Delicate Poll - I need your help

Hear me out. As you all may know I am writing interactive fiction for adults. With this come scenes that contain explicit adult content. That was my choice.

Though there is one topic or part of it, which I am not 100% sure how to handle and I hope you can help me out by sharing your opinion.

Feel free to share this poll, because I think, the more votes and opinions the better.

What this poll is actually about you may ask? Ok, let's get to the point.

This poll is about how to handle explicit or intimate content when regarding teens / young adults.

SPEAKING OF CHARACTERS BETWEEN THE AGE OF 15-18 YEARS

For example, my MC and the ROs are 90% of the story adults and acting like such. You have the possibility to engage in intimate physical moments (optional) . Speaking: Sex. These scenes will be explicit. So far so good.

BUT! My characters will also have the possibility to engage in - to some extend - intimate moments with other characters when they are still teens / young adults. Referring to their first sexual experiences.

Now my problem is, I am not sure how to handle those. I am torn between the weight of this sensitive topic and that it would have to be - in my eyes - treated respectfully, while on the other hand I am not sure if it is alienating this topic if I decide to simply cut it and fade to black automatically.

You see where my problem is?

I don't want to be a hypocrite but also don't want to write any cringey YA explicit turning old creepy folks on kinda stuff.

Thank you for reading this and helping me out. Like I said, the more votes the better, because I really have no idea how other authors handle this (my memory is lacking any relatable problem).

Your Neighbour (Police Officer)

they approach you two and tell the stranger to leave you alone, now! When the stranger does not listen they grab their arm behind their back firmly, lock it, immobilizing them - making them wince slightly. Then they ask if you're ok, and when you nod, they tell you they'll be back in a minute. They lead the stranger away and return as promised. For the rest of the night - if you wish - they will stay at your side, doing their best to distract you from this unpleasant encounter.

Your Ex (Rich Kid)

they step between you and the stranger without hesitation "Hey shitface, didn't you hear your advances are unappreciated here? So I assume you're either deaf or your ears are full of shit, and if the next thing you don't wanna do is eat shit, I suggest you move it. Now!" they roll up their sleeves, ready to break a nose. When the situation is handled, you can see the relief on their whole body instantly, they go for a tight hug, pressing your body against theirs, then they look into your face "Are you ok?" sincere worry written all over it as they search your eyes for any kind of hurt.

Your Best Friend (Photographer)

they step up next to you and try to deescalate the situation through talking, keeping the stranger at a distance physically if necessary. They pick out their phone, ready to call the cops. This whole situation will be a back and forth for a bit but your bestie manages to convince them to leave in the end. "I'd suggest some food and drinks now. What about burgers? Ice cream? Or do you need booze?" You'll spend the rest of the day together.

Your Childhood Friend (Student)

they feel helpless and angry at the same time. They approach the scene with confident steps yet shaking hands. "Stop! You.. you.." they huff "rude person! Leave them alone!" the stranger is confused and looks back between you and Bianca. When the stranger's expression changes into something unpredictable and they fully turn to address Bianca, it is you who stops them. To brush away this unpleasant moment you two go to the movies.

Your New Friend (Musician)

„Heyy, heyy there. My friend.“ You and the stranger look at them. „What do we have here?“ they try ro reason with the stranger and ease the tension but it doesnt seem to work at first. The dynamic changes once the stranger recognizes them „Don‘t I know you from somewhere?“ „Possibly my friend…“ „Don‘t call me friend asshole.“ - a few exchanged less friendly words later… „listen, there‘s nothing a little money can‘t handle, no?“ 100€ later you‘re free to go and owe your new friend…

let's pray they don't have their skateboard with them when they see it, because should they really decide to intervene, then you better run (?) - it's getting ugly. Yeah, well. awkward rest of the day. What's it gonna be? Run from the police? Get drunk at a bar? Or wild sex somewhere anywhere where tf are you even rn?

Your New Foe (Lawyer)

he grabs the shoulder of the stranger and turns them around violently, his face showing he's ready to act in any way necessary. The fabric of the strangers jacket still between his fingers, he pulls the stranger close to his face "Fuck. Off." That was convincing enough. When he look at you there's a hint of worry you have never seen before but it is gone in a blink of the eye. He will hesitate but then offer to drive you somewhere...your chance

Your Best Friend‘s BF/GF (Model)

you notice them approaching through a vast amount of Italian swearing that you never heard before, some words familiar, others sounding like worth learning... when the stranger turns around to face them, the first personal greeting is a slap across their face. The swearing won't stop. The stranger back away from your crazy Italian company but they step only closer, swearing more and raising their hand, the back of it facing the stranger once more. The stranger begins to mumble and stutter, their steps getting quicker as they finally decide to make a run for it. They apologize for being so... intense. Obviously the only appropriate way to handle you and your traumatized soul is the offer of a personal massage, some good food and time alone.

Your Doctor

they announce themselves and when the stranger turns around, they are already at a nose to nose distance staring at them. This comes by surprise and the stranger considers on how to react next. But the doc only steps closer their foreheads now almost touching. "Can I help you?" they ask. When the stranger asks what's wrong with them, they only respond with a short "You." The silence and proximity are enough to make the stranger leave. Then the doc's attention is on you, they are worried sick and you can see their hand trembling slightly. They place their hand on the crook of your neck, gently brushing the skin with their thumb, their hand running up along your neck to your face before it stops on your cheek. Moving in closer they finally embrace you, planting a kiss atop of your head. You're free to choose what you're doing next, they will swap their shift with somebody at the hospital.

you see a shadow approaching but before you know what's up you hear a snap and a wince. That was a finger. D has the stranger in a tight grip, the glint in their eyes making the blood rush from your face. They turn around and toss the stranger into the arms of Fernando and another person you are not familiar with. Then D approaches you with quick steps. They click their tongue, their hand grabbing your chin as they inspect if any harm has been done to you. You don‘t dare to move and once they are done, they take your hand and pull you along with them, their grip unusally firm.

Your Dealer

they approach you with confident steps and demand attention „Do we have a problem here?“ When the stranger turns around, their expression hostile, Sparks waits a second for any reply. Instead the stranger purposefully minimizes the distance between themselves and the redhead. With a quick move Sparks draws a knife and the stranger stops, seemingly unsure, judging Sparks. „I’ll ask one more time. Do we. Have a. Problem here?“ A few quick freestyle butterfly tricks and the stranger responds with a „N-no, no problem here.“ „Good. That’s what I thought.“ Sparks returns with a mischievous grin, moving closer to you and placing an arm around your shoulder. „So, what‘s next?“ they ask you.

A Stranger

They notice something is seriously off from afar, grabbing inside their pocket they pick out a stun gun, just in case. When they get close enough they address the stranger and offer the option that it‘s either some sparkling experience they‘ll remember from tonight or a night at the police station if they don‘t leave asap. It works. They offer to take you to their place or to yours.
