I CANNOT WAIT FOR YOUR 1.6 FIC!!!!!!!!!!!! maybe this would be getting into too much detail about the fics in advance, but the thing about at least one of the fics being in the same universe as the other two fics made me think of something I've wondered related to that scene in 1.6--the scene is obviously very consensual sex that Lestat is thrilled to have, so there's no comparison between Louis and Magnus OBVIOUSLY, but I have wondered if the rough sex combined with other physical injures would make Lestat think about Magnus during that at all...I could see it either way, that maybe it would, or that his feelings about it are so so different that it wouldn't (and maybe it occurred to me more because he talked about Magnus AFTER that scene). And if he did think about Magnus at all, would Louis pick up on anything? He wouldn't have any context for it at that point. ANYWAY, whether or not there's any shades of that other stuff in it, a 1.6 fic from you is going to blow my mind with hotness--that whole scene was so brilliantly done and begs for more fic to flesh it out--so I am extremely excited.

Bahaha, thank you, anon!! The cat's lowkey out of the bag with the photography one now, because an anon did send me a prompt that sort of formed the basis for it (but hopefully they see this and know that I'm working on something too, haha).

The reunion fic is one I'm really, really loving writing now that I've found my own way into it. It kind of feels like it's own beast in so many ways, which I've really enjoyed. I've read so many great reunion fics and didn't want to write something until I felt I had something fresh to give this little fandom space, and this story has just opened up to me in unexpected ways and been a bit of a gift creatively. It's pretty different from what other people have done, so I'm sure some people might not like it, but hopefully it resonates with others.

The structure of it has let me weave basically a bunch of Rue Royale-era fresh memories/mini-fics, practically, into it too, which has made me very happy to write, haha.

And yes, the Magnus question is a really interesting one for 1.06 - I've answered something before that I now can't find, but it is really interesting that the show chose to position Lestat disclosing the cliffnotes of his turning after (very consensual, as you said! but also) clearly rough sex + feeding. Like you said too, Louis has no context at all prior to Lestat's partial disclosure (and one Louis has obviously read into what Lestat both did and didn't say given Claudia and Daniel's reaction, and Louis' own behaviour in Magnus' tower). I tend to view the show linking those scenes as Louis seeing enough mmmm, physical and emotional give, I guess, in Lestat to allow him to come home again after his abhorrent act of violence against Louis, but I also think it's partially this performance of compromise.

Like, gosh, the dynamics at play are even a part of why there's room for Claudia to cast doubts on Lestat's honesty, right? But yes, sorry, more to your point, I don't know! The victim-survivor experience is not a uniform one, and how memories surface is anyone's guess. With my writer hat on, I tend to think the dynamics play out so differently, not just with Lestat and Louis' mutual love for one another, but Louis being a character of such warmth and heat, affection and lust, that it would hopefully be enough of a separation to Magnus that Lestat could ground himself. But yeah - - who knows at this point. I've said it before, but in the books, Lestat's a character who just like - - doesn't deal with enormous trauma, which is a part of why Claudia rightfully haunts his ass, so I'm really curious to see what the show does with that.

Plot for a potential anime:

Photographer Death™

A struggling photogrpaher takes photos of people with a camera and if he cuts them out of the photo, they dissapear from reality. He has his discovery episode, probably in the pilot episode. He keeps this a secret until he realizes he can become a hit man to make bank money, now however this happens idk. Additionally, some people who discover he has this ability, want his ability so they try to steal his camera but they can't make it happen, only the photographer can. The photographer tries it out with random photographs from magazines but it doesn't work, only with photos he has taken- now with any camera or the specific camera? idk. This can open up a whole series of him trying to book hitman photography sessions with hits so that he can make them dissappear or having to take sneaky shots of the hits from affar and make them dissapear. Now whether there is more of a plot to this than just he is a hitman idk. And what about the plot where the police start to catch on to these dissapearances? And what about the moment the police start to suspect it is him?

Edit inspiration credit my mom: What if he has a change of heart and ends up wanting to bring the targets back to life after the fact? Can he?! Idk, I'd be curious to see this plot point.

He had really tried. But the only camera he had ever touched since he was a child was an old polaroid that they had gotten with their friends while living in Lukso and the paper had run out soon. So taking pictures with his phone was not one of his greatest strengths. Kurapika still kept the photo that Senritsu had given him in his wallet and he wanted to reciprocate with something similar, so after taking a shower, he took one, two, three, countless photos but they all made him feel insecure, or they came out blurry, or poorly framed. Finally, after a lot of trying, he took a selfie that went from his lips to his bare stomach, his necklace handing in his chest, also showing his other arm which was more tonned than at the beginning thanks to the training. At least the fact that his face was not completely shown did not make him feel ashamed. After printing it out in his office, Kurapika put it in an envelope and waited for the two of them to be alone in their shared room to hand it to her, though he couldn't help but feel somewhat embarrassed when she took the envelope in her hands. He had really put his best effort into it.

