Peppino pays Gus very well (esp after postgame) so theres no need to have tips. He lets Gus have the jar there anyway, but at the cost of having Pep occasionally come up behind him and catch him conning these poor customers

Decided to try and make a “title card” for two arcs I have in mind for @ask-the-totally-real-peppino​‘s blog. I may make them into little fancomics if I get the time. Signal Lost arc: The spirit phone gets set down somewhere while the group is out for ice cream after a nice celebration, unbeknownst to Pep that the surface they were sitting on was mobile. The vehicle drives away, separating the two from one another. After some cartoon-class shenanigans, the poor phone winds up on a roof. Then, the nearby construction causes them to vibrate and fall off the roof, slide down the awning, and hit Noise directly on the head while he was having his smoke break. The building they wound up on turned out to be Noisette’s cafe and Noise is completely weirded out by the phone and takes them inside to where Noisette and The Vigilante are. This is how I personally envision how the spirit phone officially meets the noise and the rest. Poor Pep is obviously anxious and worried for their well being while apart. (This means the spirit phone can only talk to the noise, noisette, and vigi at the time.) Connection Terminated arc: During a battle with Pizzahead, Pep is struck and his phone friends fall out of his pocket. The battle took place on the top of a new pizza tower, so the phone begins to head overboard, Pep tries to catch them...and fails. The phone falls from the top of the tower and shatters upon impacting the ground. Pep flies into a furious rage as he blindly rampages on the top of the tower, longing to tear pizzahead to shreds. After the shit hits the fan, the group scurries down the tower to find the phone broken and unresponsive (the ask box would be closed to simulate being unable to communicate during the arc) and Pep is beyond heartbroken. Maybe there’s a way to fix their friends? He can only hope... --Bonus traditional doodles below!--
