you’re so right for saying au silco could be the one who helps powder the most with her grief about vi. because i get the feeling vander loved her but couldn’t always understand her and was occupied with business and the older kids who could tag along with him, esp vi who he saw as his protege, and mylo and claggor were her family too but couldn’t connect with their adopted baby sister as much as they could each other or vi who they also looked up to like they did vander. so after vi’s gone mylo&claggor lean on each other and vander the most and vander isn’t in the best headspace to to know what to do about powder who’s a complete wreck. but we’ve seen silco always connected with her really well, they have a lot of similarities beyond just their initial synced trauma and abandonment issues and he would be in a good position to step in and get through to and help take care of this kid who lost her main person and doesn’t have anyone else she’s as close to. and with him reconciling with vander and needing to be around to deal with negotiations with piltover or however they get to the peaceful state zaun’s in later, they would be in close proximity so it makes sense they would form a bond similar to what they had in canon, just not fueled by vengeful anger. powder gets a parental figure who’s focused on her above the other older kids and his ambitions if zaun’s achieved early, which would be important to her with the way she is how she only feels prioritized if she’s need to be the most important thing in her loved one’s life.

and then maybe in turn she’s the first time silco has someone fully trusting and relying on him without any baggage and betrayal and lost eyes involved, and he still sees her as the embodiment of his idealistic dreams of the future like he did in canon, but with a more hopeful note to it since zaun already got its independence without much bloodshed so instead of fighting for the future now it’s time to build it and make it into something good. he’d be raising his daughter and his city in the present instead of weaponizing them for the goal of a possible future. and i think he’d see the potential in her to be the driving force of change and growth zaun needs.

&then of course she gets older, they’re still way too enmeshed in each other and don’t really grow apart the way they should because it’s not a normal healthy parent-child bond where he would just be her starting point to eventually seek independence from and she would just be his responsibility to raise into an adult and let go of, they’re the center point of each other’s lives and the only ones who really see each other. it would be practically inevitable for things to get Weird. goddd he’d be DYING of guilt. in canon they’d have the excuse of being isolated in their little bubble and deeply unhealthy and incapable of normal relationships so that would help him start to rationalize away his guilt, but in the au there’d be no such justifications.

and there’s potential for drama because you just know vander would go absolutely ballistic lmaooo

one of the best things about taboo relationships is the fallout of being discovered so BRING IT ONNNN, i love that DRAMA

1. milton, the mossy pohip

summary: the coliseum team - rosie, florence, and belvedere - spar with beastclans, and come up against a mossy pohip.

Rosie clacks her teeth, gnashes at the air, making that wretched sucking sound with her tongue against the back of them. Her nerves, her anticipation, and Florence is more than understanding, but the sounds grate at his nerves and if she carries on for much longer there'll be a friendly-fire tussle about it. Belvedere will watch, nonplussed, possibly calculating whether it'd be worth it to patch either one up afterwards - should there be any wounds at all, that is, which is unlikely despite the aggravation.

"Rosie."

She pauses, eyes wide as she tilts towards him. She blinks once, twice, thrice, in rapid succession - the absolute picture of innocence.

"My dearest..."

"Ye-es, sweet Flori?"

She teases him, rotten Tundie. He lunges at her with a snap at the air near her face, and she laughs, giggles, half-stepping back. Crowds in closer, as though he's about to nip at her face, then-- drags his tongue flat across her face. Rosie splutters and laughs again, trying to get away.

"You do that on purpose, dear."

"Oh, sometimes!" Her grin is as wide as a summer's day is long: unabashed.

"You two should get ready," comes in Belvedere's even tone, "I see a couple of Deer getting bored."

"A throuple of Deer," Rosie 'corrects'.

"... yes... of course."

Rosie hums, pleased with herself, leading the way, and the two larger dragons follow suit.

Wood Ear and White Rot Deer; Lilium and Petalmane Floron; Travelling Garden and Terra Tortoise; Rosaline and Buttercup Strangler; Fingi of Moonlight and Sage; Alstroemeria and Myosotis Foxes; Aspen Gall Dryad and Barkskin Watcher; Five-toed and Venomtooth Pilco; Frostbite and Sunbeam Dryard; Maned and Flora Cerdae; Palefoot and Ruffletail Tadhop; Grove Piper and Spotted Faun - all fought, all vicious, all for the sake of fun. Some were more willing to talk afterwards (but offered little in the way of contacting them again), others preferred to move on immediately post-spar.

And still, after a good long afternoon of sparring, Rosie still itched for another round. Belvedere was tending to a minor wound, and mulled it over, and Florence was in two minds about it: go home to rest, or finish with one last round, a flourish.

They agreed.

Such hubris granted them the audience of a Mossy Pohip.

"... Ah."

"Mm."

"..."

The Mossy Pohip grinned at them, lumbering closer to the coliseum clearing.

"Good evening, little hatchlings." The voice booms, low and bassy across the clearing, and he receives a muted chorus of 'good evening' in return. "Let us fight!"

Rosie nods, shaking, but still hoping for the best - whether they win or lose (and quite frankly, she's sure they'll lose), it should be fun.

