G'raha would be so embarrassed if this became public knowledge, but Meowdred was his bad boy crush during ARR. A gruff, sorta irritable mercenary hero with a growling voice and powerful magic? Curt, efficient, decisive but not entirely ruthless? Sweet on G'raha??? Man the guy was blown away.
"Public knowledge". All the Sons of Saint Coinnarch knew. Rammbroes knew. Biggs and Wedge. 30% of Mor Dhona knew. Meowdred's dad who was staying with the Doman refugees in Doma probably knew. Rammbroes was the one who told G'raha to sober up and that bad boys were BAD news.
#meowdred surana#kind of#meowdred was actually worried graha would think he wasnt educated enough and dumb#since graha was like. a phd guy and everything#theyre platonically married now#sort of? distance relationship??

B Tech Credit Transfer allows B Tech/B E students to transfer credits. This strategy students shift their credits from their current university to a new university. B Tech credit Transfer is Eligible if the students have failed subjects or incomplete course duration. By availing of the credit transfer program, students can transfer to universities without losing their credits. Also, they can complete their course at a new university approved by the UGC. The process of credit transfer is legally accepted by the UGC and the Central Government.
With the Credit Transfer Scheme, one can apply for a job in the same field or apply for higher education. Students can keep their existing credits and not lose them. Academics provide B Tech credit transfer only by UGC and AICTE approved by universities. Also, after completing your studies in engineering, you can apply for positions with the federal government or in the private sector by taking competitive tests like the UPSC, SSC, GATE, CAT, and Bank test. You can continue your higher education abroad after receiving a credit transfer from a WES-approved university. Even if you transfer from your present university to another university, it is still feasible to keep your credits.

Pick a pile — Who is your future spouse?
Please take what resonates and leave what doesn’t, as this is a general reading intended for a wide audience. In my personalised readings, the information is a lot more accurate and attuned to you, so if you’re interested in a personal reading, please DM.
Pile one
Pile two
Pile 3
Pile one (peacock feather)
(Seven of pentacles, King of Cups, Seven of wands, Six of cups, Two of pentacles, The Hermit reversed)
Okay, pile one, I feel like you may have been waiting a long time for this person, or they have been waiting a long time for you. Once you find each other though, the love will be really solid and firm. It will seem to grow out of nothing at all, really. There may be some obstacles before finding your person, some frogs you have to kiss, but you will find your person, potentially at a very stormy time in your life. Your person is a hard worker, potentially dresses down a lot. You may feel like this person isn’t quite from this world, in this world but not of it if that makes sense. They are the calm in the eye of the storm, and you two may be the type to drink together or celebrate generally if you don’t drink and I’m seeing that they’ll be your celebration in the ups and downs of life. For some of you, this person may enjoy surfing or being by the beach or they may come from somewhere by the beach. I’m seeing they might think differently, so maybe some Aquarius placements? You may have to date around a little bit to find this person but when you do, you’ll feel victorious like “aha, gotcha!” Always take the moral higher ground and this will lead you to your person, as they are quite straightforward. Your person may love giving you flowers, I’m seeing you’ll move in together quite quickly, for some of you this person lives close to you or is or will be a neighbour. If you have an ex in your life at this time, you need to forget about them because this person is coming in hot!! Some of you may find this person overseas, on a trip or holiday or you may be a long distance couple. You may first have to get your finances in order before you meet them or you may be moving for your career. Lastly, protect your inner light, guard yourself from unwelcome advances and toxic connections, and journey well, friends!
Pile two (fire in hand)
(Page of wands, ten of wands reversed, Wheel of Fortune, Six of Wands, Ace of Swords reversed, two of swords reversed)
This person could be the explorer type, someone who loves travel and potentially from Egypt or with Egyptian/North African ancestry (omg am I your future spouse? haha kidding) close to the Sahara or just really into Ancient Egypt. They may be from somewhere arid and dry like Texas. They may also work as an archeologist, or travel a lot for their work. I’m seeing your person is very flashy and showy, they may like to show off and dress up. They’ll hold you up when things are looking down and bring your mood wayyy up. I’m seeing that you might see this person potentially as a red flag but they’re really not. They will help you release all your burdens and my god, they give *the best* hugs ever. Your person could be blonde, they might be quite muscular as well. I’m seeing that they live at quite a distance from you, but for some of you it’s just a quick, brisk walk away. This person may take their time getting to know you, you may even see them as a prude or you may be the one who they see as a little prudish, because you or they will wait so long before you get any action with them. They’re very well read, could be an academic or someone pursuing higher education, you know a masters or PhD program. You might even meet whilst studying! This person could be a Taurus or have significant Taurus placements. I see you two laying in the sun and reading together, so cute! Some of you may be into horses or they are into horses, or you may go horse riding together. I’m seeing that this person is very well regarded in their community or society, but that some people may be against your relationship, however you two are way above that. You might have to really dig your heels in with this person sometimes because they can be a little pushy. I’m seeing that again, you will be a little wary of them at first but that will dissipate over time. For some people, this is an intercultural marriage, so you may have some language or cultural differences that will take some time getting used to. For some of you, this person is also really wealthy, almost royalty, or they may feel that way to you. I’m seeing that life has however been harsh to them, regardless of their material comforts, and that they have shed many tears in the past (possibly in secret). Yes, they have had many mountains to climb indeed. You may meet this person near a body of water or on an island, probably when you’re least expecting it. Look out for a crescent moon. Also, this person may have big feet lol!!
