Show Me Your Moves! || Forte & Raguna
@therunefarmer
It had been a long while since she had a training partner. The idea of it even put a little pep in her step as she walked to her training spot in the forest. Back home she had a secret training spot only she and her father went to, but she didn’t mind sharing this one with other people.
After checking to make sure she had all her gear for sparring, she headed straight to the spot to wait. As always, she arrived a little early, but that was okay with her. This way she could warm up as she waited for him. The young man from the scavenger hunt she met, Raguna. She didn’t really know what his capabilities were, but she figured since he wanted to train he was at least interested, and that was enough for a good training session.
Starting her warm up exercises, she made sure to keep an eye out for him. Hopefully, her directions weren’t confusing.

Berry Nice to See You Again
@therunefarmer
・✧ *:・゚❁ — It had been a few months since Holly was on the archipelago, Arcadia specifically, but she didn’t forget the wonderful people she met while she was here. One of those being her (admittedly dorky) boss, ex-boss, Raguna. It was a good thing she wasn’t working for him considering she sort of told him that to his face. It was all in jest, but some people could take that the wrong way. Luckily for her, he was a pretty lax person, from what she could tell.
Not exactly as an apology, but more as a note of appreciation, and just a simple visit. So, the blonde made a trip to the farm she once worked at with a little something for the farmer. In the short time she worked here, she learned several things from him, so as thanks, she brought a basket full of fresh fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries.
She held a hand up to her forehead in search of him, but it didn’t take long for her to spot the person she was looking for.
“Raguna!” She waved over to him, then skipped over to the brunet. “I brought a gift for you! Oh, and I’m back, but that’s kinda obvious, hehe...” She held up the basket and held it out to him.
#therunefarmer#raguna: berry nice to see you again#pi:raguna#(( tfw i realize they never had a proper thread ))#(( at least they had the founding celeb dance ))#(( also what if he didn't remember her s;ldkgjfl ))#(( *shakes fist at his amnesia--* ))#(( sorry for the 20 tags LOL ))

Falling For... }♡{ Raguna&Lumina
@therunefarmer
Lumina took one last glance at the mirror before deciding it was time to go. Giving her hair a final touch-up, she closed the door behind her with a click and then bounded down the steps of her apartment to the dirt pathway. She walked at a rapid pace. Work didn’t start for another hour but she greatly enjoyed the stroll and figured that being early was preferable to being late. Besides, the extra hour meant plenty of time to enjoy the changing countryside. It was that time of year when everything was in between, and flowers still bloomed despite the chill but the trees were no longer dark greens but rich shades of walnut and crimson as they fought to find where they fit into the season. Basically, it was beautiful and something you just could not find in the city. The brilliant colors and the magic of the outdoor’s air were only two of the reasons that Lumina was happy to have chosen to move here.
Her speed slowed down to a crawl almost immediately as she passed by a farm filled with neat little rows of plant shoots and untamed wild flower bushes. Towards the back she could see a few rows of animal houses but Lumina wasn’t sure the man actually had any animals as she hadn’t seen them. Plants maybe were his focus? Back home there had only been two farms but Arcadia was home to several, each more beautiful than the last. Several more reasons she was thrilled to have moved here. Along the trail some of the wild flowers and bushes that covered the perimeter of the farm and busted through the sides of the wood fence were bigger than even her and she had to walk on her tiptoes to peer over the top of them, eager to take in as much as she could. It was a silly thing to do but she was too distracted to think too hard about it. Lumina finally reached a clearing at the entrance where the plants had not grown as tall. She stopped and tentatively entered the open gateway. Peering past the fields to the cottage at the side she wondered if maybe the man who owned the farm was away. With no sign of him near his fields, she began to turn to leave until she noticed a figure approaching her.
Shoot!
Her hands began to shake and she started anxiously flipping through excuses as to why she was standing around aimlessly on his property. She wondered if it was obvious as to why she had been visiting so much. Surely her love-lorn eyes weren’t too much of a giveaway? A brief flash of an idea was that she should not wait around for him but instead run right past him. She couldn’t be questioned if she ran. Pushing that thought out of her head she realized that not only would that make her look even more like a weirdo but he was already mere feet from her. Lumina straightened up and smiled nervously, a shiver in her voice, “ H-hey! Isn’t this such a nice place…? ”

