I'm not surprised necessarily, but I am a bit surprised at the lead that Waan/Tul had....I'm still working on my full post about their relationship, but for funsies once that's done I might do a quick little series suggestion. Like a short little concept for the series as a whole with episode breakdowns. So for some more fun how about another poll... Who would you want to see for the second couple??

Now this is an interesting one since Cooheart does appear in Until We Meet Again, but since his character is dead....we could technically keep this acting pair together. No clear ideas for the couple dynamic/story.

We could pair Santa with a new actor, for this one I'm feeling that Wiew ends up going to college in Chonburi, maybe living with Waan, or in the hotel (which is a very specific trope that I really love for some reason). Love interest could be anything character wise, maybe another employee, maybe a fellow student, another long-term guest, who's to say??

Wiew/Don-Now I was hesitant, because I can't for sure get an idea of the age difference here, but seeing as Win and Dean are the same age, their brothers have to be fairly close in age. It's been a minute, but I think that Don is still in high school, but I could be wrong there. If so...maybe roommates to lovers while they're attending university together in Chonburi??

Entirely new couple, I'm seeing hotel employee romance, some workplace comedy vibes, maybe Tul does some matchmaking (honestly I can see that from Tul) while he's visiting Waan. I picked Fort and Oat for this because they're already signed to Wabi Sabi, but I do think they'd be a cute couple. They both had secondary roles in My Only 12%.

Finally, Del/?- So since we do love a connected story, we could bring Dean's sister into it, add a GL element, which is an idea I'm fond of. Del is still played by Pineare, and as her love interest I picked Aomsin, partly because she's also signed to Wabi Sabi, but also because she often has a badass vibe in her Instagram. I'm kind of thinking Del's going through a 'rebellious phase' she leaves school and gets a job at the hotel as like a holdover, kind of handed to her by her parents, since they have that connection (but she's still doing an excellent job, she takes pride in her work). Aomsin's character is someone she meets through work, she's out & proud, Del is intrigued by this very unapologetically herself person. She wants to get to know her. I'd personally stay away from gay panic and move more towards demiromantic/demisexual. Have this be the first time Del's had this more intense attraction toward anyone. I like the idea of juxtaposing the relationship of Waan/Tul (who in my head are two gays settled in their sexual identity) with Del in this new relationship, where you do have someone questioning, but not with the panic/fear.

So what do you think....to be honest, I think you could talk me into any of these with a good enough hook.

BOUN & KRIST: I JUST THINK THEY’RE NEAT

I judge a man’s character by how he treats women, and on that score, Boun and Krist get full marks.

Like, sometimes I see Thai actors at these fan benefits looking smug or impatient or bored with their predominantly female fans, and it makes me appreciate Krist and Boun so much more, because they’re so genuinely excited and sincere when they’re interacting with their fans.

It’s especially nice because both of them could easily coast on their respective popularity, and they’ve certainly been in the industry long enough that being jaded or standoffish would be perfectly human and understandable.

But.

Last year, I saw Krist spend three hours greeting fans on the second day of his five-hour solo concert showing pure enthusiasm and sincere joy the whole time, and Boun always has these bubbly, adorable reactions to fans teasing him or trying to match his energy. They don’t have to, but they choose to.

Also, tellingly, Krist and Boun are both incredibly sweet to and highly respectful of the women in their private circles, too. They don’t spend all their time only with men, which can be a teensy flash of red.

Boun’s always been close with the Wabi Sabi ladies like Sammy, Pineare, and Yindee (she was a staff member at SWS and one of Boun’s former roommates who passed away in early 2023), and he has female friends from university that he still spends time with.

Meanwhile, Krist’s friendly and comfortable with his current and former female costars—including Namtan, his former crush (and if that isn’t peak green flag, nothing is)—and he’s been adopted by every woman in the industry who’s been in the same room with him for ninety seconds or longer.

And of course, both of them are close to and openly proud of their mothers, who are both loving and supportive of their sons’ careers. :’)

The thing with celebrities is that, yes, they’re strangers and parasocial relationships with strangers can be harmful if you get too emotionally invested, but I just like recognizing when the strangers who do creative work I admire are also lovely in other ways.

I mean, liking and respecting women is below the bare minimum, but considering the world we live in, it’s nice to celebrate a win every now and then. \o/

NOTE: There are a ton of other women in their lives, I just ran out of photos I can post to tumblr on my phone and I wasn’t willing to cut down on the photos of them with their mothers because they’re stupid cute. That whole episode of Arm Share with Krist and his mother gave me terminal diabetes. He kept holding her hand—he adores her. And his relationship with his grandmother who raised him! Okay I’m done.

Empanado de cerdo con salsa de champiñones

Puedes convertir unos filetes de cerdo y unos champiñones en un plato excelente con dos pasos muy sencillos: empanar y hacer una salsa. Pruébalo con esta receta de empanado de cerdo con salsa de champiñones a la que yo acompañé con unas papas fritas crujientes.

INGREDIENTES  1x2x3x

1 kilo de filetes de cerdo

una pizca de sal (para sazonar la carne)

pimientas molidas (para sazonar la carne)

3 cucharadas de harina normal (para empanar)

2 huevos batidos (para empanar)

pan rallado (para empanar)

panko (pan rallado japonés, para empanar)

250 gramos de champiñones frescos (para la salsa de champiñones)

1 cebolleta con su parte verde (para la salsa de champiñones)

un chorro de aceite de oliva (para la salsa de champiñones)

una pizca de sal (para la salsa de champiñones)

pimientas molidas (para la salsa de champiñones)

2 cucharadas de mostaza de Dijon (para la salsa de champiñones)

200 mililitros de nata (para la salsa de champiñones)

2 papas medianas por persona

ELABORACIÓN PASO A PASO 

Empezamos salpimentando los filetes de cerdo.

Luego los empanamos pasándolos por harina, huevo batido y pan rallado.

Para ello ponemos la carne en una bolsa de plástico y añadimos 3 cucharadas de harina normal...

... y sacudimos fuertemente la bolsa para impregnar la carne por todos lados.

Ponemos los huevos en un bol y los batimos...

... y preparamos el pan rallado poniendo la mitad de pan rallado y la otra mitad de pan tipo panko.

Pasamos la carne enharinada por los huevos batidos...

... y luego por la mezcla de pan rallado...

... y los vamos poniendo en un recipiente hasta el momento en el que los vayamos a freír.

Preparamos la salsa de champiñones. Empezamos limpiando bien de tierra los champiñones y los laminamos.

Cortamos en trozos la cebolleta con su parte verde,

la echamos en un caldero con un buen chorro de aceite de oliva caliente y dejamos rehogar hasta que la cebolleta esté transparente.

Cuando esto suceda añadimos los champiñones laminados y los salpimentamos dejándolos rehogar hasta que pierdan su agua.

Entonces añadimos la mostaza,

removemos bien y luego añadimos la nata dejando al fuego unos minutos hasta que reduzca ligeramente.

A la par pelamos y cortamos las papas en cuadraditos y las freímos en una freidora o sartén con abundante aceite de oliva...

... hasta que estén doradas y crujientes y las reservamos.

Por último freímos los filetes de cerdo empanados en una sartén con aceite de oliva caliente hasta que estén dorados.

Para el montaje del plato ponemos el empanado de cerdo, encima la salsa de champiñones y acompañamos con las papas fritas crujientes.
