Thinking about what my next cosplay should be... this time I will NOT be con crunching 3 cosplays lmao I'll probably re-wear Nico and Angel Devil, and will probably bring Tanaka as a back-up/comfy clothes

I'm really considering Kouha, but I'd want to wear skin tone leggings bc I refuse to shave my leg hair lol

If I BUY the costume I can still enter the cosplay contest at Corecon in May, but honestly I prefer making my cosplays. It just feels... lame? to buy them? plus the quality is usually not up to my standards + I want to continue improving my costuming skills. IDK if I could make a cosplay in...7? months? I made Nico in 7 months, but it was during my least-busy time of the year!

What other characters could I do? Any suggestions? I've considered Henry from Fire Emblem, but that's a Big Project. I've also considered Lief from Deltora Quest... hmm...

Core Con's theme is half-oween (halfway to Halloween) so Halloween!Henry would be soooo cool but id k where to start with that 😭

quite literally only has eyes for you

he doesn’t really *intend* to do this, but it is so difficult for him to focus on anyone else if he has *you* there with him

everyone will always complain when they hangout with just you two bc they will always end up feeling like a third wheel :skull: 

even if you try to tease him for literally adoring you 24/7 he wouldn’t even be flustered or embarrassed. he would just nod and smile in agreeance U_U

he’ll always go out of his way to compliment you too, telling you how cute you look or how good you are at doing something. he gets a little shy every time you compliment him, but he always recovers by turning the praise back to you

even though he isn’t the best texter, i imagine he would put in extra effort to keep you updated throughout the day-- especially if it's hard to spend a lot of time together in person

you're just going about your day at school/work and you hear a notification on your phone... it's leehan sending you like 10 different angles of the new friends he got for his fish tank

or it's one of his selfies that are either 1) blurry, 2) crop out like 80% of his face, 3) at an unnatural selfie angle, or 4) all of the above. regardless, he's still your handsome boyfriend & looks amazing in every pic he sends

unironically i think he would be a DRY texter LMFAO but the way he communicates is kind of endearing. rather than sending messages, he def has a concerningly large album of reaction pics he uses for every possible situation (including ones he made himself using pics of you & the members)

dates with him are SO fun.

again, he doesn't really care too much about what you two do as long as he gets to spend time together... he's just down to try Anything and Everything so you guys never really run out of things to do together

being so eager to try new activities, i can 100% see him suggesting the most obscure data ideas & being so genuinely excited to do it no matter how odd it may seem given the context

cause Boy wdym you think fishing in a river at 12am is a fun idea for a date... it’s not necessarily like you were going to say no .... but also… this isn’t a common date activity, right?

i think he loves staying in with you the most….. sleepover!!! :3

especially after you both had tiring days; spending a night in with each other never fails to recharge you both!

ordering any food you want (he isn’t planning on eating much, so he’d rather get something you’re craving) ((after a couple bites he sits back and watches you eat w/ the biggest grin on his face))

but i think the absolute BEST part of the night is when the two of you are side by side at the bathroom counter doing a Twelve Step Skincare Routine that leehan made himself

and you’re giggling the whole time bc he takes his skincare SERIOUSLY. (that one mf who don’t play about his skincare bye)

i think he’d be super attentive, but silently though

you’d never know he’s constantly keeping track of your reactions to certain things, your different routines, your food preferences, the types of clothes you like

Ok in theory it /sounds/ creepy but he just puts in the effort to observe the way you like to do things so he can help you whenever you need it

IMAGINE you’re running late & you can’t find your phone /again/ and you’re lowkey freaking out because you Need To Leave Now but leehan just steadies you and hands you your phone

and ur kind of in awe ??? i've been looking for this for ten minutes now... How Do you have this …?

he just shrugs and explains “you always leave it underneath the blanket when you make the bed so i figured it might be there again" and motions for you to hurry before you’re late

or maybe you’re feeling under the weather & you ask him to make you a hot drink to help soothe your throat and he comes back with a mug of tea made EXACTLY how you make it for yourself

you're pleasantly surprised upon taking your first sip because …you don’t recall ever telling him how you like your tea? 

