Okay so someone commented on this post saying it looked awful in game and I can't stand people who can't even bother to read the whole post/don't care to idk contact me about potential errors so here's a lil post to clear some things out;
I would NEVER release something that looks "very bad in game", kinda shitty at most but I don't share stuff that I wouldn't use or download myself because it's bad.
I don't edit my preview pictures and never did - I use gshade to give it that blue/purple-ish tone and add some sharpness, but quality wise that's how it looks in my game.
Everything is play tested so unless I state otherwise, things look as good in game as they do in my pics.
Lastly; when it comes to accessory clothing (or accessories in general) anything over 1k poly won't look great in game as ts3 a)can't handle such high poly meshes along with whatever piece of clothing your sim might already be wearing and b)textures basically overlap each other when it comes to accessories so the more accessories your sim has, the more blurry the textures of this jacket or whatever other mesh/es will be.
Anyway that sums it up - please read the entire post and if you're going to be shady have the balls to reply when I'm kindly explaining why things don't show up in your game like they do in mine 🥰
PLUSH Jacket - (another) conversion
Hear me out I love this jacket on ts4 and I know someone else already converted it to ts3, but every single link I could find is dead and I absolutely refuse to not have it on ts3 as well so I did it myself 😤
> 8k poly, 2k textures. - Found under accessories, both for females and males (;
> Has almost all swatches from the original, I tried to include my faves and some of the coloured ones, but again not all. But! Every swatch is recolorable (mostly so you can fix brightness to your likeness) and one of them is white, so that should allow you to make it whatever colour you wish (;
> note: it’s very likely to clip with, honestly, a lot of tops - I tried to fix it a dozen times but either caused more clipping or some bits simply refused to get fixed. However, I tested it with a few not-so-bulky tops, tank tops and EA’s shirtless tops and those looked good // also texture looks weird in the preview but has been fixed already hehe
> Obviously, mesh & texture credits go to @plushxsims - The original ts4 post can be found >here<

ASKS 16
haha remember in July when I said I was gonna answer stuff every month... yeah me neither 🙈🙈 anyways lots of stuff under the cut
Anonymous said: You should get along with other Simblrs and start a new cc group now that PTS is disbanded, your hairs and clothes are always amazing! :D
Firstly thank you! Most of the clothing in AxA is 99% ayoshi with me going in after and cleaning/adding some stuff. So I give him props for the clothes :P As far as a ‘new PTS’ style group idk, there are a lot of amazing creators on simblr but I think the reason PTS was such a special thing is because the bond they all had. I feel that when working on collabs with some of my really close friends (such as the one coming out this month with @dogsill and @ayoshi) because we have known each other for over 2 years now. A group of friends built only for collabing purposes would be more of a hassle than an enjoyment imo. <3
Anonymous said: HELLLOOOO! just curious bc why not but what is your favorite creation that you have made??
It varies every month to be honest lmao. If you asked me to pick a favorite hair from each month? Easy, always the last release of the month. But favorite hair ever? Awwww shucks 🤠 lmao I would say my Madison Hair is one of my favorite hair releases, I am planning to revamp it soon to work with my Mia ombre accessories and tidy the mesh up some.
Anonymous said: hello, when will this collection be free for public download please? /post/186706149526/patreon-08-19

Anonymous said: Hi I love your cc! I have almost all of it in my game and I love your tropical punch palette so much I was wondering if you would ever consider releasing the palette.
If I ever make an ombre accessory tutorial video I will release a set of actions for the palette. If you wanna use the palette feel free to grab the hex codes from S4S.

Anonymous said: Are you going to upload the hair you made on your livestream? I literally love your work and am a Patreon subscriber!!!
Hey! The hair will be in my October voting (I think) and if it wins, release will be November. If it doesn’t win I will put it in November voting and so forth til it wins. Also thank you for watching the stream and supporting me on Patreon
Anonymous said: hello!! i just wanted to see if knew is there’s anyway i can save my cc and save files somehow where i can download them again if my computer breaks so i don’t have to download it all again.?
zip your Sims 4 folder and upload it to Google Drive/SimsFileShare/OneDrive. Then when you install Sims 4 again you just replace the folder made in Electronic Arts in your Documents.

Utd vs Reading 02/02/2020
Or, as @danieljamesmufc so eloquently put it, ‘The Battle of The Baes’ (Baes in question obviously being Amy Turner and Angharad James)
Anywho, there isn’t much of a ~detailed~ analysis like other pieces have had. A lot of the plays (and therefore, issues) are the same every game, and I don’t wanna keep repeating myself by making the same points week in and week out. Also, this game was kinda scrappy and not much really happened - until the end but we will get there in due time. I have a LOT of thoughts about the end of this game.
Few small changes in the XI - due to McManus picking up an injury vs Chelsea, Amy came back in at CB which was just
And then I saw Harris at RB 😐 I think I’ve made my feelings about that very clear, and I don’t wanna start hating on Martha for the sake of it, but Smith is the better of the two imo. And I just can’t see why Casey keeps insisting on playing TWO natural RB’s when she has a natural LB sitting on the bench ALL THE TIME, collecting splinters in her arsecheeks. It’s annoying, and I’m kinda sick of it.
Lizzie Arnot dropped out of the XI, in favour of Jane Ross for this one, and everything else was pretty much the same as Wednesday night.
Also, and I would really appreciate some help/info/whatever you’ve all got for this, but I was under the impression that Amy couldn’t (or at least, wasn’t really supposed to) play 3 games in one week? I’m like 90% sure that Casey benched her a few times in the second half of last season for this exact reason? Apparently that’s down to the knee injury she had a few years ago, but I would appreciate some clarification on this if anyone has anything 🧐
Also (I’m being annoying now, sorry) but this commentator was... bad. Mispronuncing players names (who is Jackie Groinen?), not even bothering to try and pronounce others (here’s looking at you, Angharad James), misidentifying players, just not really knowing what was happening a solid 83% of the time... idk who she is but she needs to not commentate on a United game again, I can’t listen to her. Girl had some, interesting, opinions too, and I’m quoting her directly now, “United will think that they’re due a defeat” 🧐 I’m not entirely sure how, or why, that would be the case, but apparently both United and Reading have alternating W/L runs in the league and today was Reading’s turn to win? I was confused. I still kinda am. And I didn’t like it.
First half:
The first 10 mins of this were pretty boring tbh. There was an awful lot of back and forth, misplaced passes, interceptions and the like. I think United were just on top in the opening few minutes, judging by the amount of time they spent in Reading’s half, and their possession.
‘8 - Corner and a free kick for United in quick succession. Nothing came from either (surprise surprise), but there was a lovely bit of ball control in the box from Ross after the FK. Just couldn’t get it to Sigsworth (who probably would have scored but we don’t need to talk about it)
‘13 - Another potential Ross/Sigsworth link up in the box but Ross just swept it straight into the legs of a Reading player, instead of passing to Jess on her left 🤷🏽♀️ I thought she was okay today, so I won’t give her too much grief for that mistake
‘16 - decent chance for Sigsworth, ended up launching it straight at *insert Reading player here.* Foreal, I have no idea who it was. Sorry. Groenen and Zelem both had decent opportunities following this, but nothing came of either of those
‘17 - Another corner for Utd, wasn’t a great delivery to be honest. Was played out and worked back in, LJ managed to get a shot off but sent it behind with a deflection so yet more corners followed. With nothing coming from any of them - this is starting to be a problem. We never challenge from set pieces, and I’m genuinely starting to wonder why that is? Does someone else need to take them? Or what?
There was *a lot* of midfield action around this time, more back and forth, a few fouls, and free kicks. None of this was noteworthy, hence the lack of notes.
‘21 - Amy stop backpassing challenge. I gave Abbie SO much shit for this vs City and Chelsea (as well as vs Spurs, oops), so I guess it’s Amy’s turn now. Sidenote: I think ‘Turner & Turner’ is my fave chant, the original at least. No disrespect to Abbie but seeing Turner x2 at CB on the teamsheet has me like
‘28 - Earps’ clearnances need work. Like, a lot of work. I think I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m never fully convinced by the ball that leaves her feet, and I don’t think she is either which is an issue 😬
‘29 - GOAL - United. I was literally just making a note on how boring I was finding this game - my highlight by the 28 minute mark was Amy lashing her boot into Tash Harding’s face. Lol. - when Lauren James appears literally out of nowhere and lashes one home. A gorgeous strike, cutting in from the left. This kid is lethal.
‘38 - Today I learned that we really only have one fast defender - Millie. Martha somehow outpaced Amy back with Reading on the break and I think my jaw hit the floor.
‘41 - United have the ball in the back of the net again. Amy got under a well struck free from Zelem and fired it home, but somehow was ruled offside. Clearly this ref and I have very, very different opinions about what the offisde rule actually constitutes, cause she was very much clearly onside.
Idk if you can see properly in those pics, but no one is offside in any of them. You can see in this video too, that Amy is in fact, NOT offside. I’m not having that one, it should have stood. https://twitter.com/48hours8/status/1223984745413038081?s=21
I just. I’m highkey so annoyed. And I’m definitely dragging this out but like
Moving on. That concluded a pretty uneventful half, aside from the goal and the offside that wasn’t actually offside.
Halftime:
Reading made a pretty interesting change at the half, subbing Haz off for LMKU. Maybe LMKU offers more of a threat going forward, but I thought Haz was pretty solid in the first half? She was certainly a lot better today than she was in the reverse fixture - she was shredded by Galton on every single run but I didn’t see her do anything like that this time? Anyway. (Also I’m lowkey sad Amy never got to slide tackle her into the middle of next week)
Second half:
‘47 - Quality build up work down the left and a gorgeous ball into the box from LJ, I fortune my it just brushed past Sigsworth and Ross in the 6 yard box/penalty area. So close to a second for United.
‘51 - a pretty poor free kick from Zelem, and a pretty poor decision and back pass from James. Sometimes I wonder if people on this team think about what they’re doing before they do it 🤗
‘53 - decent chance for Reading, which ultimately comes off the back post. United very lucky to get away with that one.
‘59 - Harris was very far forward there for a time. Like in the opposition box forward. Hello, anxiety. Also Amy nearly body checked someone around the same time and I was truly living my best life.
‘61 - Zel with a decent free kick, just couldn’t get the dip it needed to hit the back of the net
‘62 - another good strike from LJ, unfortunately just straight at the keeper.
‘63 - Penalty - Reading. Yellow for Amy for pushing Utland (I didn’t catch who it actually was, but according to Reading’s twitter it was LMKU) and conceding the pen.
‘64 - MARY EARPS SAFE HANDS LET’S GOOOO 🗣👏🏽🔥 What a save, my god. I was sure that was going in, but I’ve never been happier to be proven wrong in my life.
‘75 - another great chance for LJ - a lovely strike, think it could have done with a little bit of a chip, and then surely it was going in. Good work from Jess and Jackie in the build up too
‘76 - ‘82. This is where shit got crazy. And I really have no words for what I saw during this 6 minutes. Well, I do have words - I have a lot of them - but most of them aren’t suitable for this platform so I’ll just keep those ones to myself. Never in all my life have I seen such incompetent refereeing. A free kick awarded to Reading on the edge of the box, due to a ‘handball’ (that didn’t happen) by Lauren James, is cleared and HEADED away by Katie Zelem. The ref then proceeds to book Zelem for handball which, unless she suddenly has a third arm growing out of her FACE (I can confirm - she does not), makes absolutely zero sense, and awards Reading another penalty.
Jess also managed to get herself booked for questioning the ref’s decision and defending Katie sjsjsj, and not a single Reading player made a claim for that penalty. Surely, if she had handled the ball, every Reading player in the box would have appealed for it? You can clearly see the ball hit her head in the video linked below, but apparently the arm bone is now connected to the face bone, at least according to this ref anyway. 🙄
https://twitter.com/48hours8/status/1223996019022626821?s=21
I have no more thoughts on whatever happened after that because I had to turn it off before they scored that penalty, otherwise I would have drop kicked my laptop out my window. For what it’s worth, I did think Martha had a decent game today. I still want Smith at RB and Lotta at LB while Amy’s at CB though. You can’t make me change my mind 🤗
This is the third time this week alone that United have been robbed by poor referees, and apparently the ref of the City/Arsenal game today wasn’t much better. I didn’t see that game so I can’t really comment, but I don’t doubt those claims. The standard and quality of refereeing I’ve seen over the past 2 seasons since my introduction to women’s football has been appalling. And it’s not fair, I think this tweet pretty much sums it up.
The FA has pretty much demanded that every team/club in the WSL be full time, it’s about time that they demand the same qualifications and high quality from their officials, because this just isn’t good enough. And not just from the standpoint of a United fan, and in the context of today’s result, but league wide. It’s just not good enough. I’m completley here for literally everybody calling this shambles out for what it is, and the United girls being salty af on the tl.
Sorry that is this kinda long and ranty, but I’m in my feelings about this ref. ✌🏽
#justiceforlotta2020#justiceforamy2020#justiceforkatie2020#@ the fa - hire some competent refs challenge#thanks for coming to my (very angry) ted talk#i’m still fuming#these girls deserve better#my writing#muwfc#manchester united women

