Meet Picasso, the dog with a twisted jaw, who, together with his brother Pablo, was left at a shelter and slated to be euthanised. The siblings were born to a backyard breeder, who managed to sell all the puppies from the litter, except for Picasso who has a very noticeable facial abnormality. After being surrendered to a shelter, Picasso soon got reunited with Pablo, as the family who bought his brother changed their mind about having a pooch. The brothers didn’t have much time left before being put to sleep… And that’s when Luvable Dog Rescue stepped in. “I just happened to ask [if they] had any unusual-looking or special needs dogs,” Liesl Wilhardt, executive director of Luvable Dog Rescue, told The Dodo. “[They] sent me Picasso’s shelter intake photo. He was curled in a dog bed, and looked very sad. His twisted face was startling, but he had soft and gentle eyes, and for me it was love at first sight!” Luvable will take both boys in and make sure they get adopted together after Picasso undergoes surgery to remove the teeth pushing into the roof of his mouth. @picassothewonkyandwacku 💔Tonight our hearts are breaking and I can barely write I’m crying so hard... the world lost Pudge tonight... @pudgethepit💔If you follow this amazing dog and his amazing mom and family you know how tragic his loss is...Pudge is a one in a million dog, the kind of dog you wish could live forever, the kind of dog we all wish we could know and love personally, the kind of dog who makes you smile and laugh every day, no matter how shitty things are everywhere else in the world...even though the only way i “knew” Pudge is though sharing stories and lives here on @instagrami loved that dog so much, this feels like i lost one of my own💔I cannot even imagine the pain and sadness his mom and family are feeling tonight... I know thousands of people are crying for Pudge right now...💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔(Pudge had a massive tumor around his spinal chord - it wasn’t discovered until his surgeon had opened him up, hoping to repair discs in his spine and then recovery - and instead they discovered an inoperable and untreatable tumor... a horrible shock...it could not be fixed...Pudge was euthanized because his pain was extreme and he could not have lived with the tumor...)💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔 I want you all to know Wombat is doing good tonight, I’ll post an update tomorrow.