then he's sitting there with stars in his eyes and saying “i made it properly, right? :3” (clearly very proud of himself bc he remembered how you like it)

doesn't seem like the type to be too extra when it comes to PDA. if anything, he prefers small and/or secret interactions in public (it feels more intimate if only you guys know what's happening)

head pats. that’s it. he thinks the way you literally melt whenever he pats your head is the most endearing thing ever, so he'll save it /specifically/ when you're out w/ a group of people because he loves seeing you so flustered afterwards

keeping a hand on the small of your back or resting his arm on the back of your chair when you're sitting next to each other

holding your hand in his under the table, giving it a gentle squeeze as the two of you continue to talk with the others at the table

at the end of the day... he just loves you so dearly & couldn't be happier knowing that he can call you his, and you can call him yours :,)

in all seriousness, dragon age being almost officially dead to me is, like, whatever. i'm used to hanging out in dead fandoms because i'm usually extremely late to the party so i think i'll manage. i was excited for veilguard but even if it was bad bad for me (which it wasn't. i have my problems with it but they didn't ruin the franchise for me) i would also manage because dragon age to me always was extremely flawed but had an enormous potential for fan content. at some point i started to treat it like my favourite fantasy playground where i can smash pre-existing barbie dolls with the ones i made myself. all my barbie dolls are in place and i still can do whatever i want (and i plan to continue to do so) and, i guess, i shouldn't be upset.

i am upset, however. for all the devs affected by laid-offs, but especially the writers. these people created dragon age as we know it, and it's been a messy series in every aspect, including the writing, it's been insensitive at times, at times dumb and undercooked, but there was always an immense amount of potential that's been inspiring fans for years, and also a feeling that all, or at least the most of it was created with genuine passion. and realizing that there is no one left from the team that made dragon age what it is, every installment of it, is just. genuinely sad. and it's not a theseus ship dilemma, because it's not like they were slowly replaced one by one. they were just fired. this ship is destined to sink, it's falling apart in front of our eyes because neither ea nor bioware cares about writing. not many companies do nowadays, to be honest. and it's kinda devastating. grifters will celebrate that like a "downfall of woke slop", but they'll get only more ai slop instead, lol, because good writing doesn't guarantee good sells. best selling games of 2024 are shooters and sports games. and elden ring which is a nice exception, but an exception nevertheless.

i don't think mass effect will save bioware at this point. even if it's an absolute banger it still has to meet ea's expectations. which are unrealistic, to say the least. also people who wrote characters like mordin, tali, legion, thane, garrus and liara are all gone. either they left themselves or were laid off. like, if you want "old bioware magic" to return, there is none. the same people who wrote your favourite characters and storylines in da/me were also working on veilguard. i may be wrong, but somehow i think they didn't all lose their ability to write here because they went woke or whatever. i think the inconsistent quality of datv writing that can only be described as 'we're so back/it's so over' pic is a consequence of multiple rewrites, constant director changes and shitty decisions, both internal and coming from bioware/ea higher-ups. i also may be wrong, but it wouldn't be such a big problem if writing wasn't at the bottom of priority list.

if i recall correctly, when gaider left willingly, he highlighted that bioware didn't treat its writers seriously at that point. and i'd say that tracks. like, from countless veilguard rewrites and scrapped ideas to lay-offs of every single studio veteran.

idk what else there is to say. i'll cheer for every studio that value its writers and i hope all ex-bioware devs will be able to do something new and exciting. i also doubt bioware is the last studio that will experience such a decline in the years to come. the narrative of this shitshow will also be twisted into 'go woke go broke' and it already slightly draws me insane. fuck ea fuck bioware fuck grifters. also i beg everyone to start appreciating writing as a craft because otherwise it's only going to get worse!

I'm very very excited for my surgery (it's my second gender affirming surgery but this one is more significant to me since it'll be top and bottom surgery) and I'm obviously counting the days until it and I thought some people might be interested in my trans journey 🏳️‍⚧️ So see part 6 below the cut.

Me and my partner got back together and got a place together and we still live in this apartment together 🥰 I also worked at worked at a local amusement park over the summer that had some fun but mostly was horrible due to angry customers that kept misgendering me and kids making fun of me 🙃 But also I'll say I had one of my most euphoric moment when this little girl pointed to her winged eyeliner and said "you're just like me!" Bc I also had winged eyeliner at the time 🥰

I remember reaching 10k followers and thinking "ok I have enough of a following to try to make money off this." It's what a lot of egirls on there did and as I stated above, I hated my job. I thought briefly about streaming and YouTube but I don't really have the personality for streaming and was too self-conscious of my voice to do YouTube. And there were a lot of sex workers on twitter that I knew, followed, and admired. And there was quite the market for trans sexual content. Also I wanted to basically be paid to look pretty all day 🤷‍♀️ So, I made a OnlyFans account and started promoting it.

