I Need More Fentons
Currently, the phandom wiki only contains mentions of the main Fentons, plus John Fentonnightingale (ancestor), Dani (she got adopted in canon, apparently), and Grandpa Fenton. The line for Grandpa Fenton does not have any additional information linked to it. Alicia, Maddie's sister, is also there but she's not technically a Fenton.
I need more ideas for Fenton family members for a writing project I'm putting out in December. (Which is tomorrow.) So far, I'm gonna steal the idea of Uncle John from this post. I also have Jack's parents and one aunt fleshed out already, so I don't need ideas for them.
Does anyone care to share their headcanons on Fenton family members? Even if you make it up on the spot, I'll take it. Siblings, cousins, great uncles and aunts, etc. I'll make sure to credit you for the idea once the project is released if I end up using your character.
Thank you in advance (╥﹏╥)
Edit: Thank you so much, guys!! I've got a decent cast of Fentons here now, and I've learned more about family trees in the past two days than I ever had in grade school. I'll publish a complete family tree and details once I'm done with my Christmas project :)

DANNY PHANTOM FIC REC
TITLE/LINK RATING COMPLETED-WORD-COUNT SERIES
DPXDC soon
let me know if the links aren't working and feel free to recommend any
A Snapping Sound  T 140,368
"You're new Sam, so you don't know. This will be the only warning you get. Don't trust your eyes or you'll be tricked. Nobody in Amity is who they seem. Nobody."
Phantom Of Truth  T 58,396 SERIES
Locked away in a secret government lab with Phantom as her sole object of study, nothing stands between Maddie and the truth... except, perhaps, herself.
Paranormal Activity VII  T 58,400 SERIES
What if all those horror pictures and little mental health headcanons the Phandom loves got wrapped up into our favorite ghost kid? What if the ghosts weren't glowing green blobs, but instead the stuff of nightmares every horror movie warned you about? What if the "Scary Eyes" weren't the only sign Danny was angry?
Little Lion King  T
A ghost king AU where Danny is an all-powerful ruler/ beloved king and hero who is terrified that his people would hate him if they found out he was a halfa.
Just Fourteen  T 65,252
Danny Fenton is an average high school student whose biggest worry is getting the grades needed to become an astronaut. That is, until his friend Sam convinces him to step inside his parents' broken ghost portal...Covers Danny's time at Casper High before the accident and the month afterwards.
Mortified  T 703,484 SERIES
Danny had actually been looking forward to Casper High's ghost safety assembly, but, between a ghost attack and his parents' newest weapon, things go wrong very quickly. Now Danny will have to fight not only ghosts and hunters but his own instincts to get everyone back home safely. If at all.
Overshadowed  T 142,362
Danny Fenton’s managed to make it to adulthood. Erm…young adulthood? Now, in his sophomore year at Minnesota State, his life almost looks normal. Painfully, mind-numbingly normal. It’s not that he misses life-threatening assaults every minute of the day, but after leaving Amity Park behind, it’s almost like he’s left his past behind too. His old classmates, his family, his friends—none of them quite remember the myriad of paranormal perils they stopped together, and none of them remember that Danny Fenton and Danny Phantom are one and the same. But when a new threat—or rather, an old one—comes back to haunt him, Danny just might have to bring his two worlds together once again.
Below Is Silent  T 1,095
As he feels the freezing air on him, crashing with his own gelid flesh. He thinks. As he thinks, he senses. He fights, a bit of pain dotted here, and a bit here. Up above the wind stops, and goes around the town he calls his own.
What Was Bound, What Was Loosed  G SERIES
The young king slept for most of the first week of his reign. He did not seek his bedchambers, though they existed, and in a room not too far from the throne room. But he stayed in his throne, sleeping fitfully, and rising only to weep or shout or scream at nightmares. It was a good omen. Pariah had not been so peaceful.
One Another  G 1,282 SERIES
The Zone holds more than just ghosts, and Clockwork can't wait to see what Danny will become.
Something's Wrong With Danny Fenton Vol. I  M 55,065 SERIES
A No One Knows AU where Danny transfers from a different school to Casper during Junior year and ends up befriending Sam and Tucker.
