I've been working more on that Espilver fic with Silver From A Good Future This Time, and I've refound the joy of just... having random ideas for little snippets here and there that will eventually become full chapters, haha.

The main theme I want to focus on this time within the fic itself is stories, I feel like. How people's stories intertwine, how stories come and go and have a start and end, how Silver has been rewriting his own story and what will happen in that uncertainty. I'm curious if I can incorporate it well!

Been watching Pirates of Caribbean clips, and now I have a Sonic Pirates AU in my head! Sonic would be a perfect Jack Sparrow! Here's some other ideas for characters.

Silver as Will Turner

Blaze as Elizabeth Swan

Eggman as Barbossa (though I love the irony of Eggman Nega doing the wedding scene)

Naugus as Davy Jones

Rough & Tumble as Pintel & Ragetti

Tails and Knuckles sharing Gibbs' role

That's about all I can think of. I really want Amy in this, but it's hard thinking of a role that would suit her.

Silver was born to a poor family in the Soleanna countryside. They limped along for a few years, but the crops they tried to grow grew thinner and thinner. They gave what they could to Silver, which unfortunately meant they starved to death. Silver was three years old when both his parents died. He was taken in by various people, but he was a challenge most people didn’t want to deal with because of his mage abilities. Because he was so stressed  out and dealing with the grief and trauma of losing his parents at such a young age, his powers were pretty destructive. So he went from person to person, which didn’t help and just gave him abandonment issues on top of it because he would get attached to people quickly. Eventually he ended up in the capital city of Soleanna, where he finally just… didn’t go to the next person. He was so tired of getting hurt over and over again that he decided being homeless was a better alternative. Luckily, Princess Blaze, the ruler of Soleanna, found him on one of her expeditions out of the palace and took pity on him at first. She gave him food, told the guards to bring him back to the palace and make sure he was comfortable. He was not allowed in the same areas as the princess, nor was he allowed to be in the kitchens. But he was allowed a correspondence with her Highness. They bonded through words and tried to help each other the best they could. After a while, Blaze allowed him to join her for meals and walks in the courtyard. It wasn’t long before they fell for each other. Silver asked her to marry him, knowing it was a long shot. She refused, thinking it was unwise to marry a commoner. Shortly afterward, Blaze left for South Island on a diplomatic venture to offer condolences to Kintobor. However, Kintobor killed her entourage, and Silver heard he killed her as well, leaving him heartbroken. Soleanna tried to invade South Island in retaliation for killing their monarch, but due to spies and Shadow’s privateering, they were unable to do so. Silver joined the Navy and worked his way through the ranks, earning the rank of commander and going out to sea to seek revenge.

To everyone in the comments begging for a fic about this: PLEASE go read Heart of Gold with Blood-Red Eyes!!! It’s by this artist and features Shadow in a similar dynamic with Fleetway Super Sonic, and it is fantastic.

THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I'VE SEEN IN MY LIFE, I'M ASCENDING

"...but they hugged before" NO YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND

A normal hug, where two people cross each other and are unable to see the other's face since it's over their shoulder, is just as it is: a normal hug. It can be seen as platonic and/or romantic.

THIS is a lot more intimate. 3 and 4's heads touch while they hold each other by the hand. This type of hug is reserved more for romantic partners when the situation leads them to a devasting end, where they face each other to look at and remember what their partner looked like, one last time before they die.

In this case, it makes sense as the computer is collapsing within itself.

"It's not actually them tho." Yes, they're digital copies of 3 and 4 but that's the thing: they're COPIES, acting on what 3 and 4 would actually do

but then, that begs the question: would there be a moment where 3 and 4 would reveal their feelings for each other at the worst possible time?

Foreshadowing is a literary device—

no seriously, I feel like this could be part of a future arc where a past villain would ruin everything Four has and would offer up a deal when Four would be the most desperate. There's always a catch. Hmm, why does that seem familiar...?

Oh boy, what an episode. I feel like I'm in another plane of existence right now. Everything was absolutely incredible, great job Team!!

Everyone, say THANK YOU to whoever put the SMG34 crumbs in there, we shall treasure it for the rest of our lives. I'm gonna put those moments on my fridge. OH I would love to see the artists draw the SMG34 hug or pirate Four!

Love the fighting scene right by the end and the little details they have added in there. I guess it's "Torture Ink with the Idea that Goop!4 May Happen" day but hey, I'm so normal about it (no I'm not). I've been a bit stressed since finals are coming up so I'm thankful for anything this episode for me.

(If anyone is curious, the WOTFI website is still up and yes, I am logging its status just in case.)

SUPERB ART

Some sketch designs/ideas as reference for another pirate-themed picture I'm doing! I was playing around with the colours.

Amy is gonna be a barmaid in the picture I'm doing, but I didn't want to leave her out, so I designed how she would look like once she becomes a pirate! Knuckles is a privateer, Tails a navigator and maybe Silver is another pirate captain(?).
