode.
The point is that it shouldn't have become obsolete. She was going to do something awful to him. I don't think it should have been thrown aside. He should know about it. She's shown that she's willing to take advantage of his trust and she never actually learnt any lesson about not doing that or that it was wrong. He's entitled to information about her actions that could potentially have harmed him. That's something she should admit to.
I think the reason for this is clear in your own next paragraph. I will say again that him cutting ties with her in Strikeback is not something that I want.
And that's exactly it. The season spends so many episodes building up this conflict between them, building up Ladybug's secret keeping and Chat Noir's increasing resentment and insecurity over the fact, and then... reduces it to him being in love with her. There are plenty of valid reasons for him to be angry with her, but Kuro Neko, the episode where the Ladynoir conflict is supposedly at an end, tells us that the reason for all this is because "Chat Noir is in love with Ladybug." I call BS.
It's a severe flaw in the writing. They reduce the conflict down to being about Chat Noir being in love with Ladybug while brushing over everything else that was set up. Him being in love with her may have been a slight factor, but it was never the main problem. If he hadn't been in love with her, he would still have the right to be pissed. Reducing it down to him being in love with her reduces the whole conflict, and Kuro Neko actually ends with Adrien saying he was too sensitive (which is Gabe rhetoric) and him apologizing to her as though she did nothing wrong at all. Kuro Neko is just... a fucking awful episode.
And I think you've hit the nail right on the head. This is exactly the problem with Kuro Neko and Season 4 as a whole.
I do sort of disagree with Ladybug being approachable. I think Glaciator 2 did do some damage. See, it's always been their dynamic to banter and for Chat Noir to flirt. Ladybug herself has enjoyed their banter and has responded to his flirtatious comments with nothing more than a small roll of her eyes. When he does it at the wrong time, she tells him to cut it out and he does. Considering that, throwing him a trashcan is unnecessarily overblown. That's way out of line. It's clearly because she's stressed out and annoyed about the situation and because of everything else going on, but him never bringing up anything so as to not upset her is a pretty reasonable interpretation after that. And it does happen again in Kuro Neko. He offers to help, she snaps at him.
The situations with Guilttrip and others like it were when it wasn't about Ladybug. She is supportive of him and she does care for him, but it's always when it's not about her. When it is about her, she never actually puts in the effort to fix the problem and just smooths over the situation (Kuro Neko, Strikeback). Of course, a lot of his lack of communication is due to his upbringing, but Ladybug is also visibly more unapproachable now.
Spot on.
Spot on again.
I will say that Miraculous trying to make the switch from a monster-of-the-week type of show to having an overarching plot was an ambitious choice, but it did not work out well, for reasons you've mentioned here.
I will also say, when I criticize Marinette, it isn't often Marinette herself that I criticize but the writing around her. The sort of writing that involves other characters bending over so that she doesn't look bad, or Adrien being reduced to her emotional support partner who doesn't demand a thing from her. That's ultimately what Season 4 had him learn, that he isn't and never will be her equal and that he should just be okay with whatever she does. And since Adrien character is that of the abuse victim who has never been allowed to be his own person, it just paints a very nasty picture. So, I think we do largely agree on many things, anon.
Thank you for your ask!

I am the only one who think the other Miraculous characters are just
.boring or plain?
Is like, they don’t do that much in the series, if they do, is not really good or is just plain
Like
The classmates for example
They don’t do to much in the series, the only thing they do right now is just be Adrinette shippers and only that
It’s not that is just one of them been akumatized or just appear as superhero’s
Speaking of superhero’s
They are just so bland, forget about the fact is some of them have a cool suit, they’re just boring
Even in their debuts doesn’t feel any special, is only “look this character! Is gonna be a new superhero! Aren’t you exited!?” I would if they were more interesting, but guess what?, they’re not
When they appeared I was just like “oh right, those guys exist, for what?”
Look Juleka, it was cool when she transform and her suit is awesome (one of my favorites but the way), but after that, she doesn’t really do that much, she is just another “yes man” to Ladybug
The only thing they do is just follow Ladybug’s orders, they don’t make their own decisions on battle or opinions about the situation, they just
there
Unironically THE only heroe that I feel ALOT of emotions and did have more going on was not other then CHLOE!
How ironic isn’t?
The mean character, the one the creator hates so much, the one a lot of people say she didn’t deserve be a heroe
.was the most interesting character of all of them
You know when the mean character end up being the most interesting of all the other characters than the ones that are “we” supposed to root for, says ALOT
You know you did something wrong right there
And how funny how the only heroe I did care about is replaced with another character who like the others, she doesn’t really matter
I mean, c’mon, I need more than that
The other thing I hate about the characters is that fact, or they are only “good good” or “bad bad”
All of them are sickly nice or just pure evil
Like, morally grey people doesn’t exist in this series or what!?
I need a Neutral character please
If there’s one, please tell me! The only one a can think right now is probably Nathalie
I mean, Emilie could be perfect, she not been a perfect sweet angel but not really that bad
But nope! She is just another good sweetheart who did nothing wrong
The kwamis could be perfect for that too, like not evil or good, they’re neutrals creatures doin whatever their wilders do
But no, they just so sickly nice or just acting like babies
..um
.how old are they again?
The only kwamis a I like and care about are Pollen, Trixx, Plagg, Nooroo, Duusuu, Wazzy and Sass
And kinda Tikki but like the others, she is just “Your the best, I love you!” “OMG new holder! 0w0”
Also, can the adults characters have more brain cells please! Why all of them are so freaking idiots!? Dang, that would explain the kids behavior in this show
What is wrong with the parents in this show!?
Like, Gabriel I can excuse him to been terrible, because he is the bad gay-I mean bad guy anyway, if is this his job? well, he does a good one (me no trying to ignore whatever happens in the leaks)
But like, Marinette parents are just those types of parents who let their kids whatever they want, sure, they’re not terrible people but they’re not perfect, but the series paint them as “The perfects parents”
Andre could be a perfect example of a father who fails to their kid but tries to better but doesn’t know how
But nooo, he throw his biological daughter like trash to her abusive mother and replace her with another kid?
What lesson is this?? Throw your kid like trash if they don’t behave like you want and blame them for that when you were the one who raise them!?
Fuck Andre, I hated you before and I despide you now, I hope you paid for this and get karma after that!
Ugh
Ok thinks that’s all

Pollen! Sorry for making her kind of 😏 it was unintentional i swear
Powers and abilities (other than basic kwamis ones)
- Jaw splits (not all the way though)
- Can regurgitate and spit chunks covered in corrosive stomach acid at enemies (eating lemons increases effects)
- Can grow an extra pair of smaller arms
- Can inject foes with pheromones from her stinger and take complete control of them, can also spray it from her wrists which puts foes into a zombie like state that takes intense concentration and will power to break out of
- Stinging can also freeze enemies in place
Personality:
Respectful to all but can be a diva if she wants to be, definitely calls anyone and everyone darling or sweetie or dear. She oozes confidence and flare and she knows it, and when shes in the mood she gives good advice, however if you just randomly run up to her and ask for advice she’ll end up panicking and telling you something wild or stupid or both while keeping the diva facade.
Relationships:
Tikki - She has a high respect for her “older sister” tikki, though she does enjoy teasing her every once in a while. They have a close bond to one another and in typical “little sister” fashion shes had her moments of being annoying to tikki
Nooroo - As for her “little brother/twin” nooroo she cares for him deeply and will destroy anyone who dares hurt him, though she does try to help him with his confidence along with tikkis help.
Chloe - unlike other holders who are terrified of their kwamis the second they see them, pollen was quite surprised to find that chloe was not just unafraid but ecstatic to see her. That wasn’t to say their relationship wasn’t rocky however, chloes obnoxious attitude put a strain on pollens patience, pollen may be a diva but chloe was just a plain old brat. Pollen eventually learned why she was they way she was (cough cough her shitty neglectful mom cough cough) so she began helping chloe become the person she deserved to be instead of desperately trying to copy her mom to win her affections. Because of pollen chloe started to become a better person and as such they got closer until, like tikki and plagg with their holders, they formed a mother and daughter relationship.
Fun facts:
- Her pheromones do not affect kwamis (at least not fully), she also sprays some on herself like a perfume occasionally
- Nooroo and pollen are“twins” in that they look almost they same so the kwamis just started calling them that for fun
- She sounds like sophie from mamma mia
- Although she is charming and slightly sophisticated she is a dork through and through, she eats up cheesy and bad movies like candy and knows all the latest gossip
- She relentlessly “flirts” with miss mendeleiev whenever she tries to capture the kwamis, she enjoys making her flustered and humors her attempts at capturing them, she doesn’t actually like her in that way but does find her reactions cute

The Horse Miraculous gave him a dark brown suit, white hair pulled back like a mane. He detransformed quickly before Plagg could make a quip.
That didn’t stop him, though. “Nice of you to finally canter in here, Pops.”
I love this little exchange! The thought of Gabriel with a ponytail (shudders) and plagg punning at him and Gabriel knowing he looks dumb and trying to drop it as fast as possible
(and I know the holders supposedly design the suits themselves, but I like to think Kaalki did a little sabotage). I love how you sprinkle humor throughout the story, knowing the right places to add it so it adds to and doesn’t take from the mood of the scene- whether it’s a tense mood or a sweet or emotion in between.
So my first question is do you see yourself as a funny person?
And secondly, how in the world do you write a character who is not like you? You said somewhere that Felix and Lila are hard to write because they are both “smarter than me.” I’ve always wondered how authors do this

lolol odnlb plagg HATES gabriel 😂 he will take any excuse to mock the shit out of him! although this gabriel has been stuck in a i-deserve-everything-bad-that's-happened-to-me mindset, so he would just take it 💀 kaalki DEFINITELY sabotaged that man though. she wasn't about to let gabriel walk around looking good!
thank you i'm glad you like my humor đŸ„ș i think i'm averagely funny honestly! i'm probably funnier on paper than in real life, and i know lots of ppl funnier than me in both ways. but it does make me feel really good when people laugh at my jokes đŸ’–đŸ€© especially if they work in my fics!
felix and lila ARE smarter than me okay. to write them i have to plan out their dialogue and what they say vs what they think and what each of them are thinking during that conversation or exchange. their minds work more quickly and make connections better than i do, but that doesn't mean i'm not capable of getting there on my own eventually! luckily i get to make them go at my pace, and let their brainpower show through the deductions they make with the information given.
as to writing characters different to me... idk! i just like putting myself in others heads/shoes. you've seen my enneagram thing so you know as a 9 i just do this anyway. it's all about focusing on what they think and how they think it and how they're going to react. i literally go into their head and think their thoughts and feel their feelings when i'm doing this! it really is like being possessed.
thank you so much for saying all these nice things<333 most of all ty for thinking i'm funny! favoriting this ask forever đŸ€©

