25. Do you like to draw in silence, or with music?

With music, or some kind of noise in the background for sure! I cannot do silence, I find that it is just all the more distracting. I'm relying more on audiobooks or video essays on youtube nowadays though, as I have listened to my favourite songs on repeat for so long that they no longer have the desrired let-my-brain-latch-on-to-some-part-of-it effect, which is just very very unfortunate D:

LAST SONG: Remember Them by Jorge Rivera-Herrans (it's from a mini concept album based on the cyclops episode of the Odyssey and it's soo good and he'sgot such a fantastic voice too!!!)

CURRENTLY WATCHING: Justified (I'm in the middle of s5 finally, I might as well finally finish it this summer!) And I'm always constantly watching The Clone Wars because I'm always a single decision away from finally watching the last siege of Mandalore arc but... I know what it is that I'm actively avoiding.

CURRENTLY READING: One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez (I was really curious about this Magical Realism thing and what it is, and remembered that I'd tried to read this book back in high school.... which was arguably a very bad time for it because 16 year old me really couldn'tsit through a book about things just happening, but I would give my arm to know how my pearl-clutching literature teacher would have taught this novel to us lol) also if audiobooks count I'm just starting Rogue Protocol from The Murderbot Diaries. It's awesome.

CURRENT OBSESSION: that one wrinkle in the middle of Tem's forehead - I swear I was going to be less weird about this one, but rendering that single crease out is my most favourite thing ever and could pretty much be the single reason why I will keep painting clone portraits for a while yet (even if they weren't such an apparent big hit on my blog lol)

“Those are your vows? They’re awful, re-do them,” Yennefer’s velvety and cutting voice startles Jaskier’s soliloquy in front of the mirror, and he flinches so hard he hits his knee on the sink. “Bloody hell, you she-devil. You half-scared me to death. What are you doing here?”

“Preying on the innocent, stealing souls, having fun. The usual.”

“I don’t see any innocents here, you may leave now.”

They look at each other for a second too long, and then laugh. Jaskier pulls her into a hug, kissing her forehead.

“We didn’t give you a key so you could just barge in as if you own the place.”

“You should’ve known better,” Yennefer smirks, patting Jaskier’s face, “Can’t believe the both of you are finally getting married.”

“It was bound to happen. Eventually. I mean, we’re here now! How’s Geralt?”

“Miserable. I don’t know why you both thought it’d be a good idea to spend the last week apart. You’re both idiots.”

“I miss him like crazy. I can’t wait to see him,” and he does. So much. He’s going stir-crazy without Geralt, his life less exciting without him there to share it with. The colors around him not as bright when Geralt’s not around, and oh god, he’s a walking cliché, but he loves Geralt so much.

“Then don’t. Go see him. He needs you, and you probably need him too.”

Okay, so usually the reasoning behind why I keep listening to a song on repeat is either "I love the energy of this song" or DinCobb (or "I listened to this song one time and yet suddenly Spotify decided it should be on every single playlist of mine why??" but that's the rare option lol). My taste in music really isn't all that complicated ^n^;
