È tutto perfetto e incredibilmente abbinato. L'abito mi ha sorpreso: è interamente in pizzo di seta e se avesse avuto la gonna in duchesse sarebbe stato molto simile a quello di mia mamma; il bouquet è classico, composto da rose, peonie, nebbiolina ed eucalipto, simboli di purezza, prosperità nel matrimonio, protezione; lo sposo, elegante come un gentiluomo d'altri tempi, è tutto da immaginare; lo trovo poetico, perché non avendolo ancora incontrato, è come se il sogno lasciasse spazio ad un frammento di realtà, da aggiungere quando sarà il momento. La torta è raffinata; si tratta di una nude cake e giacché non amo i dolci troppo grassi, quella crema di burro solo leggermente accennata mi dà un senso di tranquillità. Le scarpe vintage mi garbano molto, infatti ho anche comprato di recente un paio molto simile, beige e verniciate, da sfoggiare in autunno e in primavera quando l'occasione lo richiederà. Cosa dire poi della suggestiva location e delle splendide fedi nuziali? La prima unisce l'architettura medievale, la natura e l'atmosfera romantica, perfettamente inerenti al mio percorso di studi e alla mia indole; le seconde sono semplici, essenziali, potenti, avvolte dalle foglie d'ulivo, simbolo di rinascita, pace e forza genitrice.

Il matrimonio per me non è una semplice festa, né uno status symbol, o un obiettivo da raggiungere; è una scelta di vita, una vocazione, l'unica forma che si sente affine al proprio essere per amare, nella famiglia e al di fuori di essa. Allora sì, che ne vale la pena e quel giorno sarà davvero importante. Chissà se incontrerò la persona giusta con cui vivere questa magnifica avventura... Se ciò non dovesse accadere, spero tanto di aiutare gli altri ad organizzare un momento così speciale! 🪄

Fun Fact: This is Ashanti, TJ's older sister. She's engaged to Mekhi (Monet's older brother). Her & TJ are actually Melo's cousins. Melo was raised by his Aunt (Ashanti & TJ's mom) and Grandma. His mom passed away when he was very young.

Ashanti and Mekhi have had an on -again-off-again relationship since high school. Now that they're 30-somethings, She's ready to settle down and start a family. She stopped taking her birth control (without telling Mekhi) and has been trying to get pregnant. They just got back together (officially) not too long ago and she is not about to do the whole break-up/make-up thing any more. She damn near gave him an ultimatum that he better put a ring on it, or else...A few months later, he did exactly that. She...I mean they're planning the wedding of her dreams. Mekhi would be ok with going to the courthouse but anything for the love of his life...right?

Setting: There’s a lot of ways you cab go with this, especially depending on the time of year. But if you’re near a location with snow, that’s a prime spot. A winter wonderland forest gives perfect Jack Frost energy.

Decorations: This is an eclectic style, because each of the Guardians was inspired by different cultures. I would personally lean into the detailed and rich influence of Russian and Indian weddings - focusing heavily on white, gold, and ice blue with pops of jewel tones (red for North, green for Aster, and purple for Toothiana). Pull winter foliage (pine garlands and wood) with gold figurines of snowflakes, bunnies, sleighs, and hummingbirds.

Entertainment: I think there’s some fun to be had here with mixing traditions from different holidays, such as an Easter egg hunt and opening Christmas poppers. You could put together a “tooth memory quiz” or a game based on finding teeth under a pillow. For Sandy, you could use kinetic sand to let your younger guests shape and build their dreams.

Food: Pull your favorite foods from around the world! Bring in some hot cocoa, tropical fruit, curry, Russian walnut cookies, and other treats that bring the Guardians to mind.

The vibe is celebrating both your childhood whimsies and your hopes for your future with your loved ones!

“Oh, fuck,” Hood says. He jerks forward, arm raised like he could do anything to stop Kon. “Wait—”

and oh man. my favorite part was? everything?? i can’t think of a single moment without smiling so hard my cheeks hurt. but i’ll go with our first dance—neither of us are dancers, but we practiced our choreography for weeks and totally pulled it off, and then immediately after that the first dance-dance song started and EVERYONE joined us on the dance floor and rocked out and it felt like something out of a movie. i felt so loved and so happy.