When FĂ©lix was pretending to be Adrien and he had The Red Moon hidden, FĂ©lix and Kagami were above just about everyone else during The Diamond’s Dance because Adrien and Kagami were supposed to be The King and Queen.
Felix used The Red Moon to Get rid of pretty much everyone because a few were Bad.
Plagg, the Kwami of Destruction did the same thing to the Dinosaurs because some TRex’s were bad.
Felix had sung the Song “Snap of My Fingers” while under the light of the Red Moon.
Gabriel had sung “Snap of My Fingers” in the same episode where he managed to steal The Black Cat Ring and it isn’t retconned.
Felix had become “Senti Rights” but it contradicts how he handed back The Ring that He stole. (And His behavior towards Adrien in general) In Emotion, He got rid of Gabriel after telling him off.
Felix did everything that he did in Emotion because he wanted to Please/save Adrien, Plagg’s Holder. Adrien/Plagg were the First ones that Felix made disappear as well as The First ones that Felix brought back during the events of Emotion. Felix brought everyone back because Adrien (and Kagami) ordered him to.
Tumblr media
Felix realized that he shouldn’t have made The Red Moon while he was really angry and commented on what could happen if He lost control. Felix reluctantly got rid of The Red Moon and began crying out of guilt for killing it.
After He was done, FĂ©lix went to join his mother Amelie. Amelie was angry. She called Gabriel a Monster and stated that everyone else was a monster. Unlike when He made The Red Moon, FĂ©lix was more calm, and told her that not everyone was a monster while hugging her and smiling. Later FĂ©lix starts behaving (a little) better and he ended getting together with Kagami. (Although The relationship was extremely rushed)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Felix firmly believed that Adrien and Kagami would be happy and safe with everyone gone. Felix wasn’t expecting Adrien and Kagami to not approve of Their Abusive Parents (and everyone else) vanishing.
In Felix’s mind, pretty much every single Human is nasty. Most of the characters he met are mean/abusive.
Ladybug who is a celebrated Hero, had happily murdered Sentis without guilt or acknowledgment that it isn’t their fault that they were brainwashed. Whereas For Humans, Ladybug is much more reluctant even when they deserve it. (She understood Chat Noir feeling guilty for accidentally causing a Terrorist to be doomed.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
During Emotion, quite a few confrontations took place.
Amelie (at Felix’s request) confronted Gabriel and Nathalie.
Felix confronted Gabriel for his bad behavior.
Marinette/Ladybug, Kagami and Adrien confronted Felix on his bad behavior.

*SPOILERS* for ML Episode 11: Deflagration (Transmission Part 2)
So, I just watched Deflagration and I have some things to say...
First thing I simply loved about this episode was seeing Gabriel doing the snapping fingers dance/song sequence. Our man was unhinged and insane in a really fun way (he's going crazier and crazier by the episode and i kinda love it). Especially in front of Natalie and her "no fucks given" reaction. I thought it was hilarious.
Spoilers for Emotion in the next paragraph:
Also, tanking into account that this episode comes before Emotion, where FĂ©lix does a very similar dance/song of "snapping my fingers", it seems to imply some connection between the two. I'm starting to think FĂ©lix and Adrien are sentimonster twins or something, because the similarities between FĂ©lix and Gabriel seem to indicate more than an uncle-nephew usual similarities...
On another note, that cute little scene of Djwifi was incredibly cute and I adored Nino's entire character in this episode - super suportive and ready to lead the Revolution (Resistance), eheh
However, can we please talk about Scarabella and Kitty Noire for a minute. I think Alya was really good in her substitute Ladybug role (and was a good throw back to the Origins episodes) with a good amount of foreshadowing and reasoning and to how it works and then didn't.
Kitty Noire and Zoé as a character, however, irritates me to no end. I mean no offense, she's perfectly fine, and it's of no fault of her own. I just don't like that the writers couldn't be bothered to write the redemption arc Chloé deserved, so instead doubled down on her mean girl antics (since season 3) and just created a new character out of nowhere to replace her. Like, do your job correctly, please. I know it's Thomas Astruc's fault because he has always had a strange little hate boner over Chloé - a character he created - and thus Zoé was born. But like, idk i just think her character is incredibly bland and boring (she's just too nice) and feels a bit out of place in our main cast and especially as the Bee Miraculous Holder. She doesn't feel very "queen bee" to me (or "vespera" or whatever, but you get what i mean) ...
(Also this episode was filled with the usual Chloé character assassination *sighs*, oh well...)
Zoé rant aside (sorry about that), i feel like she falls behing Alya a lot in these two episodes in terms of temporarily replacing Chat Noir: she has no relation to Adrien, has never expressed any motivation/traits taht would justify her getting the black cat miraculous; she also doesn't get any in suit moments to justify why it had to be her and no one else (at this point, Nino would have been a better Chat Noir for a narrative stand point but I guess...)
On a lighter note, her last scene with Plagg (although it felt a little "undeserved" for a lack of a better term) was quite sweet and gave me a little hope the writers will do something interesting with her character in the future (I haven't read the bible leaks, so please no spoilers in the comments/reblogs). So, here's to having hope for character development.
Anyway, all around, i think it was a good episode - nothing special but a fun little side quest where our heroes find out they have responsabilities they can't abandon (even for romance) and get saved by the Power Of Friendship (TM).
Feel free to comment on any of my points :)
Now, to thank you for reading my post/rant, have a meme (Spoilers for Deflagration and Emotion):

I don't enough people talk about the absolute potential that Betrayed!Marinette and Betrayed!Ash have if they ever met/crossed universes. One one hand, you have Marinette who is the guardian of the miraculous and Ladybug, able to bring back the dead and repair damage after an Akuma attack. On the other, you have the Alola champion and the chosen one who have saved the world more times than I can count and has the favor of the legendary/mythical pokemon. Those two would be an absolute powerhouse and have a sweet sibling dynamic, because I know they would bring their worlds down in a storm of vengeance and revenge. I just know they would be teaching each other about their parts of the world and be teaching each other their languages, only to find out that Kalos is literally just France. Marinette would absolutely be teaching Ash how to bake and how the Miraculous work/how she is a superhero and Ash would be teaching her how to battle with pokemon(Marinette gets an Eevee, change my mind).
Now onto the traitors, oh boy. So it's no surprise that in almost every Betrayed!Ash fic I have read that Misty is usually one of the traitors and ones tryna kill Ash, tryna make him give up on his dream, and in literally every Betrayed!Marinette fic I have read, Lila makes Marinette's life a living hell. So, the traitor list would be: Misty, Brock, May, Max, Drew, Kenny, Trip, Paul, Tracey, Serena, Delia, Pikachu, Lila, Alya, Rose, Sabrina, Ivan, Mylene, Max, Alix, Kim, Adrien, Mr.Damocles, and Ms.Bustier. Long list right? Well, here are the loyals: Dawn, Clemont, Bonnie, Alain, Marin, The Alola Gang, Regional Profs, Regional Champions, Gladion, Aether Foundation, Legendary/Mythical pokemon, Luka, Juleka, Chloe(she deserves better imo), Nathaniel, Marc, Aurora, Mireille, Zoe, Kagami, Felix, the Kwami's, Fei, the New York superheroes. Marinette's parents aren't dumb enough to belive Lie-la, so they are safe, same with Luka and Juleka's parents and the Celestial guardian(I forgot his name). Hawkmoth and Mayura are still villains, but I know they will stop for a bit to get over the shock of people and pokemon just appearing out of nowhere, which gives Plagg time to go to Marinette for a new holder(Cat Noir!Ash anyone?), so yeah....Imma make this an au because I have zero self control. Imma name it....Betrayed Chosen au(super original I know)

So I've watched all the English Dubbed Miraculous Ladybug episodes: 1-18.
One: I'm pissed that Alya still hasn't realized how shitty Lila is. (I mean surely with Marinette being Ladybug and Alya knowing that, the girl would have put some points together. Though I guess Alya just makes me salty because I was a reporter student/literally went to college for three years for studying journalism and she just... Anyway I have to remember she's still a kid. But also not the best friend because best friends are meant to be ride or die and if one has vibes about a person, we all feel vibes about the person.)
Two: Chloe could have had a redemption arc. She could have. She and Zoe could have been incredible power siblings. We coulda had it all.
Three: Lila reminds me of someone from my real life and I wish i could throttle her. (Legally can I? Because ive seen spoilers say that she's not even really named Lila and her mom is one of like 3 moms. So I'm wondering if she's like those people who look really young but are actually 30 and posing as teens for a con. If thats the case, legally i could throttle her.)
Four: I hated the episode of Derision. I hated the trauma porn it was. I hated how it triggered shit in me from my own high school experiences.
Five: Gabriel just shut up and die already. Even Nathalie is tired of your shit. She's probably literally counting down the days until she's dead so she never has to deal with your bullshit again. (Or she's counting how long it'll take her to snap and kill you herself before the cataclysm does.)
Six: Kagami don't trust the evil teen who is potentially a disguised adult conning people. You deserve better than her. She's a total liar and you're awesome.
Seven: I love Zoe. My baby gay.
Eight: Plagg, use your kwami senses to find the other kwami and then sneak into Gabriel's room to finish what you started. Itll be fine. Adrien will recover.
Nine: Felix! My beloved. I wanted him to win. Why couldn't he bring everyone except Gabriel back and then explain everything to Adrien while Gabriel is "gone". Then he and his mom could move into the manor, adrien have his freedom and save the kwamis, and potentially Emilie. Please?
Ten: I loved Argos. I love the idea of not being tied to certain things while being a miraculous holder. (I wish we could've seen his relationship with Dusuu, but it seemed like they were on good terms.)
(I wanna see Adrien go batshit as Chat Noir when it all comes out. Have his own little "villain" descent with a song like Felix did. Like yes please.)

