Jolene is my MC so she attends RAD as one of the human exchange students. When she first came to the deveildom, she thought it as divine punishment for dropping out of highschool. Her best subject would be potions, her view being like 'it's like magical cooking!'. She would also very much enjoy art class, despite not being a very good artist. As for clubs, if there's some sort of choir or musical related club she would join that.

Relationships and Personality 09 What makes them soft?

Seeing someone at their most vulnerable and still accepting and taking care of them. This goes both ways. She has some pretty bad mental and physical health problems, and when those around her still support her without judgement it makes her feel a lot more relaxed and comfortable with them. On the other side, if she's someone at a low point, even if they're someone she doesn't really like she would try to help. Depending on the situation, her help might be more awkward than helpful, but those reminders that people are people really opens her up. (I'm assuming I understood the question correctly)

I supposed compared to the rest of the cast, she is chubby, has flab and rolls. One thing that's a bit unique for a human is her skin tone, it's juuuuust a bit on the uncanney valley side of pale and cool toned. It's part of her family lore, they all have a similar look. Jolene actually looks the most human out of them, ironically. If she knew them lol

for this new years resolution i added one more, perhaps the most ambicious and the hardest so far: i decided to block up all IA sites and resources.

i do know that they are quite useful if you know how to manage them. they are definetely a time saver for manual and burocratical activties that demand more physical labour rather than intellectual. and i used it for about one year with those porpuses, because i knew that asking GPT to write things for me could be a risky, dangerous and an addictive no-turning-back decision.

im aware that this statement sounds silly and isnt an actual problem for many, but i find thinking a insubstitutable exercise. therefore, my questions are: why cant it be hard? why should it be easy? why should it be fast? AI tools were invented so we could use them to save time in manual tasks and use that saved time for resting or spending more time and energy in intellectual tasks. because somethings in life are hard by nature and you cannot change it. thinking is one of those things.

writing a good text will take time. finding good words, too. that is why dictionaires exist. reading will take longer because you have to pay attention. books will be harder because you will face something new for the very first time and unfamiliarity is essential for learning. developing your thesis will be tremendously harder because - in case you havent realized yet - you are becoming a PhD specialist in a field, and it recquires a lot of studying.

learning IS hard. good texts ARE hard. and its part of the process going back and foreward in a non-linear line to develop a new acknowlegement.

it doesnt mean i wont use AI to transcript interviews, or even maybe adequate my curriculum for a new job, but i wont let it shape the way i face hard tasks.

that being said, no more 2x videos, no more AI to solve brain problems that will make me smarter. this text is full of errors, it doesnt have a vast vocabular, and if i want to improve that (and i do), ill make sure it will be done the old fashioned way. as long as it takes.

I don't know who needs to hear this but this is exactly what the unibomber was saying in his manifesto. He said it in a highly political and hateful way but the meat and potatoes of it is that he saw people get all caught up in ideas that seemingly to him had no physical impact onto them and decided to sort people like that into a group and claim activities that entertain or take away from time spent doing things that he considered to be of use to society were so called surrogate activties.

During my headache-related insomnia again the other night I kept thinking about Ice King from Adventure Time and...

Only now I'm kind of realizing that in SOME WAYS, he and Faunus have things in common, mostly emotion-wise:

- Faunus is very attention-seeking, not just out of his own egoism but also out of loneliness. He doesn't have any real friends and never has until he was accepted into the cult of Sons of Gluttony.

- His backstory before the cult is mainly enveloped in mystery, as in- nobody (or very little people) know about where he came from, etc. and he will do anything to keep things the way they are. He has destroyed/will destroy anything thay remotely digs back up anything of his past.

