pairing: Pierre Gasly x reader

summary: Pierre comes home to his girlfriend and newborn daughter after a long triple header.

The apartment was quiet, yet somehow felt homely as Pierre made his way into the home that he shared with you, and now with your latest edition; your daughter, Aurelie. You had given birth to her 3 weeks before the end of the season, and with Pierre almost halfway across the world in Las Vegas, you were terrified that he would miss the birth of your first born daughter. However, luckily, Jack had been on standby and ready to jump in should Pierre had to leave quickly to get on the first flight home to Milan.

He had gotten there just in time for you to start pushing, and see the birth of his daughter. It had been 3 weeks, and now the season had finally wrapped up and Pierre could spend time with you and your daughter. Locking the door behind him, he kicked his shoes off and placed them beside yours, leaving his backpack on top of his suitcase, all he wanted at this point was to be in bed with you and your daughter. However, as he made his way into your shared bedroom, he found you and Aurelie already asleep, with your daughter asleep on top of your chest.

"Shhh," You were half asleep, subconsciously running your hand up and down your daughter's small back to try and soothe her. You had just gotten her to sleep, and you hoped that your boyfriend's often unintentionally loud nature wouldn't wake her. "I just got her to fall asleep, please do not wake her up." You whispered, looking up at Pierre with pleading eyes. He smiled at  you sadly, knowing that tonight the two of you wouldn't be sharing a bed.

Yet he understood. You had basically been alone with your newborn daughter for the past 3 weeks, dealing with her on your own without him there had to have been tiring, so he could imagine that you were wanting as full a nights sleep as possible. He smiled as he nodded, bending over so he could press a kiss to your lips, hoping to not be too destructive as to wake up your sleeping baby. 

"Of course, Cherie, I will sleep on the couch for tonight," He placed his large hand on Aurelie's small back, placing it over the top of yours. "I can take the bedside cot and I can get up with her if she wakes up." He offered you, trying his best to relieve you in some way.

"Are you sure? You're just coming off of a long triple header, Pierre," You countered, sighing as he waved you off, offering to take your sleeping daughter from your arms and into his. "If you're sure." You carefully sat up so's not to disturb Aurelie, gently placing her into her father's arms. Thankfully, she settled into Pierre's hold and remained asleep. "'M sorry that the place is such a mess too, I've just been trying so hard to keep her settled and-"

"Please don't worry about it, amour, we can worry about that together tomorrow. You've done so much by carrying and bringing our daughter into the world, that is enough for me," He smiled at you softly, holding your sleeping daughter with on arm and quietly dragging the cot out to the living room, placing Aurelie into it before quickly heading back to your bedroom. "I love you so much, Y/N." He said quietly, noticing that you were very quickly falling asleep.

"I love you too, Pierre," You told him sleepily, dozing off as he sat beside you, holding your hand. "I'm so glad that you're home."  You mumbled, a sleepy smile gracing your features as you fell asleep. He smiled as he kissed your cheek, quickly grabbing his pyjama bottoms as he changed quickly before Aurelie woke up and needed tended to.

Making his way out to the living room, he smiled, the glow of the moon cast a shadow of your small daughter's face, her face that was so similar to yours. If anyone asked him, he would say that you and Aurelie were the most beautiful girls he had ever seen - His two beautiful girls. He settled on the sofa, smiling as he reached out his hand to hold onto his daughters, her small hand wrapping around one of his fingers.

Even though he was exhausted from 3 weeks of constant travel and racing, being at home with the two of you, and he was sleeping on the couch, it all felt worth it. Even if it meant that he was waking up hours after he'd fallen asleep to feed Aurelie during the night.

You were both worth it.

Charles

“Well, well, well-” you started with a tone of sarcasm, the panicked look on Charles’ face turning to one of annoyance.

“Y/n…” he tried to reason with you but the blaring of the fire alarm drowned his voice.

Leo, who rested in your hands, who was panicking along with you when the alarm began, was now glaring at your boyfriend and his father with the same unimpressed glare that you had fixed on him.

“Don’t I remember telling you not to cook?” You cocked a brow, resting the dog on your hip like he was a human child. The whole scene would have been hilarious if it wasn’t blanketed in smoke.

Atleast the man in front of you had the decency to look apologetic, sheepishly mumbling out an apology, kissing you to hide his guilt, “can you order in, belle? I’ll clean up!”

