Friendly Reminder that the Vessel Eggs are Freaking Huge.
Also Obligatory Birthplace Egg is the only Egg Asset with Void Vines attached to it remark.
It was always strange to me how large Vessel eggs really are, especially because there really seems to be little need for it. Vessel hatchlings/nymphs are Tiny. Why are the eggs so big in comparison?
Tumblr media
There seems to be waaaay too much unnecessary/excess space in each egg if there's only one Vessel per egg. Usually with eggs, by the end of the gestation period, the spawn is cramped in there with very little excess room. Extra unused space is wasteful, and biology hates being wasteful.
This is why I've personally always subscribed to the headcanon of Vessels eggs actually being more like Egg Sacs/Egg Cases than typical eggs. Both are when, for irl bugs, multiple larva/nymphs hatch from the same "egg"-like gestational container. Egg sacs are common for spiders (they make the actual sac itself with silk; here's a great video showing how one is made.) while cockroaches are know for egg cases (Here's a video of some hatching.)
Ghost's egg clearly isn't that much bigger than the other egg assets, it's just less destroyed, so it's size is a good reference for how big all of them would have been. And it's big enough for at least a handful of Vessel nymphs to have fit inside at once.
Tumblr media
^ Case in point.
(You could probably squeeze a few more in there if you treat it more like a the sphere it's supposed to be and also depending on the horns. The main limiter are the heads/shells, since those are the hard parts* of a Vessel; Vessel nymph bodies seem to be quite squishy and flexible.)
(*= This is assuming that Vessel shells were hard during their gestation period. There is a chance they might not have been, since newly hatched nymph insects tend to have flimsy bodies for a while. The Birthplace memory shows that Vessels had hard shells at that point, and that seems really close to the point of hatching, so it seems likely that they hatched with hard shells rather than needing to wait a bit for them to harden up. Also, Vessel biology is weirdly wonky, so irl stuff doesn't really matter.)
Also, curiously, it seems Vessel eggs have two layers:
Tumblr media
There's the outer shell, but there's very clearly a second, inner thing that has been broken out of. The different in the breaking look from the outer shell suggests this inner layer is made of a different material. The Pale King's egg lacks this, to it's at the very least unlikely to be a Wyrm thing, or at least not a Wyrm thing on it's own. It might be something unique to the union of Wyrm and Root and thus unique to the Vessels.
It could be a Root Thing, but we know jack shit about the White Lady and exactly how much she contributed to the Vessels.
I mean, we know literally nothing about how the Vessels were made besides Pale Babies Get Thrown Into The Liquid Shadow Pit To Get Stuffed With Black Goop, but that's besides the point.
There's also two alternative theories for why the eggs are so big that I'd like to touch upon: Void Swelling, and Stunted Development.
Let's go with Void Swelling first.
In snake eggs, the eggs tend to get a bit bigger by the time they hatch. Normally, it's not too much. Sometimes, however, the eggs really seem to swell up. Most people I've heard/seen talking about this think that the eggs are absorbing and retaining water from the humid incubation environment. Sometimes it's indicative of a problem; sometimes those swollen eggs start to rot, making it clear that that gestation has failed. Other times, the snake just hatches with a lot of egg goop.
It's possible that the Vessel eggs are so large because they've just been swollen up from the Void infusing into them.
Two problems with this theory: Vessels eggs are clearly hard-shelled, and hard-shelled eggs don't swell. At least, I've never heard of them doing that, but I'll admit I'm not a bird person. Perhaps some eggs got stuffed with way too much void and popped open before it was ready to hatch.
The second issue is that the Abyss is not what I would call a humid place (or, at least, it doesn't LOOK humid), and we don't see any liquid Void anywhere near where the eggs are in the Abyss. All the liquid Void we see is to the left of Vessel Corpses, and we see no egg assets anywhere on the way to and around the Lighthouse.. This makes it rather ambiguous how the Void even infused into the eggs at all, let alone if liquid Void was involved. Given how deep the Birthplace goes, it's impossible to tell what was at the bottom of that shaft before all of the corpses stuffed it up.