(E)GG AU: Fu’s Story
One day, Wayzz sensed the Peacock cracking. He couldn’t tell exactly where it was (a precaution to protect against bad Guardians), just that it was in Paris. Fu transformed, intending to handle it himself, but quickly realized he was too old to wield the Miraculous.
(As kids lack maturity and the elderly have lived long enough to reach insanity, the Miraculous are designed so that holders outside of their “prime” can only use a power once per recharge (without the use of spells). Due to the effects of aging, elderly holders typically also experience loss of agility.)
Knowing he’d have to trust another holder again, he traveled to Paris to start seeking out new heroes.
(His experiences during The Great War influenced him to only release the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous, be adamant about not revealing their identities to anyone, and (partly influenced by his upbringing in the GO) seek out teen heroes: old enough to handle the power (though limited if he needed to relinquish it), but also too young to easily pack up and go (unlike the couple of adults who’d tried that). (Furthermore, though he had an understanding of modern revelations about youth, thus also being against teen marriage, it was still through an ancient lens. So, though he was aware of how stressful and demanding heroism and a double life would be, if they proved to be “mature”, he viewed placing the responsibility and high expectations on teens just the same as he would with a young adult.))
By the time the Butterfly was activated with nefarious intentions, he was prepared to give his top picks a final test just to double-check. (He’d admit he was more than a bit biased in picking Adrien, but how could he deny someone who only wished for freedom? Besides, as the boy was beloved by all, it would spare Plagg from having to once again deal with his power being used to tear down all his holder’s enemies. (Even still, the (subconscious) influence of The Great War made him hesitant to reveal his existence to the Cat holder (and the Ladybug holder by extension).))
Marinette and Adrien did even better than he expected, despite the first-time hiccup. He surely thought Marinette would quit after forgetting to purify the akuma, but she got back out there (which is far more than he could expect from himself) and exceeded all his expectations. He felt terrible for just throwing them into the fire, but he couldn’t risk connecting them to him. It wasn’t like he would be a good guide anyway, especially not above ancient beings.
But fate had other plans (yes, eventually meeting Adrien, but that would be later): Marinette brought the Grimoire to him, and gave him hope. Perhaps false, but hope nonetheless. The Grimoire had been left back at the temple, and if it survived, maybe some of the Guardians survived too. Much better suited for passing on the legacy than he was. Even still, Marinette certainly had the kwamis’ favor and the skill for it, maybe it was time to pass his knowledge on before time caught up with him. Passing on the Turtle (however temporary) must’ve been his first hint.
(He refers to his box as the “Chinese Miracle Box” because it’s the last box from the Chinese temple. With all the cross-culture influences, box trading, and even some Miraculous swaps between boxes, most of the boxes only represented awkward mash-ups of cultures.)
Getting sick was a stark reminder of his mortality. He wasn’t all that sick, he knew he wasn’t. He would recover just fine, probably in a few days and the medicine would quell his symptoms in the meantime. But
thinking about if he was that sick, the possibility of him later becoming that sick
It left him in the kind of mental anguish that hurt him physically. He was glad the doctor brushed it off as him being dramatic– he was! And neither she nor Marinette deserved to put up with his problems. But
 still
He wanted to see Marianne again. He wanted to be with her again. And he completely understood if she didn’t want to after he left her behind for so long, but she deserved closure for why; that she did nothing wrong. And his anxiety pressured him to tell her now, so he asked Marinette to pass on his letter to her.
Marianne knew Fu’s letter was off. She knew reading to the end would clear everything up. It was just
all the talk of being “too late”
it sounded like the words of someone
No. No! It had to be something more bearable! It had to be
He didn’t love her anymore! Yes! Something she could get over. After all, they hadn’t seen each other in years. It would be pretty messed up that he sent Ladybug to deliver his message instead of coming in person to say so, but that’s a much better option than he physically couldn’t. Because he could! He’s fine! He’s alive! He’s not
! He’s not
He just doesn’t love her anymore because they haven’t seen each other in so long

“Backwarder
You want to go back and make up for lost time.”
Oh, how she did. Maybe
Maybe they would’ve had more time before
 before
Just become akumatized and you won’t have to think about it.

Why did she act so rashly? Now she and Fu were going to lose even more time together because she couldn’t just read to the end
That’s okay. He’s okay. That’s what’s important to her. She missed Fu, but if Ladybug was with him, that means he’s not alone. And she has Mr. Ramier, so she isn’t either. They’re okay.
It hurt Fu to lose Marianne again, but he should’ve known he was asking too much. He was supposed to be focused on helping Marinette become a Guardian, not his late-life romance. Though it was nice to know Marianne was okay.
[In this version of the Butterfly, Hawkmoth’s empathy is so bad, he constantly misreads feelings/doesn’t bother to look deeper into buried feelings (often just makes stuff up when he can’t tell at all). (There are many akuma I apply this idea to, but that’s a discussion for another post.)]
When he heard of the new exhibit from China, he was curious about what was dug up in his first home, and decided to tune in to the news broadcast. He never knew whether or not that had been a good thing.
He couldn’t leave her to fix his mistakes again. Not this one. He knew Marinette. He knew she would do everything she could to stop it. But she couldn’t. And she would die trying. After Adrien sacrificed himself first. No. He would handle this himself. He’d take their Miraculous to keep them out of danger and lead that beast away from everyone. He’d lead it all the way back to China and drown with it in a volcano if he had to. He would not– could not– let it destroy innocent people all over again. Perhaps Hawkmoth and Mayura would leave Paris to avoid getting their Miraculous eaten, or simply because he took the Ladybug and Cat with him. Maybe he could take them down with that beast. If he couldn’t, maybe the other heroes Marinette and Adrien met could. He just had to get that beast away from Paris. Away from Marinette and Adrien and Marianne. He had to.

He really shouldn’t have underestimated Marinette. She was an incredible Ladybug, and once again, she proved she’d earned her spot among the legendary heroes. He hoped he wasn’t too insulting in his doubt. The restoration of the temple, the Guardians, Su-Han, the news brought him to tears. But he knew he had to remain in Paris. Hawkmoth and Mayura were his responsibility. Besides, he was surely exiled now that Su-Han was back to explain what Fu had done. Someone would certainly come for the box, and he would give it up, but he would still stay to deal with the consequences of the attacking akumatized victims and sentimonsters.
(He even got his magic compass, and other assorted treats, back from the staff. His staff which was now at the Louvre. He allowed Ladybug to give it to them, as it was beautiful and well-designed and a piece of his history that should be shared with the world. Though he had mixed feelings about giving it to the same people who literally dug up his trauma.)
He never wanted to make Marinette the Guardian like this. If she didn’t need the magic he was passing onto her, he wouldn’t have put the burden on her at all. She didn’t need the stress. She was going through so much already. But someone would come for the box, and they could help her. He just hoped she’d be okay in the meantime.

It was strange not having memory. He didn’t even have enough to miss it. A courtesy of fate, he supposed. He felt bad not recognizing the people who apparently knew him, but they were so kind, he could hardly be upset by the idea of getting to know them again. Especially Marianne. He didn’t know why, but he felt so safe with her, like he could tell her anything. Maybe he used to.
Marianne thought she would’ve been more upset seeing Fu without his memories, but he looked so
relaxed. It was the first time she saw him without the weight of the world in his eyes. It was in an admittedly tragic way, but he was at peace. And she found herself just happy to be with him again. That they could be in peace.
Fu was different, of course. Sort of in the way that she felt like she was making a new friend (which she believed was only fair, as Fu was experiencing the same but to an even higher degree). Yet, he wasn’t as much of a “blank slate” as she had initially worried, and still retained many of his old habits and sense of morals. Just more relaxed, and less nervous. She supposed that made sense; the memories weren’t gone, even if he couldn’t access them. It would take some getting used to, he really wasn’t her old friend anymore, but she had no complaints, she liked her new friend too.

I think the fact that you have no opinion on zoe at all speaks to the heart of the issue people take with her receiving the bee. Respectfully, I disagree on Chloe's arc going nowhere (at least as far as s2 is concerned), but I think the issue is that the arc was started and never completed.
Chloe had no buildup, to some for becoming a hero, and to some for losing that hero status. I blame that on the show still trying to pull self-contained episodes on s3, but that's neither here nor there. At any rate, there's really nothing about her arc that felt complete, so to have her go from a main character to a mindless puppet manipulated by the 3 major villains as of s5, feels a bit off from a writing standpoint.
Zoe on the other hand... on one hand I blame her reception to being introduced so late in the series. We knew about and met Audrey in season 2, why is this other child of this famous fashion critic not a constant source of gossip and scandal regarding Audrey? Season 3's finale establishes Andre and Audrey were married for 25 years at that point, a love child with some other man seems like a huge point of contention in any marriage, especially a high profile one as concerned with appearances as theirs. Beyond that, I think the biggest problem a lot of people have with Zoe is that she has absolutely no relevance to the plot beyond being tied to Chloe, and that's evident from how many times she's used as a stock background character with no dialogue. Chloe, for all the faults her writing has, is never there for no reason, she serves a narrative purpose, good or bad. If Zoe had been able to do the same, people might not object to her becoming the permanent bee holder as much. But after sole crusher and queen banana, Zoe only appears as a prominent character to highlight how much worse Chloe has become, or in the case of one episode, serve as the motivation for Marinette to confess to Adrien. Sure, okay, she can be gay, but it's literally never brought up again in any way since it neither helps nor hinders the lovesquare.
But where I think Zoe really becomes divisive is that despite her simplistic character and logically nearly impossible in universe existence, is that she has literally bent the narrative and the way the characters act in a way very reminiscent of a Mary Sue. When she becomes vesperia, Plagg, who is loathe to give out anything more than sass, praises her almost instantly. And then, he chooses her to be the next black cat. Over Nino, over Kagami or luka, and over almost anyone else in Paris who would make more narrative sense than Zoe. Adrien doesn't spend time with Zoe, he doesn't talk about Zoe to Plagg, Plagg realistically should have no reason to choose zoe. But he does, and not only does he choose Zoe, he offers to flippantly cataclysm Chloe for being mean to Zoe once, after ignoring all the terrible stuff gabriel has done to Adrien. And then, he claims he'll miss her despite being her kwami for maybe two days. Yet their onscreen bond is allegedly strong enough he's willing to murder for her?
I'm sorry but all I can see there is the hand of the author shoving Zoe in our faces going "look! Look at this new version of Chloe, isn't she great? She's so sweet and nice despite coming from a similar abusive background, she doesn't lash out from being denied her mother's love or affection. Bullying never negatively affected her! Why won't you guys like her? Look at how relevant she is!"
And there's nothing uncooler than someone trying to convince you something's cool. Chloe may not have deserved to be a hero again, but she deserved better than to be shoved aside with no ceremony. If Chloe was always going to be a villain, she should have been allowed to be a threat to contrast with Zoe filling in her sister's former role as hero. Chloe and Zoe could have worked, as foils, as a dark mirror of one another. Perhaps even a relationship like tangled the series had between rapunzel and Cassandra. But instead we have a character who feels like a square peg in a round hole because outside of Chloe she has little to no relevance to the core group. Chloe was allegedly Adrien's childhood friend, Nino is Adrien's friend and Alya's boyfriend, and Alya is Marinette's best friend and confidant. See how they all tie to each other?
Anyways, sorry to rant on your post, I think the issue wih zoe is less about people hating her and more about them hating what she represents, and more importantly; what was scrapped to bring her in at the eleventh hour
I always see people hate on Zoe for taking the bee miraculous, and talk about all the character development Chloe had that was thrown away.
But, what character development? The fact that now only 80% of Akumatizations were her fault instead of 90%? Her being a giant bully whenever and wherever she could? Her only apologizing to two superheroes and no one else? Her still keeping her best friend like a slave?
And even if she HAD had actual character development, she still wouldn't have been great to keep the bee miraculous. Hawk Moth knew she was Queen Bee, and he knew where she lived.
I have no big opinions on Zoe, but Chloe's character development was bad long before she was Miracle Queen.

