Ranking Zexal female characters in terms of dueling (statistically)
This is the idea I got from TGS Anime where they ranked female leads and since clearly I have time to waste let's gooo
I want to start off with it's incredibly disappointing look at the scores and just have an innate desire to curse the writers not holding a pen and being allowed to write female characters ever again, but here we go
So let's start with Droite! She had mostly off-screen wins by collecting Heart Pieces in order to enter the Tournament, so 4 solo wins and 1 win in a tag team duel (she was unfortunately eliminated but she was in the winning team in a tag duel) so these are her scores
Tumblr media
Next is Rio! Now you must be wondering "When did she duel so much???" In one of the episodes Rio mentions "This makes our 100th sibling squabble duel" so she dueled 99 more times with her brother and I know she had been keeping score. She has two solo wins and 3 wins in the Friendship Games with Bronk, so here is the overall score
Tumblr media
Here comes Anna Kabooom, she has 0 solo wins, 1 win in the W.D.C. Tournament with Yuma and Gauche (she did not complete her Heart Pieces and entered the Tournament by abducting a finalist so no 4 wins), and 1 win with Yuma (but was unfortunately eliminated but was on the winning team of the tag duel) so here is her score
Tumblr media
And lastly, Cathy Katherine, she has 3 solo losses, 3 losses with Kotori as a tag team and 1 not shown in the final episode against Yuma, here is her overall score
Tumblr media
BONUS
LET'S HAVE A ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR THE ONLY FEMALE CHARACTER IN ZEXAL TO HAVE A 100% WIN RATIO
Tumblr media
Now let's rank the characters!
Total Duels
1. Rio Kamishiro - 109
2. Droite - 9
3. Cathy Katherine - 8
4. Anna Kaboom - 5
Win ratio:
1. Droite - 55.6%
2. Anna Kaboom - 40%
3. Rio Kamishiro - 4.59%
4. Cathy Katherine - 0%
Win scores:
So how this works is
Win -> 3 points, Draw -> 1 point, Lose -> -1 point
1. Droite - 12 points
2. Anna Kaboom - 3 points
3. Cathy Katherine - -7 points
4. Rio Kamishiro - -88 points
Final score
So now I'll give points based on the previous leaderboards so
1st -> 10 points, 2nd -> 8 points, 3rd -> 6 points, 4th -> 4 points
1. Droite - 28 points
2. Rio Kamishiro - 20 points
3. Anna Kaboom - 20 points
4. Cathy Katherine - 16 points
Final winner is our butterfly girl
Droite

I'm so close to my limit on this fucking card game.
Greetings fellow duelists.
Picture this, okay. You're a Branded player. Hateful, I know. You want to play paper, build the deck in real life, test it out with other people. Great. Awesome. Fun for you!
You play some Master Duel, get a feel for the deck. Alright, yeah, feels good, feels powerful. Bit bricky, but who cares? Isn't every deck? (Coping.)
Grab a couple of Albaz Strike Structure Decks. $60 total, wow! Fit together something resembling your build, if a bit on the cheap side, but that's fine. You're just testing it out.
Boom! Wake up babe, new support just dropped. Time to upgrade! A trap like Branded Banishment, a clean $10, alright. Another Ecclesia retrain in Cartesia, a monster and a fusion spell? Sick, sign me up! So, how much we talking? $20? $30?
$60.
Oh. Alright, we'll just skip her for now then. No need to cash out so much for a one-of that only boosts consistency. What else is there?
Right, yeah, the Bystial monsters! A bunch of big asshole dragons who are also handtrap chaos monsters? Damn, pretty strong! Got some nice new continuous spells and traps like Regained and Beast for $5 each, yeah, sure.
The monsters aren't too terrible. Saronir for $5, Druiswurm for $10, Magnamhut for $20. Pricey, sure, but if it changes and evolves the playstyle so much. Oh, and Lubellion! So again, like $30, right? Or is this another $60 Cartesia situation?
$120.
Okay no. If we can't have all these nice pretty new Branded cards for under $300 when I'm only planning to mess around, I'm good, I'll pass.
Luckily, the tins are coming out later this year, so I'm sure the reprints will be a lot cheaper. And prettier, too. Then I can finally upgrade my deck and play like I've practiced in-game! Just one more month, right?