The Pohip surged, a beast of such phenomenal power that it didn't matter if he was accurate or not, his attack still shook the ground and caused even Belvedere to tremble and waver. Rosie's Mana Bolt and Enfeeble was little use against him; both Florence and Belvedere's Scratching seemed to slide right off of the Pohip, barely giving him pause; Eliminate just about worked, but even then the Pohip never faltered. His jaws would come close, incisors large and crushing, as he'd sling a Mist Slash at either one of them, or cast Shroud to blind the two Arcane dragons, leaving Belvedere to flounder unassisted.

They lost, of course, with Belvedere being the last to collapse on his side, exhausted and on the verge of passing out; Florence was still clawing at the ground, despite being so winded, and Rosie had already lost consciousness, limp on the ground. The Guardian watched as the Pohip came closer, apparently wanting more from his winning.

"I must say, little hatchlings," he boomed again, only just causing Rosie to stir with a groan, "you all gave quite the fight, but I have won, and so must collect my prize."

Prize? Belvedere frowned; this was all for the sport of it, there was no prize.

"And I must say... I am rather... hungry."

Oh. Oh no. The Guardian struggles, manages to skitter backwards, only bearing both Florence and Rosie in half a mind, hoping the Pohip focuses on him rather than his wards (his friends), even when his heart is hammering away in a panicking hummingbird rhythm. He doesn't get far, too exhausted, and the Pohip too persistant even if he wasn't. His breath hitches as the Pohip gets closer, jaws wider again, teeth glistening with saliva, closer, closer, closer--

Then the Pohip pulls back, holding his head aloft and his mouth now mostly closed. Hm?

"But... I am a... vegetarian." Then the Pohip grins, and laughs, and it is as booming as his talking voice, so much that Rosie claps a paw over her ear, and it disturbs nearby birds from their resting places.

"A good fight from you all! What a good fight!"

He stays for a little while as the three dragons recuperate some, allowing Belvedere to rest against him. Tells them his name is Milton, and it's more than even the friendliest of previous sparring 'enemies' had given, so they lean into idle chatter for an hour: chatter about preferred climes; talk of ideal holiday destinations; favourite vegetables and fruit; Milton mentions a crush on a Flowering Pohip called Florentina.

When the three are able to stand without wobbling, Milton bids them a goodnight, and they the same to him. On the way home, they consider whether or not to fib a little - say they won every fight, yes even against a Pohip. Rosie decides against it, deciding a little humility for one's hubris - her own, no-one else's (although Florence would call it arrogance) - would be worth it.

Nueva ley sobre docentes genera preocupación en magisterio de Puno

La reciente promulgación de la Ley 32242 modifica la Ley de Reforma Magisterial al establecer la separación definitiva del servicio educativo para docentes y personal administrativo que reciban condenas judiciales, sean estas efectivas o suspendidas. Esta medida, publicada en El Peruano, impacta directamente en la estabilidad laboral del sector educativo tanto público como privado.

El alcance de la norma incluye causales específicas de destitución como el maltrato a estudiantes, asistir en estado etílico a las instituciones educativas, promover la participación de alumnos en manifestaciones políticas y casos de agresión sexual. La aplicación de estas medidas será automática y permanente una vez que exista una sentencia judicial.

Los representantes del magisterio en Puno, a través de Alexander Pilco, manifiestan inquietud por el carácter inflexible de la norma y sus posibles efectos en la labor sindical. Los maestros cuestionan la proporcionalidad de las sanciones y comparan la severidad de estas medidas con el tratamiento que reciben casos de corrupción en otras esferas del Estado.

El gremio docente ha anunciado que incluirá este tema en su pliego de reclamos y prepara acciones legales para buscar la modificación de la ley. Los educadores sostienen que la normativa podría utilizarse como instrumento de presión contra el derecho a la protesta y la actividad sindical del magisterio.

ugh just there could be something so sweet about peacetime au jilco still being the weird codependent mirrors of each other we know and love, but also making each other better instead of becoming and staying monsters that live and breathe and wear their trauma. tbf i do prefer them as the deranged freaks they were in canon but it’s nice to think about how soft they could be. that au is perfectly set up to give them a space where they could have a happy ending

SO REAL, I LOVE MY FREAKS!!!!!! and they do have their intimate moments (ughhhhhh baptizing scene save me) but they would be sugary in the peacetime au, in comparison

like????? silco actually letting something slip about her pretty blue eyes, or powder getting weirdly jealous bc her dad keeps needing to talk to silco when she wants to tell him about this cool new discovery she made!!!! goddamn it, dad

i reeeeeally would love for silco to encourage her to grow her hair, not like directly say it but she loses track of her hair with the projects she's starting by herself with his encouragement and he notices the length, he resists the awkward temptation of brushing his fingers through when they are talking but oh, there's this one time he finds her napping and he lets himself feel how silky, compare the vibrant blue to the pale of his skin, sometimes she's too focused on her discoveries to style her hair and with it almost falling down her shoulders.... oh, if only he knew his touch brought her from the land of dreams but she didn't dare move, felt... something good about it, his appreciative humming and soft touch, so light, it felt... different than anything she ever had.

THEY WILL NEVER NOT BE DESPERATE FOR APPRECIATION!!!! FOR FEELING WANTED!!!! sure silco is part of the family now, but it will never be the same as before with him and vander, he will always feel either self-conscious or not safe to be vulnerable, and powder will never be Understood by vander, she and silco are much more similar!!!! powder needs constant reassurance and silco needs someone to pour his love onto, someone to spark his interest and keep him out of whatever funk he puts himself in.

ill never give up on them, they are perfect for each other, whatever dynamics there are.