You could only accept the offer, needing to get a now sneezing Leo out of the kitchen.

You had just finished placing the order, laying on the couch, when Charles walked in, hint of guilt still on his face, “Did you order yet, y/n? I’ll get my card-”

“I already paid,” you answered, thinking it would be a big deal, but the look on Charles’ face said otherwise.

“What? Why? Are you still mad at me?” He asked, worried and hyper.

“What- no, of course not! My information was already in my phone, Charlie.” You giggled, watching his face go through the five stages of grief.

He laid on top of you, breath tickling your neck, “well, I’m paying you back,” you had begun to refuse but Charles wouldn’t give in, “non, don’t even.” He ended the conversation.

You could only help but laugh, pulling him closer to you, causing Leo to yip in jealousy, and Charles to react before you could.

“Shut up, Leo.”

Lewis

You and Lewis didn’t often dine in, choosing to cook instead, but it had been a lazy night and neither of you were in the mood to cook or clean.

You had suggested a restaurant for delivery and Lewis had agreed, so you’d gone and placed the order. Lewis had just come back with his card when you furrowed your brows in confusion.

“What?” You asked, confused. Lewis was more confused than you were.

“Don’t you need to pay?” He asked, making you smile.

“I already paid, babe, had my info on the app.” You replied nonchalantly, but the answer didn’t seem to satisfy him.

He had an indecipherable look on his face, “since when do you pay?” He added making you scoff.

“Wha- I pay! Lew, what the hell?” You tried to defend yourself.

He playfully rolled his eyes while taking your phone, “Babe, no offence, you haven’t paid or opened a door a single day since we started dating,”, he typed for a few seconds before returning your phone to you, “there, now it’s my information,” he smiled, proud of himself.

“Just so you know I’m going on a shopping spree now,” you walked off, kissing him with a smirk on your lips, the smile on his falling instantly.

Lando

Both of you had been watching tv, the show forgotten as background noise. Somehow grey’s anatomy had spiralled into making out on the sofa like horny teenagers finally getting the house alone.

Lando pulled away, breathless, and you rested your head against his shoulder, his hand coming up to brush your hair.

“You know what would make this moment even more perfect?” He asked out, and you hummed to get him to answer.

“Spring rolls.” He answered dreamily.

You sat up, eyes blown in anger, “WHAT? Is that what you’re thinking about right now, Lando? What the hell-”

He looked at you with pleading eyes, “Pleeaaseeee, y/n?”

You huffed and rolled your eyes, much to Lando’s joy, “fine, but I’m telling Jon ur cheating-”

The look on his face was enough to vindicate you, giggling to yourself as you placed the order.

You kept your phone down, going back to the show, when Lando poked your side, looking down at you in confusion.

“Don’t you need me to pay?” He asked and you mocked anger, pushing off him to sit up.

“Need you to pay? Lando, what do you think of me? I have a job you know!” You could see him try to back peddle when you couldn’t take it anymore, a smile cracking on your lips.

“Oh you muppet, you scared me, thought u was gonna have to sleep on the sofa tonight!” He laughed pulling you back into him.

He stretched doing something out of your sight, the next moment your phone dinged, thinking it was the delivery you picked it to check but noticed a credit of 100 pounds to your account.

“LANDO-”

Oscar

There were only a few things Oscar loved more than sleep. Two of those being you and-

“Tim tams!” He whispered, groaning as he put down the bags of groceries, “we forgot the freaking tim tams.” He said in genuine despair, making you chuckle.

He’d begun whispering sad monologues about the sweet treats to himself, when you placed the order for them. Twenty minutes later when the last of the groceries were put in their place, the bell rang and you motioned for him to open the door.

“Babe! Did you order these?” He said with joy in voice, the few moments his collected nature melted away to reveal what he truly felt.

He turned to the delivery guy, “how much do I owe ya, mate?” He asked, surprised to see the man say it had already been paid for.

“You paid for these?”

“Yea my phone had my card in it silly,” you took the packet from his hands, placing it in a drawer.

“What? Why? Since when do you pay?” He asked making you raise you brow at him, “I mean- not like, I’m getting you ice cream!” He panicked, placing an order on his phone, making you laugh as you followed him out the kitchen.

George

“I’m gonna get the twenty piece,” you said out loud, placing an order, “you want something?” You asked the blonde next to you.

“Nope,” came the answer so you accepted the terms, paying for your food.