Get ready for a long post. Sorry about the scrolling. I just feel the need to analyze this scene. I’ve said it before but it is one of my FAVORITE Coco scenes and is what inspired me to pursue animating.
I found an awesome site that has LOADS of screenshots of Coco in very nice quality. Which I got from another amazing Coco blogger @twilit-violet-one so special thanks for that!
Alright onto the scene dissection!
Imelda, “I want nothing to do with you! Not in life, not in death.”
Interesting about this one. You’d think she’d be angry but this face looks more hurt and sad then frustrated or angry. I like to think it’s because deep down she hates that she is saying this. Obviously she wants to say it and she means it. But we all know Hector is the love of her life. I think it pains her to think that Hector abandoned her. She loved him with all her heart and wanted him to stay and never leave. But when he did leave and never came back, it broke her heart, not out of anger necessarily but because it hurts her to think someone she loved so deeply could cause her that much pain.
I will be putting some bonus Hector screenshots in here too cuz OH MY FREAKING GOODNESS LOOK AT HOW SAD HE IS!!!! He is so dadgum sorry for what happened! He hates seeing her in so much pain ugh guys this is one of the frames that really gets me. If I stare too long I might just cry. But we can’t move on yet. You might be wondering Why doesn’t Imelda notice how sorry he is?! She says in this scene “How many times must I turn you away?” Which would imply that he had tried making contact with her since she died. She’s turned him away many times and I’m sure he was just as sorrowful looking before. She probably assumes that he is “cowaring” because of her yelling and not because he is actually sorry. We all know Imelda can be quite intimidating. She’s probably used to giving people these reactions 🤣 Ok sorry yes moving on.
Miguel, “He was trying to get me home. I didn’t wanna listen. But he was right. Nothing is more important than family.”
This is her face RIGHT after Miguel says “Nothing is more important than family.” The entire rest of his line before hand she still looks furious. I mean think about it. Miguel said “He was right” Imelda probably thought that Miguel was about to go on a long explanation as to why music is the most important thing. As soon as he says “Nothing is more important than family” she is SHOCKED. Like that is the last thing she expected Miguel to learn from Hector, the man she believed has put music before everything for nearly a century. She’s just properly confused. It doesn’t make any sense to her.
Miguel, “He’s part of our family.”
Imelda, “He left this family!”
At this point she still has no reason to believe that he would ever put family first. As she said, he left his family. Hence the anger rising again.
Miguel, “He tried to go home to you and Coco. But de la Cruz murdered him.”
She actually listens here! You can see in her face she’s truly listening and never suspected what had actually happened. She’s shocked and sad... again. Why is this shocking? If she has turned Hector away so many times in the past few decades, why hasn’t Hector told her that he died trying to come home? Even though Hector didn’t know he was murdered by Ernesto, he still thought he died by a bad chorizo. The thing is... Imelda is quite a force to be reckoned with. I highly doubt any interaction between the two of them in the land of the dead prior to this movie consisted of much conversationing. It probably mainly involved her yelling and throwing shoes at him. I don’t think she ever gave Hector the chance to explain himself. But NOW Imelda is hearing it from her great great grandson who just claimed Hector is putting family first. I think she’s a bit more curious and definitely more open to listening to Miguel rather than Hector himself.
No pictures for this next part but I still wanted to comment on the dialogue here.
Imelda, “And so what if it’s true?! You leave me alone with a child to raise and I’m just supposed to forgive you?”
This I think is one of the main lines people think she is being too harsh. But let’s just step in her Rivera shoes for a second here. She literally JUST found out that he was murdered... she doesn’t know when, how? or anything else. For all she knows he could’ve been gone on the road for 5 years before wanting to come home. Now of course we all know that wasn’t the case but my point is, this is all new information for her and for the past 100 years she has been angry that he left them for music. Just because he was murdered doesn’t change the fact that he still left and she still raised Coco on her own. Also I imagine it’s difficult to let go of a century of anger after hearing 1 sentence. I mean I’ve never been angry at someone for 100 years straight but I’d imagine it’s hard to get over.
Imelda, “You leave me alone with a child to raise and I’m just supposed to forgive you?”
Hector, “Imelda, I-“
(Imelda gasps)
That first pic man. That hurts. I feel that. Her empathy! Sadness! Surprise! Regret! How many emotions is this woman feeling in this ONE SHOT! I got to really break it down now.
Sadness- She is genuinely sad to see him this way. It looks like she’d cry to see him in that much pain. Her sadness proves that she DOES care for him. If she truly wanted him forgotten, seeing him fade wouldn’t be this emotional.
Surprise- It’s as if she has never even thought about him facing the final death. I mean surely she must’ve known ripping his photo, banning music, and never talking about him would lead to him being forgotten? The mind is a curious thing. While she wanted to forget him and wanted her family to forget him, she never truly wanted to harm the person she loved! She wanted to forget the hurtful actions, not her love. But the only way to forget the pain was to snuff him out too. I think she’s surprised because she never wanted to face the truth that by banning his stories, she was killing the love of her life.
Regret- This goes with the surprise in a way. She didn’t want to ever imagine Hector facing the final death. She is now regretting all of her own actions that is leading him to be forgotten.
Also Hector again DADGUM GOODNESS YOUR EYES ARE TEARING THROUGH MY SOUL! HE LOOKS SO BROKEN!
Right, sorry, moving on.
Imelda, “I wanted to forget you. I wanted Coco to forget you too.”
I’d like to point out her shoulder blades here. First of all it’s pretty cool cuz usually you wouldn’t be able to notice them on a living person but since you can see through her ribs it’s easy to spot... that sentence though 🤣
The first pic where she’s “slouching” (lower shoulder blades) you can tell she’s “defeated” and feels awful about what happened and how she handled everything. I can’t even put it to words, you can see she is almost like shameful! And then the second pic she tightens her shoulders when she admits that she wanted to forget him! Like it’s painful for her to admit it and she doesn’t want to show it.
Hector, “This is my fault. Not yours. I’m sorry, Imelda.”
Wow k. So many things where do I start.
Picture one. I’d like to note here that Hector cut her off. She was going to keep talking after “I wanted Coco to forget you too.” but he interjected. She actually stopped talking and let HIM speak. This entire time has been Imelda and Miguel going back and forth and she finally let him speak! You know how huge that is? Like I said earlier, I doubt she has ever let him explain himself since he could have very well said “I tried coming home but I died because of food poisoning!” If she hasn’t let him say that, I doubt she has let him speak to her at all. He just interjected her and she is allowing him to talk. That first pic just screams regret and shame to me. She isn’t even looking him in the eye and it’s as if she’s pondering all that had truly happened and trying to process. Right there she can feel the blame and the fault of the situation. Why do you think Hector just said “This is my fault.” He can see she is blaming herself and taking the guilt. He said that to relieve HER pain.
Now a lot of people don’t like that Hector blames himself. and I get it. It’s not his fault that his best friend murdered him. But he was the one who left. He still walked out the door for music. And there was no way for Imelda to know that he died. What was she supposed to think? And even if after she died she found out that he died trying to return, there’d be no way to communicate with the land of the living. Imelda can’t just contact her living family like, ‘Hey Elena! It was all a big misunderstanding! You can play music and tell Hector’s stories now!” Imelda couldn’t physically have prevented Hector being forgotten. But it also isn’t Hector’s fault either. Yes, he left, but he tried fixing his mistake. We all know Ernesto is to blame here, you know he is the murderer and everything but it’s obvious Hector feels guilty for leaving in the first place and he doesn’t want Imelda taking the blame for any of it. {Which is so dadgum cute oh my goodness}
Picture two. This may very well be the first time Hector said he was sorry. Whether it was his fault or not, whether he thinks it’s his fault or not, he is sorry that Imelda was left alone. Judging by her surprised expression, I don’t think Hector has ever apologized to her before. She had always believed it was his fault but now she’s unsure. She’s blaming herself and still processing. This is a lot to take in. And still, his fault or not, she truly hears his apology. I don’t even know how to explain it but it’s almost like she is feeling the words.
And the third pic. She is sorry too. And still surprised and completely touched that he is apologizing. I mean the way he apologized too! You can see in HIS face and hear through HIS words how sorry he is and I think that Imelda feels bad for how sorry he feels. Otherwise I don’t think she’d look so sad.
Imelda, “I can’t forgive you.”
LOOK AT HOW FREAKING SAD SHE IS!!! It's as if she wants to forgive him but she can't and again, I can't stress enough, OVER NINETY YEARS she believed he intentionally abandoned her and their daughter. Anger that long doesn't just go away after a single minute and I think she feels sad about that. Real quick though, can you honestly imagine her jumping back into his arms right this second? We all know she does end up literally jumping into his arms after La Llorona but right now in this scene can you really picture her just being like "Oooooooh ok l get it now. Nah, it's cool, I forgive you. Clean slate! You can just forget that I was angry for almost a century. We're good."
I've already made an ENTIRE post just about her "But I will help you." Line but I am out of open slots for pictures and have probably effectively wrote your eyes out. But I hope you enjoyed it, if not at least found something interesting.
I would like to say one more thing! The amount of time and heart that was poured into this scene to give these characters such incredible emotion just stuns me. Truly, the people who worked on this scene need an oscar themselves and if I ever got the chance to meet them I would be incredibly awe struck because this scene took some serious skill. Thank you for being an inspiration!