Damienette Headcanons part 2
Not gonna lie, I've no idea if this is saltinette or pettynette. Probably both.
‱ Commissioner Gordon takes Marinette over to the tour guide an starts to converse with him quietly. The other boy, the one who's closest to her in age has stopped yelling at Lila. (That's how badly it escalated)
‱ Marinette is both unsurprised and unbearably irritated when Lila starts bragging about her relationship with the youngest Wayne brother, Daniel or Darrel or whatever his name (Marinette doesn't know the names of any of the Wayne boys, just the letter that each name starts with). She know that this just another lie, but before she can call her out on it somebody else does.
‱ The tour guide ('Richard' his name tag says) immediately turns his attention to Lila and snaps, "My little brother doesn't have a girlfriend, and if you continue spread lies and rumours about him, you will be faced with a lawsuit. Honestly, the nerve of some people."
‱ Gordon who's still there just shakes his head.
‱ Lila's face drains as her shocked and angry classmates turn to her with questions and accusations, demanding to know what else she lied about. Marinette's not gonna lie, she gets a sick sort of pleasure out of it.
‱ Marinette's voice is beautifully vindictive when she speaks.
‱ "Karma's a bitch, isn't she, Lila?"
‱ She's unsurprised when her classmates beg for her forgiveness. Marinette feels no guilt when she thinks about what she's gonna do next. Once they've finished (She's a fountain of neverending patience) she starts calling them out in their bullshit. (She goes easy on some of them. Rose, Juleka, Ivan. She leaves ChloĂ© out. ChloĂ© actually sided with her and their friends now. It's been pleasant.)
‱ She sounds like their normal Marinette when she speaks. Cheerful, innocent, naive.
‱ She starts with Mlle. Bustier. Calling out failings as a teacher with authority over children.
‱ She works her way through all of her former 'friends'. The only two left, she looked forward to destroying them.
‱ Her demeanor stays the same. Cheerful, innocent, naive.
‱ She calls out Alya. For her lack of loyalty, her hypocrisy, her toxic behavior during the past three months.
‱ Finally, Adrian. The best for last after all.
‱ His eyes are begging her not to say anything. She wonders why she never saw how selfish he was. She puts him to everyone. That he knew, that he told her to say anything, that he told her he was on her side, only to watch as she was bullied an ridiculed by Lila and her classmates. Barring ChloĂ© of course.
‱ Her next words are chosen carefully.
‱ "I loved you ,Adrian. But, when I asked for your help, you lied to me and buried my heart so far down in the dirt that I don't think I have one anymore."
‱ Hell hath no fury like a scorned Ladybug, thought Plagg.
‱ She watches her classmates gang up in him, furious. Lies hurt, she thinks. Only an idiot would think otherwise. The truth hurts worse, she knows.
‱ The boy who had yelled at Lila walks up to her. You're wrong, Angel, he thinks. You do have a heart. It just doesn't care for these people.
‱ He extends a hand for her to shake, "Hi, I'm Damian."
‱ She smiles shyly as she takes his hand.
‱ "I'm Marinette."

