Overwatch characters watching your kid
I've been thinking about writing some silly short stories about OW characters getting stuck watching someone's kid, but I figured I would make this guide for my headcannon for the kind of babysitter each of them would be.
Brigitte and Reinhardt would make you the most nervous with their methods. Lots of rough-housing, throwing them around and into the air, giving your kid sugar, letting them climb things, and overall just encouraging mayhem and rule-breaking. "You mom/dad doesn't let you do this at home? Well, they're not here, are they?" Your kid will come home thoroughly exhausted, but bitter about you not being as fun as they are.
Orisa would make the same mistakes as Brigitte and Reinhardt, but more out of ignorance and inexperience. Like letting your kid stay up too late, because she doesn't understand why going to bed at a decent time is important, or feeding them something that makes them sick because that's what they said they wanted to eat. Unintentionally lets your kid walk all over her, but once you teach her how it's done, she'll be your go-to option when you need a break.
Zenyatta would be so intrigued by the natural imagination and curiosity of children. He'd provide lots of different toys, art supplies, and time for unrestricted and uninstructed play. A one-man enrichment program. Just don't try to tell him there are boy toys and girls toys. Your kid will be allowed to play with whatever they want. He would also unironically have a blast playing pretend with dolls or action figures. I'm talking a 25-part narrative with backstories, lore, worldbuilding, and an Endgame-style final conflict.
Genji, Kiriko, Tracer, and B.O.B would be the kings and queens of "don't tell your parents." Extra screen-time, taking them out for ice cream, staying up a little later then their normal bedtime, etc. What I would call "a healthy amount of rule-breaking." They have everyone else convinced they are Responsible™ but you can't help noticing that your kid is always excited to hangout with them.
Ana and Torbjorn could be depended on the same way you can trust grandma and grandpa. They've had kids, so they know all the tips, tricks, and games to keep your kid clean, fed, safe, and happy. Just don't tell them some dumb shit like "organic, non-gmo fruits only." Your kid will be eating bananas from the supermarket like everyone else. But for more sensible rules, even the ones they don't agree with, they will follow them.
Echo will make you fill out a 200-question survey and write an essay on how you want your kid cared for. She will follow every instruction down to the letter, and send you updates every 30 minutes. If your kid sneezes, she will call you to ask about it. The downside is your kid will probably hate her for being such a rules monger.
Baptiste, Illari, Lucio, and Sojourn would try so hard to be responsible and follow your instructions, but puppy-eyes work on them 80% of the time. Your home will look like a warzone when you get back, but they'll help you clean up.
Lifeweaver, Pharah, Mei, and Zarya would get a whiff of that specific smell babies have that makes your DNA scream at you to make one yourself. They would be the sweetest, most gentle caretakers on this list. They'll spend most of the time snuggling on the couch, watching T.V. and drinking hot coco. Would let your kid give them a makeover, paint their nails, and play with their hair. Would read to and rock them to sleep, tuck them in really snug. They'd probably look forward to seeing your kid again, and every time you happen upon one of them, they'll only ask what's going on with the kiddo.
Sombra, Symmetra, and Widowmaker would rather be water-boarded then spend five minutes with those sticky-fingered cunt goblins you call kids.
Ashe, Hanzo, and Winston would happily agree to babysit for you, thinking they will be serviceable at it. How hard could it be? Then an hour later they call you, on the verge of a nervous breakdown, and beg you to come back, because your kid is crying or throwing a tantrum. They definitely have the potential to be great caretakers, but they would need someone to walk them through it at first.
Bastion and Sigma definitely WANT to give babysitting a try, but they understand why that's probably not a safe idea. They would question your intelligence if you asked them.
Cassidy and D.va would take your kid to McDonalds or somewhere else with else with a play-place, and let them go wild while they sit on a bench nearby. They will do the bare minimum amount of work to keep your kid alive, because they have better things to do. Would only babysit as a favor for you if no one else is available.
Mercy is married to her work, and Ramattra is dedicated to his mission. If you somehow convince them to watch your kid for even a single hour, they'll set-up a playpen with whatever toys they like, toss in a sippy cup and snack every now and then, and ignore their existence while they do their usual business.
Doomfist, Moira, Reaper, and Soldier: 76 would tape your kid to a chair the first time it annoys them. I know there's the fandom joke of S76 being the dad of the team, but he's always come off as grumpy and impatient to me.
Your kid would love the junkers (Junker Queen, Junkrat, Roadhog, Wrecking Ball) for all the wrong reasons. They would teach your kid how to make a grenade launcher out of plastic bottles and rubber bands, 37 new swear words, and how to punch people in the throat. Unless you want to get a call from the school about your kid blowing up the chemistry room, I would choose literally anyone else to babysit.
Mauga would use your kids to get dates. He'll take your daughter to a dance class and talk to any single parents about how much of a family man he is and how difficult being a single dad. He'll take your son to play catch in a park so he has an excuse to take his shirt off and flex his muscles. He'll coach your kid to walk up to someone and say, "my uncle thinks your pretty, so maybe you can play with us."

Some of these may be my own personal interpretation, and if you disagree, just pick someone else or something. My polls, my blog, yada yada yada you get the gist. XD
Also… I am so very sad how hard it was to come up with this list. We need more butches in media. (I actually am not as avid a consumer of media as this blog makes it seem so I'm sorry for the obvious ones I've missed because I don't watch/read that show/movie/ect)

Overwatch Women Relationship/ General Headcannons:
These are very specific, but I find them cute.
