So here's an odd little RWBY headcanon I've actually had for a while:

Obviously, Yang has been and always will be Team RWBY's designated driver. Whether on Bumblebee or any kind of car or truck, if Team RWBY is using any kind of land vehicle, Yang WILL be the one behind the wheel.

However, while Yang might be the designated driver, if/when Team RWBY gets their hands on an aircraft (or maybe spacecraft...) to use, I like the idea of Ruby being the team's PILOT.

Why exactly? A few reasons, most of them vibe-based.

Ruby's always been the most aerial-focused of her team when it comes to mobility, not counting Weiss's summon-mounts, so she feels like the one most comfortable moving in three-dimensions.

Also we have a bit of a precedent set for this with Maria, a fellow silver-eyed-warrior being the group's pilot in Volumes 6-8, so it could be fun to see Ruby follow in those footsteps. Not to mention there's a trope of ace-pilots having keen eyes, so Ruby's whole thing with her own Silver Eyes could symbolically play into that.

It also gives Ruby something to nice distinguish herself from Yang.

Finally I've always felt like if anyone on Team RWBY would be a mech-pilot, it would DEFINITELY be Ruby, so this is something of an offshoot of that.

Finally... I dunno, it just kind of fits Ruby, you know? Ruby pulling sick aerial maneuvers in an aircraft/spaceship/mecha, clearly having the time of her life...

...all while her teammates are holding on for dear life and/or using a barf-bag XD

Where Jaune Arc finds that not only can his semblance heal, it allows him to fuse with another Aura, both body and mind. At Atlas he uses this to his own destruction. Fusing with Cinder Fall as she was primed to slay Weiss. Jaune chooses to send the fused body off the bridge into the Ever After. Years pass for them, no longer Cinder nor Jaune, there became tales of the Wildfire Mage. Protective and angry, helpful and sarcastic. They were limitless constrictions.

RWBY found them, Jaune and Cinder still fused after years alone. It hurt to see them. Missing a leg, lost to something they wouldn't say. Replaced with maiden glass. Missing eye covered over. They do not recognize the women at first. Not answering to either Jaune or Cinder, only Wildfire. Its been too long.

Following the events of the fight vs CC and Neo, Wildfire is grievously wounded ending up in front of the blacksmith. Jaune and Cinder finally able to separate there remained a third. Wildfire, they had taken on a life of their own over the many years. Making sure they survived.

The Blacksmith give all of them another chance. However they wish. In the end, they chose themselves, even Wildfire.

thinking about the way sam’s behaviour changes when he’s possessed and during his addiction/relationship with ruby (which is analogous to possession), especially when dean isn’t around. he becomes aggressive and far more masculine. according to carol clover “female body almost always serves as a portal, susceptible to the infiltration of evil” and “portal possessed by a demonic influence often becomes increasingly masculine during this time, often to the point of toxic masculinity”. “toxic masculine behaviours are a sign of demonic possession, of the change that has taken place within the feminine portal due to the infernal invasion” (examples: regan of the exorcist (1973), linda of witchboard (1987) and arnie cunningham of christine (1983), who become “increasingly foulmouthed, hostile, aggressive - indeed, macho”)

The TA -- Joan(Jaune) Arc

Joan(Jaune) Arc was a bit of a tomboy, and was not happy that all her sisters were more "developed" than her.

However at 17, with no plans for life after school, her Mom and her Aunt decided she's at the right age to do some intern work. It was a rush between Tara her older sister's wife and her Aunt Glynda for whom could make the arrangements faster... Aunt Glynda won.

So Joan(Jaune) found herself at Beacon working as a Teaching Assistant for Professor Glynda Goodwitch, her aunt.

A little shy, and wholly opinionated. How does a civilian Joan(Jaune) handle being surrounded by super-powered teens, and navigate her way through some... self-inflicted awkward situations?

Maiden Raven and Hound Summer will take the Monsterfucker genre to a whole new level

Oh we can only hope XD

Though I will admit that I do think it's rather presumptive to assume that Grimm Summer will be just another 'Hound'. Rather, I imagine (hope) that Salem's Grimm Hybrids will each have their own unique forms. With Summer herself essentially being the mythical 'Humanoid Grimm' that the fandom has been theorizing about for years now.

That being said, if Summer is in fact our equivalent to the Witch King, I could also imagine her also having a monstrous, winged form as a reference to WK's Fel Beast (or maybe she just rides an unfrozen Kevin into battle).

So we could see Summer using her giant monster form to battle Raven, and when Raven is defeated, Ruby destroys Summer's monster form with a Silver Eye blast much like how Eowyn kills the Witch King's Fel Beast. Which likewise leads to Ruby (and Yang) fighting Grimm Summer, now fully unmasked and in human form, on foot.

Meaning we can still totally ship Maiden Raven with Grimm Summer in her monster form XD