Schrödinger’s Boy  G 1,610
At first glance, it looked like a boy. A cute boy in fact. Short compared to her tall. Pale skin in contrast to her deep dark, straight black hair opposed to curly blond. Baby blue opposing forest green. But then, the closer she looked, the more she noticed what was off. Skin was a little too pale to be considered healthy, and became slightly transparent as she saw more. Hair was wispy and floaty, almost defying gravity, almost flowing like it was under water as its head bounced. Eyes a bit more, sunken, a bit more tired. Worst of all, its heartbeat sounded so, so slow. And now, it was sitting two tables across from her.
Autonomy And Worse Things  T 48,942
In a moment of stress, Danny develops a new power, one far too electrically reminiscent of his death. With it, he can play puppeteer: when he speaks, people will listen, and they'll have thought all along the idea was their own. It's a terrifying power—and when Danny fails to control it, his friendships are left shattered in its wake.
Face To Face  T 293,614 SERIES
When Danny went through the ghost catcher, he expected to be cured of the ghostliness that had haunted him since the accident, not to wake up on the lab floor with his parents saying he’d been overshadowed but everything’s okay now. So why does Danny Fenton cry himself to sleep to then dream of flying? Why does Phantom, the ghost who was supposedly possessing Danny, remember a life that isn’t his? Most of all, why do both the human and the ghost feel that something vital is missing, in their very soul?
Trust Your Instincts  T 208,868 SERIES
A new kind of danger threatens Amity Park. With no other leads, Maddie Fenton turns to the one individual that might be able to help: Danny Phantom. Meanwhile, after a near death experience, she begins to question everything she knows about ghosts.
Let's Make A Deal   M 2,509 SERIES
When Danny dies in the portal accident, Sam and Tucker make a deal to bring their friend back.
Danny And His Blob Ghosts  T 11,301
When two blob find and affectionately latch onto Danny, the halfa immediately adopts the small ghosts. But things are not as they seem. With Danny's horrifying recurring nightmares, Vlad Master's ominous behavior, and the blob's strange human-like eyes, keen intelligence, and intense fear of the older half ghost, there might just be a greater connection between Danny and his blobs, one that will shake the boy to his core.
Do You Know Where Your Children Are?  T
It's a school night. It's dark outside. It's cold. Green— fog?— has invaded the whole house, and now he has to get his parents to tackle whatever that problem is. ...The only problem is, Danny woke up alone in his bedroom, and he can't seem to find them. Like. Anyone. Anywhere.
Danny + Phantom  NR
Wherein Danny is less 'half ghost' than he is 'awkwardly possessed'.
An Unlikely Alliance  T 15,165
Maddie just wants her family back. In a desperate attempt to understand her youngest's change in behavior, Maddie unwittingly enlists the help of his enemies to exorcize Phantom from her son.
Good And Evil  T 3,687
What is "good"? What is "evil"? Am I "good"? Am I "evil"? The truth is, I don't know anymore. But why am I asking myself this? Let me start from the beginning...
Crashing And Burning  T 17,150
For two years, Maddie has put up with Danny's ridiculous lies and excuses. She's tried everything to get through to him, but the pattern just goes on. She's so tired of fighting him on this all the time. And so, after two years, she's done. She doesn't care what her son does anymore, because Danny doesn't seem to care that he's her son.
Wake Me Up To Say Goodbye  T 23,345
The morning started like any other: wake up, get dressed, make sure Danny got up for school. It all fell apart when Jack's hand went through his son's apparently not-so-solid body.
Kintsugi  T 24,141 SERIES
An injured Danny went to his parents for help as Phantom, only to later wake up as Fenton. With their already dysfunctional family shattered, Danny picks up the broken pieces.
Snap  T 25,742
One careless fall changed Danny's life forever. He was kind of hoping one fall like that was enough for any lifetime. Clearly fate disagreed. It's fine though! He's got this. He's fine. He can totally explain why he ran off with his own body to mom and dad.
A Choice In The (Ghostly) Matter  T 26,254 SERIES
Danny had been having a good year. He finally managed to find at least somewhat of a balance between fending off ghosts and his actual life, or at least a routine that wasn’t actively harming him. But then Clockwork decided to meddle in his life, appearing in his bedroom with some less-than-amazing news. Pariah is fading, and guess who's next in line for the throne?
Whenever You’re Ready  G 12.720
Jack and Maddie try to show their son they are very supportive of Phantom once they find out his secret. They want him to tell them on his terms, but everything ends up in bigger misunderstandings and more revelations they weren’t prepared for.
