BRIEF HISTORY: A late bloomer; Pentathera, or Adalie, lived a very ordinary life as the daughter of a candlemaker and a shepherd until the Calamity forced her parents to flee to Gridania. Never quite finding a place to fit in, Adalie was determined to fulfill her life’s calling and chose odd jobs to help protect the people in her community, usually as a guard. After saving enough money to travel to Ul’dah, she was inspired by the paladins and now trains to become one in full.

I saw ur tags on that post about how every demon has an angel counter part about wanting to make ocs and im so here with you for that

I already have a sorta angelic oc, originally it was "What if my oc Paul Devereaux, attorney at law, was actually an angel incarnate?" And then it took on a life of its own in an au and now I'm left with this babby fallen angel with the face of Peter Sellers because apparently!!! My idea of angelic is just That, tbh!

Say hello to Phanuel, archangel of repentance and hope!

Also, from Wikipedia: "Phanuel's duties include bearing up God's throne, ministering Truth, and serving as an angel of judgement." So what I kinda like to think is that he was essentially a celestial lawyer. He was cast out of heaven for interfering with the mortal realm too often (being a guardian angel when it was not his duty to be) and questioning heavenly law. Basically, he was defending someone's soul, and decided that a law was unjust and therefore the mortal should not face consequences. Essentially he attempted a jury nullification, and was cast out. He's not a demon, but he's certainly not an angel of heaven anymore. He's kind of in limbo.

Design LARGELY inspired by @reshipkmn btw, because I ADORED the idea of a fallen angel's holy eyes being burned right out of their skin when they fall.

Added details that I kinda made up on my own: he originally had the full set of wings, three pairs! But after falling, to add insult to injury, the two extra pairs he had earned decayed and turned to ash. He's more human-looking than most angels because he's spent a lot of time with humans. Also, in heaven, rather than a sword, he wielded a VERY large gavel, which looked almost like a mace.

ANYWAYS YEAH. Tbh in the wake of the Good Omens craze, I am very tempted to make an ask/rp blog for this unique not-quite-angel not-quite-demon fella.