Haunted || Raguna&Sabrina
@therunefarmer
There’s not a single day that goes by where the screams of a defenseless child haunts her dreams. Voices echoing in her mind... ‘You’re a monster’. ‘I’ll never forgive you’, ‘Get away’.
In the past, she would avoid any confrontation with her regrets. Running away is all she was ever good at, but today... Today, is different. No more running away from the agonizing pain she inflicted onto herself when she was a child. No more wondering what could’ve been if only she accepts it. Accept the fact that not only did she almost kill someone, but perhaps... Ruin their life.
Karma’s a bitch, ain’t it?
Behind the masked perfume she wore, hid a stench of smoke. One that doesn’t quite smell like regular cigarettes. Hey, if I’m gonna go through this, might as well reward myself a little early. Regardless, anxiety still bit at her even through her hazed mind. Her hands shook violently each step she took towards... The door. The door she avoided her entire life since leaving Arcadia. And behind the door, lived the biggest mistake of her life. The first mistake that caused her to run away from home, slowly tumbling down into despair.
One, two, three knocks. Shakily holding onto her hands together as she stood impatiently. A rush a cold chills ran through her veins as the sound of footsteps slowly became more and more audible, feeling her heart pound harshly against her chest when the knob slowly turned. And finally, the door opened. Prepare for the worst.
Both her eyes dilated the moment they landed on a man. It took several seconds and a few rather awkward mouth movement without words. “H-Hi. Are you... By any chance... Raguna..?”

Scream for Ice Cream || Raguna and Lanna
@therunefarmer
Singing was her passion and Lanna intended to keep improving as best as she could. There was always room for growth! So, that's exactly what she intended to do. She ventured out to Fugue Forest on one of her days off because of the open area and fresh air, she figured that would be the best way to stretch out her vocal capabilities.
First, what any good singer would do, warm-ups!
She cleared her throat and took deep breaths in and out. She began with the most basic of warm-ups and her voice cracked maybe just a little here and there. It was okay though! These were all just warm-ups. After a good twenty minutes of warm-ups, she took a break to grab some water she had on hand. Gotta stay hydrated with all the singing she was going to do!
She started back up with a song that was a little difficult for her current range, but that's what she was trying to do, stretch and challenge herself and her vocals. While she was singing, a few or several of her notes may have been a little off key. Her session got cut short, however. In the middle of her song, she heard a voice and footsteps. She placed her hands on her hips and frowned.
"Hey, who's there?" How rude of someone to interrupt her singing!

Hewwo || Raguna & Violet
@therunefarmer
Violet made it to Raguna’s farm in the late morning after she passed out several other bundles of flowers around town. She fetched his bundle out of the little basket she had hanging from her arm, and his was similar to a few other bundles she had given out. Two red alstroemerias and one white carnation she grew herself. However, unlike the other flowers she had given out, which were left somewhere to be found, she walked up to Raguna’s house only to see the door open.
“O-Oh! H-Hello Raguna!” Violet called out, walking over to him with a shy smile on her face, “H-Happy F-Flower Festival! I-I have these for you.” She offered him the small bundle of flowers.

New Moon
@therunefarmer
Pandora had learned to track the moon cycle. For everyone new moon.... Her long, claw-like nails retracted to normal lengths. Where her fangs once were, there were now dulled down, human teeth. Silver hair turned a dark brown. Eyes a mossy green. Her ears no longer pointed.
All signs of her demonic heritage she didn't know about vanished. And with it, her magic too. She was now completely human and completely defenseless. Every month she was reminded just how weak humans really were. Locked inside her room, she waited. Just before she hid into her room, Pandora told Raguna that she was turning in early.
He must have known she wasn't sleeping, presumably because she left the light on, because he knocked on the door and asked if she was hungry. She told him to go away and that was that...Back to waiting until she got tired enough to sleep. Hours later, her stomach grumbled. She should have hoarded some food before locking herself in. It was late, so Raguna was most likely asleep. She could probably sneak into the kitchen and get something to eat unnoticed.
Unlocking her door and pushing it open oh so carefully, she crept into to kitchen and head straight for the magic ice box. Opening the door, she blinked her eyes, adjusting to the light in contrast to her dark surroundings. That wasn't the only door that opened however. Perhaps because her enhanced senses were dulled, Pandora didn't hear the door to Raguna's bedroom creak open or his footsteps echo down the hall.