There’s Nothing Wrong With Utilizing your Mobile Phone a Lot
Is very not uncommon for people to use another person's cell phone and to be our very first time. In doing so , we are trying to reproduce that first feeling of freedom a phone gives. A family member in another point out was in the hospital. It was a Sunday nighttime, and I have been invited into a party. Rather than being away having fun I had been sitting in my apartment, looking forward to the phone to call, restless for information. It was a pal who provide me his phone to be sure I will find out any information as quickly as possible, and in addition, be able to enroll in the get together. There was zero reason for me to be connected to my own landline. I look back at that illustration, and in addition in wondering at how gracious my friend was in financing me his phone for the night (who would offer their cellphone away today? ), My spouse and i couldn’t has stopped being amazed at the liberty this cellphone gave me. I was able to venture out and be interpersonal - whilst still being accessible as well. This is the kind of freedom cell phones make available. Currently our telephones are regarding far more than vocal communications, and they are no longer an optionally available possession. They can be integrated into existence in ways not really their makers thought. But screen period is the fresh sitting in a chair for hours at a time, which I happen to consent is a bad thing. I have a standing office and it’s been a life changer. In a time when we are digitally connected these days, yet feeling more unconnected than ever, we are being taught, even admonished, to lessen the dependence on cell phones. To limit our amount of time in front of screens, to put the telephone down and have a real dialogue with someone, in the flesh. Elimination of equipment and display time is currently becoming a luxury item; to be able to disconnect from our phones to get an extended period of time bestows a status that a lot of us can’t find the money for or achieve. Take action, we could told, for your sanity if perhaps not humankind, and also for your neck: constantly looking down at your cellphone strains your lower back, which leads to all type of physical pain. I’ve possibly experienced repeating stress symptoms with my fingers from a lot of scrolling, and i also could swear my forearm sometimes affects in a weird place if I’ve utilized my telephone for too much time. However is using the cell phones a lot really so bad? Does staying addicted to the phones genuinely disconnect all of us from other folks as much we believe? Aren’t there gains for the activities that consume us while were clutched to the smartphones? Whenever we use our phones, perhaps there is something we’re missing that we would be doing otherwise? I get a whole lot out of using my personal cell phone, and so no, Really dont want to set it straight down. The answer is never to be socially shamed in using my cell phone significantly less. The response is to ensure cell phone use is addictive and productive and entertaining, not only a distraction coming from boredom or perhaps isolating you from cultural or specialist settings. It is crucial to be intentional and aware about how youre using your phone, not whether you’re using it at all or too much. The minds will be constantly operating, processing our many thoughts, worries, concerns, plans. We really need a frenzymadness, desperation, hysteria, mania, insanity, delirium, derangement from all of it, but occasionally, life isn’t so obvious cut.
Take those movies. My spouse and i go, almost exclusively, to a movie theater having a strict simply no phones, simply no texting plan. They will chuck your ass out if you utilize a mobile phone in the theater. Yet once I was which has a friend, too theater, who had been being endlessly texted by his wife. We now know her mother was in critical health problem. He wound up leaving the movie to organize to go to the airport. As wonderful as a continuous movie encounter is, that doesn’t overcome emergencies whenever they arise. Handful of experiences with another person happen to be as close and binding as a distributed meal. (Hang on, I can get to sexual in a minute. ) In the event that there was ever before a moment when ever you could wish to connect with other people, straight, eye to eye, with no distraction, it could be over a food. However, just like almost everything, there may be exclusions. Suppose, throughout the dialog, you start discussing taking a vacation together, or about national parks, or about decreasing in numbers species? Looking up pics to show your companion can add towards the conversation. Quickly Googling a well known fact or reference point can help within your argument. Showing a social media post you found attention grabbing, interesting or perhaps important can be quite a launching stage of a chat. In individuals moments, anyone is not distancing yourself or adding something in the middle you and someone else, you will be sharing. And sharing can be a beautiful thing. What Im not quarrelling is that the both of you should be looking at Facebook, individually, without interesting together. The things i am saying is that your device can be a conduit, a lead, a resource intended for source material, to add and help the chat. If the focus remains to be on the both of you, the phone is a prop. If the focus is definitely centered on the product, the device is an essential seduction and you’ve misplaced interconnection. The former is very good, the latter is certainly not. Each of our cell phones are a instrument. The ideal way all of us choose to use this device is exactly what give them their very own worth. You are likely to think the very last place you’d want cellphone interference would be the bedroom. On the face of it, two people lying down in bed up coming to each other, every single with cellular phones in their hands, all but disregarding each other, sounds like one of the most depressing, spirit-killing scenes one can easily think of modern lifestyle. However would it be naturally awful? If I am reading the newspaper, what does that matter in the event that I’m browsing the actual daily news or the online version in the smartphone? In the event that I’m checking out e-mail, how much does it matter if I have a laptop or telephone? If Im having fun with online games or else distracted, what does it subject if Im browsing an e book of playing a few game? And in the end, don’t we at times glamorize examining in bed with each other? I love reading books, in order to find it sort of hot my partner truly does too. Performing that while having sex together, after that talking about what we’re browsing, is a great intellectual turn-on. So with all due esteem to several investigators, in this case, the carrier is definitely not the message. What is important here is certainly not the gadget by itself, yet the activity you’re involved in, either collectively or independently. There can easily still be togetherness when two people are on all their telephones, just like there is when ever reading literature. The most really important problem arises when use of a phone eliminates something, or perhaps triggers a separation if a point of attachment will otherwise take place. Might associated with your phones from pickup bed mean more sex? Might be. It could likewise lead to an individual getting out of bed quicker in the day time, or sleeping sooner at nighttime. Although we are while having sex, did you know that through your smartphone, you can watch videos? Or perhaps look at pictures of…. whatever it can be that excites you? Or make use of software intended to foster discussion or activity with a intimate spouse? The phone is a instrument. It is present without inherent judgment, qualities or value. What we make of it is approximately us. Do I really need to let you know this? Obviously there are times when you must absolutely hardly ever touch the mobile phone, beginning, naturally, with driving a car. (Guilty as billed: I generally use the Roadmaps programs in the phone to aid me receive where I’m going. It isn’t really so simple, is it? ) I think faith based services needs to be device-free specific zones, as should particular spaces, just like gym bathtub rooms, exactly where privacy should be respected. Excellent distaste for people who use their very own phone at the health club; I don’t want to hear your business calls whilst I’m lifting weights. At the same time, I see a lot of people using workout and work out apps on their mobile phones, proving the issue, that once more, these mini-pc systems inside our pockets will be what we make of them. Should you be one of those individuals that attend a live show and insist upon recording video and shooting pictures the whole time, My spouse and i ask how a lot of that is necessary. Experiencing the moment in time for yourself, not simply through a unit, is highly advised. But…. include I ever watched live show footage online taken by somebody else? Yes, I have. Just a few years in the past I was by a field hockey game with my Dad. I’ve been in the habit of checking Facebook during game titles to follow along with the community of enthusiasts and media to help improve my experience of the game, and know more about the thing that was going on. And that’s ideal for when watching at home. Yet I had been there. I didn’t require that community - I had been with 20, 000 persons, and my Dad. Consequently I set my phone in my pocket. I overlooked the comments. I missed the details of points I didn’t see since live, you miss much more than you think. Nevertheless I was in a position to drench in the surrounding. I was able to talk to my Dad as to what we thought would happen subsequent. And later, through the night, when we mentioned the game, we reflected upon so many different moments, details I might have overlooked had We looked at my own phone even more. So there is always a trade off. You will discover moments when your phone can distract you. That muddiness can be a bad thing (when you should be speaking with a cherished one) or a good thing (when you’re sad and only and need something to cheer you up). It can detach you (when you steer clear of another person by simply diving in to social media) or provide you with together (if you look up a joke to share or work with your telephone to turn on music to party to). Let’s not keep our equipment responsible for the human condition. A couple, lovers, let us say, resting in bed. In a single moment, they are on their cell phones, lost inside their own sides. In the next, their very own phones are off, for the bedside table. What happens next? Anything can occur. It’s to the two people involved. That is authentic whether you have your mobile phone in your hand or perhaps not. And if you do, you also choose how to use your telephone: in a disconnecting way or possibly a sharing method. If you are feeling bad or perhaps responsible regarding being on your mobile phone, do you know what you should carry out. You would need to put your trust in your gut. Is important to support the person having the cellphone liable, usually do not blame the tool.

hostageshipping for the ship meme ask
Send in two (or more) names and I’ll fill all this out about the ship!
General:
Rate the Ship - Awful | Ew | No pics pls | I’m not comfortable | Alright | I like it! | Got Pics? | Let’s do it! | Why is this not getting more attention?! | The OTP to rule all other OTPs
How long will they last? - Till death do them part.
How quickly did/will they fall in love? - Rather quickly once they’ve developed a mutual understanding and realized how alike they truly are, with Reiji evolving past his huge misconceptions of Shun and completely owning up to his unjustified shitty behavior towards him and Yuuto by apologizing and putting an actual effort into making amends. Shun would follow suit after a period of mistrust, change his own attitude towards Reiji, and by the moment they are having deep and meaningful discussions, they are already way past the point of no return :D
How was their first kiss? - Electrifying. Tbh, there are various options for first Hostage kisses, all of which make sense equally. I may or may not talk about these in a separate post as I only really bring them up in private convos, but… yeah, pleasurable, warm, electrifying is what they all have in common. And please, people, neither of these two are too stupid and OMGOMGOMG awkward to kiss without messing up in a disgustingly embarrassing fashion. It’s disgraceful to portray them in such fashion.
Wedding:
Who proposed? - Either Reiji proposes to Shun or they are just having this very casual conversation of “We should get married.” - “…Yeah, we should.” at the dinner table lol
Who is the best man/men? - If he’s alive in the verse in question - Yuuto; otherwise, it’d be Tsukikage or both lol
Who is the bridesmaid(s)? - Ruri - potentially the rest of the bracelet girls.
Who did the most planning? - Reiji
Who stressed the most? - Nakajima Neither is the type to stress over such matters
How fancy was the ceremony? - Back of a pickup truck | 2 | 3 | 4 | Normal Church Wedding | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Kate and William wish they were this big.The former is how they’d prefer to marry; the latter is how they’d probably end up marrying due to Reiji’s responsibilities as the CEO of Leo Corp. They would, however, definitely hold a very small celebration separate from the official one, with only those they genuinely care about or at least to to some extent value - aka less than 10 people - being invited, and that’d be what they’d consider their true wedding in their memories.
Who was specifically not invited to the wedding? - Those they’d specifically not invite are people they’ve already killed at that point tbh lol
Sex:
Who is on top? - They take turns, meaning the two of them are equals in every aspect of their relationship.
Who is the one to instigate things? - At the beginning of their relationship, it is Shun, given how he is better at adapting to new circumstances than Reiji, who is kinda prudish on top of it. As their relationship progresses, however, they are pretty much equal in regard to instigating ‘quality time’
How healthy is their sex life? - Barely touch themselves let alone each other | 2 | 3 | 4 | Once a couple weeks, nothing overboard | 6 | 7 | 7.5 | 8 | 9 | They are humping each other on the couch right nowI do believe these two’d have intercourse quite regularly, though it is important to mention that they are very much capable of going without too, with no negative impact on their relationship whatsoever, as they are attracted to one another’s minds, not bodies. And no, no intercourse in public or other ‘risky’ places either; Shun and Reiji are not neanderthals, please and thank you.
How kinky are they? - Straight missionary with the lights off | 2 | 3 | 4 | Might try some butt stuff and toys | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Don’t go into the sex dungeon without a horse’s headNo toys, but… Reiji’d definitely want to experiment a little, with Shun acquiring a taste for trying out new things as well after some time has passed. But…yeah *cough* tying one another up with Reiji’s scarf *cough* a mild kink involving Reiji making Shun say ‘please’ *cough* a very mild and harmless foot kink because ankles without it being dirty or grossly sexual *cough*
How long do they normally last? - It depends on how much time they have at hand before they need to sleep - and on whether they want to just quickly blow off steam or explore every inch of one another’s body.
Do they make sure each person gets an equal amount of orgasms? - Always.
How rough are they in bed? - Softer than a butterfly on the back of a bunny | 2 | 3 | 4 | The bed’s shaking and squeaking every time | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Their dirty talk is so vulgar it’d make Dwayne Johnson blush. Also, the wall’s so weak it could collapse the next time they do it.Again, anything from 2-5 could happen depending on the exact circumstances and intentions.
How much cuddling/snuggling do they do? - No touching after sex | 2 | 3 | 4 | A little spooning at night, or on the couch, but not in public | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | They snuggle and kiss more often than a teen couple on their fifth date to a pillow factory.Contrary to popular belief, I see these two as an incredibly physically affectionate couple. PDA would be very tame and limited (mostly, they just hold hands), but… yeah, these two, in particular, are very affection-starved for multiple reasons- they’d of course make use of the fact that they’ve finally found someone they adore and genuinely do want to exchange such displays of affection with.
Children:
Children and either character do not work - period.
How many children will they have naturally? -
How many children will they adopt? -
Who gets stuck with the most diapers? -
Who is the stricter parent? -
Who stops the kid(s) from doing dangerous stunts after school? -
Who remembers to pack the lunch(es)? -
Who is the more loved parent? -
Who is more likely to attend the PTA meetings?
Who cried the most at graduation? -
Who is more likely to bail the child(ren) out of trouble with the law? -
Cooking:
Who does the most cooking? - Shun. While they usually eat the meals prepared for them by the kitchen staff, there are days Reiji is craving Shun’s homemade food in particular, and as Shun himself is holding Leo and Himika in contempt for having deprived Reiji of any kinds of small meaningful gestures showing that he is being valued as a person, he’ll happily oblige him whenever it doesn’t interfere with his duties - despite how he couldn’t care any less about what he himself is eating.
Who is the most picky in their food choice? - Reiji. But then again, with Shun as his competition, that really doesn’t say all that much lol
Who does the grocery shopping? - Neither. Preparing food and buying groceries is the task of the Akabas’ kitchen staff, and since the fridge is always well-stocked, Shun can just take the ingredients he needs from there. That being said, if there’s a special kind of ingredient Shun needs for his meal that is either seasonal or has to be super fresh, it can definitely occur that they just go and buy it together as some sort of mini-date.
How often do they bake desserts? - I cannot picture them doing any such thing prior to Ruri being freed - and even then, it’d take a lot of asking nicely and gentle bullying for them to join Ruri in the kitchen.
Are they more of a meat lover or a salad eater? - The kitchen staff’s meals are well-balanced and healthy, meaning far more veggies as ingredients than meat.
Who is more likely to surprise the other(s) with an anniversary dinner? - As Shun doesn’t really cook anything fancy, just… simply, homemade dishes that are remarkably tasty and Reiji’d just suggest going out, neither really qualifies for this. Ruri’d definitely cook something for the nerds, though, should she be back and aware of the exact date of the start of their relationship.
Who is more likely to suggest going out? - Reiji. He’s a bad workaholic, but even he doesn’t come close to Shun’s mustn’t-spend-a-single-second-away-from-war-duties mentality.
Who is more likely to burn the house down accidentally while cooking? - Reiji. Boy has never stepped a single foot in a kitchen before and he doesn’t really have any intention to change such habits if it isn’t for the sake of watching Shun cook.
Chores:
Who cleans the room? - The Akabas’ cleaning staff.
Who is really against chores? - Again, the Akabas have people hired for practically everything, so the question is kinda redundant.
Who cleans up after the pets? - No pets for these two.
Who is more likely to sweep everything under the rug? - Reiji by exclusion principle.as Shun just doesn’t care about trivial matters such as cleaning and maintaining appearances in front of others That being said, this’d only occur in the case of an ‘emergency’ as otherwise, Reiji’d simply notify the cleaning staff-
Who stresses the most when guests are coming over? - I wouldn’t call it ‘stressing’, but… yeaaah, Reiji’d definitely give more fucks than Shun - who gives zero lol However, what kinds of guests would these two even have other than business contacts or politicians contributing to Standard’s war effort? - because no, the Lancer children certainly don’t qualify for that.
Who found a dollar between the couch cushions while cleaning? - Probably Shun lol
Misc:
Who takes the longer showers/baths? - Reiji. When he gets Shun to join him, however, then enter and leave at the same time.
Who takes the dog out for a walk? - Again, no pets for these two.
How often do they decorate the room/house for the holidays? - Again something that’d only work with Ruri being there to nudge them into celebrating a holiday with her.
What are their goals for the relationship? - Defeating Academia, killing Leo, and saving Ruri aside, it’d be: Bringing out the best in themselves and in one another; gaining a deeper understanding of themselves, one another, and their surroundings; nurturing something truly genuine and meaningful completely void of false appearances and pretenses.
Who is most likely to sleep till noon? - Neither. Shun’s a light sleeper and Reiji’s too responsible, though… should Shun manage to collapse in his lack of talent at resting and taking proper care of himself, it could happen to him - and gosh, would this poor boy be shocked upon seeing the time ^^’ Same applies to Reiji in the case of him getting sick.
Who plays the most pranks? - Neither of them is the type for that, though if we’re talking about romantic trolling…. in that case, Reiji is the one, though Shun most definitely knows to fight back when he actually cares to.

How to Achieve the 90s Aesthetic
.Now, I know there are several facets to the fashion aspect of the 90s but I’ll be focusing on the more advertised and wideley known style.
The most useful things you can have in your closet in order to build a new style are basics. These are timeless pieces that go with almost any era and are typically plain, solid colour pieces.
First, jeans
Now, the main thing to note about these jeans is that they are VERY hard to shop for. I’m sure you have noticed that celebrities like the Kardashians and Instagram models seem to always have the best fitting jeans ever but that’s simply because either they have them tailored to have that perfect fit or they buy from redone, a sustainable brand that transform vintage Levi’s into the ultimate jean with the perfect waist to hip ratio, only almost all the jeans retail for the high price of 300$. It took me nearly three months to find the perfect jean for me so here are the things to look for.
1) Waist to hip ratio - most jeans have a really big waist (for some reason) but that can easily be fixed with a belt (if you like rouching and it’s lightweight denim) or a little tailoring
2) The fly - very few people look at this when shopping but make sure that the fly goes all the way down to your crotch otherwise your jeans will always look a little off
3) Back pockets - you want to make sure these are perfectly placed and sized or they’ll make your butt look AWFUL. For reference check out Levi’s jeans as they have the placement down to a science.
4) Fabric - If you want durable jeans like I did, I would suggest to find a 100% cotton jean (do note that these take breaking in and won’t be very comfortable for all day wear). On the other hand, if you’re looking for a comfortable jean you should get a cotton and spandex blend (keeping in mind that they don’t last as long, will deform at the knees when you sit and get dirty much easier.) I have both.
Tops
Crew neck tees were everywhere. Depending on your personal style you can wear them loose, form fitting, cropped (preferably), with horizontal lines.
Tank tops are great too. Try them striped or plain, however you fancy!
For a a more authentic look you can wear a fitted crew neck top with a v neck, round neck or straight neck tank over it. Always, always!!!! spaghetti straps
And for those of you who live where it gets a little colder in the winter try some crew neck or turtleneck sweaters. Again, plain or with funky horizontal patterns (be it just stripes or aztec). I prefer to wear darker colours but there’s so many to choose from. I get these from thrift stores.
Jackets
Puffy jackets of any kind!!!! Always oversized. Be it windbreakers, leather jackets, jean jackets, bombers, letterman, the possibilities are endless. I find that the easiest place to get these are thrift stores.
Shoes
The 90s was very much about statement chunky heels and platform boots and sneakers. Again, in order to be bit more timeless (since my style does change quite often) I stick to plain white sneakers (adidas, converse, whatever) black combat boots (I have both the classic and 1 3/4″ platform because I couldn’t resist) and a pair of low heeled oxfords that I always wear with colourful, striped ankle socks.
Accessories
Scrunchies, hair clips, chokers, tiny glasses, gold hoops (small or big), ugly hats and thick belts are just a few but there are so many that it would require its own post. In italics are the ones I actually own.
Lastly, a few shopping tips.
I try to be as environmentally friendly as possible when shopping but itcan be hard when all the sustainable brands cost an arm and a leg. So here are some tips I’ve accumulated.
1) Don’t!!!! Do not! Impulse buy - you willalways find yourself with a piece that you barely wear because nothing in your closet goes with it. Instead, think about how many outfits you can make with that single piece, if you can think of more than 3 then go for it
2) Get your basics from stores like H&M - they are certainly not sustainable but do have good quality to price ratio on their basics. These include: white/black tee. white/black turtleneck...you get the gist.
3) Shop from thrift stores - there’s no shame in that, it’s the easiest and cheapest way to be sustainable
4) Get good quality shoes - shoes are an investment, no use buying those 30$ shoes from that chain store that will be in pieces come the next season. Absolutely spend a little more on shoes because those last you a lifetime. Everything else in your closet is expendable; you can gain weight, lose it, lose interest in that style anc have to repurchase everything but those basic shoes you’ll always have.
I was also gonna add some info on how to carry out that aesthetic in pics and online but this is already too long im so sorry
#i hope this makes sense#i have too much time on my hands#the holidays are hard#i am very tired#lmk if you think im missing something#im not a specialist i just like clothes#fashion#mom jeans#90s#nineties#clothess#clothes#shopping#jeans#sustainable#tips#fashion tips#basics#aesthetic