Pile 3 (Klimt - The Kiss)
(The page of pentacles rx, the knight of wands, the ace of wands, the five of cups rx, the sun, the fool)
Pile 3, your person may be Scottish or Irish, they’re from a lush green land, with a significant body of water. They may be very outdoorsy, they may have jet black hair, and they will be absolutely fixated on you as the page is on his pentacle. At first, it will seem as though they want to walk away, before they decide to make the commitment. They may therefore be hot and cold with you. I’m seeing that they may be on the bulkier side, lot of dad bods in this pile lol. This person will be almost shocked at how fast they fall for you, and for some of you, this person may be ashamed of their financial status and try to hide it, feeling they are not good enough for you. There’s a lot of passion in this pile, but this person may hide their passion beneath a steely exterior. Some of you may be very into crochet or embriodery, this person will love that. I’m seeing this person may have children or come with other responsibilities that you will find a little hard to accept at first, but things will level out. They may live in the country side, like Ed Sheeran’s song ‘Castle On The Hill,’ but they will relocate to wherever you are. I’m seeing for some of you, this may not be their first marriage. For some of you, this person is tall and thin with salt and pepper hair, so they may be a little older. This person may be a pessimist, you will have to tap them on the shoulder and help them see the brighter side of life. At first, they may seem closed off to your connection, focusing on their past losses, especially if they’ve split from a partner. But eventually, they will turn around and see you for who you truly are, ie the one for them. You will likely have a child with this person, and it will be a beautiful surprise. With this person, you feel like you can be totally naked, vulnerable and yourself and they will heal your inner child. It may be a slippery slope getting to your person though, with lots of potential hazards along the way. I’m seeing they may have loyal and much loved pets. They will rescue you from a very dark place, you may be suicidal when you meet them (if so please seek professional help) and they will swoop in and save the day.
Right, that’s it, I hope you all enjoyed the reading! :)

The Soul’s Desire: Through the Houses
The planet that is considered the “ruler or lord” of the first house gives insight into where “you” as a soul wish to learn or focus on this life. How you will use what your soul wants from this house, the planet that is placed there will give more details about that.
1st Lord in the 1st House- The soul wants you to focus on yourself. Perhaps in your past lives you were always catering to others and focused on taking care of other people’s needs. This time a focus must be on yourself: learning about you, finding you, focused on your own interests, passions and talents.
1st Lord in the 2nd House- The soul wants you to focus on either one aspect of the following or all: your family, wealth accumulation, your identity and sense of morals and what you value. This position could also be about speech or speaking. Perhaps you were soft-spoken and did not speak up in your past lives.
1st Lord in the 3rd House- The soul may want you to engage your neighbors, siblings, cousins or learn about networking, marketing and self-expression. This could be a position of a writer or communicator, perhaps a motivational speaker.
1st Lord in the 4th House- The soul may want you to focus on conveniences and what makes you happy: to build a home, acquire land and luxuries like stable or nice vehicles. This could also be a position that has you focused on honoring your roots, nourishing your home and those who reside within it. It could be a position that warrants healing and growth with mother or mother-like figures.
1st Lord in the 5th House- The soul is looking to be a leader or become more confident it its own sense of creativity and individuality. This placement may make you a learner, someone who is constantly learning about all sorts of things, anywhere between spirituality, psychology, science, religion, etc. This could make you interested in stock trading or speculative investments.
1st Lord in the 6th House- The soul wants you to focus on overcoming obstacles or taking care of yourself and others. You may be someone who loves animals or likes helping people in legal battles, insurance contracts or healthcare.
1st Lord in the 7th House- The soul wants you to get to know yourself through your relationship with others. This could be through a spouse, business partner, network, job or people you meet in everyday life- mostly one-on-one relationships like clients and partners of all kinds. This might turn you into a businessperson.
1st Lord in the 8th House- The soul wants you to explore ups and downs in life or even hidden subjects. This could mean you are someone who can explore through adventure or research, perhaps you are someone who likes to take risk by investing in the stock market or investigating crime or ghosts, subjects related to death or the occult.
1st Lord in the 9th House- The soul wants to focus on higher learning or higher values through religion, spirituality or even higher topics in education or theology. This will lean more towards religion or fixed lines of thinking or being, perhaps finding one’s sense of morality or dharma. You may be one who needs to find this through seeking teachers, mentors, gurus or going a long distance for higher knowledge, wisdom or higher education like certifications, PhDs, or master’s programs, etc.
1st Lord in the 10th House- This lifetime it’s a focus on work and public image. You may be someone who needs to work no matter what because you find that life does not make sense without working! This could make you someone who is a boss that people rely on or an employee that a firm or large organization relies on.