DING DONG!
Oh? Who's that?
IT CHANGED.
Hmm? What did?
THE WHOLE DECK. IT'S COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. NO MORE DESPIA. NO MORE BYSTIALS. NO MORE BRANDED SPELLS AND TRAPS.
... But I liked Branded Beast control. I liked Masquerade + Dramaturge pass. I loved bringing back Mirrorjade with Ad Libitum. I loved banishing my opponent's monsters with Magnumhut to +2. What happened? Where're my children? Where are we? Who are you?
WELCOME TO DUEL MONSTERS BITCH, IT'S TIME FOR CHIMERA BRANDED, FORGET ABOUT THE TINS.

The guardians of the Pharaoh
The rise of a new darkness
Tumblr media
I don't own Yugioh or it's characters
Chapter 4
Seto had been busy making preparations for the tournament since he arrived at the office and he was finding it to be a massive pain in the ass. He didn’t realize how much work would have to go into arranging an event of this calibre. In the back of his mind he knew he should scrap the whole idea, it had led to his fight with Lillian. And if he went through with his plan…chances were she would leave him…
But something was telling him to do this. On the one hand it was a good move. It would promote his newest invention but it would also improve the image of Kaiba Corp, showing the world that it was a business that no longer caused death and destruction but instead brought joy and entertainment to children. He had been trying to erase the bad reputation associated with the Kaiba name since he took charge of the company. He had run the idea of the tournament with his PR team and the remaining members of board and even they thought it was a good idea…
But on the other hand he had a problem. Lillian had mentioned how dangerous the rare hunters were and the fact that they worked under someone worse. If he wanted to do this, he needed to find a way to deal with them but he didn’t know how.
Then there was the issue with Yugi…he understood where Lillian had come from. He would be livid too if someone wanted to put Mokuba into a dangerous situation too.
The fight had taken his own…well fight out of him. It wasn’t worth it anymore to regain his title from the pip-squeak if it meant he lost any chances of winning his girl back and making it up to her…he wanted nothing more than to go find her, to get on his knees and beg for her forgiveness and if there was one thing a Kaiba didn’t do was beg.
The brunet sighs as he sets down the papers he was working on and leaned back in his chair, turning it slightly as he looked out the window at the rain pelting the glass. He closes his eyes for a moment to try and calm the storm inside his mind when the door to his office flew open, and in the doorway stood a very pissed off Yugi Muto, “KAIBA!”
He knew someone of the Muto would show up eventually, though he was not expecting it to be Yugi. He opened his eyes and looked at the teen, “What are you doing here Muto?” he really wasn’t in the mood to deal with this right now. Yugi (who was actually Yami) folded his arms as he glared at the CEO, “You have some explaining to do.” He’s deep voice echoed through the room…Kaiba raised a brow as he looked at the short teen that was trying to be intimidating. For the first time he noticed the slight differences in his appearance and the differences in his domineer, the striking look in his eyes and the change in his voice…maybe there was something to this whole ‘two souls in one body’ thing Lillian had mentioned.
He rubbed his forehead as he sighed; “I’m guessing Lillian told you what happened.” he sat up and rested his elbows on his desk, intertwining his fingers and resting his chin on his hands. “Actually she didn’t, but it wasn’t hard to figure it out…she locked herself in her room for a few days now and refuses to speak to anyone…” Yami could feel his partner’s anger, knowing the other wanted to ring the brunet’s neck but the spirit had promised to handle this.
Yami had never felt Yugi so angry before, his normally sweet and kind little angel’s heart radiating rage. Honestly he would feel the same if someone had hurt his little light, actually he would do much worse than just being angry. He would unleash his dark powers unto that person, sicking the shadows on them. Heck he had done that when he took control of Yugi the first few times when he was in danger.
“And I’m guessing you’re here to teach me a lesson.” Seto spoke in a mono tone, not even a hint of his usual sarcasm in his voice. Yami raised a brow, this wasn’t what he was expecting, “Yes, me and you are gonna play a little game…a shadow—“
“Not interested.” Seto stated as he gathered the documents on his desk, straightening them before turning to his computer with disinterest in Yami. This floored the spirit. This was not the reaction he was expecting, “What do you mean you’re not interested?”