And I quickly got shadow banned for it 😂 And frankly, I wasn't really meant for sex work. I'm not really a sexual person. I do enjoy sexual acts but doing them for money killed my drive for it. I made a few hundred dollars but I didn't make enough content for it to keep it up.

Also, the shadow banned revealed how unhealthy my relationship with Twitter was. My self worth would be highly dependent on how well my posts did that day (I was still posting pictures daily). And I was hypercritical of my picture quality and my physical features. And developed a bad habit of comparing myself to girls I considered prettier than me. And with the constant misgendering from work, I was at a big low 🥲

I consider Tumblr my last attempt with having a healthy relationship with social media. If this account goes away, I'll probably be done with Social Media 🤷‍♀️ I think I'm getting better at breaking those bad habits I developed on Twitter while still trying to enjoy the art of dressing up and taking selfies. But, I don't know if I'll ever have the drive for it like I did during my twitter days.

With my summer job ending and twitter as a way to make a living out of the window you may be concerned with how I recovered but I got really lucky and I'll go into detail on that tomorrow 😁

Trying to make a comeback...

Hey all! So I'm later than I hoped to be to try to make a return to Simblr. Honestly, I was a bit demoralized and stayed offline entirely for about two weeks after the election. (I guess Americans have to fuck around to find out that Fascism Bad. 🙄) Then I was a bit busy, and also...

I got two kittens! :D We were feeling OK with filling the spots of the two who had passed away in the last 1.5 years, so we went to the shelter and got these guys. So now we're back to four cats. These two are both boys because, honestly, I prefer boy cats. We've had them for about two weeks.

The orange-and-white one is Jamie and he's about 6.5 months old, and the black one (who's 100% black, not a speck of white on him) is Damien and he's about 3.5 months old. In the pic above they look the same size, but that's just a trick of the camera and their positions in the pic. In reality, Damien is a tiny little bean with tiny little feets who barely weighs 3lbs/1.4kg, while Jamie is an absolute unit of a chonk who already weighs 8lbs/3.6kg, is already bigger than one of our adult cats, and seems to get bigger every day. Not fat, but BIG. Solid. I think he's going to be huge, though hopefully not as huge as my 27lb/12.2kg Maine Coon, Puff. Puff would be displeased if he was no longer the biggest. LOL

Damien had a rough start in life and was found alone, very weak, not fully weaned, and infested with so many fleas that his mucous membranes were white, so his growth may be a little stunted. Which is fine. Now that he's flealess and mostly recovered, he's a ball of perpetual energy who goes, goes, goes until he suddenly collapses into sleep. These two get along really well with each other and the other two cats (because we/they completely failed at the recommended slow introduction), but they're still getting used to the dogs.

Also, Jamie has the sweetest huge puppy-dog eyes, for a cat:

I took these with my Kindle tablet, which is meant more for Zooming and does all right in bright light, as in the first pic, but doesn't have a flash so doesn't really do low light, as in the solo pic of Jamie. I had to edit that one a lot. LOL)

So yeah. I did start a new TS3 save last night. Just something simple with no complex rules to follow like all my other saves. LOL So hopefully I'll have some pics later and get back to my usual flaky posting schedule and hopefully get back to doing world overviews.

Well...unfortunately the poor unlucky scav that wandered into sun's can caught them at a very bad time. They had just lost contact with their messenger and their close friend they had been trying to help... Suns was not very happy about it.

As for Pebbles....I like to think Scav King was brave enough to enter his chamber.

Pebbs gave them the mark hoping they would tell their friends to leave, but.....

Sadly that didn't work out. He was also not in a good mood!

As for Moon....

Sadly, her first experiences with scavengers were very disappointing. They aren't much for conversation, and they don't like listening either. It's crushingly lonely when you don't have anyone to talk to.

But....

Eventually, some scavengers wandered in that just enjoyed listening to the sound of her voice and enjoying her company. She is very grateful for them...I like to think they have become good friends, even if they can't quite understand each other.

As for NSH....

They may have gotten into some....mischief.

But don't worry! They're just a silly prankster! A harmless jokester!

Just ignore any remnants of their failed experiments.

I like to think NSH would be very interested in the scavs. They'd probably think they're super entertaining, lol. Constantly sending the GC stupid scav pics.