This is super long, because it’s All. Of. Them. I was going to break them up, but then I forgot, and rolled with it.
No warnings, all sfw.
Ashe
Is very much allergic to pollen.
With that being said she has the loudest damn sneeze
Cannot cook to save her life but makes really good concoctions of stoner type food. That and she is a dip girl. Every woman from the south knows one good dip they can make and it’s been imbued in us since birth. No one else at the party has the same dip either, wonderful how it works really
Widow
Has vintage luggage she uses for long term missions
Sleeps on her back with her arms folded like she is dead just to freak you out.
Hates pressure cookers
D.va
Is really good at Pilates (she took it up instead of physical therapy after her injuries in the cinematic)
Can fold gum wrapper swans
Disassembles her blaster when she is bored just to put it back together again (she times it and keeps the times in a golf notepad)
Junker Queen
Really good at electrical engineering but has only seen YouTube lectures about it on a shitty rebuilt mac
Listens to nickelback unironically
Prefers fruity drinks, but that’s the closest you will get her to eating a god damn fruit
Kiriko
Can and will sit you down to explain the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy
Is a Jojo’s fan. Thinks it’s under appreciated.
Cannot tell you the difference between jams, jellies and preserves.
Moira
Hates chain steakhouses (outback, Texas Roadhouse, ect) Loathes the atmosphere.
Has favorite poisonous plants
Is better than you at Mario kart
Mercy
Is not good at social cues to the point she will put on the complete wrong music for a situation (think Disco Inferno while she is trying to Rez a burn victim levels of bad taste)
“Does not like coffee” but if you make it she will drink from yours
Spins her blaster when she puts it back in its holster
Pharah
Likes shows like “How I Met Your Mother” and “Rules of Engagement”
Wakes you up in the middle of the night to go with her to the dingiest convenience store to acquire the best sandwich of your life
Hates coleslaw
Brigitte
Doesn’t count her reps, only times them with specific tools (a song, a show, a podcast)
Has helped her father defy the Geneva Conventions
Thinks The Grand Canyon is made up (Torb told her as a joke when she was little and has believed it since)
Zarya
Has been to the secret Russian lab where they keep stem cells of every known disease to exist. (It’s a real thing, I think don’t quote me-)
Brings back small rocks from places she goes
Doesn’t like birds
Mei
Snow ball has a built in dance party mode specifically for when she is sad.
Doesn’t like using Amazon
Knows all of “Yakko’s World” and sings it to herself
Tracer
Tries to tip well but doesn’t know the math so she leaves way more than is needed
Has tried to convince Winston to give her a laser beam inside of the accelerator
Wears Velcro for convenience
Ana
When she is able to settle down and stop being on the move, she catches up with reality shows and calls you to tell you about them
Puts little stickers on her little healing vials to make them look friendlier… not that anyone is gonna notice
Doesn’t like to eat breakfast. Just has tea in the morning.
Symettra
Has special pads on her visor because she doesn’t like the way it sits on her face
There is a disco mode in her turrets that she will never tell a soul about
She commits to bits to get you out of trouble without even knowing the full scope of the situation.
Sombra
Sweater thief, but in the worst possible times. If she forgets hers on a mission, she takes yours and dips
Likes those little strawberry grandma candies
As good of a hacker she is, she is absolutely terrible at 1v1 combat games. Mortal Kombat, Smash, Jump Force, you name it. She isn’t winning.
Sojourn
Phone is set to military hours. You never ask her for the time
Does not nap
Makes jokes about her legs. When you compliment her she knocks on the metal and goes “Quads of steel”. She thinks it’s the funniest bit in the world
*bonus* she may be rough around the edges but she is the loudest laugher at a comedy show

Ask and you shall receive!!
--------------
D.VA: Heard you made some pretty cool costumes back in the day! Got any tips? Reaper: Be scary...... and make sure the body paint can wash off....
--------------
Winston: I wonder if everyone would like to do a Halloween party, like you all used to do! Angela: I don't know Winston, we all have a lot on our plates... Reinhardt: Nonsense! We must have a Halloween party! It is tradition!
--------------
Genji: I heard that Winston is planning a Halloween party, are you planning on going? Pharah: Of course! I never got to go to the Halloween parties when I was a kid! Genji: I didn't really go to those get togethers either, it'll be fun to see what actually happens at these parties. Pharah: Huh, I honestly thought you would have gone with Cole and Angela. To busy brooding to join? Genji: .....I wish I could say no.
--------------
Sojourn: Hey you doing alright? With Winston's plans and everything? Cassidy: I think it'll be good for everyone. Get moral up y'know? Sojourn: Yes but what about you? I know this holiday has a lot of memories for you. Cassidy: I'll be fine Vivian, I'm actually going to leave for a bit after the party, thought I'd meet some old friends there for Dias los Muertos. Sojourn: Ok, tell them I said "hi".
--------------
D.VA: Hey Cole, could you help me with my costume? Cassidy: Sure, but I thought you'd be buying your costume? D.VA: I usually do but everyone here makes their costumes and I won't be shown up by everyone!
--------------
Sombra: You have any idea what your going as for halloween. Reaper: I don't do Halloween. Sombra: Of course, of course.... you are Halloween. Reaper: Please shut up.