How You've Changed  T 2,500
Danny wasn't a ghost, at least, not a ghost pretending to be their child. He was... he was still their child. He was just, wrong.
Irrefutably Human  G 35,276
After spending 12 years in the Ghost Zone, Danny decides it’s time to see what the Human World has to offer. He quickly learns that blending in with humans is a lot harder than he thought it’d be… and that just maybe, the elder ghosts had a reason for keeping him in the Zone for so long.
Run Away, Ghost King  G
When Pariah Dark's legacy fades and the King Stone calls for Danny Phantom to inherent the crown, only his enemies prefer he remain alive and not the all powerful ruler of the Infinite Realms. His name is whispered among ghosts, reverence and resentment flavoring his deeds, but what use is a crown with a price weighed in blood? To become king, Danny Fenton must die.
Regulations: Too Little Too Late  T SERIES
His parents were friends with a weird loner billionaire from the sounds of it, and had never thought to mention it before this trip. Strange, he supposed, but his parents often forgot to do or mention important things. At least no ghosts had shown up this far outside of Amity. Yet.
Let's Pretend The Fog Has Lifted  T SERIES
He waits. Time passes. Warmth creeps across his left side in thin stripes. The blinds must be open. Afternoon sunlight kisses his face before slowly moving on. Pipes creak. The house settles. A voice shouts indistinctly outside. It'll be night soon. He considers turning on a lamp but laughs quietly to himself instead. What would be the point? If anything good could be said of his time spent under Freakshow, he's at least learned how to be patient.
Nodus Tollens  NR
The realization that the plot of your life doesn't make sense to you anymore.
The Amity Boys  T SERIES
"Amity Park: A Nice Lie." Skeptic Newcomer Wes Weston and Veteran of the Paranormal Dash Baxter start a radio broadcast to post online to gain insight into Amity Park. Once they hit record, their lives will never be the same. The pair must decipher rumors from folklore and fact from fiction-- exploring a decaying one-stop-light ghost town. Can their friendship survive the living dead, and will Wes ever find the truth behind the mysterious Amity Park Phantom?
Everything Was White  M SERIES
After being accidentally revealed to the public and taken away by the government, Danny deals with the aftermath of his time with the GIW.
Memory Of What May Have Been And Never Will Be  G 3,962
Valerie Gray from ten years in the future falls through a natural portal, landing in the past. Unable to get home, she decides to do the best thing she can - kill Danny Phantom.
Hold My Dying Breath  T
Danny is dead. Danny is dying. Danny is alive. Danny is trying to hold together what bits of his life he can, without putting anyone in danger. Jazz is worried about her baby brother. Sam and Tucker are bitter and mad at their ex-friend. Valerie wants nothing to do with any of this. Dash wandered into this mess and refuses to leave without answers. A circus looms in their near future.
Cuddle Couch  T 4,418
Valerie just wanted to buy a new couch to replace the one Cujo tore to shreds. She didn’t know babysitting her boyfriend in a furniture store would prove so difficult.
Dying (Again)  T 2,630
Saying Danny was half ghost was frankly a simplification. In truth, he was more ⅞’s ghost. Maybe more, depending on the day. Truthfully, it was a miracle his ectoplasm had kept his human heart beating as long as it had. Or Danny was dying again. This time he couldn’t bring himself to care.
Mother Knows Best  T 5,647
Pamela Manson knows her role: she is Samantha's mother and that means that it is her duty to protect her daughter from harm. Especially as her own mother seemed to have missed that memo.
Accidental Child Aquisition  NR
Danny's got enough on his plate between Ghost King duties, surviving his parents, surviving the GIW, and surviving high school. He could do without the summonings from crazed fruitloops on random Tuesdays when he has things to do. He could definitely do without said fruitloops offering him kids as sacrifices when he finally made it clear he didn't like them offering up blood, animals, or adults.
Don't Shoot; It's Me! No, The Other Guy!  NR 31,935
After a botched attempted reveal, Valerie thinks Fenton and Phantom body swapped! And maybe he'd be able to solve this (and the rest of his current issues) if Valerie could stand to leave Fenton with Phantom for long enough for him to solve them; but now they (all three of them, yes) are off to have an adventure in the far frozen. Literally how did he get here?
Deranged Senses  T 12,953
Danny’s been doing fine. Sure, he has to focus on keeping himself from shaking, and the voice in his head goading him to hurt has been getting louder, but its fine. He’s got it under control. He’s human more than he is ghost, and he has things to fight for. He can’t afford to give in. He won’t give in. He won't.