SEO Company Consultant and Search Engine Land columnist, Glenn Gabe is a fount of knowledge, and definitely one to follow if you’re looking to bring more SEO Company insights to your Twitter feed.
Google has explained many times that indexing is tied to quality. If you are seeing a drop in indexation, then try to identify which pages are dropping. If you have pages in sitemaps by type, that can help ID problems. And check “indexed, submitted” vs “indexed, not submitted”. https://t.co/Xau95lTvj9

So, should you ever find yourself feeling lost to the whims of Google, Ben might just be able to lend a helping hand.

15. Lily Ray, Path Interactive
Now we venture into the not-so-local portion of this list… but this list would surely be incomplete without NYC-based SEO Company Lily Ray, who focuses mostly on organic SEO Company — from E-A-T to new SERP features.
An SEO Company by day and DJ by night, Lily Ray is not your typical SEO Company. While usually her feed is filled with algorithm news and the like, lately Lily has been putting her skills to admirable use – performing 8-hour long DJ sets to raise money for those affected by Covid-19.
Just one of many ‘interesting’ examples of shakeups from the May core update.
Previously, if you typed “leasing a car,” the top result explained what car leasing is, pros and cons, whether it’s right for you, etc.
Now the top result is firmly about “why you shouldn’t do it.” pic.twitter.com/SPAPlRyf8w

Marie describes herself as being “totally obsessed” with algo updates, and her weekly newsletter ‘Search News You Can Use’ often focuses on these.
The May core update is looking like a big one. It’s far too early to discuss patterns or causes, but we’re seeing clients across several verticals with really nice gains. (Thread…) pic.twitter.com/W2OVIx3YF8
— Marie Haynes (@Marie_Haynes) May 6, 2020
She’s often the first to know about potential updates, and is always quick to share her data findings.
Follow Marie on Twitter
17. Barry Schwartz, Rusty Brick
Again, not strictly local, but Barry is one of the go-to accounts when it comes to seeing the latest news in SEO Company.
Got indexing issues, might be related to the Google May 2020 core update. Google doesn’t think it is worth indexing your pages as much any more https://t.co/CZNagKNjef pic.twitter.com/AtiBkkYZMc
— Barry Schwartz (@rustybrick) May 26, 2020
His concise and timely blogs for Search Engine Roundtable are a great way to get bite-sized knowledge of the week’s biggest events. Plus, Barry usually brings the conversation to Twitter – welcoming discussion and debate on the latest changes to search. He also shares regular video recaps of the latest SEO Company news, so you can catch up on anything you may have missed quickly and easily!

New Post has been published on Harold Gross: The 5a.m. Critic
New Post has been published on http://literaryends.com/hgblog/oscars-2020-final-call/
Oscars 2020 (final call)
Another awards season is nearly complete. And with all of the other ceremonies out of the way from SAG to BAFTA, DGA, WGA, Annies, Eddies, PGA, done, there is data and trends and confusions to add just a bit of drama and uncertainty to the mother of them all: Oscars.
So, with the nominations, conversations, and voting period over, here are my final predictions of the night of glitz and glitter…
Actress in a Leading Role
Cynthia Erivo (Harriet) Scarlett Johansson (Marriage Story) Siorse Ronan (Little Women) Charlize Theron (Bombshell) Renee Zellwegger (Judy)
My choice: Renee Zellwegger (Judy) Likely winner: Renee Zellwegger (Judy)
This is pretty much a slam-dunk based on the previous ceremonies this year. And it is an amazing performance.
Actor in a Leading Role
Antonio Banderas (Pain and Glory) Leonardo DiCaprio (Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood) Adam Driver (Marriage Story) Joaquin Phoenix (Joker) Jonathan Pryce (The Two Popes)
My choice: Joaquin Phoenix (Joker) Likely winner: Joaquin Phoenix (Joker)
To my great joy, this is also a slam-dunk. The movie floored me, Phoenix in particular. But I never expected it to grab the attention of the industry this way since it is, at its heart, genre. It’s nice to be surprised sometimes.
Actress in a Supporting Role
Kathy Bates (Richard Jewell) Laura Dern (Marriage Story) Scarlett Johannson (Jojo Rabbit) Florence Pugh (Little Women) Margot Robbie (Bombshell)
My choice: Florence Pugh (Little Women) Likely winner: Laura Dern (Marriage Story)
I’ve never doubted Dern would take this statuette, but I’m not sure she’s the best choice. I think Pugh did more in her role. But Dern is a powerhouse in Marriage Story and she’s had everyone’s attention since the awards began rolling out.
Actor in a Supporting Role
Tom Hanks (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood) Anthony Hopkins (The Two Popes) Al Pacino (The Irishman) Joe Pesci (The Irishman) Brad Pitt (Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood)
My choice: Tom Hanks (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood) Likely winner: Brad Pitt (Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood)
Again, this was a category dominated from the top by a single person: Pitt. And it is a good performance in an otherwise awful movie (to my mind). But in terms of impact, Pesci and Hanks were the standouts for me. And while Pesci really is amazing (and has a slim chance of taking this) I feel like Hanks has been overlooked this year, as was his movie. Perhaps it was just too close to Rogers in reality to feel like a performance for most? Both he and Pesci hold their movies together, so really, either would be fine with me…but neither is going to beat Pitt.
Adapted Screenplay
The Irishman Jojo Rabbit Joker Little Women The Two Popes
My choice: Jojo Rabbit Likely winner: Little Women
My thinking on this has changed a lot in terms of who will win. The industry is definitely looking at this category differently than I expected… but also the previous awards hadn’t really grouped all of these together, so its a bit of a guess as to what happens. With Gerwig otherwise shut out, I think she’s got a chance for a consolation prize here. But Jojo has been showing momentum coming into the stretch (including winning the WGA) and it is the most inventive and unique of the tales overall (and Irishman is getting ignored).
Original Screenplay
Knives Out Marriage Story 1917 Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood Parasite
My choice: Parasite Likely winner: Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood
I still don’t understand the critical love of Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. It is a mess of a story and script that falls apart at the end. But it has overwhelming love from the Academy due to its subject matter and it has few other chances to win. But Parasite is likewise surging, so there could be a surprise of conscience and/or quality that tips the balance.
Directing
Martin Scorsese (The Irishman) Todd Phillips (Joker) Sam Mendes (1917) Quentin Tarantino (Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood) Bong Joon-ho (Parasite)
My choice: Todd Phillips (Joker) Likely winner: Sam Mendes (1917)
I’ve been back and forth on this category all season. Parasite is a brilliant and unexpected film, but it is also forced in some ways. The Irishman is a brilliant example of classic film-making, and manages to create a tiny, focused story out of an epic that flies along, even at 3.5 hours. It is a master-class in directing. But Joker pulls off the seeming impossible and, out of genre cloth, peels back the human condition in a way I’ve never seen before, and guided a performance that is devastating and utterly believable.
However, all that said, Mendes is going to take this for the audacity and technical execution of a story that, like Gravity before it, redefines what a movie can be. It doesn’t matter that it isn’t the best story, it is the scope and control he, as a director, had to manage in order to deliver his illusion. And it is bloody impressive.
Animated Feature Film
How To Train Your Dragon I Lost My Body Klaus Missing Link Toy Story 4
My choice: Klaus Likely winner: Klaus
OK, this is actually more of an open race this year than I originally thought. No one outside the guild expected Missing Link and Klaus to dominate the Annies this year. Frankly, though Missing Link pushed the tech, it wasn’t that great a movie. And I skipped Klaus till recently because, well, Klaus…just isn’t my thing. And while I loved I Lost My Body (and it picked up the top independent animation honor at the Annies), Klaus won me over as the best film overall.
That said, there is still a strong possibility that name recognition and Pixar are likely to dominate the Academy votes here (despite BAFTA agreeing with the Annies). But I’d be wonderfully happy and surprised to be wrong about that.
Best Picture
Ford V Ferrari The Irishman Jojo Rabbit Joker Little Women Marriage Story 1917 Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood Parasite
My choice: The Irishman Likely winner: 1917
Because of the preferential ballot, this is really still wide open. Anyone’s second or third choices could rise to the top if everyone’s second or third choice aligned.
In the end, I think Parasite gets International rather than making history as the first foreign language film to take Best Pic. I think Irishman gets snubbed because of Netflix, and I’m praying Once Upon a Time… just doesn’t get the votes as it doesn’t deserve it. But, more importantly, 1917 has been gaining momentum as the season wound down and it’s an impressive epic of a film that pushes the technology and the boundaries of expectation in a way that will likely get it over the top.
International Feature
Corpus Christi Honeyland Les Miserables Pain And Glory Parasite
My choice: Parasite Likely winner: Parasite
I don’t think there is any doubt at this point here, despite the excellent field of options.
Original Song
“I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away” – Toy Story 4 “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again” – Rocketman “I’m Standing With You” – Breakthrough “Into the Uknown” – Frozen 2 “Stand Up” – Harriet
My choice: “Stand Up” – Harriet Likely winner: “Stand Up” – Harriet
Y’know, I really just don’t care out of this grouping. Nothing stood out for me or in the popular culture. Given the lack of diversity in the Oscars this year (and with no dispersions on her abilities or song), I think Erivo takes it.
Original Score
Joker (Hildur Guonadottir) Little Women (Alexandre Desplat) Marriage Story (Randy Newman) 1917 (Thomas Newman) Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (John Williams)
My choice: Joker (Hildur Guonadottir) Likely winner: Joker (Hildur Guonadottir)
Documentary Feature
American Factory The Cave The Edge of Democracy For Sama Honeyland
My choice: The Cave Likely winner: The Cave
I have good reason for my pick other than the controversy surrounding the director’s fight with 45 getting her visa to attend the Oscars. You can’t buy that kind of publicity. But it is also getting a lot of positive attention as a film. But it could well lose to Honeyland, which has had some great recognition as well.
Documentary Short Subject
In The Absence Learning To Skateboard Life Overtakes Me St Louis Superman Walk, Run, Cha-Cha
My choice: ????? Likely winner: St Louis Superman
Live Action Short Film
Brotherhood Nefta Football Club The Neighbors’ Window Saria A Sister
My choice: ????? Likely winner: A Sister
No good reason for this choice as compared to The Neighbors’ Window, both of which have some nice buzz. Given the subjects of both, I’m just flipping the coin to A Sister.
Animated Short Film
Dcera (Daughter) Hair Love Kitbull Memorable Sister
My choice: ????? Likely winner: Kitbull
Why Kitbull? Pixar.
Cinematography
The Irishman Joker The Lighthouse 1917 Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood
My choice: 1917 Likely winner: 1917
Film Editing
Ford V Ferrari The Irishman Jojo Rabbit Joker Parasite
My choice: The Irishman Likely winner: Jojo Rabbit
After the Eddies this became a battle between Parasite and Jojo. Ultimately, I think Jojo had more complex challenges achieved more at an editing level. Then again Ford v Ferrari took the BAFTA, so they might pick this up as their only win for the evening.
Production Design
The Irishman Jojo Rabbit 1917 Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood Parasite
My choice: Parasite Likely winner: 1917
Honestly, I’m not sure what way this is going to break. Parasite has the most inventive design of the field (Jojo is fun, but not quite as sharply done), but 1917 recreates WWI down to such a level of detail it’s almost distracting.
Costume Design
The Irishman Jojo Rabbit Joker Little Women Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood
My choice: Little Women Likely winner: Little Women
This is one of the few places Little Women can take an award and the costumes are wonderful period pieces across a huge range of the era. That is usually what takes the prize.
Visual Effects
Avengers: Endgame The Irishman The Lion King 1917 Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
My choice: The Irishman Likely winner: The Irishman
To recap my original argument, the invisibleness of The Irishmen’s f/x is what makes it stand out in this field. It’s biggest threat is 1917, which deserves it as well. It’s a small enough award that Netflix hate may not overwhelm sense.
Makeup and Hairstyling
Bombshell Joker Judy Maleficent: Mistress of Evil 1917
My choice: Bombshell Likely winner: Bombshell
Bombshell managed transformations the others didn’t, though Judy was certainly a magnificent effort.
Sound Mixing
Ad Astra Ford V Ferrari Joker 1917 Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood
My choice: 1917 Likely winner: 1917
Sound Editing
Ford V Ferrari Joker 1917 Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
My choice: 1917 Likely winner: 1917
NOMINATIONS BY FILM
Provided just for reference, but certainly interesting to consider when considering who has the attention of the voters.
Joker (Warner Bros.) – 11 The Irishman (Netflix) – 10 1917 (Universal/Amblin Partners) – 10 Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood (Sony Pictures Releasing) – 10 Jojo Rabbit (Fox Searchlight) – 6 Little Women (Sony Pictures Releasing) – 6 Marriage Story (Netflix) – 6 Parasite (Neon) – 6 Ford v Ferrari (Disney) – 4 Bombshell (Lionsgate) – 3 Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (Disney) – 3 The Two Popes (Netflix) – 3 Harriet (Focus Features) – 2 Honeyland (Neon) 2 Judy (LD Entertainment and Roadside Attractions) – 2 Pain and Glory (Sony Pictures Classics) – 2 Toy Story 4 (Disney) – 2