Do you have any pro sigma tips
i’ve answered an ask like thsi before i’m pretty sure, but it was a looong time ago and i can’t find it and i’m sure my opinions have changed so! here ya go!
disclaimer that i’m by no means a comp-level player, nor do i put in particular effort to keep up with whatever’s #meta nowadays. these are just my observations from the [checks career profile] ~106 hours i’ve racked up on him in the past year or so. i also tend to play sig fairly aggressive, but he’s also a decent tank for hanging back and sticking on point and holding the line, so don’t feel like you have to be throwing yourself into the fray with reckless abandon like i tend to do. he’s fairly flexible. get sillay with it.
also, this will be long. sorry.
- BOUNCE. THOSE. BALLS!!! this one is sooooo important seriously. take the time in practice range and vs ai to practice ricocheting your hyperspheres off walls, off the ground, off ceilings, off random map props, the possibilities are endless. you can shoot people around corners, trap them in a hallway, or even angle your shots around shields and damage-absorbing abilities like kinetic grasp. even if you don’t make a direct hit, they have a small aoe that will pull enemies inwards - i’ve even knocked people off cliffs with em on occasion! the wonky projectile physics CAN be weaponized. use them wisely.
- don’t forget that your hyperspheres AND accretion mass do self damage in close quarters - it’s not significant, but it’s enough to be mindful of in a team fight because theres not much more embarrassing than not realizing how low your health is and accidentally killing yourself with your own balls. do keep in mind that you CAN weaponize this against other sigmas by sticking a barrier in their face or even just getting real close.
- if someone’s getting a little close for comfort, pocket boulder accretion mass will be your best friend. it DOES do self damage, but it also interrupts a LOT of abilities (genji and orisa’s deflects, sigma’s kgrasp, hog’s healing, and soldier’s ult to name a few off the top of my head) and knocks them back JUUUST far enough to give you some breathing room or let your teammates swoop in to finish them off
-accretion has a lot more range than your hyperspheres, although it’s a slower projectile and has a lot more weight to it. taking the time to practice arcing it over walls or shields will pay off. you can also use it to knock down a pharah, kill or seriously damage a riptire, or interrupt a resurrecting mercy or an ulting enemy sigma, so don’t be afraid to be trigger happy with it. one click of your primary fire and a shot with accretion can one shot lower health heroes like tracer, so keep that in mind if you’re dealing with flankers.
-use your melee. use your melee. USE YOUR MELEE. people will get all up in your business to take advantage of the self damage from your hyperspheres - almost nobody expects sigma to punch them in the face. i’ve chased flankers back into their spawn just by beating the shit out of them when they got too close. i’ve gotten into the habit of just punching between shots on reflex. most of the time i’m not actually sure if it actually cancels my reload or not, but it feels like i’m doing something productive (his reload is so short that it’s almost negligible in my eyes, but if you time it right you can shave a second off i guess)
- always manually withdraw your barrier to let it recharge instead of letting someone kill it if you can help it, because when it’s destroyed by an enemy it’s on a longer cooldown and takes longer to regen to full health. if you aren’t actively using that barrier or you can see that it’s not taking damage, pull that baby back in and let it fill up again. you can also use it for cover while backpedaling in a pinch, but keep in mind it's only got like, 700 health, so it can't take sustained heavy fire for very long.
- if you have a hard time focusing on the actual numbers of your shield, keep an ear out for sigma's voicelines - he'll ALWAYS call out when the barrier is starting to break. unless it's the only thing standing between a teammate and a potentially life ending incoming attack, take that as your cue to reel it in and let it recharge
- that said, you dont have to wait for your barrier to be at full health to use it. even if it's barely functional, sometimes it can be all you need to protect yourself or your teammates in a pinch. it's better to use it and lose it than keep it tucked in your back pocket but never actually protect anyone with it.
- your barrier has RANGE, but cannot phase through walls or objects. if you’ve got a clear shot down a hall or street but can’t catch up to your team at your frail old man speed, clicking and holding will send your barrier as far as it can go directly in front of you, so you can send it ahead to buy your team some time. i’ve yet to actually reach a point where it runs out of range as opposed to bumping into something or hitting the ground, so don’t worry too much about it not reaching anyone.
- don’t be afraid to throw your barrier around just to disrupt people and then pull it right back in, either. it’s a good blocker for hog hooks or boulders from enemy sigmas just to name a handful. i’ve been experimenting with obstructing damage from orisa’s ult with it, with mixed results - sometimes it works, sometimes it don’t. good to keep in mind but don’t depend on it being foolproof
- if you’ve got other heroes on your team with mitigating abilities, try to communicate with them and coordinate your kinetic grasp around their cooldowns and vice versa. it’s not fun when half your team is so busy scrambling to nullify that incoming cassidy ult that nobody notices the sojourn picking off both supports and backcapping the payload. communication is key for sig especially because most of his ability cooldowns exceed ten seconds, so coordination will be very important to make sure your team isn’t vulnerable if all your abilities are used up for the moment.
- i like to wiggle back and forth with kinetic grasp up to catch as much as possible. spinning around will help with people trying to hit your back while it’s up, too, but can leave you vulnerable. don’t be afraid to ‘waste’ it - i’ll often pop it just to swallow a moira orb that’s bounced behind our team or to intercept someone going after our healers. absorbing a ton of damage and getting those overshields is very nice! but ultimately your job is to mitigate incoming damage to keep your team safe
- if you time it right, kgrasp can absorb cassidy, mei, hanzo, reaper, pharah, and hog’s ults, although hog’s duration outlasts yours so be prepared to handle those last few seconds. you can also eat incoming concussion mines, sleep darts/ana nades, biotic orbs, and junkqueen’s knife. keep in mind that kgrasp will NOT make you invincible. it only covers your front and can easily be angled around, and it can also be interrupted by any of the things that will interrupt your ult.