1st Lord in the 11th House- The soul wants you to engage in network circles and social organizations or friend groups, constantly getting to know people and learn about yourself through these relationships. This is also a focus on gains and fulfilling your desires through other people in these environments you meet.
1st Lord in the 12th House- Your soul desires solitude, inner peace, perhaps healing from past wounds from prior lives and eventually detachment so that it can achieve moksha. This might also lead you to far away lands to help others in foreign places outside of your place of birth.
Namaste…

day twenty-two ⭑ kotaro bokuto ⭑ snow man!
tw: fluff, reader gets picked up, slight flashing & age gap
bokuto was terrible at maths.
so it was only natural that he would need to hire a tutor for his kids as soon as they progressed past bokuto's level of numeric ability and he could no longer help them with their homework or topics they were struggling in. hence, as soon as they returned home with worksheets about fractions, he immediately went online to find a private tutor.
however, he went on a website that had pictures of the tutors alongside their names and qualifications, meaning that he inadvertently treated his search more like a dating site than a recruitment process. that is how, despite being able to afford a tutor with a phd in maths and a masters in education, he chose you — a struggling college student who charges prices on the lower end of the scale, since you had yet to attain a teaching degree.
he couldn't have made a better decision though! by now, he had hired you for around a year, thus he has gotten to know you quite well and he can tell you work exceptionally with his children — you teach them in a way that is both comprehensive and engaging, and their grades have seen a massive improvement because of you. he couldn't be more grateful.
today it was a cold winter afternoon, and you had just finished up a lesson with his children. bokuto doesn't like to hover during the sessions but he wants to stay nearby in case you need something, so he was currently in an adjacent room and is able to overhear you say your goodbyes to the kids, as well as them packing up their textbooks and scampering off to their rooms.
he peers into the room, seeing you at the dining table, packing up your equitment. you notice him, so he offers you a bright smile, "how'd it go?" he asks.
"good." you chirp, slipping your laptop and pens neatly into your backpack, "we're working on geometry right now. they both seem to understand area, so we will work on volume next week."
bokuto has no clue what any of those words mean — he may have if you asked him 20 years ago, but not anymore — he's just glad to hear that his children aren't struggling. "volume, already?! woah, i've got a pair of little genius' in my house!" he joked, crossing his arms over his chest and walking towards the window, "that's all thanks to you, though. i'll tell them to mention you in their speeches when they accept the noble prize."
you laughed with him, and there is a little flutter in your stomach as passes you, and you not only catch the lingering scent of his fresh cologne, but you also get a peek of his muscular back — you were aware that he was a retired volleyball player, but it still astounded you how he was able to remain in such an impressive shape. it was so tempting; all you could think about when he was in the room was how much you'd like to be squished between his biceps.
while he talks away, he peers out the window that overlooks the driveway, and frowns. one of the cons of owning such a large house is that it comes with an equally massive driveway, which you always insist to park at the bottom of because you don't want to 'intrude on their space', even though bokuto has assured you several times that you're welcome to park where ever you like and parking closer would surely be more convenient for you. however, he's unaware that the real reason you continue parking so far away from the house is that you don't want to park near the rest of his expensive cars and risk damaging one of them, but you keep this secret to yourself as you don't want him to think you're an incompetent driver.
anyway, during the two hour session you had just completed with his children, it has been raining, and although it had ceased by now, the cold weather in tandem with the damp ground has rendered his entire driveway an icy slipping-hazard! to get to one of his cars could be feasible, but your car was quite a distance away, which would be a very perilous journey.
"the ground outside looks so icy.." he muses, and you shuffle up behind him, peering out the window over his shoulder.
"yeah.." you mumble, staring worriedly down at your uggs had barely any grip on the sole, indicating that you had a better chance at successfully ice-skating back to your car than walking. of course, you didn't want to complain in front of bokuto, so you said, "i'll be fine. a little fall never hurt anyone."
you make the comment with a tinge of amusement and banter in your voice, but bokuto just stares at you in horror, until he refutes with, "you could get really hurt, (y/n) and we don't want that." his parenting instincts kick-in as he explains to you the potential danger and gravity of the situation. as he does so, he guides you to the foyer, where there is a rack of shoes, and he picks up a thick pair of boots on the top shelf, "i bought these ice shoes online. they are supposed to stop you from slipping on the ice."
you nod, about to open your mouth to say 'thank you', but you catch yourself just in time, as — instead of handing them to you, like you expected — bokuto hastily straps the shoes on himself. shocked by this decision, you stagger, "oh, so are you going to walk out to my car and drive it closer?"
you stumble out the first possible idea that comes to your mind, even though it wasn't especially well thought-out. bokuto scoffs as he continues to properly fasten the ice boots, "if i did that, your car would slip and slide all over the place, no?" he asks, and though it may have sounded like a rheatorical question, bokuto was genuinely asking if he corrected predicted the outcome of that situation, which he did.
you furrow your brows, perplexed as to what course of action he planned on taking, so you finally ask, "how am i going to make it to my car if you are the one wearing the non-slip boots? shouldn't i put them on?"
he shakes his head, standing up straight and stomping each foot to ensure that he equipped the boots thoroughly, and he smiles as they remain secured to his feet. "i'll carry you!" he states merrily, like it was no big deal.
meanwhile, all the air was knocked out of your lungs at the mere thought of him carrying you. he must've quickly noticed you becoming light-headed and dissociating, as he inquires, "uh, (y/n), are you okay?"
you gulp down the lump in your throat , and it leaves a harsh sting of anxiety in its wake. "i'm fine, it's just i th—"
"okay, cool. let's go!" bokuto cheers before you are able to finish your statement, and in one swift movement, he scoops you up in his arms and effortless thrusts you straight over his shoulder, so your legs are dangling by his front and your upper body was against his back.
however, not only was this position causing all the blood to rush to your head, but also you were bend over while in a skirt which you could feel had rode up slightly, while bokuto's arm securely wrapped over your thigh, preventing you from pulling it down. so, before bokuto could possibly step outside and accidently expose you to his neighbours, you roughly squirmed in his grasp and protested, "bokuto! skirt!"
that was all you were able to manage while vigoursly wrestling out of his grasp, but thankfully that was enough to convey the message to bokuto, and he swiftly changed your orientation, so one of his arms was now hooked under your shoulders and the other beneath your knees — carrying you bridal style. he flashed you an awkward smile, and croaked, "my bad!"
"it's fine.." you mutter, subtly adjusting your skirt to protect your modesty.
"ready to go?" he asks, giving your shoulders a slight squeeze for emphasis.
"i guess so."
he nods. even with you in his arms, he is still able to extend his arms forward and pull the door open, and shut it behind him. then, slowly but surely, he begins to make his way down to your car. slowly but surely, one step at a time, making sure every movement is precise and calculated, without any rush.
your heart was beating a hole in your chest. you still couldn't fully process the fact you were being carried like a princess to your car by the dad of the kids you tutor. truthfully, you've always had quite a thing for the older bachelor, and you suspected he had similar feelings towards you, but considering the age difference, you always assumed that your relationship would never exceed mild flirtatious comment and chatter.
yet here you were; tucked safely in his strong arms as he carries you like a precious, weightless artifact down his driveway.
bokuto must've misread the excitment on your face for fear, as he chuckles, "you look so scared, (y/n). think i'm gonna trip or something?" he gazes down at you with his cheerful, honey eyes. when you reciprocate his comment with only a terrified look, he continues, "don't be. i won't let anything bad happen to you." and what made you're heart melt for him is that you could tell he was being sincere; with every slow, laboured movement, and the way his eyes were glued to the path in front him, you could tell he was diligently trying to keep you safe.
you still didn't respond, and the journey wasn't getting any quicker, so he attempts to make casual conversation, "this reminds me of my second wedding."
"second?" you ask in shock, under the impression he had only been married once.
"yeah, second wedding." he muses, recollecting of the events of the night, "she wanted me to carry her down the aisle to the carriage that was going to take us to the hotel, but we got married in the alps on a very snowy day, so that took a while."
"oh." you hum, entertained by his story but discontented that he didn't mention anything about the fact he had been married a second time, "did you book your wedding on a snowy day on purpose?"
"no, but it was fun anyway."
"that's good." you mumble, and since it was your turn to make idle coversation, you ask, "do think you'll have your third wedding while it's snowing too?"
he furrows his brows together in concentration, and recollects, "hm, no. my third wedding was on the beach."
was?! surely you must've misheard him, or maybe he just mispoke. there was no way he had been married three times. you wrack your brain for a way to ask for clairfication without seeming too overt or nosey, eventually staggering out, "so, where will your fourth wedding be?"
he blinks, then responds, "i don't know. but i know it will be my last one, and i'll have the most beautiful bride." his eyes momentarily avert from the icey pavement in front of him, only so he can meet your longing gaze. the moment is fleeting, before he returns to carefully trudging over the ice, but it fills you with an immense warm and comfort. something about resting in bokuto's arms and him looking at you with such a sweet glint in his eye was so wholesome, and it made you want to stay in this exact position forever.
therefore, you were almost disappointed when he finally reached the car, "we're here." he states gleefully, shooting you a playful wink as he says, "told you i'd get you here safe and sound, didn't i?" then, with great care, he slowly lowers your legs to the ground and gently places you down, keep a hold of your waist in case you fall over while finding your balance.
your hand finds it way to his bicep as you stable yourself, and you say, "thank you so much; you really didn't have to do all that for me."
"of course i did. i wasn't going to let you get hurt in my driveway." he shakes his head definitively, "it's not like it was hard, anyway. i might start carrying you into the house as well. would ya like that?"
he teases, and he can tell your answer from the way you tense up in hands.

frankly super uncomfortable have “neurodiversity affirming” (now use as meaningless buzzword but demand be treat as this radical thing) be associate with “nonspeaking not nonverbal put/ nonspeaking right nonverbal ableist wrong” so hard two become synonymous. be treat as, only way be neurodiversity affirming is say nonspeaking & never say nonverbal. that MUST only ever say nonspeaking to be neurodiversity affirming. that say nonverbal put you exact same equally as bad as ableist oppressor power holders who actively not give & deny & exclude people who not able mouth speak education & rights & autonomy & humanity.
really have nothing unreasonable or bias against apraxic nonspeakers, or term nonspeaking. really don’t. really do believe they have valuable thing to say n important listen.
but it get really really tiring, n traumatic (not use this word lightly), be constantly screamed at, cursed at, insulted, mocked, called names, doubted, disbelieved, fake claimed, abused because dare casually call self nonverbal without go on 1000 word essay on why (& often times even with that 1000 word essay), phd dissertation on history of these two terms n definitions n histories n uses. to point of every time be outside circle of people who willing understand me (person with cognitive & language disability), severe anxiety & fear & post-traumatic stress spiral of, “can say am nonverbal? should? that get me strangers abuse? should preemptively explain? carefully word it? more detail. more detail.” over one of my most important identity & label. even simple “am nonverbal not nonspeaking” invite people (group that famously describe self as literal & not read into subtext) accusatory question me “why you ableist piece of shit distance self from nonspeaking people, you clearly think people who not able mouth speak incompetent” not expecting answer, because they already made up one for me, already spoke for me, a person who not mouth speak (& struggle w overall communication) they claim advocate for.
n same time cannot pretend that term nonspeaking, nonspeaking advocacy from many nonspeakers, & nonspeaking advocacy from not-nonspeakers, so closely tied with ableism by action of people who use it that it become part of definition, defining pillar of activism. cannot pretend “am just can’t speak but my mind intact (am very intelligent can write just fine)” is value neutral not-ableist sentence. cannot pretend all that ableism against people with intellectual disability (yes, people w correctly diagnosed ID exist) & people with language disorder not exist.
if you can’t separate term nonverbal from it’s ableist misuse history, you not get to have problem with me refuse call self nonspeaking because how so many people use ableism to fundamentally define it. n unlike you, at least am able recognize term nonspeaking, neutral.
am super uncomfortable with “neurodiversity affirming” when one pillar of it is define me out of existence n label me n people who support me as ableist & same amount of evil as my oppressors. is to use me as scapegoat. scapegoat for other people trauma while create trauma for me. whose neurodiversity we affirming?
“nothing about us without us” who the second us? is it actually us, or do you just mean you?
“language important” so “say nonspeaking not nonverbal FOR ALL” but when am push back against it ask be personally called nonverbal ask not use term nonverbal as scapegoat ask please not demonize term nonverbal, suddenly am “too hang up on semantics” and “there real oppression other than argue over online terms” (as if be denied literal actively barred kicked out from community isn’t one) and “can’t speak for everyone”
when these people the one with platform and ability, shaping public views, shaping assistive tech and therapies that am need, even advocating to shape & shaping policies n legislatures.
sure do hope am included in those.
[nonverbal = not able mouth speak. all the time only. not by choice. not sometimes. not temporary. not episode. not “go nonverbal.”]

Seven years of computer science for this, huh?
This line from Kinger could mean three things:
He spent 7 years in college studying computer science
He has 7 years of experience working in the field
A bit of both.
I'm leaning towards the third one, honestly. Some years are spent studying and the rest was him doing his thing (plus getting married along the way), doing projects or whatever, whether it be typical stuff or creating a very immersive VR game (whichever theory you prefer)
As for which degree...I've seen some people headcanoning Kinger having a PhD, but I'm leaning a little more towards a Masters.
I mean...one doesn't have to reach the stars to be successful. Just knowing you're within distance is good enough.
Also, earning PhDs tend to take a long time (4 to 6 years, depends really) due to specific criteria. A Masters can take 2 to 4 years (again, it depends.)
You don't necessarily need a Bachelors to get a Masters or a Masters to get a PhD (though you'd still need a Bachelors in the US in most institutions, so that's some added years in education)
Of course, Kinger could easily just have a Bachelors. I just like the idea he has a Masters.
Take this information however you want.

Hi Mim,, I wondered if you or any of your followers have words/advice on going long-distance with a beloved partner. I have to move far away from my love of 9 years(!) to attend my dream PhD program and we won't be able to reunite for another 3 years while he finishes his schooling. Every day takes me closer to the move and has me more heartbroken even though this is what I want and I believe we can make it through. Any words of comfort from the soracities community is so welcome and needed. <3
I have no experience with long distance relationships so there really isn't much advice I can give, but what I can tell you anon (if you haven't already) is: plan, plan, plan!!! Long distance is always going to be difficult and there's no way around that difficulty so one of your best bets is for both of you to work as hard as you can to maintain open, attentive, consistent, and deeply honest communication.
Figure out how much communication you need and what kind you value most--what about your partner? What are the ways you can make time and space for these despite the distance? Then sit down with your partner and work out a schedule for phone calls, video calls, daily (or weekly) check-ins etc and, most importantly: hold each other (and yourselves) accountable to them. Set out a game plan for how you will tackle conflicts over long distance: if you both are having packed school weeks, or feel you really need to talk about something, agree on a code word that says "I know you are busy but I desperately need you to make some time for this issue / for me" and then agree on a timeframe in which the other person will address it.
For example, you can schedule it so that you both ensure you have at least one weekly catch-up, and one fun date, on separate days that you always keep to: if you can manage something extra, great, but if not: have a baseline minimum you both honour alongside your commitments to your work and education and daily lives (you can even just have a study date where you both do your work together via video call)--your dates can be anything: you can do a weekly movie night with Hyperbeam or Teleparty (or visit the cinema on the same day to watch the same film and then call each other to talk about it), if it's feasible, take a walk together when you're on the phone and make a whole thing of it: pick a nice scenic spot in your respective places, plan your route, let the other know what it's like where you are, bake something together over video call, etc. Whatever routines and rituals you had together, see if there is a way you can carry them over remotely over the next 3 years, or even vary the things you do to make up for the fact that it is remote for now.
I think one of the hardest things to contend with is the sudden lack of physical proximity to each other, and the loneliness that follows especially if you see people around you in relationships having that, so I would also recommend finding stand-ins for that physical closeness. You said you won't be able to reunite until your partner finishes his own schooling--I don't know if that means quick weekend visits are out of the question (either through sheer distance or financially) but if they aren't, absolutely see if you can plan a visit either from your end or his. If not then maybe, along with your virtual dates, write each other letters, or send each other small tokens, postcards, silly little missives, anything to offer a physical piece of yourself to each other but also to remind the other that you're thinking of them and missing them and they can physically touch and hold those thoughts in a physical form.
I can absolutely understand your fear, anon, and it is definitely not easy and incredibly daunting, but I think it is something beautiful that you have had 9 (9!!!!!) wonderful years with your love already and the fact that you are brave enough to take this leap for your own dreams AND have such faith and trust in your relationship and its strength is a true testament to what you have built together over these years. You both should follow your dreams and fulfill them and I wish nothing but the best for the future awaiting you both where you get to combine those dreams and continue building another chapter of your lives together 💗💗💗

From Top to Bottom - Richtofen University AU
Chapter 5: Class Insecta
This time Reader and Professor Richtofen use more than just their bodies to communicate, but they still do not realize the inescapable fate that they've set into motion.
Notes: POV swap: Reader (X) and Edward Richtofen (Primis) | both characters are switches | hurt/comfort, angst w/ a happy ending, mutual pining, smut heavy plot | This started as a one shot, but I couldn't walk away from it so it's been expanded into a full work.
TW: age gap, situationally inappropriate relationship
-X-
Your lips curled down, frowning at him as he gathered your clothes for you. “You did all of that for your pen? ” you said incredulously.
“Of course not, fräulein,” he bent in front of you and tapped your foot so you would step into your panties. “I did all that because I wanted to fuck that gorgeous body of yours. Getting mein pen back is just the ‘cherry on top’ as you Americans say, ja?”
You tried not to get distracted while he ignored his own nakedness to attend to dressing you. Quick, memorize everything you see! Every bone jut, muscle flex, freckle, scar… “But you could use your wish for anything! We said no limits! Why your pen? ”
He didn’t even fumble while snapping your stockings to your garter while he kissed a particular spot he’d seemed to find interesting on your inner left leg. “Because…” he stood to get your blouse on you, working the buttons up (to higher than you’d had it buttoned it yourself), “I want to be tortured daily with the reminder of those dangerous little teeth of yours every time I write.”
Well, yeah, okay, that was a really good answer . He finished zipping up your skirt and when you turned to go retrieve his pen, he lightly smacked your ass. “This is bullshit , Professor,” you grumbled, thrusting the pen out to him while he busied himself with his own clothes. “Why are you the only one that gets to keep souvenirs?”
He chucked, snatching the pen from your fingers before you could change your mind. “I guess it isn’t very fair… is there something of mein you desire to keep?”
You. Your heart, mind, and soul. Forever. “Duh, MY new pen!”
“Nein, I earned mein pen back fairly. Pick something else.”
“Fine…” You chewed your lip. “I… I want your tie.”
He retrieved the black tie from where it’d been discarded on the floor. “A fine choice,” he whispered, wrapping the length of cloth around your neck and tying it for you. You watched his fingers move gracefully, already missing the feel of them in your mouth. You didn’t deserve him. No one did, really. Uncertainty gnawed its way up your throat, choking you.
You didn’t meet his eyes when you asked hoarsely, “Are you going to regret this?” Regret me?
“Nein,” he responded firmly, grabbing your chin and forcing you to see the sincerity in his eyes. “Never in a million lightyears.”
“That’s a distance and a time,” you murmured.
“Und I am willing to both go the distance und spend all that time with you,” he said matter of factly.
“I don’t want you to get in trouble because of me,” you mumbled morosely.
He tched. “Und I would like to stay out of trouble…” he gripped you in an embrace, resting his chin on your head, “…und avoid risking jeopardizing your education.”
You buried your face into his chest. “S’not fair…”
His laugh vibrated through his body. “Nein, it is not ‘fair.’ The predicament complicates this beautiful thing.”
“You were my top pick for PhD programs. I was going to ask you to be on my thesis board,” you whined.
“Und I would have accepted…” He sighed regretfully. “…but one step at a time. You Americans like to move so fast. You don’t even have your Masters yet.”
“I am not switching Masters programs,” you warned dangerously into his neck. “No one else covers aether research the way you do.”
“You are brilliant. I would not kick you from my class because of mein indiscretion with you. If we are ever to be discovered, you will let me take responsibility.”
“ No!” You whispered, pushing him away to glare at him. “There is no way I am ruining the career of one of the greatest scientists of this age because I couldn’t keep my hands off of him!”
Gott, she stroked his ego just a gutt as she stroked his cock! “Can we not argue about this now?” He whined, reaching back out to you. You relented, sliding into place against his body.
“You have to let me go eventually, Professor.”
He fervently wished she was wrong about that, but she wasn’t. She wasn’t often wrong. “Edward.”
“Huh.”
“We are alone. Mein name is Edward.”
-Richtofen-
He was trying to come to terms with the fact that they couldn’t stay in this classroom forever. He carefully ran his fingers through her hair, cursing that he’d lost so much control, tangling it up in his fingers. She deserved tenderness, although she clearly enjoyed roughness. He silently thanked her for letting him hold on to her as the clock ticked the minutes away, only letting go when it was getting dangerously close to the start of his next class.
“Edward.” The way she said it was like she was feeling it out with her tongue.
“Hm?” He checked and made some final adjustments to her outfit, making a futile effort to tug her skirt to an appropriate length.
“When will I get to see you again?”
“Tomorrow. Class is at nine as always, silly gosling,” he teased her, stalling for time while he thought about how to answer her real question.
She stink-eyed him and reached up to pinch his nose hard, which… ow . “That hurt,” he complained, rubbing the soreness out.
“Take me seriously, you insufferable cockroach,” she hissed, glaring.
“Oh, I will always take you seriously, on mein desk, in any of your luscious holes you ask me to take you,” he said playfully, grabbing the wrist of the hand that once again reached for his nose. Her glare softened when he pressed a kiss into her palm. He finally prepared a serious answer: “I’m not sure… We can’t keep losing control and risk getting caught in the classroom.”
“I have a dorm mate…” she murmured as she thought about it.
“My suite on campus is one of the nicer ones, but it could be dangerous sneaking you in and… and you’d have to practice being quiet. You’re quite the mewling minx,” he winked.
“You’re not exactly quiet yourself.”
He shrugged, smiling. Sure, they were trying to discuss how to get away with a career ending scandal, but he was in such a good mood . Had it just been too long since he’d enjoyed the body of another person? He dared not acknowledge why it was her specifically that made him so happy.
“I could scope out getting to your room,” she mused, biting her thumb. Her little oral fixation was so damn cute. “And on weekends or breaks there’s places off campus. Hotels, camping - do you have a car? And we could visit the rugby team’s shed at the edge of the field when they are at away games. There are foam mats in there so it wouldn’t be uncomfortable.”
He would let him ride her on the sharpest gravel if it meant being inside her, but that thought was overridden as he pondered exactly how she knew about such a convenient little shed to hide affairs in. He decided he didn’t want to know about the lucky boys her age that had run their grubby, inexperienced hands all over her. It really was not like him to be this jealous over his sexual partners’ previous lovers. Unless he wanted her for more than just sex, a little tiny voice whispered. “Perhaps we could meet under different circumstances? I could… bring you dinner…?”
His stomach fluttered in a way he’d never felt before as she brightened up at the thought. “I’d love that! Actually, do you have a key to the the library?”
He nodded. He didn’t, but he would get one.
“We could meet in study room 935. It’s in the back corner and I have a key. Nine-o-clock tomorrow after the library is closed?”
“Yes,” he breathed in anticipation. He reached for her face to pull her into a kiss, bending her back slightly as he leaned into her. She held onto him, pressing into him, so small and delicate and fierce. “Tomorrow night.”
They parted to finish fixing their clothes and his desk to hide their activities. When both were satisfied that they’d hidden their deeds appropriately they said their reluctant goodbyes.
“Edward, what does ‘mein lieb’ mean?” She turned back to ask him, her hand on the door.
Had he said that? “Oh, um… it means ‘ you’re mine’ .” Or something like that , he thought ruefully.
“Huh… you speak so much German when you fuck…” she mused crassly, making heat rise to his cheeks and ears.
“Wiedersehen, fräulein.”
-X-
You raced to your dorm room, throwing your bag on the bed and ripping off your shirt and bra to check the mark he left on you in a mirror. It was already a beautiful red and purple. You traced the indents of his teeth left in your skin and sighed.
“Um… (y/n)?”
Your soul bounded from your body, and you covered yourself with your hands as you turned to see Lea sitting at her desk staring at you like you’d gone crazy. Maybe you had? “Oh, hi. I didn’t see you there.”