“Ugh I have to wait for thirty minutes, the fries are gonna be so soggy,” you complained, stopping George in his tracks, his wallet opened in his hands.

“Huh?” He questioned, looking at you weird.

You still hadn’t looked up, “yea thirty minutes is wayyy too long, could’ve just gone myself-”

“No like my cards here?” He continued.

That’s when you looked up, to see his confused face, card in hand, “Yea ofcourse I paid, what do you mean?” You laughed.

“Love, I always pay, you never have to pay when I’m there!” He argued genuinely concerned.

“Aww babe, it’s okay! It was faster this way,” you shrugged, doing nothing to change George’s mind.

“Nuh uh, I’m going to Apple Pay you, how much is a twenty peice? Thirty pounds?” He immediately tapped on his phone, making you laugh, folding in half.

“Baby, no!”

Kimi

“What. Is. This?” You threw your pencil down, groaning into your palms. Kimi sitting besides you wasn’t doing any better, cursing the paper in Italian hoping it’d have the decency to solve itself.

“Let’s call George, he’ll know what to do, yes?” You asked, holding your head in your hands.

“non so cosa fare!” Came his reply, his face scrunched in confusion and irritation, “Non capisco questo- co-cosa è questo?” The pushed the paper away and turned to you with a serious look in his eyes. “Tell mama I’m dropping out and jumping on the track.”

You would have reacted but your head was dizzy, “I mean why do we even need algebra, also you can’t do that your mother would kill Toto… and George,” you said as he slumped against you.

“We need food,” he muttered against your shoulder, making you giggle and lean your head against his.

“Italian?” You asked joking.

“Your favourite, no?” He replied, smirking and nudging you, making you push back, hiding your growing blush.

“Shut up or you’re not getting pizza.” You ordered and paid.

“You did the order?” Kimi asked making you hum, “you paid? Amore, I would have paid!” He jumped up. You didn’t know why he was taking it so seriously. “Mama will kill me if I let you pay. I’m a gentleman!” He claimed, cheeks puffing up.

You couldn’t help but laugh, “you’re eighteen and you can’t solve your math problems-”

“Shut up- I pay for next one!” And you couldn’t argue with the adorable boy in front you.

Pierre

“For the last time Y/n, we are NOT getting sushi AGAIN!” He yelled from across the table. It wasn’t your fault the sushi place Yuki introduced you to was amazing and so close your apartment.

“You’re acting like Lando now,” you retorted laughing at his offended face.

“Ay don’t say that! You’re my girlfriend you can’t be mean to me,” he pouted.

“Fine, we can get Chinese then,” he smirked knowing he’d complain and you were right as he muttered something about loving you and god testing him in French under his breath.

“It’ll be here soon, the sushi would have been faster though, just saying,” you announced.

“You don’t have to pay?” He asked confused with his card in his hand.

“What no of course I have to pay! I just paid-”

“Why would you pay! You’re insulting me, amour, you should never have to pay!” He insisted making you melt.

“Aww Pierre, it’s okay!”

“Non, I’m paying you back!”

“Pierre!”

Jack

“I’m getting something to eat, do you want anything?” You asked jack, who nodded no. You placed the order, waiting for it to reach.

Does Pierre regret turning Yuki?

Yes. Of course he does. 

The moment is silent.  Once Yuki collapses on the floor, he lays next to his teammate, and thinks about what he has done. The last noise he actually heard was the last choking breath Yuki took as the process completed.  He sighs.

This vampire thing is becoming a nuisance. The first regret was when Pierre himself turned into a vampire, letting Daniil do it.  Despite Daniil’s warnings, he thought he would be fine. He would be different. He’d become a vampire, Red Bull would promote him, he’d see success, and the itching feeling of going against God would go away. 

How wrong he was. Becoming a vampire and losing his seat at Red Bull feels almost like a divine punishment.  It’s too late to ask for forgiveness. He thinks. 

Now, he lays on the floor next to Yuki.  He did a sloppy job.  He can hear Yuki’s body convulsing, conflicted with the vampire poison and feels a wet sensation touch his hair. He looks up, noticing the wound has bled out more than he anticipated. He shudders.  

The impulsiveness of biting Yuki seemed like a bad idea on both ends.  Pierre can’t get the image of Yuki just accepting Franz’s word of becoming a vampire just like that out of his head.  He should’ve at least told him that becoming a vampire won’t guarantee him the approval from the dark figureheads at Red Bull.  He takes off his cross necklace and puts it between them, waiting for Yuki to wake up so he can comfort him through the new changes.

Pierre hopes that Yuki won’t regret turning for the sake of his career. 

He also hopes no consequences come from turning Yuki so soon.

based off an anon message that the f1 drivers, specifically pierre and lando in monaco watching tennis but not sitting near each other was giving: “The Better Series” Pierre bringing y/n along as his plus one and her and lando just briefly acknowledging each other from across the court

word count: 1.7k (this is not proofread i wrote this so fast)

Pierre reached for your hand as you walked up the steps to the vip stands. Charles was waiting for the two of you next to the row of chairs and he flashed you both a smile.

"I didn't know you liked tennis," Charles said, stepping forward to pull you in for a hug.

"I don't," you laughed, dropping your sunglasses to rest on the bridge of your nose. You glanced at Pierre, "I was practically dragged here."

"Is that why you spent two hours on your hair and make up? Because you didn't want to come?" Pierre teased, pressing a kiss to the side of your head.

You placed your hand against his chest as his arm moved around your waist to hold you close to his side. It took everything you had to not tilt your chin up to kiss him, but Pierre had told you that there would be dozens of cameras around.

Your relationship was by no means a secret, but there was still a line you didn't like to cross when it came to PDA.

"Come on, let's sit," Pierre led the way, finding your seats easily.

There were perks to dating a Formula 1 driver. You may not have been a fan of tennis, but you could appreciate the good view of the match. There was no one in front of you, you had plenty of leg room and without even asking, one of the employees working brought you and Pierre each a bottle of sparkling water.

Pierre rested his hand on your knee, rubbing his thumb aimlessly over your exposed skin as he fell into a conversation with Charles.

You tried to pay attention to the match, but you kept having to lean towards Pierre and ask to him to explain what was going on or what the call meant. Pierre didn't mind helping you out though, he sort of figured that bringing you along would come with a lot of questions.

Pierre loved bringing you everywhere. Any sporting events, any dinners, any media requirements, he made sure to do whatever he could so that his invite was extended to you.

He always joked about you quitting your job so you could travel with him more, but they weren't actually jokes and you both knew that.

Since you started dating, you managed to split your time pretty evenly between your career and spending time with Pierre over his winter break but he somehow managed to convince you to take an extended leave that lined up with his first break of the season. Him having four weeks off in April wasn't expected and you really had no reason as to why you couldn't take time off.

So you went to Milan with him and then Paris and now you were in Monaco.

It was definitely nice to see Charles, it had been a while since you had caught up with him. George and Carmen were also somewhere watching the match, you made a mental note to try and meet up with them later.

As far as you were concerned, none of the other drivers were present but when you opened up your phone and saw that Lando's instagram story was the first one highlighted, you clicked it.

And that's when you found out he was watching the tennis match too.

You looked up from your screen and started to scan the audience that was across from you. When no one sitting down looked like Lando, you peered to your left and right, trying to see if you could spot the Brit.

"What's up?" Pierre asked, squeezing your leg. He noticed your sudden interest, not in the sport, but in trying to find something, or someone.

You weren't going to lie to him. Pierre and you had a very honest relationship, there were no secrets.

"Lando's here," you said.

Pierre nodded. His jaw tightened momentarily, but not enough to cause concern. You hadn't spoken to Lando face to face since he visited you at your place of work. You had seen him in the paddock when you attended the first race of the season, but you weren't able to go to the other ones so there was no opportunity to connect.

You logged into Twitch once over the winter break and watched one of his streams. You left a comment, one that went unnoticed by Lando, but when his viewers recognized your username in the chat, they started springing a bunch of questions on him.

And Lando had a really bad habit of reading the chat out loud.

"...what's up with you and Y/N..." Lando muttered and then smiled to himself as he leaned back in the chair. "Yeah we're friends, that's all. She'll always be one of my biggest supporters, dont worry."

It wasn’t a lie, but it wasn’t the whole truth either. But his fans didn’t need any more information than that. You would always support Lando, you still considered him a friend, you were just hovering in this area of uncertainty.

At that point, Max, who had been hovering over his shoulder, felt it was smart to chime in, "Yeah she'll just be wearing pink now instead of orange."