The brunet sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose, “If you’re here to kick my ass then get it over with but don’t treat this as one of your mumbo jumbo magic tricks. Because honestly I can’t deal with anymore of this nonsense.” He got up and walked over to one of the bookshelves that lined the while that was filled with files, removing one before turning to Yami, “If I have to hear the words ‘shadow game’ or ‘ancient pharaoh’ or Millennium items or anything else I swear I’m gonna hit something.” He walked back over to desk.
‘What the heck was he going on about?’ both Yugi and Yami thought to themselves. We’re they missing something? “What are you talking about Kaiba?” the CEO sat back down as he opened the file, flipping through the papers, “Go check out the new Egyptian exhibit at the museum, you’ll find all your answers there. It had everything; giant stones with carvings of duel monsters and even ancient versions of ourselves facing each other in one of these magically shadow games.” He said sarcastically this time as all of this was starting to give him a headache.
Well that was…unexpected. Yami tilted his head to the side as he was trying to make sense of what was going on, “I’m not here to listen to you ramble on. I’m here because you hurt Lillian and I want to know why.” He demanded, starting to raise his voice.
“I don’t see how that’s any of your business.”
“She’s family. Of course it’s my business Kaiba!” Yami glared at the other, clenching his fists. Yugi was listening the whole time and was starting to lose his temper, wanting to take over and give the arrogant asshole in front of the two teens.
“If this is all you’ve come here to do, you can leave. I have work to do and you’re distracting me.” The brunet stated as he turned his attention back to the documents on his desk. Yugi had had enough and took over, “Do you even care? Do you have no remorse for what you did to here? You think you can do whatever you want to her like she’s just something you can own! And you know why, because you can’t care about anyone other than yourself!” something flies past the boys head and hits the wall behind him.
Seto had thrown the file at Yugi, missing the boy as he stood up and stared at him with anger in his eyes, “Don’t talk about shit you don’t understand Muto.” he gritted his teeth.
Despite this Yugi didn’t back down, he stood his ground, “You gonna hit me too? Use me as your punching bag like you use her?” Seto growled as he pushed away his chair and walked over to the window, trying to calm himself down before he made another stupid mistake. He is quiet for a moment before letting out a long breath, “I didn’t…I didn’t mean to hurt her…I was just…so mad in that moment…we had gotten into a stupid fight over something so dumb…And when she brought up my step-father I just…” he covers his face with his hand, “…I just lost it…”
He turned to face Yugi, the last person he wanted to be talking to about this. To have to explain his actions to Lillian’s little brother was humiliating and just reminded him of what a shitty person he had been. “…Do you honestly think for one second that I would lay my hands on the most important person in my life other than my brother?” he took a step towards the shorter teen, “DO you really see me as such an asshole that I wouldn’t feel guilt and shame for what I did to her? That I would sooner jump off the top of this building before I ever hurt her?” Yugi wasn’t sure what to answer…
The CEO walked over to the couch and sat down, resting his elbows on his knees as he holds his head in his hands, letting out a long sigh, “I know I’ve done a lot of shitty things in myself that I’m not proud of. But that night…the look on her face…the fear in her eyes…it’s something I never want to see again…”
He turned his gaze to Yugi as a single tear ran down the brunet’s cheek, “Yugi you may hate me right now…but I don’t think anyone can hate me more than I hate myself right now.”
Slowly Yugi walked over and sat beside Seto, the short teen staring at his shoes while the other stared into the distance. The tri-coloured haired boy was honestly at a loss for words. The anger he had felt had faded away as he listened to Kaiba words…he could see that he did feel remorse for what happened. He felt uncomfortable in this moment as he held his hands in his lap as he twirls his thumbs, “Kaiba…I don’t…I don’t hate you…I’m upset with you but…I don’t hate you.”