Just saw Kuro Neko and I am LIVID. They did Marinette so dirty it’s horrible. Even Plagg was gun-hoe for the Sadrien drama and BLAMED HER for Adrien giving up his miraculous.  If you have the time for a Kuro Neko fix it I’d appreciate it-I’m physically repulsed by what she went through and the show (Adrien) gaslighting her for doing her job. I was gaslighted by my parents for YEARS and relate so hard to Marinette for what she’s going through. She deserves better. Also shame on Plagg
Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry that happened to you! And of course you can have a fix-it!
Anonymous asked:
I now want Plagg salt. Let Marinette go off on him!
Anonymous asked:
Ok, so I know Kuro Neko came out like not even a day ago, but would you be willing to write a Lukanette fix-it? Pretty please 👉👈?
Absolutely~! Here’s a canon divergence where Viperion was amongst the heroes she’d picked that day.
—————
When Ladybug returned to the spot where Chat had been, she was shocked to see one of her chosen heroes for that day - Viperion - in his place, his back turned to her and his head facing the rooftop below him. She blinked in confusion, certain that she'd sent the other heroes - including him - off to detransform, yet there he was as if waiting there for her.
Dropping down behind him, she called in concern, "Viperion?"
His head rose at her voice, wordlessly telling her that she'd been heard.
"What are you doing here? Where's Chat?" she asked.
He turned around to face her and she gaped at how visibly upset he looked, his brows furrowed and his fist tightly closed at his side. She'd rarely seen him in such a state before, and especially not when she was Ladybug. The only thing even remotely comparable was when they’d been facing Bob Roth together.
"What happened...?"
"I'm sorry," he told her. "I know you trust my intuition, and I—" He paused, shaking his head. "—I knew something was wrong when Chat Noir showed up, so I stayed behind. I saw everything."
"Oh." She replayed the conversation in her head, now imagining Viperion nearby to hear it all. "Then you..."
She trailed off as his closed fist rose up to be level with her chest. He glanced at his hand, then her, a pained expression taking over his face as he uncurled his fingers.
An involuntary gasp left her. The cat miraculous was resting on his palm, his fingers twitching as if he were forcing himself to maintain some semblance of calm.
While she could only stare in shock, he explained in a low tone, "Chat Noir - Adrien - abandoned you. Us. The team. Paris." His gaze darkened at the ring in his hand. "Everyone."
Seeing the miraculous without a holder was already a shock to her system, but the name that she hadn't expected to hear made her freeze up like she'd been hit by Venom.
"Chat—A-adrien...?" She blinked rapidly, her eyes flickering from the ring to her surroundings as she processed what had been said. The image of Chat and Adrien switching back-and-forth between each other overtook her mind, making no sense to her emotionally and yet she knew that Viperion wouldn't lie to her about something like this.
Two colors that didn't go together clashing, perhaps doing well enough separately but making for an awful combination together. Deep down, it made sense in a way she couldn't quite fathom yet.
She winced as she heard the other heroes she'd called ringing in her head, all concerned and wondering where she was or what they should do with their miraculouses. Her own miraculous was also beeping at her, urging her that she didn't have time to stand here and do nothing.
"I'll take responsibility for it."
She raised her head to look Viperion in the eyes, the unprompted statement bringing her back to reality. "H-huh...?"
He averted his gaze from her, hiding the ring from the world again as his fists clenched at his sides. The brows of his mask furrowed, his teeth grit in his frustration at what she could only guess was the whole situation.
It occurred to her a second later that he must've been thinking several steps ahead. Paris was curious about Chat even if he wasn't around, and thus there'd be an uproar when they heard that he’d quit. They might even question if he quit at all or was "fired," though that still didn't explain why Viperion...
"Wait." She snapped out of it, her internal clock as a hero ticking at her. Turning away, she pulled out her yoyo and held her other arm out to take the ring back, explaining, "I-I'm about to detransform. We'll have to—"
"I know."
She reeled her yoyo back in preparation, but stopped as she caught the abnormal inflection in his tone. Suspecting something, she glanced over her shoulder at him and noted the guilty expression on his face. Even though he wasn't facing her fully, his eyes were staring at her apologetically.
"He's..." He exhaled through his nose, his lips pressed together in a tight, thin line. "He's done more than just this."
—————
In the end, Ladybug couldn't even find her voice to respond. She still had miraculouses to return and there was simply no time to keep standing around and talking about what had happened.
After recharging and giving Tikki a quick update on what was going on, she returned to being Ladybug in order to retrieve everyone's miraculouses. Intentionally, she saved Viperion for last, allowing the two of them to return to her house to talk further. They sat down on her chaise side-by-side, all of the kwami watching from afar while she stared down at the ring in her hands.
Luka went into as much detail as possible, starting with their fight with Wishmaker where he first learned hers and Chat's identities. She'd vaguely remembered the details, but she'd had no idea that Chat had given in to getting hit by the akuma. Neither of the two boys had told her, and though she did feel a little upset with Luka at first for keeping things from her, she understood why he'd done it.
After all, they'd broken up because of her identity. He must've known at that point - that she'd wanted so badly to tell him, but couldn't - and how awfully it could've gone for her emotionally if he'd revealed what he'd known on a day where she was already unsure of herself. So many things had gone out of her control, from first getting the miraculous and then to becoming guardian, and this was just yet another thing she didn't have a choice in.
And through it all, she could see how Luka was affected by the whole thing. He was upset, throwing his arms out whenever he emphasized the most distressing parts of the situation and occasionally running his fingers through his hair as if he had a headache. He was angry with himself, but she could sense that he was also angry on her behalf for how everything had gone down.
"I-it's not your fault," she offered, silently wondering how many things she didn't know about Chat—Adrien, that even Viperion wouldn't be aware of. Even if Viperion had told her that he'd known, she might've simply let it go and nothing would've changed.
Especially because, as she was quickly realizing, she would let Chat get away with far more than she maybe should've, simply because he was Chat. He would refuse to work with her or neglect putting full effort into battles, and she'd accepted it because he was her partner who'd been there since the very first akuma.
As for Viperion knowing her identity, Alya already knew too. Marinette also knew that - at least in the future - Bunnyx was aware of her and Chat's identities. When it came to time-based miraculouses, perhaps it was inevitable that they'd know her identity eventually, but...
to think that it was Chat Noir who caused Viperion to know. In fact, she distinctly remembered the Bunnyx of the future as well, saying that Chat had Cataclysmed her miraculous in his recklessness. She even wondered to herself if the Ladybug of the future had been around to see it.
Would she have been told if she wasn't?
"Thank you," Luka said, though he didn't sound reassured. He dropped his gaze to his pants, fidgeting with the two strings going across the rip on his knee. "But you don't have to comfort me. I should've seen it back then. I heard the first verse and should've known that the next one would go just as badly, or even worse. I thought I was doing the right thing by not saying anything, but he—" He sighed in exasperation, clutching his head as he added, "I was just protecting him without realizing it."
"What do you mean?"
He looked at her, a mix of emotions in his conflicted expression that were difficult to pin down all at once. "Even after I knew, I supported you with Adrien. Maybe I even let it slide because it was Adrien, but I was just putting you in danger." His grip on one of the strings tightened, the tugging motion he made snapping it. "If he'd pulled a stunt like that again when I wasn't there, who knows what could've happened. He wasn't just putting himself over his job; he was putting himself over you."
Her gaze softened, her mouth lost on what she could say next. He genuinely wasn't asking for her pity or sympathy, his words only showing that he cared about her and hated that she wasn't being cared for. It was almost bizarre seeing someone think about her to such a degree, when she'd been under the impression that it was her who had to think about everyone else.
"Marinette," Luka began, his hand reaching to take hers but stopping before he could hold it. After hesitating, his hand simply closed, like he didn't feel worthy to touch her. "I promise, I won't keep anything from you anymore. What I did was wrong and you have a right to not trust me."
She paused to take that in, looking from his guilt-ridden face to the closed hand still awkwardly hovering in the air. Luka being Luka, she believed him, knowing that he wouldn't say anything he didn't mean in his heart.
After contemplating to herself for a long moment, she reached over with her free hand and placed it over his. When his eyes met hers in confusion, she smiled at him.
"Thanks, but I do trust you, Luka. I know you did it for me because you're always looking out for me, and I can't be mad at you over one little mistake you made. I kept giving you the snake because I knew that, if you ever learned my identity, you'd keep it safe and wouldn't use it to take advantage of me. At the end of the day, you still did that. You didn’t even have to tell me everything you knew, but you did. You were still thinking of me, even if how you went about it before wasn’t right."
His lips parted at that, thoroughly touched by her gesture. Though he struggled at first for a reply, he managed a strained smile, half-serious and half-playful as he replied, "I don't think it's something you can call a little mistake."
She giggled at the lightening atmosphere. "We can talk about it later. There's enough negativity right now and I don't want either of us getting akumatized."
He chuckled in return, not exactly back to his usual self but agreeing with her nonetheless. "You're right." Then, looking pointedly at the miraculous in her hand, he asked, "So, what do you want to do about that?"
She followed his gaze to the ring, tilting her hand and watching it roll around on her palm. "Well..." She paused, knowing the answer was obvious but also feeling the weight of her words. "I guess I'll have to figure out how to get a new cat."
At that, a voice suddenly rang out from across the room, "What?!"
Her eyes darted towards the source, Plagg flying over to hover in front of her. He looked upset, continuing, "You think you can just get new cheese after leaving the other one to go bad!?"
Completely oblivious, she blinked. "...Cheese? I didn't have any cheese in the first place?"
He groaned, frustrated. "I mean Chat Noir! He's in love with you, and you going around with other cheeses broke his heart!" He spread his arms out for emphasis. "Instead of embracing the beauty of the cheese you had, you went and mixed cheeses together when four-cheese has to be done delicately!"
She raised a brow, completely lost and only able to tilt her head in confusion. Of course she knew that Chat Noir was in love with her, but what did that have to do with—
"You're saying she cheated on him?" Luka interjected.
She glanced over at him in surprise, seeing him stare at Plagg with a dark skepticism. Whatever she'd missed, he seemed to have caught it.
"C-cheating on—" She looked back at Plagg. "Chat Noir and I aren't dating?"
Plagg flinched backwards at the sudden tag teaming, then straightened with a dismissive wave of the paw. "I...I didn't say that! Chat was upset because of—"
"The other heroes. I heard you," Luka cut in again, the warmth drained from his voice. "Is that why he didn't show up today?"
"What?" Marinette gaped at him, stunned by the blunt accusation. Yet, if it was Luka making it... "Plagg, is that true?"
The expression on Plagg's face made her feel incredibly stupid. He was glaring at Luka, having apparently thought that whatever he’d been trying to do would’ve been much easier.
"He—" Plagg swallowed. "He tried! I told him to prove that he was the best—"
"So you're saying he had to be convinced?" Marinette pressed, both able to keep up with the conversation now and also not liking it.
Luka chimed in again, leaning forward to ask Plagg, "You think that she was excluding Chat on purpose?"
"No!" Plagg insisted, his eyes darting back and forth between the two. "But she completely forgot about him!"
Marinette, feeling wholly offended at this point, reached into her pocket for her phone. Pulling it out, she set the miraculous aside so she could navigate to her contacts with Alya, scrolling for a particular conversation and then rightfully shoving it in Plagg’s face.
It was when she'd had to go away and leave the ladybug miraculous to Scarabella, even detailing to Alya how to deal with Chat Noir in a way that'd make him happy.
"Chat Noir is my partner. I know that," she said, promptly stashing her phone away, "and I pick other heroes for some akuma because I know they'll get the job done as quickly as possible. I'm not doing it to spite him or make him feel bad."
"You didn't see it!" Plagg accused. "He was miserable the whole time when you kept doing things without him!"
"What was I supposed to do!?" she asked, genuinely baffled. Throwing her arms out, she added, "I'm doing my job to keep Paris safer! Shadow Moth is reakumatizing people and I know how to deal with them. I can't wait around for Chat Noir to show up when I can't even know if he's coming!"
"...Marinette," Luka spoke up suddenly, as if something had occurred to him.
She glanced over, though she could see Plagg almost seeming to take some sort of little victory out of the corner of her vision, like he believed that Luka talking to her directly meant that he was about to critique her.
Luka, in actuality, directed his gaze in Plagg's direction and asked, "Did Plagg already know your identity?"
"Yes?" She followed his eyes to Plagg. "Why?"
"Then doesn't that mean that he could've come to you at any time?"
Plagg recoiled in response, his ears arching backwards like a cat that’d been trapped.
Luka continued without pause, "It's not Marinette's fault for your holder not opening up to her, and she would've listened to you if you'd come to her saying that there was a problem." He glared accusingly. "Maybe you're the one who let the cheese go bad."
That seemed to rile Plagg up further, though Marinette couldn't bring herself to care at this point. Luka was right: Chat had not only said nothing to her at any time, but she would've happily heard Plagg out if he'd showed up to talk to her. No matter how much she personally might've been concerned about a kwami flying around Paris, Wayzz had done it before to contact her when Fu was still around and Plagg certainly didn't seem like the type who'd care about things like safety.
Her hands tightened into fists on her lap. Had Luka not been there to argue with Plagg's strange metaphors, she wouldn't have had nearly as much to think about concerning Chat Noir. Plagg wasn’t just guilting her, he was disrespecting her.
Meanwhile, the back-and-forth between Plagg and Luka went on.
"Chat Noir has been around since the beginning!"
"That doesn't mean that he's more important than Paris, and everyone brings something to the table."
"You don't know how it feels to be the only cheese on the platter until everyone else starts wanting more!"
"A band doesn't bring in more people for no reason, and if one of them isn't happy unless the other is giving him special attention, then—"
"Adrien is special! And—"
Marinette stood up abruptly, towering over the kwami, "Plagg."
Said kwami looked up at her, backing away slightly for comfort but also not breaking their eye contact.
"I know that I haven't been guardian for a long time, but I am the guardian. Even Su-Han acknowledged me and let me keep the Miracle Box." She placed a hand to her chest. "You need to respect me if we want to get anywhere like this. I wasn't neglecting Chat and I can't give him special treatment just because he's my partner. My duty is to Paris first, not him, and if I can make Paris a little less miserable by bringing in other heroes to speed things up - even if I don’t need them - that’s what I’m doing."
Plagg maintained his stare for a few seconds, then finally averted his gaze, looking off bitterly at nothing in particular.
Mentally brought back to the matter at hand, she took a breath before announcing, "I will find a new cat."
His ears flicked up at that. He looked back at her in shock, protesting, "But—!"
"I've made a lot of mistakes," she admitted, "but I won't make another one by giving the cat back. Even if I didn't know Chat's identity, he almost let himself - did let himself during Second Chance - get hit by an akuma and revealed himself to Shadow Moth. He refused to show up for a fight because he didn't feel special enough. He left the ring—" She brought her hands up to clutch her head, the mental image vivid in her mind and giving her a thorough amount of anxiety. "He left one of the miraculouses Shadow Moth wants on a roof! Do you know how dangerous that was!? If I hadn't come back - if Viperion hadn't been there - who knows what would've happen to it and where it—you—would be right now! How am I supposed to trust someone who does something like that?"
"I can fix it!" Plagg insisted, clearly bargaining with her at this point. "Just give me the miraculous and I—"
"No." Her voice was firm. "I can't do that, Plagg, I'm sorry. I can't. Chat Noir quit and I can't trust him not to do it again, just like I can’t trust you not to bring it back to him. I'm the guardian and there were too many things about him that I didn't know." Feeling something bubbling up inside her, her eyes shimmered. "Honestly, I'm almost jealous! I'd love to be able to quit whenever I want to without worrying about my memories being taken away, but I'm still here because I'm taking responsibility for what I did and because I care about what happens to Paris! I already have enough responsibilities, I can't be responsible for Chat's feelings too!"
Silence followed, Plagg opening his mouth almost instinctively to retort but nothing coming out. There was a part of her that felt genuinely bad, certain that Plagg was attached to Adrien if he was resorting to such cheap arguments, but she couldn't change her stance. Emotions and attachments, for the most part, had brought her nothing but trouble ever since she became Ladybug, and this was her chance to finally take charge of things.
She waited for a full minute to see if Plagg would say anything else, given that he kept hovering there as if he were staging a silent protest, but then he turned away from her and flew off to hide inside one of her drawers.
Almost instantly, her legs felt like jelly, a gentle hand on her arm being the only thing keeping her stable. She looked back at Luka, who gave her a look of sympathy mixed with pride, and she wordlessly lowered herself towards him. He moved in sync with her, arms outstretched and surrounding her as she climbed onto his lap and buried herself against him.
"You were amazing," he whispered. "I hope your new cat is someone who puts in just as much effort as you do."
"Thanks." She breathed in his scent, feeling her nerves calm. "I have to rethink a lot of things first. The new cat might not really be needed all the time, but I definitely need someone permanent. Having the other miraculous Shadow Moth needs for his wish is..."
"Yeah." He understood without further clarification.
"I've been trying to follow the old guardian's rules and my rules at the same time, so I haven't been very consistent about it. Just—you guys are my friends, and it's not your fault that this all happened."
"No one's going to be mad if—" He paused, then added lightly, "Wait, no, Chat Noir."
She snorted, finding it mean to laugh but unable to help it. She could sense Luka smiling in triumph even though she couldn't see his face.
"Anyway..." His hands slid up to rub her shoulders. "No one should be mad if you want to switch up their miraculouses to keep them safer, or maybe not give them one at all. I can speak for myself at least."
The comment reminded her of something, her head raising to look at him. "Luka, you know you don't have to feel guilty about what happened, right? Or throw all the blame at yourself just because Chat quit?" Her gaze softened. "If anyone had to know without me knowing, I'm glad it's you, and I don’t want you to live in guilt forever."
He seemed surprised that she'd brought up the topic again, but smiled at her. "Thank you, really, but still. I don't want you having to deal with the backlash over what happened."
"No, I want to tell Paris the truth," she insisted, "and anyway, sure, maybe you messed up, but nothing happened. We were both there when Chat quit." She sighed, but in relief as she laid her head against his shoulder once more. "I'm just glad there wasn't a huge fallout from it. I'm used to everything going wrong with me..." She trailed off, a thought coming to mind. "...with us."
Luka let out a low hum, his arms going fully around her to hug her again. It was almost strange just how comfortable she felt, as if she was in one of her mother's meditation sessions. Her mind wasn't clear, her legs weren't in the right position, yet she felt at peace anyway, even with the burden having been put on her.
Even with what they'd been through.
"...Maybe that's not the problem after all," she murmured idly to herself.
"Hm? What isn't?" Luka wondered aloud.
"Oh, I was just thinking," she replied, "about how I'd have to find a new cat who wasn't in love with me, because being a hero and being in love didn't really seem to mix. I kept rejecting Chat, over and over, and I guess it only made him more upset." She stroked the fabric of Luka's jacket with her thumb, enjoying the feel of the denim. "But me and you didn't have that. We don't have problems like that, and we're still friends, right?"
"Of course."
She giggled at the speed of his confident answer, but hesitated to say what she really wanted to, half-afraid that it might be too soon to ask. Memories of her goals for the future flashing through her mind, she tightened her hug on him and asked for clarification, "Best friends?"
His grip on her went slack at first, worrying her, but then it tightened just as quickly, pulling her further against him.
"I hope so," he whispered.
She smiled, humming contentedly at the embrace. In a way, Chat quitting was a blessing in disguise. Perhaps the knowledge of him being Adrien and what he'd done could put some control back into her civilian life. Maybe she could find a partner that really worked for her and who believed that romance should come secondary in heroism.
And, staring up at Luka, she was looking forward to seeing where things would go from there.