𝓂𝑜𝑜𝓃𝒹𝓇𝑜𝓅 | iris noire & raguna
@therunefarmer
•。 ❀ With the sun setting beneath the horizon, and the clouds made way for the stars to peak from underneath the twilight that blanketed the sky -- Iris Noire awoke from her deep slumber. Humming a melodic tune to express her gratitude to the spirits for welcoming her to the waking reality, she arose from her bed and spent no time lingering whilst getting ready for her ventures in the nighttime. At this point, she had become accustomed to a routine that she followed over the course of the week prior to appearing at the Dragon King Shrine to perform her duties -- contrary to popular belief, individuals _did _visit the shrine during the witching hour for whatever reason it may be. Sometimes they simply could not sleep and experienced their fair share of insomnia. Sometimes, though, they sought guidance and answers in their darkest hour.
Alas, it was her livelihood for the time being - until she moved on to the next thing, which remained distant in the forefront of her mind. The young woman perused the path that winded through the outskirts of the heart of Arcadia - where the tree canopies appeared to be painted like the sunset containing shades of red, yellow, and orange. It was this path she most adored, for around the corner came one of her most favorite sights on this island - the farm called Fantastic Flowers.
She fell astray from the paved path and trod through the grass towards the main building where the shop was located. From there, she stopped a couple steps in front of the entrance where she held a marvelous view of all the flowers that were blossoming - glowing and shimmering as they basked in the moonlight. Iris Noire softly smiled, pleased to see that these natural beauties were cared for; however, the smile quickly faded away when the door behind her was swung open by someone inside.
Iris Noire slowly turned around to face the stranger, watching him as he screeched to a halt and maintained eye contact with her. “Good evening,” she greeted the brunet gentleman, “I hope I did not startle you... I wasn’t aware that the shop was still open at this hour.”

Paper Lanterns || Sonja & Raguna
@therunefarmer
Next to the flower festival the lantern festival was one of Sonja’s favourite events on the island of Arcadia, the night sky would always be ablaze with beautiful glowing lanterns and it felt like such a time of joy and renewal.
She was on her way to Raguna’s house, this year she was planning on spending the festival with him. She knocked on his door, calling out her nickname for him, a bright smile on her face once he arrived. “Are you excited?!” She began, holding up a small but charming paper lantern, adorned with a floral pattern. “Did you decorate your lantern, too?”
The tricky part was finding a nice place to watch it all unfold, though, “I’ve been thinking about where we can go, and I thought the mountain, but that’ll be full of people, won’t it? So I’m not sure where will have the best view…”

@therunefarmer
Lily knew that her sober self would be mortified by her actions, but the alcohol-induced haze seemed to erase all emotions to do with embarrassment and replace them with amusement. Seeing the man’s surprised, confused face after she’d kissed him out of nowhere made her giggle uncontrollably. She didn’t know why she’d decided to kiss him out of nowhere. He was cute, and she’d wanted to see what would happen. She didn’t need much more reason than that in her drunken state.
“You look...” she began, trying to get her words out through her giggling, “Really funny!” She gave his hand a clumsy pat as if to comfort him. “I’m sorry! I couldn’t resist!”
She leaned her elbow on the bar and rested her cheek in her hand. Noticing he didn’t have a drink in front of him, she asked with a slight slur, “Aren’t you drinking?”

Guild Bros { Dirk/Raguna }
@therunefarmer
Dirk yawns as he clears out some of the accomplished requests on the board and reorganizes the pending ones so they’ll be seen more. While the guild hasn’t been quiet, Dirk himself hasn’t gone on any adventures as of late. He should fix that soon. He looks over at the requests on the board and finds himself wondering if he should take one on. Even that sea monster from ages ago was still out in the wilds, yeesh.
“I’m not sure if I should be jealous that you get a ton of action, or be glad I don’t come back every week or so full of injuries.” He turns towards one of his guild-mates, a certified veteran when it came to explorations, but also a prime example of why you shouldn’t push yourself too hard. Dirk liked his fair share of adventure but was not too fond of getting injured all the time. “All work, no play is bad, ya know. You doing anything after work?“