Second Chances And The Days That Follow  T SERIES
Phantom awakens in his new body, and he is not, per se, house trained. Vlad is devoted to his new purpose, and he's a little bit in over his head. Danny is trying his goddamn best.
Ghosting  T
“But as soon as he’s about to move in that direction, a twig snapping nearby has him whirling around with a growl. He doesn’t have the energy to go invisible right now, but that doesn’t stop him from gathering a green glow at his fingertips, ready to blast the first face he sees. He hunches over in a vain attempt to hide or protect his injured side and bares his teeth at the threat. But instead of hunters chasing him down to kill him, out of the woods comes— Sam Manson. Phantom freezes. Oh no.”
Meet Me In The Woods  T
When Danny is two years old, his cousin Flynn goes missing and is never found. When Danny is fourteen years old, he notices a blip on the radar that shouldn't be there.
Mortality Salience  T 4,219
"The beam sat smugly across his thighs and pressed into his pelvis with a weight that felt like a thousand tonnes. Pain throbbed through him, cutting breaths short and making every movement agony." OR Danny and Valerie get stuck together
Smells Like Team Spirit  G 3,133 SERIES
Some mascots are great at pumping up a crowd. As Casper High's mascot, Danny has only one job: strike fear into the hearts of their opponents. This is the story of how Danny becomes the famed Mascot of Fear.
Speak To Me  G 2,202
Danny had heard of "dead languages" before, but this was just ridiculous.
Threads Of Time  T 28,222
Maddie keeps on waking up to Thursday morning
The Curious Case Of Danny Fenton   G 15,639
Wes Weston knows perfectly well that there is something off about Danny Fenton. His brother Kyle doesn't seem to see it, but his brother also doesn't believe in ghosts.
Boy King  G 2,602
Danny is heir to the throne of the Ghost King, much to the displeasure of the Observants. He's just trying to survive his senior year.
Shatter  G 1,836 SERIES
Danny had just been electrocuted four days ago. But that was okay. Because he was fine. Even if there was this weird pressure in his chest, and his skin didn't feel like his own, and his whole body felt cold and alien, and he kept tripping over his feet. He was fine. He was human.
A Connoisseur of Fine Art  G 698 SERIES
Well, you know what they say: One ghost’s toilet is another ghost's treasure.
Elledritch Horror  NR 1,461
A mother finds something strange about her daughter. If that's her daughter at all...
Cloned To Homed  G 26,765 SERIES
Danny Phantom was a protector, not a hurter, there’s no way he could genuinely have destroyed those clones and maybe the Fenton parents wouldn’t be quite so bothered or quite so surprised by the existence of halfas as Danny once feared.
Am I Dreaming?  T 1,718
Sam comes to and realizes she's not quite herself. No matter what anyone says, remember, this is Fenton's Fault.
The Invisible Crown Of A Child  G 725 SERIES
Maddie was observant and the Crown Of Fire wasn’t something she was about to miss... even if it’s wearer seemed to have no clue.
Prince Before King. Genius Before Fool.  G 11,215
Becoming the prince of ghosts isn’t in Danny’s weekend plans, but it doesn’t look like he has a choice in the matter. (Or does he?)
Revelations  T 4,118
Death is a joke, a walking comedy, and Danny Fenton had always been a comedian.  Monologues, acidic blood, a little girl that looked his spitting image, and bones.
Second Chances  T 3,982
The students and faculty of Casper High mourned the tragic death of Daniel Fenton. Gone too soon thanks to the negligence of his parents. That was what everyone thought until the next Monday morning when Danny came strolling into school like nothing had ever happened.
Halfa Whole  G 484
Somehow, he just knew, right down to his core, that he wasn’t the same thing as Vlad and Danielle.
The Case Study Of Wes Weston  T
His face wasn't that memorable. Even after seeing him just that morning, Danny could only conjure up his reddish brown hair and freckle-splattered cheeks, but not much else. At first, it didn’t matter much. Danny didn’t even bother to confirm his name. But after the curious streak dragged on and on, and spiraled into a full on investigation, he learned the name. And now he can’t seem to stop hearing it. ‘Wes Weston asked me for this’, ‘Wes Weston did that last week’, ‘I saw Wes Weston here’, ‘I heard he was there’, ‘Wes is so cool’, ‘I hate that guy’. Suddenly, he’s everywhere. It seems like everyone except Danny knows Wes Weston. And, it seems like Wes Weston knows…everything.