Unless ambient smoky environmental Void could have stuffed into the eggs enough to engorge them, which is also a possibility. Void is weird and we know little about how it works/behaves. Still unlikely due to the hard shells, but it's a theory.
The second theory is less about too much Void in the eggs and more about not enough Vessel.
It's possible that, at the time of Void infusion (and thus, death for the gestating Pale Children nymphs) the influence/corruption of the Void caused the Vessels to just stop developing. Dead things don't grow or develop after all.
Perhaps the eggs are so large because the original offspring that was supposed to hatch from those eggs were really supposed to be that large. They were supposed to be the spawn of a Wyrm and a Root combined. Even if the White Lady hadn't of been so big at the time of the Vessel Plan, she's shown she was always capable of eventually growing large. And if the offspring took aspects from PK's original Wyrm form over his dinky bugsona, which I would assume to be possible bc DNA and Genetics, then a larger size would also potentially be expected.
Or maybe some Pale Children would have gotten the Wyrm gene while others got the Bugsona gene, which is what Hornet got, and is absolutely hilarious to think about. Imagine getting riffed on by a twelve foot high sibling bc you got dad's Short Gene.
There's one issue with this theory, and that is of course, Broken Fucking Vessel. Broken Vessel always throws wrenches into Vessel theories, it's like their favorite past time.
Broken Vessel has aged. And, Hollow, more obviously, but BV is the main confusing one. Broken Vessel proves that Vessel can age on their own, without the potential influence/assistance of the King. BV proves that Vessel development isn't permanently stunted.
The most logical solution to this issue I've seen is exposure to the Void. Vessels, on a fundamental level, are made up of Void. It is intrinsically entwined with their very physiology. They're not just walking corpses stuffed full of Void and a Shade, their very flesh IS Void and that Shade.
Case in point:
Tumblr media
BV, out of any other Vessel outside of Hollow, is the one who could have potentially come into contact with Void after leaving the Abyss. They're found in the Ancient Basin, which at the time of the game is heavily Void tainted (likely due to the Lighthouse being off and PK fucking off to Buzzsaw Land. That light had likely been the only thing keeping the Void suppressed underneath the Basin.)
PK could have used Void to supplement Hollow's growth into adulthood because Vessels probably literally cannot grow or age without it. Hence why Ghost and all the other escapee Vessels are stuck as nymphs while BV grew a tiny bit.
Of course, the solution to the BV issue also ruins the stunted embryonic development theory too. It's a rather poor and weak theory that I've included only because I though it was a bit interesting. Thinking about what the original Pale Spawn would have been like is always interesting to me.
With that, I have just one more thing to point out.

While I was drawing/looking at reference images, I realized that the king doesn’t look like he was killed by anything void related at all. His eyes don’t drip with void like every other character killed by overexposure to void in game, so what happened? What if he sealed himself away not to save himself, but to preserve the kingsoul? I mean, if I wanted to preserve an important object within me, I would think the dream realm would be a very suitable place to go. Evidently, the king hasn’t survived this, but it doesn’t look like there was a struggle. There was no evidence of the formation of a void creature in the room to have killed him the old fashion way, and no injury on the body itself. Nothing but a force of nature like the knight was ever going to get in or out of that room past all of those saw blades, and based on that, I don’t think the king planned on leaving that room. It looks to me that the king simply let himself wither away on his throne, and that he did it on purpose. The king was by no means a fool. He did not assume that locking himself in a room forever would be safe, and even if he did, he would’ve done more to solve his problems. The king had no workshop for him to toil in, no library to research from, and there was no effort made to stop the infection after he resigned himself to that room. The king was not there to save his kingdom in safety, and he was most certainly not there because he wanted to outlast the infection. The king wanted to die somewhere that was near impossible to reach. Somewhere in a near impregnable dream behind a nigh unwalkable path. But I don’t think that’s because he didn’t want to be found. After all, the king has tried tasking his children with a near impossible task in the hopes one will rise to meet the challenge before, and it