I absolutely love the capes from Alberta Ferretti Fall 2017 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Alberta Ferretti took a trip to Venice for her fall 2017 collection, mining the city's romantic landscapes and rich history. This beautiful cape is inspired by Venice with sumptuous and vibrant red velvet and gilded lions. The lion that is embroidered on the cape is the Piazza San Marco’s famous lion (lion of Venice) which is an ancient bronze sculpture of a winged lion which came to symbolize the city – as well as one of its patron saints, St Mark – after its arrival there in the 12th century.