She laughed. “Clearly. What are you doing?”
“I got a bug bite,” you lied, grabbing a shirt and pulling it over your head. “Hey, thanks for lending me your glasses.”
She took back her spare glasses, slipping them into their case. “That reminds me, do you know Roger Blackstone?”
“Nope,” you said, stripping out of your slutty outfit into something more comfortable for studying. You two had gotten used to the lack of privacy and she didn’t even question how whorish you’d been dressing lately. You loved how open-minded and non-judgemental she was. Truly the best dorm mate you could have hoped for.
“Huh… Weird. He asked me about you at rugby practice this morning. I wonder why…” She was the manager for the rugby team, which mostly meant she ran around trying to coral the rowdy boys and patiently played secretary to the incompetent Coach Dempsey.
“That is weird. What did he want to know?”
“Basic stuff: what classes you were in, if you worked on campus, how old you were. He asked if you really liked insects?”
You racked your brain and remembered the guy in the lab next to Richtofen’s classroom. Right, he’d said his name was Roger. “Hm, I don’t know what that’s about.”
“He’s just one of the rugby boys. Pretty stereotypical. You know the type. He probably has a crush.”
For someone who claimed to hate meatheads, Lea had fought to get the manager job. It had been a little after Coach Dempsey had arrived for the position, so the slot was open. She claimed it would look good on her resume for her economics degree to have management experience. You examined your friend, taking in her soft curves, delicate features, flowery pastel dress - she was the definition of cute , a contrast to your dark sensuality. “Hey Lea, why don’t you ever date?”
“Okay, we’re talking about me now, huh? Well… I guess it’s because the guys my age are kind of annoying, don’t you think?”
“Oh, I definitely know what you mean,” you agree wholeheartedly. You’d dated a few in America and tried the European guys when you travelled here for university, but they’d all been flings. You’d never gotten very attached to any of them. Not that you hadn’t gotten your fun out of some of them, but it paled in comparison to what Edward had teased out of your body and your heart. If Lea had told you before last week that a decent looking rugby boy was interested in you, you might have been curious enough to take him for a spin, see if he knew how to use any of the muscles that type of guy was usually so proud of, but now? You remembered how uncomfortable you’d felt when his hand grabbed your wrist and shuddered.
-Richtofen-
Edward slipped into Dean Maxis’ office during dinner. The older man was like a father figure to him and had entrusted him with a key so he could tend to the bug enclosures that lined the back wall of the office while the dean was off on business. They were in-progress experiments, as Maxis’ area of expertise was biology - particularly parasitic bugs and bacteria that could influence control on their hosts. Both men dabbled in multiple sciences and enjoyed long theoretical talks while sipping a good Kräuterlikör.
He felt a little guilty for breaking this wonderful man’s trust by stealing a master key from his safe. Maxis had taken him under his wing when he’d first gotten to university after finding out he was an orphan, even vouching for him to join various programs, research jobs, and eventually his professor position. Gott, if Maxis ever found out about his indiscretion… He tried to not think about how betrayed his mentor would feel, how incredibly disappointed he would look.
With a jolt of fear, he heard a noise at the door. Hastily, the key he needed was shoved into his pocket and the safe was re-locked. He grabbed the nearest measuring tool and began pretending to inspect the enclosure he could reach in time before Ludvig Maxis opened the door.
“Edward, my boy!” The man was initially startled to find someone in his office when he arrived, but quickly relaxed when he saw who it was. The fact that the Dean has such trust in him sent a spear into his gut.
“Ludvig,” Edward smiled. “I see the ants are faring well.”
“Ja, my little carpenters. They do so well. I am quite pleased with their progress,” he beamed, walking around to his desk. “Is that all you came in here for? Or perhaps you were sneaking into my office to find something in particular…”
Despite Ludvig’s jovial tone his heart sank. How the fick did the man already know what he was up to?
“Perhaps this is what you were looking for, ja?” Maxis opened a desk draw and retrieved a bottle, waggling it for Edward to see.
“You caught me,” he forced a laugh, quickly crafting his lie. “These students keep me so busy I haven’t gone to the shop in a bit.”
The older man popped the bottle open, producing two glasses to hold a hearty serving of the liquor. They clinked them together before taking a drink. “To easy students und successful experiments, mein sohn!”
Edward chuckled. “Ja, and to you,” he agreed.
“The professor's life is treating you well, ja? Students behaving?”
“Oh, you know…” he replied weakly, trying not to think about a certain misbehaving succubus.
“Und did you take my advice to check out that lovely new lady we hired onto the library staff?”
Maxis had recently taken an interest in Edward’s love life, (“You won’t stay young forever, mein junge!”) suggesting he meet with different women the older man deemed suitable. He doubted (y/n) would make the list considering her age and student status. He made a noncommittal sound.
“ Ach , we will find you a woman yet. Marrying your work will not keep your bed warm!” He thumped Edward’s back. “Finish your drink and walk back to the dinner hall with me. You’re so thin.”
But Edward knew he had already found the woman he wanted to keep his bed warm, his mind stimulated, his heart soaring…