- Even if in a serious relationship, he doesn't like digging into the past which easily results in anger outbursts that y'know kinda sours things up in the moment, OR he is the most awkward person alive which just kind of makes it sad when he attempts to do fun activties with a partner bc you can tell he doesn't have many relationships (set up a picnic in his garden not actually outside bc he doesn't like them yucky bug-covered trees and yucky outside-grass; playing board games in complete silence with a few awkward questions thrown here and there like "so, what kinda things do you do for fun on your own?", he might be a charmer when he's still a stranger with people but behind closed doors he turns into a 24/7 robe-wearing grumpy old man and when in a serious relationship that requires him to open up he becomes a shy teenager hermit)

- he 100% misinterprets his partner's feelings/what they're trying to communicate with him and instead goes off with his own personal assumptions of what they're trying to tell him, and it's not until after things are said and done that when things are finally clarified with him he then goes "well why didn't you just say so??" 💀

Ah and we can't forget that Faunus too slowly goes insane with time, given Barathrum's influence, so he has limited access to how much fun time he can have with his partner if in a serious relationship, before he (temporarily) completely forgets and his brain goes nonsense-broodbeast-mode™️. And if the emotional immaturity wasn't enough to drive away partners before, his gross physical anatomy transformation will 100% do the trick for most since he becomes less gentlemanly & well-mannered, and more animalistic & unhinged, behaving more like a fly that only sometimes has coherent thoughts and they're all about hallucinations he's having or being hungry (picture dr. Brundle during his final stages of fly-transformation in The Fly 1986 + Ginger acting less like herself as she gradually loses herself to the werewolf in Ginger Snaps).

according to wikipedia, Dominique has Raynaud Syndrome, and is dyslexic. I wonder if Waverly’s hatred of being cold stems from the former, and I’d love to see it addressed in the show. It would be a legitimate, sincere way to address disability, which they really haven’t. 

Also, I want to do a character study focused on the idea of Waverly combatting dyslexia while trying to fit in at school, and do research in secret.  (and mad at Percy Jackson for making her think it would help her with Attic Greek…) Meanwhile, Wynonna aces the tests that don’t require studying, and steals books from the library to pass the time hiding from her latest foster “father….” 

Obviously, whatever difficulty Dominque has had in her life due to these diagnoses are her own, and not comparable to the experience of a fictional character.

Over the last 3 decades, the obesity rates in children have almost doubled and tripled in teens due to their inactiveness and less physical activities. With the recent changes and developments taking place in various sectors, people have become more inclined to the comfort activities and indoor entertainment, which have distant them from various physical activities like going to park, playing and sweating.

Something dawned on me recently. I don't think there is a single occasion in the entirety of the Star Wars prequel movies or the Clone Wars series where we actually see younglings - playing.

Just playing like normal kids. We see plenty of stuff with them training, going on missions to build lightsabers, doing what we would call martial arts, etc.

But when it comes to engaging in activties purely for thier own pleasure or entertainment? Nothing. The only time it comes close is perhaps during the Yoda's Vision scene in Season 6, but that's literally a vision sent to tempt him.

I'm not talking about the novels or anything else here, just the visual media.

Well, that’s one of those things they don’t show due time. they have limited time to tell the story and moments of levity that are not character driven get cut away. That’s why we don’t see them going to the bathroom simply because they must lol

Friggin Eat It Mean Brain Worms

Whenever I start to fall down the doubt spiral of ADHD doom (“but what if I don’t have ADHD, what if I’m actually just a terrible person who doesn’t try hard enough and who somehow accidentally managed to manipulate a specialist into thinking I have ADHD?”) I like to take ADHD “tests” to remind myself that yeah, actually, my brain is 13 trash fires masquerading as 12 feral cats in a trench coat and that actually, my ADHD is both

a) pretty severe and

b) entirely unmedicated due to my physical health being the equivalent of a meteor strike masquerading as 13 trash fires.

Anyway, this one has a cool pie chart with colors which I found quite helpful compared to the usual number scales. But also, lmao, help...

A. Osteomalacia is incomplete mineralization of normal osteoid tissue after closure of the growth plates; the same condition in children is known as rickets. It produces soft bones and bow legs. Osteomalacia is common for instance in chronic renal insufficiency (aka renal osteodystrophy).

Osteopenia is low bone density despite adequate mineralization due to more osteoclastic activty chewing up bone than osteoblastic activity laying down new bone matrix. It is measured by DXA scan at the hip and spine and is defined as a T-score between -1.0 and -2.49.

Osteoporosis produces brittle bones (rather than soft ones). It can be seen on plan xray films when the bones are more black than they are white. It is defined as a T-score equal to or lower than -2.5 on a DXA scan. Osteoporosis is also diagnosed when a person <65 years old breaks a bone with minimal trauma.