What is your preferred method of making aesthetics? (Programs, websites, where and how you find your images, the creative process in general?)
this is an interesting question! a rundown under the cut:
program: GIMP because i’ve used it for years (interface honestly sucks but it works)
websites/images: 99% of the time i use Pinterest, i also snag stuff off my dash (fashion, historical and whatnot) and when i’m really desperate i try googling. whenever i make an aesthetic, i look in my folders first which are organised vaguely by character and whatnot, then i go on a search binge and save everything i like into those folders for use another time. oh and on my main blog, i tag certain things as inspo so i can look through it later.
the process…sometimes i start with a character/pairing/theme i just feel like doing (or a request), sometimes i have an image lying around that inspires me to something. the colour scheme generally takes shape as i look for images and find that i’ve got good green ones or whatever (then of course the ones i want to use that AREN’T right, i have to fiddle with or abandon…this is the most arduous part, i think). i always want nice clear images of models to represent characters and while i have some regulars, i value the look of the photo more than using the same person every time. finding good faces is hard but it’s super important, both looks and expression (and whether it works in the composition). if it’s a pairing, finding suitable couple images is really hard but really worth it. then i like good strong ‘abstract’ images to fill it out, i always value something bold and quirky if i can get it (illustrations, especially vintage, and so on). vague imagery is not good. if i want text, i like to find something like old newspaper excerpts, i never just type something myself. i like strong colour schemes, contrast and impactful pictures, with everything very on-theme- if it’s a picture of flowers or something, then it’d better be really sharp and colourful. balance in the composition is really what makes aesthetics pop too- if you overanalyse my aesthetics, you’ll see multiple levels of balance to the images. the obvious ones would be putting the faceclaims in opposite corners and so on, but i also balance colour and other imagery carefully (although mostly just by feel, but sometimes with planning).
when it comes to the technical part, the size and quality of images is important to begin with, though since they’ll be small in the overall composition, they don’t have to be AMAZING and i do size up a little or mess with proportions if i need to and i can get away with it. i never like to end up with a blurry or grainy aesthetic. cropping is a real skill, lol- a totally unfitting image can look amazing if you crop right, this is particularly true of faceclaim/model pics. i’m cautious with greyscale images because fiddling with the colours can end up looking awful (i’m too lazy to colourise for real so i just tune the existing colour up), and i think using them too often as-is can look bland (i always mix greyscale pics with coloured ones). broadly speaking i up the contrast and whatnot on most pics, basic stuff. when using GIMP, i always make sure my canvas and images are exactly the right size (i stick to 1000x1400 usually, the two-column ones- that’s 8 images sized at 500x350, but i do change sometimes. there’s no ‘right’ size that i’ve found yet as far as tumblr’s shitty resizing goes). i use snap to grid to position things exactly right. i drop a ton of images i’m considering on the canvas, crop them, resize them and mess with them, then eliminate them as i go along and mess with the positions until it looks right. i don’t usually put gradients or anything over the entire thing, but i have on occasion.
generally, making aesthetics for me is about being really picky, really patient and really obsessed with fine detail, lmao. i also try to keep plenty of images on hand in ORGANISED folders. it helps to not give a fuck and do whatever inspires you (there’s a reason i do 90% nyo!austria). also look at other people’s aesthetics for inspiration and…what not to do (sorry).
as a general rule i don’t use fanart, cosplay or anything like that, it defeats the object for me. i also do not like seeing tons of quotations shoved in, especially of the emo teen variety, especially in bad fonts. very blurry, grainy, desaturated or otherwise bleh images are a no-go. super famous celebs as faceclaims is also jarring for me and i’m VERY fussy about how these characters look in my head (i’m okay with lesser-known celebs and somewhat-known models, lmao). for the record, i often mess with models’ eye colour for obvious reasons. extensive photoshopping is beyond me, though- i usually just tweak (though i HAVE edited a tattoo out, badly!)
what i DO like is pictures of food, i love food. illustrations, bits of wallpaper, newspapers, animal pics, shots of just lips/eyes/hair, single unusual objects, fashion, really funny/IC text posts, jewels, and a strong contrast of colours, etc…that’s pretty much what i like. oh and sexy images. i toyed with the idea of animated (explicit) gif aesthetics once but i’ve not done it yet…

New Post has been published on http://sswitv.com/donald-trump-didnt-want-you-to-see/
Donald Trump Didn’t Want You To See
1. The alleged mistress.
No campaign is complete without an appearance from a mistress. In this case, it’s former Playboy Playmate, Karen McDougal. She claims that she had a tryst with Trump in 2006, the year after he married Melania. The story made some headlines, and McDougal can certainly prove she’s at least met him, but it didn’t blow up the way some thought it should. Her account never made it to the tabloids, but Karen did get paid. Hmmmm.
2. Not the photo op he was hoping for.
When politicians hit the pavement, there’s a lot of work to be done. You have to meet your constituency and energize your base. You also do a fair bit of schmoozing, and hopefully kiss a baby or two. These two wee ones were less than pleased to be enveloped in the arms of Donald Trump. Trump made light of the moment by imitating the fussy babies, but it still serves as a metaphor for how many citizens in the States currently feel.
3. His long-standing friendship with Hillary is well-documented.
During the election, everyone saw the photo of the Clintons hanging out at Donald and Melania’s wedding. Supporters of his brushed it off, calling it a casual, almost incidental, appearance. But this photo featuring Trump’s comments say otherwise. He is a longtime fan of Hillary’s! Here he is with Mrs. Clinton and two of his sons, who probably didn’t dress themselves.
4. Oh, more meetups with the Clintons.
Last year, Trump had a lot of unkind things to say about the Clintons. It seemed that there was no limit to his ire. But as time (and the internet) has revealed, that’s a recent development. Here he is sharing a laugh with former president Bill Clinton. No comment on what Trump is up to with his (really quite large, not at all tiny) hand down there.
5. He really loves his pageant contestants.
Oooh, he’s a bad boy when it comes to pretty ladies. One of Trump’s most passionate ventures has been beauty pageants. He previously owned the Miss Universe contest, among others. Contestants have come forward to complain about Donald’s penchant for walking in and out of their dressing areas as he chooses. Stefania Fernandez, the winner shown here, is doing a good job of keeping her cool and defending her personal space
6. Too close?
Looking at these photos of Donald with daughter Ivanka, it’s all a matter of opinion. Some parents are more affectionate than others. Sitting in your father’s lap can be a normal and appropriate display of comfort and security. There has perhaps been no female more important to Donald than his eldest daughter. It’s kind of sweet, is it not?
7. Perhaps.
Yeah, it would be heartwarming, except Donald has deepened suspicion with questionable comments. He told Howard Stern that Ivanka has “the best body”. How would you know, Mr. Trump? He also told Rolling Stone that “if she weren’t his daughter…”. Excuse you, Donald?
8. Not enough hairspray.
Ah, the perplexing work of art that is Donald Trump’s hair. For years, many claimed that it was an awful toupee, but get real. No wigmaker would manufacture that. Trump sports a classic comb-over, growing his hair out long on one side to be carefully arranged across his head. On this day, Melania hid the hairspray.
9. Say ‘cheese’!
Surely you can relate. You smile for the camera, and later find that your eyes were closed. Such was the case on this day for Donald. Something tells us that this one isn’t on display in the White House. But you never know, maybe Steve Bannon has it framed on his mantel.
10. He actually loves SNL.
Over the past few months, Trump has really let Saturday Night Live have it. The POTUS is extremely angry over negative portrayals of him on the sketch comedy show. But he was whistling a different tune not so long ago. He was very proud to have hosted the show in 2015. These days, he calls the show a tragic failure, and claims that no one watches it anymore. Meanwhile, viewers can’t get enough of Alec Baldwin’s impressions of him.
11. A for effort, Mr. President.
Here’s our president throwing the opening pitch at a baseball game. He’s really putting his all into it! You know, one thing about this photo is sure to bother him. He’s complained about photos that show his double chin. Glad he let his guard down for this snap.
12. Not very presidential.
Donald Trump will get his point across. In doing so, he will use hyperbole, make impossible promises, ridiculous facial expressions, and wild gestures. What’s that you say? His hands are tiny? How dare you! They are huge hands, terrific hands. Everyone says they are the best hands.
13. Finally, a new ‘do!
Okay, okay, this photo isn’t authentic. It’s a crafty Photoshop piece that sure is amusing. The POTUS trades his epic comb-over for an on-trend man bun. It does kind of suit him. Maybe on your days off, Mr. President?
14. He really hates his double chin.
Rumor has it that this is Trump’s least favorite photo of himself. He doesn’t want it published anywhere. How much do you want to bet that anyone who does is peddling “fake news”? Here’s the truth. Slackening of the skin is completely normal with age. Millions of people have double chins, and the world continues to spin.
15. Too little, too late. And still wrong.
Trump stood out early on for his intolerance toward Mexican immigrants, to the point where he came off as racist to many. The future POTUS decided to smooth things over last year by eating a taco bowl on Cinco De Mayo and posting the pic. What’s the problem? Taco bowls are not authentic Mexican fare. And even if they were, he says that the best ones are made at Trump Tower Grill in NYC. He capped this off by proclaiming, “I love Hispanics!” Sure.
16. More canoodling with his teen daughter!
Okay, scratch that statement explaining that a daughter sitting in her father’s lap can be normal. It certainly can, but these two are pushing it. Seriously, did Ivanka do anything during her teen years except go to school, pose for the cameras, and cuddle with Daddy? Here she is grinding on Dad’s lap during a concert. Donald’s focused on the show, but the man on the right seems to speak for us all – “What exactly is going on with these two?”
17. Quite an animated speaker.
Donald’s scathing remarks played second fiddle to the viral images that emerged from the campaign trail. This photo features a combination of his least favorite qualities. For one, it was taken with the camera facing up, exposing his chins. This angle is also not the most flattering perspective from which to admire his totally adequately-sized hands. And finally, that’s the exact face-scrunch that Alec Baldwin is practicing right now.
18. He did a pretty good job, too.
Maybe that sounds generous, but he was a very good sport. Here he is doing his rendition of Drake’s popular music video, “Hotline Bling”. He dropped his intense façade and even wore a lighter suit. He’s not much of a singer, and his dance moves are typical of a 70-year old man, but he might actually be having harmless fun. Very humanizing.
19. His words, not ours.
After Obama won reelection in 2012, Trump was fuming. And what better place to express his anger than on his favorite social media site, Twitter? Trump also called the electoral college a “disaster” for democracy. The irony! Four years later, he lost the popular vote by millions and won via the electoral college. Naturally, he changed his tune quickly, saying the electoral college is “actually genius”. What a surprise.
20. LOG OUT, DONNY.
As proven by millions of women who marched across the country in protest the day after his inauguration, the majority of Trump’s fans are not female. This incident is just one of many that sparked the new gender revolution. While campaigning for the Republican nomination, Trump attacked Ted Cruz’s wife, Heidi. The image is intended to give the impression that Trump is better than Cruz because his wife looks prettier. Although Trump is not above dragging his adversaries’ families through the mud, he hates it when the same happens to his loved ones. Still, this photo won’t help Melania’s allegedly-forthcoming “anti-cyberbully” work.
21. *eyeroll*
Among the most contentious issues brought forth by his campaign, climate change proved to be very divisive. Trump’s administration denies global warming, despite scientific evidence to the contrary. The climate change page was even removed from the official White House website, and the Environmental Protection Agency is in jeopardy. Unfortunately, this tweet proves that Trump lacks a fundamental understanding of the science behind climate change. Freezing temperatures and increased precipitation are often the result of slow-moving jet streams caused by melting Arctic ice.
22. There’s no way around it – he’s really orange.
Trump hasn’t made friends with scientists, women, or Mexicans. But he sure does love a nice artificial tan. In recent years, Trump has become known more and more for his orangey pallor. One good thing about this is that he makes sure to avoid the delicate eye area. Hey, if you want to be remembered, you have to have personal style, and this is his.