- ACTIVATING ANY OF YOUR OTHER ABILITIES BEFORE KINETIC GRASP IS DONE WILL CANCEL IT AND NULLIFY ANY OF THE OVERSHIELDS YOU GENERATED!!! try to avoid mashing buttons in a team fight for this reason especially because kgrasp draws attention to you and if you accidentally cancel it the enemy team will likely punish that
- on a related note, almost EVERYTHING can interrupt your ult. cassidy’s bomb, a sleep dart, a hook, a boulder from an enemy sigma, a smack from brigitte, i’m almost positive junkrat’s mine was doing it not too long ago but i’m unsure if it still does, but those are all the ones i can think of off the top of my head. when you ult, use that extra mobility to duck behind cover so you can finish it. going straight up is generally a bad idea, and holding down crouch will keep you on the ground.
- combo your ult when you can. ive had especially good results stacking ults with sombra to prevent anyone else from interrupting the flux, but anyone who does damage in an area will do excellently if you time it juuuust right. it doesn’t do too too much damage on its own (usually not enough to one shot most heroes), but it’s VERY good for keeping enemies stuck in one place or finishing people off in a sticky situation. it also removes them from the objective for a little bit, so it can help buy time while contesting. it also works really nicely with ramattra’s vortex and other aoe slowing or damage abilities that AREN’T ults, too.
- you can, in a pinch, use gravflux solely for mobility. i’ve slipped through the window on that one point on lijiang and hopped over walls with it just to get on point and contest while my team catches up - i don’t recommend burning an entire ult just for that, and you DO run the risk of getting interrupted or shot down, so make sure you’ve got a game plan once you get there. keep in mind it also makes you a giant floating target and everyone will be falling over eachother to headshot you while you’re up there, so don’t just float ominously at the enemy in a straight line if you can help it.
- there are some heroes that will just beat your ass mercilessly. symmetra still strikes the fear of god into me. don’t be afraid to fall back and ask your teammates for help. you are very slow and easily outmaneuvered, especially by beam or melee attacks, so having someone a little slipperier cover your back can be really helpful.
- sigma is a good solo tank, but he also works VERY WELL with a buddy if you arent in a role-locked gamemode. i personally really like pairing him with someone more mobile and who can dish a little more damage like junker queen or ramattra, that way i can focus on keeping our supports safe and pushing the objective while they cover the front lines and pull attention away from our dps by being big and scary and intimidating.
- you are a very large target, and the fact that you hover instead of walking means your head is usually in a very stable position, so snipers can get an easy pick on you if you aren't careful. jumping around, wiggling back and forth during kgrasp and gravflux, and ducking in and out behind obstacles between shots can help mitigate this, but it can also make it VERY hard for your healers to keep you alive, so try to be mindful of this. don't be afraid to seek and destroy a widow if theyve got one. boulders are good for this.
- because you float, you don't have ANY footsteps! if you're really feeling cheeky, you can use this to your advantage to sneak behind enemy lines, catch a sniper off guard, or support a teammate trying to backcap. your abilities and melee are all VERY loud though, so if you're really committed to the stealth sigma bit, be careful with em.
- if you are in the same game as me and you autolock him before i can even load in and youve got the asylum skin equipped im fuckin stealing something out your house!!!!!!!

My Overwatch Guide for Supports below GM
Before I begin I’d like to give a small introduction and explain why I wanted to write this guide. I should also add that this is a bit of a quick and dirty guide but it does include every tip and trick I’ve learned climbing from gold 5 in Overwatch 2 to Masters 4 in Season 1. I also want to add that as with many things in life that the fastest way to learn is to practice, be introspective, and to give yourself feedback. I’ve also included a breakdown of terms I’ll be using during this guide below.
Util: These are Utility base abilities that do not only deal pure damage or pure healing. Great examples of this (Lucio Speed Boost, Kiriko Suzu, Orisa Fortify, Pharah Boop)
Breakpoints: What can cause a hero to die or lose a fight without further resources. A great example of this is Reinhardt pinning a hero with 225 hp. If their HP get’s lowered to 200, then the pin will kill them, meaning they’ve reached their “Breakpoint” during the pin.
Tempo: The rythm in which you use abilities, navigate the map, heal, and take fights
LOS: Line of Sight
Ults: Ultimate abilities
With that I think I’ve said everything I wanted to say for this guide so let’s get started!
First let’s talk about my general Support role philosophy and what rules I apply to the role as a whole regardless of what hero you pick (except Moira but I’ll explain why with Moira later).
Always remember that as a Support your job is not just a being a heal bot. A big misconception of the role is that you have to just heal your brain out and that will lead to a win. This is not the case, every support hero has a utility that they can bring to the fight that can assist your team outside of healing (Lucio speed, Mercy damage boost, Baptiste lamp, etc.) so don’t forget to use your utility to help sway the fight. A great example of this is speed boosting your team so they can get into and out of the fight quickly.