Seto wasn’t expecting that but honestly he couldn’t care, “No offense Yugi but I don’t care if you don’t hate me…because I’m pretty sure Lillian hates me and doesn’t want anything to do with me…” Ok ouch Yugi thought but he understood in a way…”Seto…” the teen shakes his head, “…I don’t think she hates you…at least not completely. She tried to defend you in a way…she said she fell of her bike when I accused you…”
The brunet let out a soft chuckle as he shook his head, “Of course she would try to protect me even if I screwed up royally.” He leans back as he stared up at the ceiling, “It’s what she always does…I really don’t deserve her…”
“Honestly have to agree.” Yugi stated firmly, “I don’t think there’s a person on earth that deserves her…even though she kinda abandoned us for a year…something that I think we’re both still trying to deal with…” he mumbled as he sat back to, moving some of his bangs out his hair before he sighs, “But nobody’s perfect…not you, not me, and not even her. We all make mistakes and do things we’re not proud up…we let people down or hurt them when we don’t mean to…it’s what makes us human…”
Yugi turned his gaze to the taller teen, “After you hurt my grandpa and we duelled the first time, I didn’t think you were capable of remorse…but seeing how you are beating yourself up over what happened, maybe there is a chance you can redeem yourself in my sisters eyes…”
He said with a small smile before turning serious again, “Doesn’t mean I’m forgiving you over what happened…you have a lot of work in front of you before I let you near my sister again.” this made the brunet chuckle, “Like you can keep me away from her pip-squeak.”
“Hey only Lillian can call me that.” He pouts as Seto shakes his head before sighing, “How…how is she doing?”
“Not good for the moment but she’s a strong person…she’ll come around…she’s just needs time…I think you both need to work through what happened and just give each other time to heal.” Seto simply nodded as he got up and walked over to his table, “You’re pretty wise Yugi. Listen…I’m hosting a tournament in a weeks’ time…it’s probably gonna be dangerous if what your sister said is true…I’ll be taking part and you can enter if you wish to…” he picks up the phone and makes a quick call for his driver to bring the limo around. He hangs up and turns to the other, “Henry will take you home or he can take you anywhere you want to go.” The next thing he mentioned surprised the teen, “I do recommend you visit the Museum. I may not believe in this ancient Egyptian nonsense but I believe it’s something you would be interested in.”
Yugi nodded as he stood up and headed to the door, stopping when Seto spoke up again, “One more thing…can you…can you give Lillian a message for me?” the smaller teen nodded, “Tell her I’m…I’m sorry and that I love her…” Yugi looks at him before nodding again before leaving…
Yugi and Yami headed to the museum before going home. The boys had met Ishizu, she was…interesting. She seemed nice enough and genuinely tried her best to explain everything to the teens…that Yami was the soul of an ancient Egyptian pharaoh who saved the world nearly 5000 years ago by locking away an unstoppable darkness and the shadow games. She told them that this darkness had retuned and that someone wished to use that very darkness to steal the Pharaoh’s power…which confused Yami a little since he wasn’t aware of any power he had. Sure he could manipulate people into shadow games and control the shadows but that was about it…
The woman had showed them the stone tablet that depicted the nameless pharaoh and his priest locked in an epic battle, the 3 god cards carved above them as well as an image of the Blue eyes white dragon and the Dark magician. Yugi stared at the image of the pharaoh…something about it seemed…familiar…Ishizu’s voice seemed to fade as he took a step towards the stone feeling like he was in a trance. He rested his hand on the glass as a tear ran down his cheek, a sadness that was not his own filled his heart. Yami could feel this and tried to get Yugi’s attention, coming out of the puzzle as he put his transparent hand on the boys shoulder…
Suddenly Yugi feels his mind being thrown back, images flashing through his head and he finds himself in the most beautiful garden he had ever seen, the night sky above him sprinkled with stars and the full moon reflected in the pond where the fish were swimming around peacefully. He looks at his reflection in the water and realizes he wasn’t dressed in his school uniform anymore but a white tunic made of the softest material he had worn…his wrists and upper arms were adorned with golden bands, a purple sash around his waist. He can feel something from his right ear and realizes it’s an earring in the shape of some kind of cross and a tin golden band around his forehead like some kind of crown, a jewel hanging in the centre…he didn’t even have a chance to think when he heard someone approaching him.
He looks up in time to see…Yami…but it didn’t look like him…he looked like the vision he had of him a few nights ago. He looked like a pharaoh…he looked beautiful…
Yami smiled at the shorter teen as he approached him, picking up lily from the pond and places it behind Yugi’s ear, a soft blush spreading over the boy’s cheeks as the other smiled at him, speaking in a language Yugi didn’t understand…he felt his heart flutter as Yami leaned in and was about to kiss the other when Yugi was pulled back to reality, gasping as he collapsed to the floor, landing on his rear end as he could take his eyes off the tablet and the image of Yami.
The spirit panicked when his partner was acting strangely before he collapsed, he could feel his heart racing as the teen was trying to catch his breath. Ishizu is at his side, asking if he was alright as she helped him stand…asking what happened…
Yugi couldn’t explain and honestly didn’t want. He didn’t even know what to make of what he had experienced…it felt more like a memory than a vision…but why? What did it mean?
Yugi said that he was fine and let Ishizu finish her story about the pharaoh, mentioning that the evil would make itself known during the Battel City tournament that Kaiba was hosting…and that Yami and Yugi would be facing this evil…
Yami was worried about Yugi as the young teen hadn’t spoken to him since the incident. He wondered what had happened, hoping his little one was alright…
The boy finally spoke up when they arrived home, stating how cool if had been to find out where Yami had come from and that he had once been this powerful Pharaoh who saved the world. A smile formed on the spirits face, just glad that Yugi was talking to him again. He had to agree that it felt good to find out something about who he was but there was still so much that he didn’t know…they started talking about their destiny that they needed to face…together…
Later that night Yugi was sitting in his room, his duel monsters cards spread out on the carpet as he and Yami had been working on their deck, the spirit was sitting beside his little light, a soft smile on his face as he listened to Yugi rambling on about which cards they should add and figuring out new strategies. Even though his existence was a mystery to him and there were so many unknowns, one thing was clear; these moments with Yugi were the best moments of his afterlife. Seeing that sweet smile made his chest feel warm and something else filled his spirit that he couldn’t explain.
The boys were interrupted when there was a knock at the door, Yugi set down the Light force Sword card he had been holding, standing up and going to answer the door, finding his sister standing there. He was little surprised and relieved to see her, “Hey. How are you feeling?” he asked with a soft smile. “I’m alright. Um…mom and grandpa went to visit dad…It’s just gonna be us for a while...I um…I wanted to know what you wanted for dinner.” Lillian had decided to stop mopping and to move on. She would eventually go have a talk with Seto but not now, she wasn’t ready to face him just yet.
“I could make us something to eat or we can have take-out.” She suggested. Yugi thinks it over before grinning, “Can we get burgers?” Lillian shook her head with a giggle, “Seriously little brother? You can’t live on burgers alone. It’s the reason you haven’t had a growth spurt in years.” She turned and headed to the kitchen to find Burger Worlds take-out menu in the drawers where they kept all the pamphlets while Yugi ran after her, “I’ll have you know Joey eats just as many burgers as I do and his taller than I am!” he yelled out.
The siblings made themselves comfortable in the TV room while that were waiting for the food to arrive, a show about 2 brothers hunting supernatural creatures with the help of their angel friend was playing on the television. Yugi had gathered his cards while Lillian got out her own deck which she hadn’t used in a while. They were sitting on opposite ends of the coffee table busy playing a friendly game. Yugi had missed this, he and Lillian used to play all the time when they were younger, grandpa had taught them everything he knew. Lillian always stated that she wasn’t as good as her brother or grandpa but the short teen would disagree. She was a good player when she put her mind and heart into the game, unlike tonight…
She was down to her last few life points and only had 2 cards left on the field, one face down monster and her Umi field spell card. Meanwhile Yugi had both his Dark Magician and Dark Magician girl on his side of the field with most of his life points still untouched. Lillian pouted before sighing, “Guess I still suck at this game.” This made Yugi laugh, “You really don’t. Joey played worse than this when he started.” Lillian rolled her eyes as she smiled softly, “Wheeler’s really come a long way. And so have you.”
“Thanks but Yami’s the real champion. He carried us throughout duellist Kingdom.” He blushes as he rubs the back of his neck as he glances over at the spirit who was quietly watching the siblings from his place on the couch, a fond expression on his face.
“Don’t be modest…but yeah your imaginary boyfriend did do most of the work.” she smirked as Yugi’s whole face went bright red, “He…I…um…we...I…huh?!” Yami couldn’t stop himself from laughing at Yugi’s reaction to his sisters teasing. The shorter teen glared at him, “It’s not funny!” the boys voice cracked and made the pharaoh laugh even harder. Lillian sat back and watched her brother yelling at someone that wasn’t even there, or at least at someone that couldn’t be seen.
“You’re so easy to rile up sometimes…” she smiled fondly as Yugi turned to her, mumbling under his breath. A news report came up on the TV, the reporter announcing that Kaiba Corp was going to be host a large scale duelling event, inviting some of the top rank duellists in the world to take part. This shifted the mood of the room, Lillian’s expression turning grim as she turned her gaze to her cards, “So…after everything he’s going through with it…” she sighed as she pulled her knees to her chest, hugging her legs as she rested her chin on her knees.
She was hoping that Seto would have realized what a stupid and dangerous idea this tournament was. The god cards were unpredictable and attracted trouble…
Yugi looked at his sister who had gone quiet, his eyes landing on her black eye, the bruise already turning green and yellow as it was fading. Yugi fidgeted with his fingers, “I um…I went to go see him…” Lillian looked up at him as her eyes widened, “You did what?!”
“I just…I was mad and…I knew you were lying when you said you fell and…I just…” He was getting flustered again.
Lillian groaned as she rolled back, lying on the floor as she covered her face with her hands, “You wanted to be the brother to defend his sister’s honour?” Yugi started to blush again as he looked at her, “Kinda…Yami wanted to play a shadow game with him…”
~Correction, the shadow game was your idea little one.~
~You’re not helping Yami.~
The spirit shrugged as she leaned back on the couch. Lillian rubbed her forehead, “Of course you two would do something like that.” She sighed as she laid her arms above her head, staring at the ceiling…”How is he?” Despite ignoring Seto’s calls she still wanted to know if he was ok, if he was letting himself fall back into his bad habits or is he taking care of himself…she wanted to know if he was doing ok mentally and emotionally, knowing that what he did was probably eating him alive inside…
“He’s…ok I think…he feels really bad about what he did…he has a message for you.” Yugi spoke softly as he rests his arms on the table, staring at his Dark Magician card. Lillian slowly sat up and tilted her head as she looks at her little brother as the kid continued, “He says that his really sorry…and that he loves you…”
She sighed softly as she runs her fingers through her hair before standing up and walking to the window, staring out of it as the clouds were slowly parting, the moon showing its face for the first time in days. Yugi’s gaze followed her, “He thinks you hate him…” the girl wrapped her arms around herself, leaning against the glass as she sighs sadly, “I don’t think I could ever hate him…not even after what happened…I pushed him over the edge and said somethings that I shouldn’t have…”she raised her hand to her face, her fingers running over the bruise, “…we both reacted badly to things we didn’t want to hear…”
“Do you still love him?”
“What kind of question is that? Of course I still love him…I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving him…”
Yugi nodded as he turned his attention the TV, Seto on the screen busy holding a press conference to talk about the tournament and the rules for the event. Lillian looked over at the image as she heard his voice, he sounded all professional and confident, acting like the arrogant CEO people knew him to be but Lillian knew better. She could see the dead look in his eyes, the exhaustion, the grief…she walked over and turned off the TV, watching as the screen goes black. She wanted to go to him, to hold him and tell him that she loved him…but there was a part of her that was still unsure about how she felt about everything that had happened and the fact that his was going through with this stupid tournament.
The room is silent for a moment before the doorbell rings. Yugi goes to fetch the food and returns to the living room, seeing his sister was still at the television set. He clears his throat, “Yami and I are gonna enter the tournament.” Lillian turned to him with a frown, “And before you bite my head off, let’s eat and give me a chance to explain…” she didn’t argue as she sat down as Yugi handed her her food. The short teen told his sister about the trip to the museum and learning about Yami’s past and the destiny the two of them shared to face the great evil that was coming to Domino.
Lillian listened while she ate…she understood what he was saying and why he wanted to do this but that didn’t mean she liked it…
“You’re not entering that tournament…not alone at least…” she mumbled as she set the empty food container aside and wiped her hands with the napkin. Yugi raised a brow, “What do you mean?”
