This is a wip of a commission I'm getting. It's showing all of Kiko so it won't be here, just FA and Twitter. I had to show her eyes, they're absolutely gorgeous in this sketch! I'm really looking forward to the finished piece by KhaliaArt. The artist that I adopted her from and she also did her ref sheet. I highly recommend her, she's fantastic!

Pocas veces lo he escuchado como recomendación para senderismo y no tengo la mínima idea del, por qué?

Posee 2 senderos largos dónde se llegan a cataratas y un circuito de 3,5 km donde se visitan las fumarolas del volcan.

Vale la pena, además ese día salieron a lucirse varios mamíferos: monos araña, una guatusa, pizotes y la joya de la corona fue un hermoso ejemplar de Tolomuco o Tayra

White-Nosed Coatimundis

Don't fall prey to the same error I did, it is pronounced "koh-ah-tee-muhn-dees"

Scientifically known as Nasua narica, AKA antoon, gato solo, pizote, and tejón.

You may or may not have noticed the rather pronounced sniffer on this lad, the folks behind its taxonomy sure did, Nasua translates to 'nose' and narica translates to nostril, I leave this information for you to do with as you wish.

This caniformic cutie is known to help pollinate balsa trees, in exchange it gets precious nectar, though, most of its food comes from insects, with the occasional land crab, or small vertebrate.

Despite being part of the same family as raccoons (Procyonidae) it is actually diurnal. It spends most of its time on the ground, but does climb trees, something its large front claws, and tail, make it adapt at.

It is thankfully considered least concern by the IUCN, its range is large (comprising some of North, Central, and South America) and its population has been growing since the sixties, after it took a hit, it even seems to have gotten a stable population in Florida, after some escaped captivity, though, the exact time it started is unknown.

Some people keep them as pets, I frankly detest that, but I concede, if I could cuddle one of these fluff-babies without harming either of us, I would.

South American Nasua by Anton Via Flickr: South American Coati (Nasua nasua) - Buenaventura Reserve, Ecuador The South American Coati, is very similar to the White-nosed Coati of Central America and the Southwest United States. There are some easily noticeable differences in color between the two closely related species, as with their central american counterparts N. nasua is a generalist and they can often be spotted foraging in both the leaf litter and up in trees. They will eat just about anything they encounter from including but not limited to fruit, invertebrates, small animals, and eggs. I saw one make short work of a dead bird on one occasion. The females live in large social groups while adult males are solitary, however during mating season a male may be allowed into the group where he will then mate with all the females. The females separate in order to give birth but shortly afterwards they rejoin their social group with their young.