Pro-Tip: DXA T-scores are compared to the bone mineral density of a health 30-year-old woman.

What do all the Hazbin Next Gens think of Twyla?

Again this is how the characters would genuinely feel about her so I’m sorry if it isnt what you expected. I cant remember word for word what the tweet said but I remember seeing a tweet from Vivziepop saying that the demons in hell do fear Charlie to an extent, but overall I think they just hugely disrespect her/have a lack of respect for her. I dont think demons in hell are really fond of ‘weaknesses’ such as kidness 

Aldo - He isn't as easily annoyed as his farther, but still does get annoyed more quickly then most of the demons in the hotel. Aldo doesn't really see himself as the kids babysitter type due to his interest in science, hes worried he may come off as annoying and he’s pretty easily pushed around by demon kids such as Iridescence, who can seemingly get away with anything when she is left under his care. I think Aldo wouldn’t mind Twyla, but he wouldn't like the nickname ‘Aldy’ so he’d probably correct her every time. 

Tristan - Again, isn't really the kids type due to his age and personality, but on the whole is a tad more better at handling kids then Aldo. Tristan is most certainly not a pushover and will not tolerate misbehaving from Twyla if he was to ever watch her, he’d be stern but would forgive her if she apologised. Will maybe particapate in activties with Twyla such as reading perhaps, but like Aldo wouldn’t like the name ‘Tristy’

Riley - I headcannon that exterminators don't kill their own kind, aka angeols, they’re only designed/created to kill off demons. In all honesty Riley would probably be the one to take Twyla and immediatly leave her to the exterminators so that she could be handed back over to heaven where she belongs. Again, she wouldn’t hate her, but Riley personally wouldnt want to have the stress of dealing with an angel - let alone a CHILD ANGEL - while her and Lucas are trying to fight off exterminators

Velvet - Thinks that Twyla should probably go back to heaven, its not that she hates her, but being the daughter to a tryant Velvet knows that some demons (maybe even her farther) wouldnt hesitate to manipulate Twyla into becoming their personal little weapon. I think on the whole they’d get along, Velvet is pretty laid back and being very dramatic she’d probably join in with sing alongs or play pretend. 

Brinda - In all honesty would probably be very confused as to why an angel is in hell, she’d probbaly think Twyla was a fallen angel or maybe half angel half demon, hence why she’s in hell. She’d probably question to her mother why they’re keeping her at the hotle and not trying to reutrn her - although Brinda wants to support her mum she isnt as naive as her, and does know that some demons will use Twyla to their advantage. But if they got to know each other I’d say they’d get along, Brinda would probably join in with a few small games

Francis - Is a shy kid and he doesn't really interact with anyone in the hotel, he keeps to himself a lot so i dont think he and Twyla would interact much.

Crash and Dash - in short would just be all round annoying asshats, tripping her up, pulling her hair, scaring her, taking leo and playing catch with him, calling her things like ‘short stack’ or ‘’runt. Crash and Dash are pretty boisterous so they would probbaly be kinda mean 

Nero - Like with anyone else, would punch her if she got annoying. Due to her upbringign from Vox Nero looks down at girly things with disbain, so Twyla being all kiddy kiddy and girly would reallly anoy her. She would slap punch her with no hesitation if she got on her nerves, and if the plants starting acting up around her she’d either stomp on the plants or threaten Twyla to stop it or she’ll get physically angry

Mathew - Only hangs out with demons with superior titles such as tryants and royals, his grandparents probbaly dont like angels so he likely wouldnt either. He’d find her annoying

Kiki - Is very chatty and nosy so she would literally jabber for hours while Twyla is barely able to get a word in, however Kiki looses interest in things very quickly, she can never stay focused for very long so she would probably just roller blade off somewhere else while Twyla is talking

Junior - Sorta similar to Nero, Junior would find her annoying. Since Junior prefers to focus on his studies he would find Twyla’s littel games stupid and he would just outright say it to her face (he’s pretty opinionated). If Twyla ever tried to touch him he would slap or scratch her becasue he has a fear of being touched, he would HATE any nicknmae he would give her and would correcther harshly:
