Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350F 175C. In a food processor, combine the flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Add the cold cubed butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add the vanilla extract and continue to pulse until the dough starts to come together. Turn out the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead it a few times until smooth. Press the dough into a tart pan or pie dish, making sure to evenly cover the bottom and sides. Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork to prevent it from puffing up while baking. Place the crust in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-18 minutes, or until it turns golden around the edges. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before filling as desired.