“Yugi…I know the evil that’s coming and they are bringing the force of the god cards with them…they are a force like you’ve never faced before…” this disheartened the boy a little but he would remain determined. Lillian picked up the face down monster she had laid on the field, “…And thanks to Pegasus, we have the cards that can possible defeat them…” she revealed her card to be The Silent Siren…a divine beast with 3000 ATK and DEF that doubled when Umi was on the field and an attack that attacks your opponents life points directly…and that was just a small taste of the cards power.
Yugi’s eyes widen as she carefully takes the card from her, looking at the image printed on it, it looked just like his sister…”Where did you get this?”
“Pegasus’ man servant gave it to me before we left the island…and there’s another one that’s much worse...a card that has a one hit kill…” she took the card back and placed it back on the table, “Your life points hit zero…I win…” Lillian said with a small grin. Yami floated over and looked at the card…this was unbelievable…and there was another divine beast in Lillian’s deck?
The siblings are silent for a moment before Lillian started to pack away her cards, “We’ll both need to update our decks if we stand a chance at getting to the finales?” Yugi perked up and smiled, “You’re gonna enter?” Lillian nodded as she stood up and ruffled her little brother’s hair, “Someone’s gotta watch your back…”
She left the room, listening to Yugi talked excitedly to Yami…if only he knew the dangers that lies ahead…
Lillian reached her room and walked over to her closet and pulled out a large box. She set it on her bed, and opened it, revealing the duel disk Seto had gifted her, she ran her fingers over her name that was engraved elegantly in the metal…she slowly lifted it out of the box and fasted it to her arm, it fit like a glove…she set her deck in the sot and activated the device, a holographic image of Seto appears on the middle card slot, the figure saying one simple message, “As corny as I know this sounds…I want you to know that I love you…and that you stand by my side everyday just as my Blue eyes fights by my side when I duel. You are my inspiration, my heart, my soul…never forget that…” the figure smiled as a tear ran down Lillian’s cheek…
She watched as the hologram disappears and she turns off the machine…she made a promise that no matter what she would protect both Seto and Yugi from Destiny and the danger it was going to bring…

Ah yes, the time I got bored in class and gave dub names to all those who didn't have any dub names
Also this
"Mark Adams" is because Yusei went by Yusei Adams to pretend to be a janitor in the dub and I went with it. Did I pick Mark because he's marked? I have no idea.
Yes, Mokuba is 'Will' because Will Byers. And yes. Parson is a reference to Priest Set. I went with all profession based ones because we already have a Wheeler, a Taylor, and a Gardner.
I couldn't change Yugi's because, well "Yugioh" but if I did... I saw someone somewhere use Felix or Avery. Maybe Oliver. Or Philip aka "Pip/ Pipsqueak".
Tumblr media
I went and renamed the Zexal dub cast because I FELT LIKE IT
Yes I gave Astral the name Halo because it seemed like a dub-name (Halo as his codename, his real name's still Apis...or Elpis)
I have no logic for any of the Tsukumos' names except that "they look like a-". Yuma and Kazuma especially look like a Dexter and Martin... and then I realised Dexter is too much like 'Dextra' so I had to change that too :) I am lowkey proud of coming up with Psyche and Leon though
Also the logic for the Tenjous' dub-surname is because Byers= Will and Jonathan who immensely reminded me of Kite and Hart

Propaganda under the cut!
Dog-Chan
shes cute :')
Ranran Nanahoshi
somehow she's fail even when she's cool (ninja skills) but also she's just very cute i love her very much. she's got a great sense of justice even if she can be a bit dense and loves cute things. when she's in a professional setting she puts on an authoritative act but it cannot truly hide her ditzy self and i love that for her. she isn't actually good at duelling because she created her deck by picking monsters she thought were cute instead of for their strength which like. yeah. she's a kid of course she would. hell yeah. she's also a fun character to see interact with others, whenever she interacts with others i just know i'm going to have fun watching. look i just love her alright

Some characters from Zexal wearing Scooby-Doo character's clothes. This was for Halloween, but yeah.
I couldn't give the others the same painting treatment that i gave Kotori, because my cellphone just couldn't handle any more layers.

yugioh: oh look, it’s a huge dog who can talk and duel!
yugioh: haha just kidding, it’s actually a little girl talking, and the dog’s just a front
yugioh: the dog CAN duel, though
