i decided their mom is lenape/delaware nation. mabel is a jingle dancer and dipper was too when he was little but he hated it and then he wasn't girl anymore so he stopped. mabel got all his stuff when she transitioned :) whenever they visit they trick stan into giving them stuff by telling him they need it for an indian ritual to ward off gnomes <3

Pine cone sketch | Limited edition fine art print from an original drawing. A cone is an organ on plants in the division Pinophyta that contains the reproductive structures. The familiar woody cone is the female cone, which produces seeds. My sketches start life as hand-drawn graphite images made on cartridge paper. I often work on these with charcoal, oil pastel or Caran d'Ache to create the look I'm after. The artwork is then scanned and finessed digitally ready for fine art printing.