My Take of ML Bible
I just read the full thing so.... yeah. You should scroll past to avoid spoilers.
First of all, WHAT THE ACTUAL F IS THIS HOT MESS
HOW COULD AN ENTIRE SHOW BIBLE GET LEAKED ONLINE???
The document literally has all character dynamics, everything up until season 6.
So I got spoiled the entire season 5 when we just started it đŸ€ŠđŸ€ŠđŸ€Š
The document is from last year so there SHOULD be some changes but...
Astruc has already said each season gets written 1-2 years before the episodes air on TV. So it's probably too late to change season 5 đŸ€Š
When we got episode titles, I thought season 5 would be just like Cardcaptor Sakura. Ladybug and Chat Noir would regain a miraculous every episode.
But after reading that Monarch has melted each miraculous into rings and he can "transfer" the powers to his akuma victims, I'm not so sure.
I mean how will they even undo this damage?
And the enemy after Monarch is Lila đŸ„±
Who SOMEHOW has at least 3 different families and identities, with ZERO clues before season 5.
WHAT THE ACTUAL F PART 2
Why would she even need so many families at the same time?
I would understand if she was an orphan and she got adopted by different families since her childhood...
....but even in that case, it makes NO SENSE that she calls all of them mom and is enrolled at 2 schools at the same time.
I hope we get a good backstory when that episode comes out, but I'm not too hopeful after seeing the entire season.
They are reversing the love square, only for Tikki and Plagg to get suddenly fed up with it and force a reveal mid-season.
Which again, is OOC and doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever. What happened to the rule of we can't reveal, or even SAY the names of our holders?
Another thing seems to be Zoe's out of nowhere crush on Mari and she gets rewarded with BC Miraculous for the two parter?????
She only had like what? 4 episodes about her at most and she still had time to fall for Mari?
Don't get me wrong here, I love relationships when they are done right. But this one right here is just another upcoming mess.
Zoe's just a good version of Chloe with nothing else defining her. So I don't think her crush on Mari will be handled well đŸ€Š
Poor Mari can't get a break either. Even when she enters a relationship, her past haunts her. LEAVE HER ALONE SHE DESERVES BETTER.
SHE. DESERVES. BETTER.
But Astruc seems to believe that teenage girls are naive, evil and miserable. That's what I understand from seeing how he treats his girl characters.
On the other hand, Adrien, who SHOULD KNOW THE TRUTH, knows absolutely nothing.
One of the reasons I kept watching ML was seeing how Adrien would react to learning his dad is the POS villain and how he would move forward. So I feel robbed, frustrated and angry.
Luka goes to Brazil subplot is another WTF reaction I had. He can stay in Paris without revealing the heroes.
Trust me. They won't even need him to reveal anything since the kwamis will do it by themselves đŸ€ŠđŸ€ŠđŸ€ŠđŸ€ŠđŸ€Š
...and how does he even know Suhan? Did I miss an episode?
Last but not least, save Nooroo 2K22. Poor Kwami keeps literally falling into wrong hands 😭😭😭

