if there was a bit more blood and cuss words in puss in boots 2, it would be rated pg13. which means they’d be allowed a singular “fuck”. there are many possibilities on where this could be, my favorite ideas being:

-“Woah, oh! What took ya so long?! Fuckwad.” Dumbass could be nice there too.

-“I fucking LOVE the smell of FEAR!”

-“Fuck you, Puss in Boots!”

-“YOU’RE a fucking MONSTER!”

For real tho, I think it was too early for Dreamworks to release the trailer for bad guys 2, because now I'm going to think about it way more oftenly than before & the wait is gonna feel longer and more tedious.

I get they want to generate excitement for the movie, and it's cool that we get our first look at it. But even the first one didn't get its first trailer until there was only 4 months left before it arrived in cinemas.

You're right. The first movie did not get a trailer until 4 months prior to its release. I somewhat feel the same way as you, perhaps they could've waited until we entered 2025. However, it's nice to see what we can expect for the sequel and how they will adapt the rest of the books in their own way. It's not the first time this happens with a movie, this was also the case for Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, which got its first trailer 9 months prior its release.

Fun fact: The directors of both movies are best friends. They even organized a double screening of both movies with a Q&A in November 2022.