worked. If we trust The White Lady’s perspective, The Hollow Knight was the perfect vessel before it was ā€œtainted by an idea instilled,ā€ so the idea that the king trusted the strength of his children enough to predict, or at the very least hope that one of them would reach the king would despite these measures, is not out of the question. In fact, the increased security of a task like this would make sense as a more intense test of the purity of a vessel. If the parkour skills needed to define THK as hollow were as simple as escaping the abyss, then the saw blades could certainly be explained as either a revised test of a vessel’s purity, or its will. Maybe the king predicted the creation of the void heart? If the vessel’s will is being tested, it would support the idea that the king knew about the possibility of the void heart, as it unites the void behind the bearer’s will. If this is true, then it may explain why The White Lady gives you the white fragment with the following quote. ā€œI have a gift, held long for one of your kind. When united, great power is granted, and on the path ahead, great power it shall need.ā€ This is most definitely referring to the unification of the king soul, but what if it were also a thematic parallel to the great power granted with the unification of the void? If this is the case, I don’t believe that the white lady was informed about all of the details, but likely just that a vessel was needed to end the infection, and that she must give the white fragment to a vessel she deems worthy. To ask the last question about this theory I could think of, why is the corpse of the king in a room dark with what is likely void if void is not what killed him? It could be deduced that the king’s regrets’ darkening of the room was meant to be a more subtle nod to his disposition at the time of his death than a hint as to what killed him, as the void tears found on those killed by void serve that purpose well and wouldn’t have impeded his design, but a darker room alone would be an interesting thematic note as evidence of a nagging question in the king’s head: ā€œHave we payed a cost this great for nothing?ā€ Anyways. Call me a deranged lunatic in the notes.

Tumblr media
My fan theory on this was hornet and PK used to train a lot when younger, soon both growing the same attack moves copying one another, Hornet not having to train /that/ hard so she didn't grow up that much compared to her older sibling PK
She still trained a little which is how she grew and didn't just stay as a little buglit like ghost!
-----
Fan theory2 (edit)
Maybe they both trained with the pale king/ one of the knights of the pale king, it could still be training with one another but training with the same person makes sense!
But my fan theory of both still stands i think they trained together/ with the same person!

Dreamer headcanons
• Lurien is half dragonfly (son of an outsider dragonfly and nobleman of the city) and the grandchild of a higher being. He posseses great magic ability, especially in regards to sight. (Also fun fact: Dragonflies irl have great vision, and are known to have some of the best eyesight of any bug!) I will elaborate on this HC in a separate post Which will go over my dragonfly lore.
• Lurien helped the king create the worldsense spell, that he gifted the hollow knight. (A spell that allows one vision of an entire kingdom from one location.)
• Lurien and Monomon were very close before becoming dreamers having spent much time working together as advisors of the king. They often argued though, with Lurien never questioning his monarch and Monomon always advocating for trying new ideas, looking from all perspectives ect. (The pale king appreciated both very much.)
• They are also both poets, which they bonded over. And Lurien had definitely at one point painted a fog canyon art piece, that he gifted to her.
• Monomon is the oldest of the dreamers, technically, She is actually already over a hundred years old, before becoming a dreamer.
• She was once a regular (at least more regular) type of bug, and was later turned into a jellyfish.
• She always had an amazing mind and used her scientific skill to help the kingdom progress. She impressed the king so greatly that he granted her immortality (I will elaborate on this in a sec) And entrusted her to keep all the kingdoms records.
• Then of course with this new immortality, and new position, she became more ambitious. She created the jellyfish and fog canyon, Wanting to prove that she could be like the higher beings and create her own people/followers. (Typical god complex mad scientist behavior.)
• The king had her punished by taking away her true form. and turning her into a jellyfish creature. (Which she eventually grew used to and even happily accepted.)
• Of course as long as she stayed loyal to the king, the jellyfish did. And she remained loyal to the end.