"I must admit that I admire you, Senritsu, this is not easy at all"

Kurapikas heartbeat had been through the whole workday a nervouse song that dancing to would have made even a nimble dancer like Senritsu stumble over her own feet because it was too fast and hasty of a tact. It had her worried, so although they were on work Senritsu found herself carefully tilting her head in Kurapikas direction as often as possible until the sines in her neck started to ache as much as the worry for the other twisting in her chest. Therefor when they eventually were alone in the room and Kurapika handed her the envelope with the picture, Senritsu almost started to laugh over the picture. Not over the motive, that was beautiful. Not over Kurapikas shyness turning into nervousness and panic in a shrieking melody. Not over this at all. But because he was relieved. Relieved that Kurapika had been not aching but just nervouse and shy. Relieved that he trusted her enough to share such a picture with her. Relieved and happy that he wanted to gift her such a picture. So all she did was reaching out to the man sitting on the futon beside her and gently tapping her fingers against his arm, trying to slow down the nervouse orchestra that was his heartbeat, his breathing, the way he sat tensed.

“Dont be so harsh on you, I for one had help when I did those photographs. And extra pair of hands, so to speak.” An extra pair of hands that had been on my skin moments before that, tracing the lines of my tattoos. Senritsu did not added this, after all it would have been of no use: Kurapika knew Senritsu had been in relationships before meeting him, but also that she was not out to make him feel insecure and compare himself to other people. Especially not when the echo of Kurapikas insecurity turning his heartbeat into a light, fast flutter like a panicky birds wings was still clearly hearable for her much too keen ears. “I however take whatever admiration you offer me so dolcissimo. Its balm to my ears, please admire me more.” Senritsu winked up to the other in all good humor, a chuckle friendly and welcoming dancing on her lips just for him. Than, carefully as if she was worried she could crumble the photogrpah and therefor harm Kurpaikas hard work, held up the photograph a little higher so she could look at it while also having at Kurapika reflect in her dark eyes like in a sea of ink.

“Beautiful. I think its a very beautiful picture.” Past the photograph Her dark eyes wandered up to Kurapikas face, moving as slowly as a caress over his eyes, the shape of his nose, the form of his jaw, and the fine lines of his lips. Senritsu still very directly and very purposely looking up to Kurapikas face, smiled as innocently as she was defintive not, adding with voice sweet like a song:  “Mhmmmm….Not as beautiful as what I am looking at right now, though.” [ @skarletchains ]

I found this video really interesting, because Todd Hido's work isn't a style of photography I have really explored myself when photographing my own images, or looking at other photogrpaher's work. Liminal or abandoned spaces was always something that intrigued me as a young child, but not spaces I have really focused on when shooting my own work. The idea of taking these lonely appearing images externally, usually with a light still on in the house, then allowing the viewer to interpret their own narrative is a fun and unique take on the form of photography. People usually photograph to tell their own or someones else's story. However, these shots are taken in a way that do neither, but allow the viewer to think how they like about it and feel differently depending on the association they make with the photo.

Anyone with a phone can capture history with the use of their camera.

I’ve been a photographer for about two years now, and throughout these past two years i’ve never thought about the fact that i’ve been capturing moments in time that would be considered historical due to time being in continuous movement. Even before i owned a camera i’ve loved taking pictures with my phone of things that i thought were beautiful. Things such as the sunrise or sunset, trees, landscapes, buildings, animals, my friends, and so much more. It brings me so much joy to be able to capture these moments. 

However, even though i continously took pictures with my phone i never thought about being a photographer until i took a digital photography class my senior year of high school. I went into the class soley because i needed extra credits. As someone who likes to think they’re very creative i thought this was the best option. I remember the first time i got to take the camera home for the weekend, i went to Kansas City with my friend to support her getting her senior photos done. While i was there i was taking photos too and the person shooting her pictures ended up sharing some tips with me on photography. The photos i took that day will always have a special place in my heart because they’re what made me fall in love with photography and the idea of being able to continously create and capture moments. i ended up keeping the camera the whole semester and never returning it because i was always taking pictures. And i did the same the next semester in the digital photo 2 class. 

I think the topic i chose to write about connects to my love for the camera due to the fact that anyone who is a photogrpaher or anyone who has a phone is able to capture history as well.

2. Tadaaa, färgat Ronja Rövardotter-hår i ametist-ton. Valde inte det svartaste svarta, korpsvart, vantablack men till hösten tänker jag mig det som en fin kontrast. Stor planer, ni hör va. Fräknar och ögonfransarna i filter nr 2 tänkte jag testa att göra verklighet utav. Borde man även testa en gardin-lugg? Är verkligen inte för det där med att styla hår så man vill inte måla in sig i ett hörn.

”Tuffa” beslut. Sagt sarkastiskt. Beslut kan man återkomma till på söndag. Vet inte vad jag ska tycka om Sveriges beslut i NATO-frågan, även fast det känns högst troligt. Men inget är sagt just i detta nu. Invasion ifrån ryssarna har dock simulerats i ett SVT-program innan Ryssland startade kriget i Ukraina. Och dom svar som gavs var inte tydliga nog. Snarare märker man att det finns ingen tydlighet. Den ena säger si den andra så. Si säger sammanfattande att man kan ge upp i kriget typ och den andra (vilket kommer ifrån militären och ÄR den enda sanningen) om att alla uppgifter om att Sverige ger upp ska ses som falska. Vi kommer aldrig att ge upp.

Nä, ska inte fastna med tankarna nu, så lätt hänt en regnig kväll. Måste sova och dagen har varit lång. Längre än lidandet i Passion Of The Christ. Min telefon ville skriva Christian haha. Godnatt