Learn what they “breakpoints for each hero and each ability is and when your team actually needs to be healed. For example, let’s say your have an Orisa as your tank and you’re in the middle of a team fight. Well with Fortify, and Javelin Spin, Orisa has a lot of sustain, meaning as a support you have more time to provide utility in other ways to help sway the fight and should focus on using your util abilities and healing more vulnerable teammates along with dealing damage until your Orisa uses her cooldown. Once you’ve noticed both sustain cooldowns have been used that's when you should begin focusing Orisa because her “breakpoints” have been reached. Once Orisa uses her cooldowns she becomes far more vulnerable and easier to kill. Each Tank, DPS, and Support have their own “breakpoints”, learn them and use them to dictate your healing tempo.
I know, I know, you’re tired of hearing this as something that supports need to learn but I promise this is important. With only 1 tank positioning is so much more important in Overwatch 2 than it ever was. So let’s talk about how to use the map to position yourself properly and keep yourself alive.
As a support your positioning can be the reason you live or die during a fight. I’m going to use Ana for this point as for Ana positioning is probably most important. So let’s say you have a poke comp on your team (Rein, Soldier, Cassidy, Kiriko, and you as Ana) and the Enemy team has two dive DPS harassing you, you’re struggling to survive and your team is struggling to peel for you in your perch far behind. This is an example of where you should instead position yourself far closer to your team to make it easier for them to peel for you and make it more difficult for the dive DPS to harass you. This is a really oversimplified example of how to position yourself but it is part of keeping yourself alive.
The last part I have about general Support rules is using ults first. Now this doesn’t mean you need to use your ult the second you have it but in a team fight you should use your ult before the enemy team has a chance to. There’s a tempo to ult usage in Overwatch, however, supports have some of the best fight winning ults in the game. A great example of this is Kiriko, who’s ult is so strong that using it first can win a team fight or even cause the enemy to disengage because of how strong it is. So as a support use ults first to help your team win the fight.
Alrighty, now this has gotten super long and there’s still so much more I can talk about with general Support rules but by practicing these tips I was really able to climb. It is definitely more difficult to solo carry games as a Support but that doesn’t mean you can’t improve and do the best you absolutely can.
Let’s now talk about a tip I have for each hero individually.
Mercy: This might be the shortest I have for tips because Mercy is my least played hero but here are things I’ve seen from some really great Mercy players!
1. Don’t forget to damage boost! Damage boosting can be the difference in how long a fight can take and damage boosting the right people at the right time can really help wipe the enemy team.
2. Use your ult early. Valkyrie can be really strong but it’s best to use it to engage. Ult just before the team fight begins to get the most value out of it and damage boost at the beginning of fight and heal towards the end. (Please don’t just use it just to battle Mercy)
Ana:
1. Positioning! Look at your team comp and tempo of team fights to determine how close/how far you need to be away from the fight. Use environmental cover to help yourself survive
2. Use your Utility in tempo. Ana nade and sleep have long cool downs so using them aggressively can be tricky but here’s how you can use them to sway a fight and heal your team. Use your nade during a team fight to heal your brawlers and anti who they are fighting. Within everyone close together fighting it becomes easier to kill two birds with one stone. Caution: Nade and sleep are also Ana’s defensive abilities, if the enemy team see’s that you’ve used both your are more likely to get dived so be mindful of the cooldown time and don’t use both all at once.
3. Nano the right target. Ana Nano can be a clutch way to sway a team fight, or to even save a teammate. Nano can be built very quickly so don’t be afraid to use it. Your DPS should be your Nano priority if they have an ult that can be damage boosted. You can also use nano to save your tank in a pinch since they take less damage and get an immediate 250 healing on use.
Lucio:
1. Speed boost! Speed boost is such a good utility ability. Lucio is amazing at controlling the momentum of the team and of the fight. Speed boost your tank to help them catch up and secure a kill. Use speed to help your team disengage from an ability or an ult that slows your team down. Even if you are not great at wall riding speeding your team at the right time can be impactful
2. Don’t forget to shoot. Lucio does an adequate amount of damage and in the middle of a team fight all the damage done counts
3. Amp it up! Use healing amp when your team is in the middle of the team fight and are low. Use speed amp early to help your team engage faster.
4. Drop the beat. Beat can be used offensively as well, you can beat early to engage into a high damage comp to help your team take the fight faster.
Baptiste:
1. His heal boost has a long cooldown but is great in a clutch, use it in the middle of a team fight to help you team sustain or if your tank is brawling and is taking more damage than you can heal with your nade.
2. Stick close medium range to the fight, your heal boost has short range and your nade is a projectile so the further away you are the longer you team needs to wait for heals
3. Direct hits with you nade heals more so try to hit direct shots when possible
4. Don’t be afraid to use window (your ult) selfishly and frequently. Window can be a great tool to force space and to keep your team up as you shoot your healing nade through it
Kiriko:
1. Try to save your teleport for when you need to escape. Teleport is the Kiriko cooldown that the enemy team will look to punish. If you use it only to engage you’re more likely to be punished for it by the enemy team
2. Use your ult first and early, Kitsune rush is an incredibly powerful ult and can be the difference between winning a team fight early or losing
Moira:
Moira doesn’t have utility in the same way that the other supports do. What this means is that Moira does not have an ability that directly interacts with her team outside of just healing. This makes Moira a more self sustaining pick than the rest of the support line.
1. Save your orb to for healing. Moira runs out of healing quickly during team fights. Save your orb for healing and aim to bounce it off walls so it stays with your team during a fight. Orb also heals more than her primary fire.