Everything You Deserve [Major Adrien Salt Ahead]
Tumblr media
[ I don’t believe in writing salt for the sake of salt but I figured this was a challenge so I went with a version of Adrien thats become so desperate, insecure, and paranoid that he makes the decision to use the wish and grant himself a good life only it doesn't work so well for him. ]
It all starts when Ladybug approaches Chat Noir one night after a patrol, shes excited and eager to share what shes learned as Guardian, the big news? She learned rather horrifically that the Miraculous jewellery are prisons keeping the Kwami contained and enslaved and after learning such an awful truth, she scoured the texts for anyway to break the imprisonment and finally after months SHE FOUND IT! A way to free the Kwami! And better yet when they are free they can pick there own holders merge with them and be even stronger! No more time limits no more weird nonsensical powers and rules but also no more commands or abuse only free will and true equal partnership!
Ladybug of course wants to free the Kwami ASAP and that includes Plagg and Tikki in fact, Plagg is vital for the whole thing as his power of destruction is needed to free the others with his own Miraculous being the last to be destroyed. Chat Noir on the other hand... Isn't so eager.
In his mind Adrien is panicking his whole life unraveling in front of him. With the Kwami freed they could all go out and pick there own heroes meaning no more just Ladybug and Chat Noir, no more partnership between just the two of THEM he’d be replaced by who knows who. With the Kwami freed Plagg could easily say 'no thanks' and refuse not only Adrien as his holder but refuse to transform anyone at all! With the Kwami freed he’d lose his one and only source of freedom and joy hed probably lose the only love of his life Ladybug no more jumping from rooftops no more escaping his father and his empty shell of a house and family. It wasn’t fair! It just wasn’t he had no guarantee Plagg would pick him or stay with him it would all be over! He DESERVED his miraculous and sure it sucked that the Miraculi were prisons but it wasn't like HE abused Plagg he wasn't Hawkmoth after all he was a nice guy?! So wasn't it okay to just leave things as they were?!
Ladybug took a step forward obvlious to his inner turmoil a soft smile on her face as asked him to hand over Plagg ‘just for a little while’ on instinct as if fearing she’d rip it off Chat Noir leapt away only barely hiding his expression of anger and fear. He needed time to think and fast as Ladybug looked at him with shock, then distrust and anger, he just needed to cover his tracks and luckily thanks to his father he had years of practice and he knows just what buttons to push on his precious Bugaboo. He quickly lifts his and in surrender plasters a pitiable look on his face and says that they need to THINK about this.
"Obviously freeing the Kwami is the right move my lady, but if were not careful Hawkmoth could do some serious damage dont you think?" The look of confusion and uncertainty on her face is all the opportunity he needs.
"Just think, this is a very complicated sounding spell your telling me about surely its going to take awhile right?" she bites her lip he can see the seed of doubt hes planted blooming into a sprout.
"Why if you take too long imagine the destruction the DEATH Hawkmoth could do to the city? And we NEVER know when hes planning his next attack. Can you stop that spell in the middle to save Paris?" He sees her frown her pretty little face scrunching up and he cant help the grin that appears shes SO easy to guilt because she always CARES so much for all the little people of Paris. Her sense of duty and responsibility always weighing her down. Its what he loves about her but gosh does he wish she’d just relax and let it go for once just for HIM.
He pauses a clawed finger carefully placed on his chin as he scrunches his face as in deep careful thought to her it may look like he trying to come up with a solution to there current dilemma but really his mind is scrambling for a plan. Adrenaline is rushing through his veins and hes scared and anxious. He just knew Plagg would abandon him the second he was free he KNEW it would be over his freedom ripped away his relationship with Ladybug shot before he could convince her to just admit her love he worked so hard he tried so much didnt he deserve a life better than this- Wait... Yes... Yes he did deserve better than this, better than his father, better than losing his freedom and fun, better then this dead end loveless relationship with a stubborn girl and he knew there was one way to get it. With perfectly practiced ease he lets out a light gasp leaving as if hes just thought of a BRILLIANT idea.
"What IF you gave the Ladybug Miraculous to ME? I can patrol as Mr.Bug and make sure the Akumas are taken care of and no damage is done while YOU have Plagg and do your fancy little spell to free the Kwami?" He smiles a bit too brightly and when Ladybug frowns and tries to protest and doubt he has his parry ready easily rooting and poking at her insecurities and doubts and fears does she really want to just leave Paris UNGUARDED while she does her spell? Is she really so careless and selfish???
Its just for a day or two surely she TRUSTS her PARTNER enough to trade Miraculi for that LITTLE bit of time surely she believes HE can handle stuff while she does the oh so important spell RIGHT? He sees the guilt and doubt fill her eyes and watches as she caves under his words, he knows its cruel and he hates to see her frown and feel so down but really hes doing this for HER just as much as himself she has no idea what kind of mistakes shes been making between thinking of FREEING a bunch of chaotic destructive gods who were likely imprisoned for a good reason anyway. I mean what does she think the Temple and the Order are bad guys or something? psh silly Bugaboo always coming up with crazy theories like the time she thought his dad was Hawkmoth.
No this will be better for everyone he just knows it! Even if his desires SOUND selfish but hes sure that his pure intentions will guide the magic to give everyone, a better life a life where everything is perfect. Shooting Ladybug a signature cat grin as she agrees to his plan he jumps behind the nearby chimney uttering his de-transformation phrase and promising to send over Plagg with the ring once she sends over Tikki with the earrings. Ladybug hesitates but with her body hidden behind the chimney she agrees, his heart rate elevates as he hears her say her de-transforming words and though the mild temptation to peek is there he knows he just needs to be patient as the spotted Kwami rounds the corner holding her earrings Adrien smiles, while they dont know it this is the last Marinette see or hear of her red spotted Kwami friend again for a long time.
The moment Tikki is within Adriens grasp he doesn't even hesitate, he snatches Tikki and unifies the miraculous ignoring the shocked cries of the Kwami and of Ladybug and hes enveloped in white light. It only took a second for everything to change. Adrien had secretly ALWAYS thought about the wish since he learned about it from Fu. At first he thought he’d wish his mother back, then he thought about wishing for Ladybug to love him, for his life to be better, for his dad to finally give him attention, to never have to do photo-shoots again, to continue getting to transform with the Miraculous for as long as he wanted so he could keep having fun. But even when he was tempted there was no real REASON to take his ladies Miraculous not when things were good enough, not when she was still there, and he could transform whenever to escape. But now with the RISK the slightest CHANCE that Plagg might say 'no' he decides its time to change things up to reward himself for  all the things hes put up with. So Adrien doesn't just wish for one thing no, he has a list of demands for his new perfect reality and when the white void around him pulses and fades black he feels excitement run through his bones at what awaits him in his new perfect world. The world that he truly DESERVES.
.............................................................................................................................
I want to be able to transform whenever I want so I can have Fun.
I Want Ladybug to be my loving devoted doting girlfriend.
I Want my mother back and for her and father to be my perfect parents.
I want to stop doing photo-shoots and instead get to do whatever I want.
I want to get everything I worked so hard to deserve.
When he awakes everything seems normal. Hes in his room and it looks more or less the same but perhaps its a little more... empty? Of course he also notices the odd disappearance of all his Ladybug memorabilia 'oh well' he thinks, he can always just BUY back everything hes missing, hes rich after all so he can have whatever he wants. The second thing he notices is the lack of weight on his ring finger. Plagg's ring is MISSING, now that is far more cause for concern then some Ladybug merch.
With a bit of fear and annoyance he scours his room only stopping once he finds a jewellery box on his desk, opening it he fully expects Plagg to pop out hissing and scratching but instead he sees a Peacock Broach and the Kwami that emerges is subdued and quiet. Adrien feels a twinge of rage as already this new perfect universe has gotten things WRONG one of his demands was to be able to transform whenever he wanted so he could keep having fun... But he does suppose he failed to specify in his demand that he wanted to keep the ring. Oh well its not destruction but he supposes riding around on his very own sentimonster servant could be fun too, besides if the wish got all his other demands right then Ladybug will be his madly in love girlfriend and she will surely just GIVE him Plagg's ring if he asks for it!
As he gets dressed and attaches the peacock pin to his shirt he hears a knock, its Nathalie informing him that his PARENTS are downstairs waiting to have breakfast with him! Joy and excitement replace any lingering annoyance and the quiet somber Kwami doesn't even mind hiding in his pocket. Rushing down the stairs Adrien has to hold back tears as he leaps into his mothers arms. His father is there as well smiling kindly as he ushers Adrien into the dining room for a big family breakfast. No photoshoot schedule is presented to him, instead hes told he has plans to have fun all day with his friends and that his weekly allowance deposited in his bank so he can buy himself and his friends lunch. Finally he thinks THIS is what he deserved.
After breakfast Adrien goes out with his class all of them still there, he gets to goof off and say whatever he wants with no consequences or annoying parental 'rules' holding him back. Hes gleeful when he notices that he doesn't need to look out for paparazzi or fan girls. He doesn't notice the fact that Marinette and Alya aren't a part of the class or how his friends sigh impatiently as he AGAIN tells them what THEY are going to do ignoring there own input and desires. His day goes by smoothly and easily and PERFECTLY and finally as the sun dips below the horizon he decides its time to transform and see his precious Bugaboo hes waited SO long for her to love him, to show him willingly who she is and what better way to finish the day then finally get the sweetest reward of them all.
Riding his sentimonster through the city he ignores any accidental damage its just because hes not use to controlling the Sentimonsters yet besides its not HIS job to fix it, its Ladybugs and hes so SURE she wont mind repairing his little damages. After awhile of wandering he sees a flash of red on the rooftops excitement fills him as he calls out for his bugaboo he sees the red figure pause and begin to move his way 'finally' he thinks 'finally she is going to give me what the love I deserve! That I worked for! Finally I wont be alone EVER again!!!'. The red figure swings up dramatically and then drops down with an impressive twirl. But as she moves to stand Adrien feels his blood run cold as instead of the distinctive dark twin tails the hair on this Ladybug is bright blonde. She looks at him and her eyes are icey blue nothing like HIS Ladies eyes at all.
"Oh my SWEET Adrikens! I missed you soooo much while you were with those IDIOT classmates of ours ALL day!" Adrien feels his stomach churn violently at these words a wave of hot suddenly burning his skin as shock setting in everything about this new world suddenly feels WRONG from the colour of the sky to the texture of his new Peacock suits leathery gloves. THIS Ladybug is so obviously Chloe that much is painfully easy to see but worst of all she KNOWS his identity behind his new peacock mask.
"Sooo what are we destroying tonight my little birdy? I was thinking maybe we rob some more museums like last time! The look on those stupid heroes faces when you dropped those diamonds in the Seine was HILARIOUS! Seriously these dates are the most fun Ive EVER had!"  With quick painful realization Adrien catches on to Ladybu- no Chloe's words.
She knows his identity, they have been robbing and destroying things in the city of Paris together, these are 'dates' which means he finally did it... He really is dating Ladybug only its not HIS Bugaboo its Chloe! Wearing HER spots, using HER name. And worse of all if Chloe is telling the truth... Then there are heroes that have come to stop them... And if there are heroes trying to stop THEM then that means that he, Adrien, formerly Chat Noir... Is the villain?
No... No that cant be right. HE is suppose to be hero? Hes supposed to be loved and praised! Hes supposed to get the girl! He cant be the villain he cant be dating ugh CHLOE of all people. Disgust fills him and he wants to scream and rage he wants to blame Chloe its probably all her fault it was ALWAYS her fault before but she never roped HIM into her stupid schemes she never ruined HIS reputation or hurt HIM it always just... She always just... Went after everyone else...