Lando elbowed his side, "She never wore orange anyway. It wasn't her colour."

And you don't know why you did this, but you felt the need to share your two cents and you typed in the chat, "It's not your colour either. It washes you out."

His viewers all loved that one. Lando must have seen the comment too, or at least the hundreds of responses to it, because he rolled his eyes and just tried to change the topic but with Max laughing in the background it wasn't all that easy to segue into something else.

There was no malice, though. No hatred, no anger. You were on good terms, even if you hadn't spoken or sent any texts over the last few months.

But now you were in the same vicinity and it wasn't a race weekend.

Did you want to talk to him?

Pierre had the same question for you, "Did you want to go say hi?"

"I don't even know where he is," you shrugged, but that wasn't the answer he was expecting, or hoping for.

"That's not what I asked."

You placed your hand overtop of Pierre's and gave it a squeeze, "Let's just watch the match, yeah?"

And you both did, for a while. Both of you pretending that you weren't subtly looking for the British driver in the stands.

Only Pierre didn't find Lando first. You did.

And it was on complete accident.

At the end of one of the sets, a young fan approached Charles from the right and naturally both you and Pierre turned your heads to watch the adorable interaction.

And that's when you saw Lando. Just a few metres down. Sitting in the same section as you but at the complete opposite end and a few rows up.

You could have pretended you didn't see him if he wasn't looking your way, but his eyes found yours in a heartbeat. He was wearing a light pink shirt that looked good against his tan skin. He was sitting with Max who was too engrossed with his phone. And you had officially been staring for too long.

Pierre glanced at you and then followed your line of sight up and over his shoulder. When he spotted Lando, Pierre gave him a friendly wave, mostly because it would look back on all of you if any rumours of bad blood resurfaced.

Lando waved back with two fingers, clearly directing it at Pierre because you hadn't done anything since seeing him. It wasn't until Lando looked forwards again did Pierre squeeze your leg, pulling your attention to him.

"You can say hi to him," Pierre told you. He didn't need to give you permission, he knew you would have gotten up and said hi if you wanted to. His words were more of a reminder. Lando was one of your oldest friends, it was almost strange that you hadn't said anything.

"Maybe later," you smiled. "Set's about to start."

"Oh now you care about tennis," Pierre smirked leaning in to kiss the side of your head. You tilted your head towards him and rested it on his shoulder for a minute as you returned to watching the game.

But you couldn't focus for long. You straightened up and glanced over your shoulder, hoping to see Lando again, which you did. He hadn't gone anywhere.

Pierre didn't have to say a word. He just pulled his hand off of your leg and rested it in his lap, taking away the only mental barrier keeping you from seeing Lando.

He didn't want to keep you from talking to him. He wasn't going to stop you either. It wasn't something he would have liked to see, but he loved you. He trusted you. He knew you didn't have those feelings for him anymore.

You loved Pierre. So much.

But that didn't mean you ready to open up the door to a friendship with Lando just yet.

So you settled on giving Lando a gentle smile. Something that would get the message across that you weren't ignoring him, you were acknowledging him, but you still needed time.

Lando respected that and he smiled back. He noticed that your smile didn't quite reach your eyes but there was a good chance his didn't either. It was clear there was a lot that was unsaid between you, and would remain unsaid, and Lando just had to accept that.

You and Pierre looked good together.

As you dropped your head to his shoulder, Lando told himself not to think about how you used to do that with him if you were ever watching a movie. You nudged your knee against Pierre's before you asked a question, something else you would do with Lando if you were confused about what was in front of you.

And then you reached for Pierre's hand.

While you had grabbed Lando's hand on multiple occasions, he had never brought your intertwined fingers up to his lips to kiss your knuckles like Pierre was doing now. A new kind of smile spread across your face as Pierre rested your connected hands in his lap, a smile that Lando didn't ever see, or if he did, didn't recognize what it was at the time.

Pierre made you happy. Ridiculously happy. Lando knew that he would never have been able to make you that happy.

But he kept glancing your way throughout the rest of the tennis match, waiting, hoping that you would look up at him again.

Only you never did. You didn't need to.

bro if this is kinda sad im sorry but like we all know their relationship ended with some uncertainty so like there is no happy platonic ending for them, not yet at least. i just wanted to write this bc it shows growth in this (fictional) friendship. its not over, it'll never be completely over but maybe i just have to write another blurb about them actually talking again for the first time