2. Try to use your damage orb only to finish off low health targets. Orb has a long up time once it’s launched and may finish off a target in the back line.
3. Your team needs you, don’t flank unless the team is already down and all that’s left is clean up. Flanking the enemy team leaves your team without a resource making it far more likely for your team to lose the fight. Stick with your team.
Brig:
1. Despite her kit Brig is actually more of a backline support rather than being frontline. As a brig think of yourself more like a bodyguard for your other support
2. Keep inspire up! Use your flail whip to keep inspire up and running and use shield bash to escape or to engage on a low health enemy
3. Use your ultimate just before the team fight begins as your team is getting ready to engage. Rally takes time to build and will help your team sustain as the fight begins
I think that’s about all I have for this support guide. If you’ve read all the way through thank you for taking the time for reading and if you have any comments or feedback please feel free to let me know!

Junk and Justice: Revenge for their Mother (PREVIEW)
(Hey, remember that lil story I made about Ana adopting Junkrat and Roadhog? I'm remaking it, and here's some part of it.)
Today was like any other day for Overwatch, a problem needed to be solved. And when a problem needed to be solved, they sent in their best. And when the best get the briefing of what they need to do, they immediately gear up, train their skills, and get ready to venture to wherever their mission takes them. All said and done, simple as that.
Well, not so simple when you're Ana Amari. A very skilled sniper and healer for Overwatch, but also a caring mother. Which a very caring and protective daughter.
"Mother, are you certain you don't need any back up for this? After what happened with your- I'm just worried for your safety." Fareeha stated towards her mother, hanging her head low as her mother kept on loading her gear onto the helicopter.
Fareeha was also a member of Overwatch, going by the codename 'Pharah'. Unlike her mother who is more to comfortable sticking behind her comrades, she prefers to go head on into battle. Sporting a rocket suit made specifically for her expertise with a rocket launcher to boot, she will always be seen up in the air when she's needed. And when she isn't, she is possibly bickering with her mom or relaxing. Neither both.
"Fareeha, you mustn't think about the past too much. I'll be fine." Ana said back, hugging her daughter and planting a soft kiss on her cheek. "Plus, someone has to watch those two rascals, right?"
Fareeha was still against the idea on her mother going on a solo mission. Well, the mission itself wasn't a massive problem to her. It was a simple criminal retrieval type operation. A well-known terrorist somehow smuggled a highly dangerous bomb that leveled a city block. First responders and Overwatch were on the scene quickly to rescue those they could and apprehend the ones responsible for such a disaster. The main culprit escaped sadly, but they managed to get a tip on where they were from. And this, is where Fareeha's worriedness came to bloom.
Junkertown.
What once was a proud and civilized Australia, was now a never-ending apocalyptic region. Due to some failed defense during the Omnic Crisis, Australia's core blew up, turning itself and its residents into lunatics fighting for survival. The area was warped and changed, to fit the dire state and endless craving of chaos for its residence. Three of which are now temporary agents for Overwatch due to their skills in battle and helpfulness. But the real reason? So that everyone else can keep an eye on them, hopefully to rehabilitate them as well to be fully functional members of their team too.
And while all of this is alone is terrifying, Fareeha just couldn't let her mother go to such a place by herself, not knowing what could happen to her. But as much as she hate to admit it, her mother went to her own kind of hell already. And proved just how strong she can be once she was back on the field. She's nowhere near her prime, and certainly not as durable as Reinhardt, but that still doesn't stop Ana Amari from getting the job done.
"Listen, I know you're afraid of what might happen. But I promise you, as soon as I am done; I will be back home. Then maybe you'll not babying me? That's my job to do to you!" Ana said back towards Fareeha who only looked at her was a stern look. However, Fareeha's cold demeanor when acting serious is rarely broken, and this is a perfect moment of what happens when it is. As Fareeha sighed and let out a soft laugh, she looked at her mom with a sad smile, before hugging her one last time.
What followed next happened with no sound to Fareeha. She watched as her mother said her last goodbyes to Fareeha for the time being, boarded up the helicopter set towards her destination, waved one last time as the doors closed, and then the Heli was ascending. Up it went further and further till it made course away from the HQ, then it was out of sight from there. Fareeha just stood there for a while before breathing in a heavy sigh, then returned back inside to rest up or train.
Whatever could take her mind of this gut feeling something wasn't right...

Tales of the Rising Son: Part 2 - Snippet
From Chapter 9
“Eat up! The food from this shop is delicious, and I wanted to see if they were making anything special today. Turns out, they are!”
Ryomé sat and opened his bag, pulling out a small, cloth-wrapped loaf of warm bread, a small, polished wooden box of sweet-smelling butter, and a bundle of parchment paper. Inside the parchment paper were fresh cooked deer strips - still warm - and folded into the opposite side were three different slices of cheese. It was strange that everything was packaged separately, but Irie was already tearing her bread into sections before halfing them again and spreading the sweet smelling butter across it. He followed her lead, taking a few bites of bread, butter, meat and cheese before saying anything.
“Speaking of special,” Ryome starts. “Astor mentioned that this is all for the Moon Festival and that you were supposed to bring it up to me?”
She paused mid-chew before sitting back into her chair and swallowing. With a wave and sign gesture to a waitress for two waters, she leaned back toward him. “Howland wanted to leave this morning, but Astor and I thought it might be best for us to stay another day since you just woke up and are still recovering. Also… I guess, I thought it would be cool to experience a small-scale, local festival.”
