La Historia de Tintin. Tintin viene ideado y realizado gráficamente en el 1929 del diseñador belga Georges Rèmi que se firmare Hergè, para el semanal francés a historietas ilustradas Le Petit Vingtième, un suplemento del diario católico Le Vingtième Siècle. Tintin representa una icono del historieta ilustrada mundial y en particular del historieta ilustrada francés belga, en efecto la serie a historietas ilustradas constituida de bien 24 publicaciones todos firmares por Hergè, ha obtenido un grande éxito especialmente en Francia tal para que le ha estado construida una estatua de cera para el museo Grévin de Parigi. Tintin es un joven reportero de la inteligencia y de la intuición digna del mejor detective, y es caracterizado de un mechón de cabellos rojos, un suéter, un par de pantalón al zuavo y una cabeza oval con dos ojos muy pequeños, pero avispado y expresivo. A pesar del estilo del historieta ilustrada puede parecer de tipo humorístico, Tintin es el protagonista de bonitas historietas ilustradas azarosas, con historias en cada parte del mundo: Europa, extremo oriente, ex Unión Soviética , Medio oriente, Africa, America y hasta sobre la luna. Conjuntamente a su inseparable perro Milou, un fox-terrier blanco muy inteligente, viene continuamente implicado en complicados historias policíacas, en enigmáticos misterios arqueológicos, en enredados espionajes internacionales y en luchas contra criminal inaprensible. En estas aventuras aparecen unos personajes muy característicos y extravagantes, que ayudan y contribuyen a la resolución de casos enredados y situaciones peligrosas en los cuál son implicado el nuestro Tintin. Recordamos el Capitánes Haddock, un clásico lobo de mar con gorro y pipa, huraño y pendenciero, pero generoso y grande amigo de Tintin. Hay luego dos gemelos de policías Dupont y Dupont, perfectamente iguales, que se alabados de son de los detectives súperes expertos, pues qué para la mayor parte de las veces se ponen en el ay. Los personajes de TintinGrande amigo de Tintin es también el profesor Tournesol, un científico, ( parecido a Piccard el que voló con el globo aerostático más en alto de todos ) en grado de realizar unas invenciones sorprendentes, pues qué al mismo tiempo es muy distraído e imprevisible. Entre las tantas publicaciones a historietas ilustradas recordamos " las aventuras de Tintin - La estrella misteriosa " inspirado a los relatos de Giulio Verne, " Las aventuras de Tintin - Los cigarros del faraón " en Egitto, "Las aventuras de Tintin - Objetivo luna ", " Las aventuras de Tintin - El tesoro de Rakam el rojo ", " Las aventuras de Tintin - El templo del sol ", " Las aventuras de Tintin - Tintin en Tibet " considerado una verdadera obra maestra intrascendente, "Las aventuras de Tintin - Las joyas del Castafiore " donde conoceremos el cantante lírico Castafiore, fino a llegar al último relato de Hergè " Tintin y los Picaros"..tintin sulla luna En verdad la última historia ha estado " Tintin y el Alph-art ", pero desgraciadamente ésta y permanecida inacabada a causa de la desaparición del autor en el 1983. Cada publicación a historietas ilustradas de Tintin es una zambullida en la aventura clásica, donde hallamos combates con los bandidos, ambientaciones exóticas, misterios de resolver, tesoros de hallar y situaciones peligrosas de las cuál salir fuera con el uso de la astucia. TintinSobre Tintin he sido realizados además de numerosos dibujos animados, también dos filmes interpretados de Jean-Pierre Talbot en la función de Tintin: " Tintin et le mystère de la toison d'or " del 1962 con dirección artística de Jean-Jacques Vierne y " Tintin et les oranges bleues" del 1964 con dirección artística de Philippe Condroye. Parecer que también Spielberg en persona tiene la intención de realizar un filme, en efecto sostiene que su imaginario cinematográfico haber sido alimentado también de las aventuras de Tintin. Asunto añadir que el mismo estilo gráfico de Tintin ha influenciado grande parte del historieta ilustrada francés belga y no solo, en efecto basta dar una ojeada también a las últimas serias animan de producción francés para devolver cuento.