Enemy Spotted
@therunefarmer
When Brodik heard of the tournament being held, he was immediately interested. He was tempted to enter, but figured that wouldn’t be a smart move for a spy. There was a better plan after all. Fighters from all over Pelago would be there to compete, the perfect place to search for Weber.
That hair...Those eyes...Brodik felt his heart pace quicken when he laid eyes on the brunet wielding a sword. He knew it had to be Weber. Not exactly what he expected him to look like, but they never are.
Brodik had to stop himself from rushing in. He had to think this through. Public wasn’t the best place to confront him. Also, he doubted Weber would come with him willingly, so he might have to use force. Better to not cause a scene. So instead, he waited patiently and was met with an interesting sight. The former Sechs soldier let his opponent win. Brodik could see the cowardice of a soldier who ran away. There was no doubt in his mind at this point.
There was no point in staying any longer. He had found his target. Waiting until Weber left the arena, Brodik slipped out of the audience and followed. He followed the man all the way to a farm...?
“A farm? Heh.” Brodik chuckled to himself under his breath. He had heard that Weber said something about moving to the countryside and running a farm on a mission. Looks like the traitor got his wish.
Now how would he go about doing this? He would have to sneak in, but that would be difficult with such a small house. From his spot, crouched behind some bushes, he could see Weber moving in his home. The figure disappeared for a second, and the door creaked open. Brodik saw those blue eyes peering out and knew he had to go. He had a location, now he needed a plan.
Once the prying eyes were gone, Brodik made a run for it and returned to his inn room. He spent most of the night devising different plans.

Just a Librarian || Aquaticus & Raguna
@therunefarmer
Aquaticus had admittedly become reclusive during his time on Arcadia. It was not like he would miss out on anything of importance. He was able to sense the ongoings of the island, such as the recent resurgence of the summon spirit Shadow. He was just on the island as a watcher, after all. If Shadow actually proved to be a threat - rather than rely on careless displays of power to destroy buildings - then Aquaticus would have made moves to intervene. Thankfully, he could trust in the urge for humans to fix their own mistakes.
He walked outside, feeling content to let the sun pass over him. His primary goal that day was to check the area on Mt. Reinier in which Shadow had been residing. He wanted to see if Shadow had made any lasting damage to the earth. And if there was, Aquaticus would simply have to rectify that damage with whatever power he could. Either provide the land with water, or secure the abilities of another who could utilize magic he could not. It was simple logic, really.
Just as he arrived on the road leading towards the forest - and ultimately the mountain - he felt a pair of eyes on him. Aquaticus stopped, turning his head to spot an earthmate staring right at him. He recognized that emotion. Shock.
Perhaps it was a natural reaction, especially if the earthmate had not been in the presence of one of his kind before. The only other Elder Dragon in the region thus far was Terrable, who decided to wither away on the forsaken land of Leuda. Why Terrable found contentment in those minds, Aquaticus would never know.
“What is it?” Aquaticus called out to the earthmate, “If you wish to converse, talking is much more preferable than gawking.” He turned his head back around and continued to walk towards the mountain. If the earthmate wished to talk, then he would have to do so on Aquaticus’ time.

Who’s There? [Raguna & Candace]
@therunefarmer
Candace isn’t one to really go back and forth between Leuda and Arcadia, mostly because she sort of wanted to avoid seeing her grandmother and end up sad because she and Luna still can’t help pay off that damn debt. But alas, she was forced to go to Arcadia once again to do an errand for work. She didn’t complain much when her boss, Evelyn, had told her to do a few things at the sister shop in Arcadia so she was whisked away as soon as possible.
She enters the shop and opens it up, meticulously making sure everything is in place. She lets out a long sigh when she finished then flipped the sign from “closed” to “open!” Candace positions herself at the counter, waiting patiently for a customer or another employee to arrive. After a few minutes of just standing there, she got a little bored.
Due to her boredom, she decides to start on a new jacket design she had in her mind for a while. She was so busy with her sewing that she didn’t notice there was someone who entered the store.
It was only when the person called out to her that she noticed. “Oh!” she exclaimed, pausing from her work. “S-sorry!”