He tipped his head to the side, preparing another piece of bread for meat and cheese. “Do you not have any back home?”
“Only the really big ones, like when our Kingdom was founded. Because we are a new Kingdom, we are still trying to find our own way to do things. We still celebrate the Sun Festival, but not on the scale Pharos does. My father wanted us to start our own traditions, but I think he forgets to put things together due to how busy he is.”
“So, you want to see what Pharos festivals are like?” He smiled slowly, leaning his cheek onto one propped hand. “Why didn’t you just say so earlier?”
She seemed taken aback. “I thought you would think it silly and childish. I didn’t want to impose on you if you wanted to leave right away by being selfish. I also… didn’t want you to think I was putting off the search for Tallon. I know how important he is to you, and of course he’s incredibly important to me, too.”
“Irie,” he started, turning his words over in his mind for a moment before continuing. “I know you. I know you wouldn’t ever forget Tallon, especially when he’s missing. Staying one more night isn’t a bad thing. And, you and Astor are correct in saying I need another day to recuperate. I’m still getting used to walking again. If we continue to walk around this evening, I’ll just be in better shape for tomorrow. Besides, if we had left today, I would’ve made sure to make it up to you by bringing you to the next small, traditional festival.”
Her eyes began to water and, with an embarrassed chuckle, she quickly wiped at them before taking more bites of her lunch. The iced waters arrived and Ryomé gave the waitress a friendly smile and a thank you as she left. Turning his attention back to his friend, he saw her already watching him. “Then, it’s okay with you if we leave in the morning?”
“Yes,” he sipped his water and let his eyes wander along the busy streets. “Besides… I can’t remember the last time I was able to partake in the Moon Festival. Something about it feels right after… everything.”
Irie finished her food and leaned onto the table with her elbows, setting her chin on the back of her hand. It was a small thing, but suddenly, Ryomé could hear Tallon’s voice in his head again. That isn’t ladylike, Irie. You aren’t supposed to have your elbows on the table. I swear to Pharah, you and Ryomé are too alike sometimes.
He was shaken from his thoughts a moment later when Irie asked, “What happened to you? What did you see when you were… you know?”
The Prince looked down into his glass, watching as the ice cubes shifted his reflection across the surface. He wanted to tell her, but he also didn’t feel ready to disclose anything. His memory of that place was still fragmented except for the touch and voice of that woman.
Instead he settled for, “A lot. But, that’s a story for another day. What matters is that I’m alive, and we can look for Tallon now.”
She set a hand on his shoulder and nodded in understanding. “Okay. Whenever you’re ready, I’ll listen. Just remember that.”
He smiled. “I will.”

Super Power-void of darkness, sad back story, eventually disappear and become the shadows I was controlling.
If I could be one overwatch character- Right now because I just woke up I would want to be Baptiste because he seems to have one of the more normal lives in overwatch.  Dude just be running health clinics for the poor and vulnerable.  My friend said he would choose to be tracer.  I noted that he had a choice and still chose to be British (he’s British).
Back to the cliche super hero prompt.  I always envisioned it like a loner that hangs out at night, for whatever reason, something or other happens to him, triggers an xmen or mha style super power appearance.  Can’t control it, doesn’t try, goes on a like 3 week murder binge of people he thinks are bad.  Has some kind of sudden realization and just fades into shadow and like becomes a shadow forever.
To touch on the My Hero Academia reference.  The spinoff Vigilantes does a really good job to show what life is like for non-heroes in the universe that dude created.  How people’s powers don’t really develop to dangerous levels as they grow up.  And touches heavily on what happens when ur powers develop after the age where hero school is an option.  It shows a void in the system for adults that fell thru the holes as youth.  Maybe there powers were strong enough yet, they went unnoticed, or maybe they were too busy actually saving someone to show up on time for there hero tests.  The main character develops his powers after high school and is an actual usable hero but since he didn’t pass thru the youth system for heroes he can’t enter it as an adult.   So he does, well, vigilante work.
Its a great story I recommend reading because it also shows how a non-affiliated hero does more community outreach etc than a normal legal hero would.  Like a down to earth realization that reminds the “actual” heroes what it means to be a real hero.  Also they can ignore laws and regulations which is why some of the characters from MHA interact with them and use them occasionally.
If I had to pick an Overwatch character that sadly fit my life and personality------
Maybe Brig, Pharah, or Cassidy.  Someone who was too young when Overwatch was around or considered non-important when Overwatch was around.  But now has a bigger role during the current timeline.  Or I could view myself more like Sojourn.  Someone who had more of a role back in the day but now comes back to work with the younger generation.
I exist as two people to my family and sometimes they intertwine.  I am the youngest of 6 siblings or I am the oldest kid grouped with all the Nieces and Nephews.  I am closer in age to half my nieces and nephews than I am to my own siblings.
On one hand I’m talking to my brother or brother in law about work and how its going.  And on the other hand I’m taking my nieces and nephews downstairs to hang out because my sister was an idiot and yelled at her daughter for no reason.
Than I’m upstairs lifting another nephew up in the air.  Than I’m being asked about how my mom is doing because I help her out more than the rest of us.
Its kind of sad.  How all this caring for my family distracts my depression ridden brain.  But whenever I’m done caring and loving them all I can do is stare up at the sky.  And think about how much I hate myself.  How much I want to disappear.  How much I just want to exist as myself and not someone holding up an Atlas styled rock, or someone constantly frantically filling the holes of a sinking boat.  Trying to catch all the “emergency” issues and help.