UN HOMME À ABATTRE DE PHILIPPE CONDROYER

Cette nouvelle édition blu-ray (chez Gaumont) permet de redécouvrir un long métrage disparu des radars depuis sa sortie en 1967, qui se solda par un échec public. Un homme à abattre de Philippe Condroyer est un film étrange qui échappe aux codes du polar ou de l’espionnage, même s’il s’apparente, par son histoire, à un thriller politique. Le film s’emploie à décrire la traque par un mystérieux groupe d’hommes d’un criminel de guerre nazi réfugié à Barcelone sous une fausse identité. Une fois repéré dans la capitale catalane, l’ancien officier SS fait l’objet d’une surveillance minutieuse et discrète. On comprend vite que le dessein de ces espions est la vengeance, avec le projet de l’exécuter sans autre forme de jugement. En attendant, le début du film pourrait s’intituler « identification d’un homme », avec la description méticuleuse d’une journée modèle et les moindres faits et gestes quotidiens d’un homme seul et sans histoires dans un immeuble moderne. C’est la partie la plus fascinante, entre Georges Perec et Conversation secrète de Coppola, où des voyeurs embusqués enregistrent les moindres détails de leur sujet d’observation, sans qu’aucune trace de son passé criminel ne ressurgisse de la banalité de son existence. Ensuite le film organise la préparation puis l’échec lamentable de la tentative d’assassinat de l’ex nazi, entrainé dans un guet-apens. Le style comportementaliste et glacé du film de Condroyer évoque le cinéma de Bresson et de ses héritiers. Davantage qu’à Melville, c’est aux premiers films d’Alain Cavalier qu’on pense, avec ce mélange de stylisation abstraite – on ne reconnaît rien de Barcelone dans les rues et les foules anonymes des plans de ville – de distanciation, de dandysme et de fétichisme. Toujours à l’aise dans les ambiances troubles, Trintignant incarne à la perfection un agent cynique, comme frappé de frigidité émotionnelle. On ne sait pas grand chose du discret Philippe Condroyer (1927-2017) qui avait débuté sa carrière cinématographique avec une adaptation live d’Hergé – Tintin et les oranges bleues et qui l’a conclu avec La Coupe à dix francs, étude sociologique sur la jeunesse ouvrière dans la France des années 70, avant de réaliser des films pour la télévision. Entre ce grand écart un seul film, hautement atypique, Un homme à abattre, polar conceptuel qui annonce avec dix ans d’avance certains thrillers métaphysiques américains et italiens, où les enquêtes politiques ou policières se doublaient d’une réflexion sur la manipulation des images et le médium cinématographique. Seul bémol, l’introduction d’un personnage féminin improbable – une voisine avec laquelle Trintignant a une liaison – assez hors sujet, qui vient momentanément rompre la formidable et inquiétante tension qui porte le film de son générique de début à sa dernière séquence.

Après quarante ans de purgatoire, La Coupe à 10 francs revient sur les écrans. Homme de télévision, passé du court métrage industriel à Tintin et les Oranges bleues (1964) et Un homme à abattre (1967), Philippe Condroyer opère en 1975 un tournant inattendu après la lecture d’un fait divers qui l’ébranle et à partir duquel il écrit d’une traite le scénario de son troisième et dernier long métrage pour le cinéma. Conditions difficiles, producteur véreux, tournage en 16 mm, son direct, équipe technique réduite et acteurs inconnus… mais un esprit proche de L’Enfance nue de Maurice Pialat.

“Jean-Pierre Talbot on being Tintin

The young fitness instructor Jean-Pierre Talbot had been plucked from obscurity to play the famous boy-reporter in the first live-action Tintin adventure, Tintin and the Mystery of the Golden Fleece. A huge Tintin fan himself Talbot took his role very seriously, refusing to let professional stuntmen stand in for the more dangerous scenes and making sure that he looked exactly the part. Talbot was such a convincing Tintin that producers quickly signed him up for the follow-up adventure. Here he recalls playing Tintin for the second time.

A second film: The Blue Oranges

On 25 April 1964, I sign the contract to film more adventures of Tintin in the cinema. The second film will be Tintin and the Blue Oranges. The scenario is as follows: Professor Calculus has published a book on the subject of world hunger and appeals to his colleagues across the globe to help him eradicate famine. A Spanish scientist, Antemar Zalamea, sends him a parcel containing a blue orange, a fruit which has the capacity to grow in desert soil. Calculus leaves for Spain to find Zalamea but the two men are abducted. Helped by a gang of children, Tintin and Haddock set out to free the two men – seized by an Emir wanting to steal their discovery.

One of the things which also delighted me was the participation of children in the plot. That suited my personality so well and was akin to my life as a teacher.

The crew

I am the only one to return to my role. Jean Bouise was going to replace Georges Wilson in the role of Haddock and Félix Fernandez took over Professor Calculus’ character from Georges Loriot who had played him.

In terms of the production, certain things had also changed. Philippe Condroyer, who was directing the film, was joined by André Barret and Remo Forlani who, accompanied by René Goscinny, wrote the script. Yes, the famous Goscinny!

As for the cast, in addition to the visible changes to the roles of Haddock and Calculus, we welcomed Jenny Orléans, who secured the role of Bianca Castafiore. This time the Thom(p)sons were no longer played by real twins but two cousins who had a wrestling background. To heighten their already existing natural resemblance, we stuck false rubber noses on them. The same was done to Castafiore.

Since Spain was the location, the rest of the actors came from the local population. Needless to say it wasn’t always easy to communicate with them.

Snowy

If all the characters could be played by the same person throughout the filming, this wasn’t going to be the case for Snowy.

He – who would become my faithful companion onscreen – would in fact be played by seven dogs trained specially for the different scenes.

I thus took part in the training of Snowy number one, the main dog, the one who had to follow me everywhere and leap into my arms. Twice a week, I went to the dog-handler to teach Snowy to react as he must in my presence. In a way I was a piece of ‘furniture’ that the dog had to get used to. I have to say that I was very happy to know that this Snowy was Belgian as well. He came from a breeder in Stockel, close to Brussels, and quickly became my favourite. It was he who was most often requested. Of the seven dogs I think I remember that at least three never ‘acted,’ but it was necessary to have enough understudies in case of every eventuality.

We also had a Snowy destined for fight scenes, a Snowy who had to be apprehensive, another who was capable of rolling on the ground to put out the stick of dynamite. And the others on standby…

Georges Wilson, I may add, remembers the ‘fighting’ Snowy very well, because this one was frightened – or annoyed! – by Georges’ behaviour towards him during a scene (the motorbike) and wouldn’t leave him alone, systematically attacking him as if we were filming the pursuit of the bandits.

Eventually the handler had to dress himself in the same clothes as Georges Wilson to deflect the dog’s attention, without this we wouldn’t have been able to shoot. Some dogs are terrible mutts!

One of the questions that people often ask about Snowy concerns his colour. It’s true that short-hair fox wire terriers are never entirely white; they always have two marks, one black and the other brown.

That didn’t tally with the star dog’s immaculate whiteness. No problem – we faded our faithful companion so that we could bleach him with a liquid used to create impeccable gym shoes.

Snowy had the honour of appearing in a Paris Match photo shoot, in a famous hair salon on the Faubourg Saint-Honoré, having his hair dyed between Claudia Cardinale and Jeanne Moreau.

Sadly I don’t know what became of the different dogs that were with me on the shoot. I imagine that the dog-handler kept them. Today they would be auctioned at Drouot’s in Paris.”