• She was one of his foremost trusted advisors, and besides the white lady, the most involved in his plan to seal the infection.
• About the immortality thing- that was granted to her through her mask. The king had heard of the mask maker of Deepnest and his power. He made a deal with the then ruler of Deepnest (this is before Herrahs time) to have a mask created for Monomon.
• Skip forward a hundred years or so, the king is amidst his plan to seal the infection. He needs dreamers and at this point Monomon and Lurien have both volunteered. In order for the plan to work they need their masks and he goes to deepnest again to make a deal for two more masks to be made. This is how Herrah becomes aware of the dreamer plan, and her deal with him is made not long after.
I hesitate to elaborate on Herrahs backstory, only because Silksong might do just that. (I hope it does!) Anyway this all may be disproven but here we go~
• Herrah married the old sire of Deepnest who was a weaver (higher minded being) And this caused much controversy in Deepnest. She was not a weaver, not a royal, not even of noble birth.
• She did have her loyal followers of course, but many of her people, did not have much faith in her.
• The sire died unexpectedly in battle against the mantis tribe and Herrah was put in a worse position. Now Deepnest depended solely on her. (And to make matters more difficult she had not yet birthed an heir.)
• The pale king soon discovered how unprepared Herrah was to be queen, and was quick to make an alliance with her, after the sires passing.
• Herrah agreed to the alliance. (And trade routes and what not were established, the stag station, trams ect.)
• Herrahs people were not so much in agreement. The relations between Deepnest and Hallownest remained shaky to say the least.
• The bargain for Hornet was made both to the advantage of Herrah and the King. Herrah would have an heir, And with the new queen of Deepnest being his daughter, the king would gain more influence over the land.
• not wanting for her daughter to grow too attached to her before the sealing, Herrah sent Hornet to the hive to train when she was very young. (Herrah trained in the hive herself when she was in her youth. And trusted them to care of her daughter.)
• ooh also Deepnest culture is very family oriented specifically revolving around the children/the youth.
I feel like I have more, but this is all I can remember for now. Might add onto this later.

Hi hi hi! I just finished reading The Sword Tree and I'm still unwell about it so I hope it's okay if I rant in your ask box for a sec. I'm South Asian and the bit about celebrian saying there's more to their national diagnosis of sea-longing hit so close to home because the rhetoric around returning to valinor is so similar to partition where the rhetoric was (and remains to this day at least in pakistan) that all the Muslims of the subcontinent WANTED to go to Pakistan because they wanted a Muslim homeland. Which is just - patently untrue as evidenced by the fact that MILLIONS of Muslims chose to remain in India and doesn't take into account any of the hundred of reasons people actually chose to migrate, the threat of violence being not least amongst them. The way returning to valinor is framed as this glorious homecoming when really so many of the elves would have been fleeing from violence, would have been going because they had no other choice, because it was that or fade is soooo ASHDHSGS it drives me insane. But at least now I can think of celebrian taking them to her forest so yay <3 thank you for that
You’ll have to excuse me nerding out being a complete freak and writing a whole ass impromptu 1500 word meta essay at midnight in the hour since you sent this though, because this ask scratches a good 100% of my brain in a wonderful way + I have a lot of THOUGHTS + it touches on some non-fiction stuff I was preparing for Mereth Aderthad… so thank you very much ily as you can see here I am just as unwell šŸ„¹šŸ™šŸ½šŸ«¶šŸ½
I’ll put the actual content under the cut since it’s long, but it may be interesting to anyone else keen on my silly meta/theory ramblings re: postcolonial South Asia, Tolkien elves, Valinor, Indo-Pak (obv a thematic comparison rather than a direct equation since the circumstances, cost and setting is entirely different), slow violence and the diction of genteel exile… plus, Frodo comes into it at one point!
Forgive me if I repeat myself here because I’m not sure how long you’ve followed me so idk how much Balls Loreā„¢ļø I’ve dropped btw… so I’m not religious but my paternal side (who we’re culturally closer to as a family since my mum’s side don’t really practice their religion/culture) are actually Indian Muslims from Kerala, which was one of the v few Indian states that had both a high Muslim population yet saw almost no northward movement towards Pakistan, partly bc it was so far south and the people don’t speak any of the Indopak ā€œborder languagesā€ but also because there wasn’t much communal violence or structural discrimination (relative to the rest of the country, I mean…) so life was at the time not particularly hostile or difficult for Muslims in Kerala, at least on the basis of their religion (caste is a diff story though 🄲).
And so people just stayed, because, as you say, they COULD. Because why the fuck would you choose to leave the place you were born in, trek across the entire subcontinent and face unspeakable violence, if you had literally any other choice!!!
And your point about ā€œglorious homecomingā€ is also super interesting to me especially in the context of the RSS/Indian RW’s ā€œMusalmanon ko donon sthan, Pakistan aur kabarsthan’ (Muslims have two places: Pakistan or the graveyard)ā€ chant, by now a vicious majoritan sentiment which simultaneously contradicts their other unhinged viewpoint, aka ā€œPakistan technically belongs to Indiaā€. And that kind of diction is in turn echoed and mirrored from the Pakistani side, where anytime anti-Muslim violence breaks out in India, the PK broadcast media/politicos begin their ā€œwe told you so tee hee we told you you should have come here, who asked you to stay in India? šŸ¤Ŗā€ world tour like they’re talking about children who dropped their ice creams 🄲
Which is unsurprising of course, considering India and Pakistan have spent nearly 80 years constructing their national identity as the moral and civilisational antithesis of the other one… ie Pakistan as a ā€œsanctuary from Hindu majoritarianismā€, India as a ā€œsecular (lmao) republic against Islamic theocracyā€ā€¦ and like w Valinor and Middle-earth, these imaginaries are less geographic than mythic (thinking about EƤrendil’s journey here, or Tuor just… as a concept sksksk): each land continuously reifies itself by casting the other as failed or impure, and the rules of performance and belonging keep shifting…
The very structure of Valinor's inaccessibility aka requiring divine permission, reserved for the select, where rules can be broken only if the divine powers will it to me resonates w how citizenship & belonging are gatekept in the subcontinent and how those with hybrid or marginal identities (like Ƌarendiil) are often asked to prove their fidelity to the nation (ā€œchoose elves or menā€) in ways the majority never is, as if access to the country of your birth was a conditional gift rather than a birthright.
And I’m thinking again about the Peredhel choice, and Elwing and EƤrendil being forced to choose to belong to either men or elves at great cost, quite literally punished for hybridity, and for stepping foot in Valinor as the ā€œwrong kindā€, the kind who aren’t allowed to enter… and this punishment lasts for several generations of their line, right down to Arwen… so again that ā€œhomelandā€ projected not as a shared horizon of peace but as a fantasised ideal purified of the other’s existence…. an unsoiled homeland that can only keep moving forwards by erasing those whose identities speak to entanglement...
And with ā€œIndo-Pakā€, that metaphysical distance between Valinor and Middle-earth is reenacted as militarised borders and cultural opposition... each made from the blank spaces in the other’s mirror. And so in India, much like for other minorities in Pakistan, or former East Pakistan prior to the liberation of Bangladesh… those who don’t fit the moral geography of Partition ie religiously intermarried families, religious minorities, borderland communities, secular dissidents, queer folk, etc, are not only excluded from nationalist narratives but seen as aberrations, or intruders… India must inversely reflect Pakistan, and Pakistan must inversely reflect India, because if they don’t, then neither country can be said to exist.
And yes absolutely, for ME elves (ie Elrond for instance) the ā€œreturnā€ is not some triumphant homecoming, the journey West is sorrowful and final… less a political return and more an admission that Middle-earth, the ā€œcontested spaceā€ so to speak, can no longer sustain the presence of its most wounded or burdened beings. Eg Frodo’s departure, like CelebrĆan’s sailing, being a spiritual evacuation rather than a physical one, not in itself necessary for healing, but because healing is no longer possible where the wound was made… like, the tragedy of people needing to convalesce from their own country is just 🄲
and I think the ending of the Return of the King showcases this splendidly: by ending with a *departure* from ME rather than an *arrival* in Valinor. And that’s what makes it tragic to me, bc in Tolkien’s world, the sailing to Valinor marks the end of the narrative for the reader, but in South Asia, this desire for purified homelands continues to regenerate new forms of violence…
What I’m trying to say here is, I assume you haven’t read my India AU (Prayers to Broken Stone) since I remember you mentioning the sea serpent one was the first Maedhros and Elrond story of mine you read, which is why I am EXTREMELY shook (in a good way aka I am insanely impressed, whatever our souls are made of yours and mine are the same etc etc) at how you’ve hit the nail right on the head when it comes to a major undercurrent of Prayers, which I don’t think I’ve even mentioned explicitly on Tumblr either—the overarching thematic parallel between the fading of elves and the postcolonial trajectory of the Indian Muslims who chose to stay because they wanted to, where the opportunity for a ā€œglorious returnā€ to an unknown land is no opportunity at all, and is in fact nothing but a great and violent sundering. Like that is the main thematic framework there, far beyond any positionality-politics about the Noldor and the Sindar or whatever. Just including a bit from one of the chapters which I think illustrates exactly what I mean (context, this is set during the Emergency following the FĆ«anorians as a Malayali Muslim family, where Maedhros is a former freedom fighter).
———
Tumblr media
———
I wanted to convey in the fic how in post-independence India, Muslims were not formally expelled, but their political + cultural + historical centrality was increasingly made to fade, ie transformed from participants in the national story to spectral reminders of an undesirable past… thinking about that alternate LOTR ending where Sam talks to his daughter Elanor about Celeborn staying alone in Lothlorien, and her calling it ā€œterribly sadā€ā€¦ artefacts/relics/remembrance etc etc…
+ in Tolkien, fading is often accompanied by a refusal to speak of the past. Sam, after Frodo’s departure, speaks little of the Ring or of what was lost, or with CelebrĆan, the narrative has nothing to add about the year between Cel’s capture and torture, vs her sailing, ie what it was like to make the decision to sail after the act of violence. Similarly, in India, public discourse around Patrition + postcolonial antiMuslim violence is marked by silences, half-truths, and amnesia (similar to how the Bangladesh War of Liberation is taught in Pakistan, from what I hear from a cross-border friend…). And this silence is absolutely not accidental but functional: they allow the nation to perform coherence by concealing rupture.
Eg just as the memory of Frodo’s pain is only buried under the peace of the Shire and never truly gone, the memory of communal violence in India is buried (quite literally sometimes, thinking about Babri masjid…) beneath the rhetoric of secularism, progress and unity. IE like Maedhros realises in that snip above where he ā€œlosesā€ his name, India tells itself that it must forget the past in order to survive the future… and in doing so, renders certain kinds of survival indistinguishable from death 🄲
So yes, I absolutely think it’s exactly that ā€œviolence of belongingā€, where to belong fully often requires the erasure of the other, where even the sacred return is structured by exclusion. Ie the ā€œofferā€ of ā€œreturningā€ to an imaginary, idealised and ultimately inert ā€œhomelandā€ is more a euphemism for removal, or a horizon made visible only through loss.
The political grammar of ā€œsunderedā€ states require a sort of continuous re-inscription: new Others, new exiles, new purity tests. and in both Tolkien + postcolonial India, gesturing the ā€œfading peopleā€ towards a redemptive ā€œhomelandā€ doesn’t signify the endpoint of suffering and victimisation, but rather serves as its ongoing justification. Eg is it homecoming or is it exile? 🄲
Hope my very incoherent midnight thoughts make sense! You really put my brain on speedrun mode jsjsjsjxjd this is the fastest I’ve run to answer a meta ask hahaha. And I also wanted to say thank you so much for leaving all those fantastic comments on my fics, I normally respond in bulk because I’m only logged in to AO3 on my desktop, but I just wanted to say they have TRULY been making my week…

I wanted to draw them, also compare a baby vessel to their sizes on my AU and have an excuse to draw PK. White Lady is shorter here because she's not completely rooted to a place, if she does root herself she's twice the size.
What's happening in the drawing, well i'll let you interpret the situation as you wish. List of headcanons about the egg and closeup of baby Brook (lost kin) under the cut.
I am a fully believer on the theory that white lady's eggs are more like fruits: therefore I believe the eggs need to be connected to her roots in order to incubate them, she gives it nutrients to grow the baby inside. When an egg is near ready to hatch, it will break the conection to her roots and after a week or two it'll be ready to hatch and like some bugs eggs, the larva/grub might need help getting out so that's the observation period, since she won't know if the baby is okay.
Because it's also a wyrm egg, the egg needs to be warm and around a safe envyronment for it to hatch, kinda like how if you talk to plants they'll bloom faster or when threatening a plant it'll probably grow differently, something like that but also it needs a connection with the parents (PK being a god of the mind and all that) So far that's what I got about the eggs, yes Brook is sleeping on WL shoulder which means the egg is holding someone else. Here's the close up :]]

about the Bobby Nash alive theories
Spoilers ahead of course :)
Alright sweethearts, 8x16 has confirmed to me even more that Bobby still lives. You wanna know why?
A bunch of things:
The involvement of the army, refusing to release his body. Everyone who has seen a classic sci-fi movie knows SHIT IS UP WHEN THE ARMY IS BEING SNEAKY
Operation white coat. So, when you watch 8x15, you hear them say something along the lines of "initiate white coat protocol" when they "take" Bobby away. When we hop to google, we find operation Whitecoat. Operation White Coat was an operation led by the US military in which people were used for human experiments in an attempt to come up with ways to defend the public from biological weapons.
No end montage? Every Character that leaves the show (Abby, Michael etc.) got an end montage. We even got a bigger one from Bobby when he was fake retiring. Now we did not get anything.
Why are we not drowning in exit interviews? All we have is the letter and the tiny interview on GMA. I know PK is a man who values his privacy, but come'on... He's been on 911 for a good 7/8 years. That is very strange.
The Saving Lives Con cancellations We all know that Ryan, Kenny and Aisha had to cancel their presence there, because 911 is still shooting. Apparently, the con had asked PK to attend as well. He was interested, but unavailable.
Strange? Hmmmmmm What do I think happend? Very friggin simple. The leaked script? That thing was real, and the moment it leaked, it send a bunch of people in panic mode. Why it's not fake? 911 cast members get their scripts sometimes a day before shooting. No one has time to fake shit. The moment it leaked, all alarm bells went off, and they cut the scene of Bobby "awakening" in his coffin. They rewrote some of the last two episodes to get it fixed. Am I delulu? Maybe I am. Or... Maybe not.

"Hornet is Void" theory, not in any sort of intentional, engineering-your-other-babies or whatever way, but in a "PK had awful policy with Void cross-contamination and it meant that Hornet came out with a handful of VERY conspicuously void-y characteristics that everyone tries to ignore because no one actually knows for sure where they came from and acknowledging them in any formal way could lead t a political shitshow" way.

a theory of mine as to why the children in the did community gravitate so hard towards making pk tmeplates, alter packs and etc is they want to feel useful, want praise and appreciation from people online that they lack in real life, without having to acknowledge their disorder as something negative.
Writing about symptom management or help requires acknowledgement that having alters is a symptom, that you can't just let your system "run wild" and that new alters are often not a good sign, while a lot of younger systems like to obsess over their alters, either to cope with the rest of the disorders being horrible by focusing on the thing they see as "positive", or simply because they're faking and having alters is the one overly glorified part of did. just my thoughts though