My family is used to it now.
They know I like to be alone and quiet.
But they still wonder where I am during the time whenever everything is normal.
And I just want a break between the madness.   Between the emergencies.
I’m on the tip of my toes around them waiting to catch anything that may fall.
Being around them next weekend for a special tribal christmas weekend wouldn’t be relaxing for me.
It would just be me in a hotel room full of nieces and nephews trying to explain to them why there parents went to hang out for a few hours without them.  And how every action I take in that moment is to make sure they don’t get sad.
I just want to pretend I’m alive between the moments of keeping everyone else alive.
I truly do wish I wasn’t born.  I was an accident.  Being the last born so late into a families already long existence is such a burden.

Her father's growls only made her hungrier to please him, increasing her ferocity in licking all around his tasty cock. Fearing such a defiant act as standing but all too eager to worship him, she stands. Face to Face with his tip, Pharah began to suckle upon his tip, hands bringing up her breasts to wrap around his hot meaty sceptre.

On a certain bank of the Nile, it was the duty of the Amari line to be worshippers to the Guide of the Underworld, The God Anubis. While the men were in charge of embalming and mummification, it was the role of the women to serve as his priestesses and his voice. Pharah was no exception.
She knelt before his effigy, bowing once in respect. She dressed in her best bangles, a showing of her respected status as an Amari woman.
She bowed a second time, reciting her role as a priestess and as a bride to be to her lord. A tattoo of the eye of Ra around her own, just as her mother had, and her mother before.
She bowed a third time, to summon Anubis and to complete the last stage of her training. Dressed in the bare minimum, any more would be a sign of disrespect to the allure and sensuality her lineage had been granted.

When I was learning Pharah, I would sit and do this for hours. You’ll feel SOOOO good after getting two in a row, don’t give up my birblets
This is a technique I learned from ValkiaTM, check him out!

Quick Tip:
When trying to kill a Pharmercy as McCree, aim for the feet and work your way up to the head if you’re having trouble landing shots. Focus Mercy first, then Pharah!

*clutches and shakes OW writers* GIVE THEM CLOSURE YOU FUCKS
But seriously, Ashe acclimating to Overwatch quicker then Cassidy would be such a good plot point, because again, I don't think Cassidy fully realises how much of an impact he has on the people around him. He wouldn't realise that the reason Ashe is being accepted so quickly is because he was there first. This would also probably be a tipping point for others around Cassidy to notice that something is up with him, specifically Genji and Pharah because we already see in interactions that they've taken notice of Cassidy bad habit of not resting (like mother like son-).
I also think something like Cassidy becoming more hostile and even jealous would clue Ashe in that something more is going on underneath the surface. Especially if Genji and Pharah, two people who obviously consider Cassidy family, are also noticing this and are also concerned.
Also Ashe slowly realising that Cassidy joining Overwatch gave him parental issues would be an....interesting sight to see, because if Cassidy didn't at least get Daddy issues from the shit Reyes pulled near the end of Overwatch. Also I want to point out Cassidy's situation with Reyes is strikingly similar to the situation with Julian.
GUESS WHO HAD A BRAIN BLAST-
So, Cassidy is being set up to become a leader for the new Overwatch, moving up from his traditional second in command position. Something also of note is that in Cassidy's journal entry he mentions that though he won't do it yet (I doubt he'll ever go through with it either), he does have the urge to leave.
Combining that with the increasing likelihood that Ashe is going to join Overwatch. I think Ashe might play a role in Cassidy's journey in becoming a leader, in a parallel to how Cassidy helped her in Deadlock rebels. Specifically I think she's going to be one of the people to knock some sense into him about not fitting in, like in a "bitch are you blind?", moment because I think she'd see pretty quickly how much the others look up to him.
It would also play into how Ashe has always been a leader, not only that but Ashe knows a side of Cassidy that not many people know. If you asked any Overwatch agent what they thought a Dealock Cassidy was like, they would say he was rude and cynical, but Ashe actually knows that part of his past. She is part of that past. So she'd have a better understanding on why Cassidy doesn't think he fits in, that the other agents don't need him when they do.
I don't know I just want a scene that just shows how close they are after they reconcile. I really hope they don't just go "of they're on good terms now" and leave it at that. I want to see moments where you can tell that were/are close post reconcile.
i definitely like this idea. i want ashe to notice the struggles before theyre on good terms again. in my own idea of ashe allying with overwatch (not joining) she isnt doing it for herself but to protect bob & other omnics in the gang
and even though they don’t really know each other anymore, they used to. cass has never really ‘fit in’ anywhere in his own opinion, which is probably why he job-hopped a lot as a teenager
i think a good plot point is ashe acclimating to life in overwatch way quicker than cassidy did when he joined.
1.) would be bcuz overwatch is inherently more welcoming now that blackwatch doesnt exist
2.) she’s a confident person who knows she’s a valuable asset
and i think this would be a good plot point to kick off more hostility or some jealousy (before they become comfortable with each other again) which would later be part of WHY ashe would play that part in helping him to be a leader
also i dont just want a scene either i want voice lines and stories and maybe if ashe does join have them mention each other in their logs make them kiss on screen

This was a hard decision because I wanted to keep the 3K but at the same time, this armor looks cool. I still like her Egyptian themes (ASP & Anubis) the most but I’m hoping they randomly drop in time.