The sound of feet landing on the roof behind him draws his eye yet he feels stiff and shell shocked. He turns registering the familiar pair of green cat eyes. Those eyes are locked on to him filled with fury and disgust, the long dark braid, outfit and the oh so familiar staff he knew that look from the brief time they swapped Miraculi. Standing before him as the new Cat was the original Ladybug and if the sneer on her face, the new aura of confidence, power and security was anything to go by he was in serious trouble.
.............................................................................................................................
The next day Adrien hardly remembers how he and Chloe escaped from Ladybu- no from Chat du Lune. But he does remember that as they were fleeing Chloe was laughing like it was just a fun game of tag. As he turns on his tv in bed he frowns as his Peacock transformation is broadcast on the news being called a 'villain' and a 'monster' all while the destruction he so casually caused while riding his fun new sentimonster around the city looking for his bugaboo is broadcast shown followed by footage of past incidents he and Chloe had apparently caused together yet that he cannot remember. He watches himself steal, destroy and laugh taunting about the fun hes having as he knocks over someones home with his massive sentimonster, they show Chloe as well but somehow shes not nearly in as many videos as himself and she never does nearly as much damage as him he supposed it was hard knocking down a building when you had a Yoyo, instead Chloe or ‘ladybug’ was blamed for robberies from museums to banks, jewellery stores and high end fashion boutiques what she does with the loot is a mystery according to the the tv host, Adriens sure that Chloe propbably has all the loot stashed in her room at the Grande Paris. As he watches more footage of himself riding through the city destroying things in his path a part of him agrees that it looks fun that he kinda wants to do that, but another part is angry he isn't SUPPOSE to be the villain he isn't suppose to be dating Chloe! His perfect world is so ruined MESS.
But maybe... Maybe he can fix it? All he needs is the cat miraculous... Sure Chat du Lune would NEVER give it up willingly but maybe... Maybe there was 1 way. After all he had Chloe with her Ladybug all he needed to do cause enough mayhem enough destruction, In videos shown on tv and online he saw Chloe as Ladybug use her Miraculous Cure to undo the major damage caused after they were done having there ‘fun’ but... If he convinced her to stop they could hold the city hostage and force Chat du Lune to hand over the ring then he would get his ‘loving and devoted girlfriend’ Chloebug to hand over the earrings and he’d get another chance at the wish he could fix everything keep the good parts and fix the bad! It had to be possible it just HAD to he deserved to be hero he deserved to keep his parents this reality wasnt right so didnt he deserve the chance to fix it? Sure if he did this hed be a true villain but it was just for a little while! He knew HIS bugaboo after all no way she’d leave the people of Paris to suffer she always cared so much for all those little people.
As Adrien got out of bed and headed down to breakfast with his family his mind made up he’d do it hed make the world into what it should have been from the start.
‘Isnt it what I deserve after all my suffering?’
.............................................................................................................................
I want to be able to transform whenever I want so I can have Fun.
He’d just start with demolishing a few houses that looked ready to topple over anyway, Chloe seemed hesitant not to use her Miraculous Cure when they were done having the ‘date’ but all it took was for him to say he ‘loved’ her and shed do anything she said. Besides he was sure this was all it would take to make Chat du Lune crack she was so caring after all.
But she didn't break at that so they had to start destroying a bit more, soon he found himself scheming and in heated battles with not only Chat du Lune but other heroes she had at her side. It made him furious to see HIS partner HIS lady fighting with other people it was suppose to be HIM at her side. And so if he destroyed a few more things then originally planned it was an accident he was just angry at seeing himself get replaced that was all he was ALLOWED to be emotional.
Soon he had to admit it was sort of fun breaking stuff every-time he felt angry at his perfect world at the wish hed made at himself for making it hed just command his sentimonster to crush and break and destroy. This world had more flaws then he originally saw he started to see his perfectly families flaws, he noticed how his friends didn't always treat him how he expected, he noticed how Marinette and Alya were missing apparently off at some fancy new school on scholarships instead of spending time with him and comforting him! Nothing was right everything was a mess so who cared if he destroyed things it felt good and besides the moment he got his wish hed fix it who CARED who it hurt now!
I Want Ladybug to be my loving devoted doting girlfriend.
Knowing that Chat du Lune is the old Ladybug is torture, worse still with Chloe parading as Ladybug, he needs Chloe for his plan so he cant break up with her but he loathes the way she dotes on him cares for him always worrying about him and touching him trying to kiss him in the middle of battle when hes busy! Worse still she sabotages any chance he has of flirting with his REAL lady Chat du Lune, he misses touching HIS lady and the cute way she'd get SO mad and beg him to stop flirting and get serious the one chance he got to touch her he brushed his hands against her pretty face while they were fighting. Sure she broke his fingers and he had to order Chloe to heal it with her cure but it was worth it to be close to his sweet Bugaboo.
But worse still Chloe isn't just his girlfriend in the mask. At school and at home shes there clinging to him like some leech sure she does whatever Adrien asks for fear that he will abandon her just like her mother did but that doesn't change the fact that she isn't his sweet darling little Bugaboo.Even though she says she cares Adrien doesn't believe her shes just like his fangirls only interested in him for his looks and money. He starts finding himself slapping away her hands when she reaches for him with furrowed brows telling him shes so ‘worried’ about him. If she was so WORRIED she’d just shut up already and do what he asked without question. He’s been stuck in this awful reality months now and nothing is right about it NOTHING!
Besides he just KNOWS hes in this situation because of HER she probably ropped him into being a villain so the least she can do is fix it for him! But instead she’s trying to turn around and act like she ‘cares’ about people now? Acting like she doesnt agree with him destroying the city! Say’s the girl who nearly crashed a train her first time out as a ‘hero’ in the old reality’ Say’s the girl who still bullies her classmates!
As further desperation to ‘fix’ his crumbling perfect reality sets in Adrien doesn't see how his destruction anger and temper pushes even Chloe  of all people away his complete ignorance and lack of care for her feelings is all too familiar to her mother and Chloe or ‘ladybug’ starts to miss out on Adrien’s sentimonster rage induced city wide tantrums.
I Want my mother back and for her and father to be my perfect parents.
His mother is cheating... And with NATHALIE of all people. As if the reality he was stuck in wasnt terrible enough his parents and there marriage was LIE. He overheard them one night his mother and father arguing, father knew that mother was cheating and he didnt care they were only together to keep a strong public image and to raise Adrien the SECOND he was done with school his mother planned to divorce Gabriel and be with Nathalie openly.
It was all wrong. His mother was suppose to LOVE his father they were suppose to be a perfect family he DEMANDED it when he was making the wish so WHY why didnt they LOVE EACH OTHER! Sure they were perfect Parents they gave him whatever he asked for they loved him and encouraged him and never yelled they were patient made him homemade lunches showed up for parent teacher meetings but what did it matter if they didnt really love each other!
Adrien didnt want to see how his father was overly focused on work how he treated his mother as more of an object to ogle and decorate then as a living person with needs and feelings to consider he didnt want to see how his mother was desperately lonely how she felt trapped and frustrated living with someone who ignored everything she said and saw her as second place to his bussiness.
It was Nathalie’s fault obviously he’d get rid of her next time he’d fix his parents relationship hed make sure they loved each other he needed them to love each other he needed his family to be perfect he didnt want them to be divocrced and he didnt care why they would nothing was wrong between them nothing at all!
I want to stop doing photo-shoots and instead get to do whatever I want.
It had been so nice, no one chased him no one stalked him no fangirls. No having to work or doing photoshoots. But then he realized... No one RECOGNIZED him. The first time he saw Marinette had been a shock, she was there at the park when the class was sketching a new design while Alya typed away on a small laptop. Adrien watched them shocked to see the two girls that had been mysteriously missing from the class, when Marinette’s phone went off she glanced at it before showing Alya the reporter closed her laptop and the two got up to leave Adrien placed himself in there paths waiting for well... Something but Marinette didn’t spare him a glance only walking around him with annoyance. When Adrien spoke to Nino about it later the boy looked at him with confusion.
“Why would she recognize you dude? Its not like your famous or anything.”
And that hurt somehow. He didnt know why the idea of Marinette’s room being empty of all his photos bothered him but it did. He missed Marinette he wanted her to rejoin there class to help makes things ‘correct’ but Marinette didn’t stop to speak or even look at him, and when he looked her up later he learned she was perfectly happy maybe even happier then she was, she was working hard toward her dreams of being a Fashion Designer, she had many new friends including some old friendly faces like Kagami, Alya, Luka and others. He also saw that she was apparently dating though he didnt dig to find out who he didnt want to know just the idea of her dating someone angered him almost as much as his bugaboo replacing him with all those new teammates.
After that he started to notice certain things. Without his face on billboards no one felt the need to let him jump ahead in lines, no one spoke about him or complimented him, sure he could go out when he wanted and had no responsibilities but he started to feel lost. His classmates were growing learning and trying to figure out who they were they were trying out different career options, they were winning awards, trying and failing at different options but Adrien...
What did he want? He just wanted everything to be perfect, he just wanted the life he deserved. But aside from this single mind consuming goal he had nothing no one recognized him he WASNT famous anymore, he didnt care about his dads bussiness or his mothers acting he didnt have any other dreams or goals all he had was his dream his goal of a perfect world and it consumed him.
And as he got more desperate more possessed with his one and only goal as he allowed himself to lose and break all his own morals as he did whatever he wanted whenever he wanted his friends started to notice. Before being consumed by his goal of a perfect world Adrien had been perhaps a bit pushy he would guilt you into doing what he wanted sometime but now, now he was unhinged. Even Chloe his loving girlfriend and the class bully had pulled away and gotten quiet fearfull of making a wrong move and having Adrien abandon her like her mother, Nino and the boys found themselves pulling away for other reasons. Nothing they said was ever met with a positive response Adrien didnt care for there accomplishments and sometimes hed get upset when they didn’t do what Adrien ‘expected’.
For instance when Marc and Nathaniel’s sci-fi comic won an award and Adrien got angry that they hadn’t made a comic about the heroes and villains of Paris instead. Or when Nino got an internship working in the music video bussiness and Adrien interrogated him on why he wasn’t working on his music. Adrien seemed to see his classmates at playing the wrong roles in some twisted play that was his life. He was obsessed with how things were ‘suppose’ to be and no one wanted to be around him anymore.
I want to get everything I worked so hard to deserve.
But it all got so much worse after one specific battle with Chat du Lune and her team. He had finally FINALLY gotten the uper hand and finally he would rip the Ring off her finger but when he reached for it... It wasn’t there.
There was no ring, no earings, no bracelet or charm or anything. Chat du Lune didn’t have jewlewry, in fact.. Not ONE of Chat du Lune’s teamates had a piece of jewlewry on them. It didn’t make sense where were the Miraculi? They HAD to have Miraculi... Unless.
His lady had wanted to free the Kwami and with Plagg at her side she would have been able to. But that meant that Plagg had been CHOOSING to stay by her side he had chosen her instead of coming back to Adrien, didnt Plagg know he regretted the wish didnt Plagg WANT him to fix everything? Why did his Kwami his friend betray him... But then he KNEW Plagg would betray him didnt he that was why he made the wish in the first place wasn’t it?
But if Plagg’s miraculi had been destroyed then there was nothing left. He couldn’t steal the ring couldn’t unify it with the earings and could not fix everything he was stuck in this dead end world, he had become a true villain in the desperate process to try and fix everything.
And now it was over?
... Or was it?
Surely he could find some way to force Plagg back? Surely he could fix it? He needed to fix it.
He deserve it. He had worked so hard, so didn’t he deserve it?