A Grave Error  T 1,521
A fluorescent green gaze pierced through him from the rearview mirror. As much as the eye contact sent chills down Dale's spine, he didn't want to look away. Some primal part of his brain was much more comfortable keeping his eyes firmly planted on the predator in the back seat of the police car.
"Why won't he leave?" Dale whispered to his partner, the woman grit her teeth.
"I don't know, but I'm not the idiot who decided to fucking arrest him."
Proximal  T
There's an old superstition that bad things come in threes. Finding a gravely injured Phantom in her lab, then the realization that no one has seen her son for nearly twenty-four hours... Maddie doesn't want to know what the final nail will be.
I Feel Guilty But I Can't Feel Ashamed  M 63,915 SERIES
Fentons were feared. Danny had this impressed on him from both of his parents and even his snobby sister for all of his fourteen years. Despite Danny taking after Maddie with his love of dissecting anything that could scream, Danny was the least evil Fenton to ever evil. Then everything changed when his parents built a very strange machine.
Down The Rabbit Hole  T 33,586
Her father might have been a bit eccentric and distancing, her mother fond of ghost studies – especially doing that secretly in her lab without Dad’s consent – but no matter the oddness, Dani loved her parents. But she never could have guessed that her world would turn upside-down once she simply wanted to get away from their exceptional heated debate – in which case, she would end up in a twisted world where nothing was as things were supposed to be: her father had no child, her mother lived with another man, had another family, and… she didn’t exist at all
The Boy Who Fell Into The Sea  T 34,272
Thrust into the world of the sea monsters, Danny learns that they aren't so different after all, and finds himself working on a way to bring them both together. Too bad he seemed to be Really Bad At Doing So.
A Night At The High School  G 15,456
Ever since the accident two years ago, Danny has had what some people would call luck when it comes to the paranormal. When he heard that Sam wanted to use that "luck" in help with a class assignment, he knew it was a bad idea. It was an absolutely terrible idea. And yet, he was gonna go along with this anyways.
Emergency Contact  T
When William Lancer answered the phone that day, little did he know that he would go from an average literature teacher and cat-dad to now the emergency foster parent for a very injured teenage ghost. Life had a funny way of being unpredictable like that
(We Are) The Fault Line  T 46,616
A year after the asteroid, a new government agency has arrested Danny on "public endangerment" charges, and they've shown no sign of releasing him any time soon or even allowing any of his loved ones to see him. So, naturally, Sam and Tucker and Valerie and Dani have taken it upon themselves to rescue him. The plan is simple. In order to convince these federally funded goons to give Danny up, they're going to have to offer them something better. Enter Vlad Plasmius.
Shift  T 22,4415 SERIES
In which Danny's secret is revealed to the world before he ever steps foot in Amity Park…and before he ever meets Sam or Tucker.
Weaving Webs M 20,951
The Fenton parents were there when the accident happened, they saw Danny die in an act of sabotage. Now they’re just trying to go on with the strange ghost that is all that's left of Danny. While their old college friend is wondering where the subjects of his revenge are.
Not My Circus, Not My Monkeys (If Only That Were True) T 12,483
Danny has enough on his plate as it is, between his kingly duties, the ghosts that have dropped off the map so suddenly that he's starting to worry, and that dang itch - which was beginning to turn into pain - that just won't go away. He doesn't need to deal with this creepy circus and its equally creepy ringmaster. But when he encounters four strange ghosts robbing a jewelry store, and he starts losing time… He realizes that he can't avoid Circus Gothica forever. If only he could say not my circus, not my monkeys and just be done with it.
MISC
The Crown Of Flame Imperishable  M SERIES
Danny responds to an elaborate fetch quest across Middle Earth with leeroy jenkins tactics (rushing in knowing nothing) while Fright Knight watches in disbelief that it's working.
The Phantom Martian  T
When Astronaut Mark Watney went to Mars, he knew there was a chance he'd never come home. Now, though, he's determined to last long enough for NASA to save him because this whole dying for science thing is not as fun as it sounds. Meanwhile, Danny Fenton is just trying to keep his identity a secret amidst a potential crisis with his powers. Seriously, what's up with that weird current under his skin? Why is he having so much trouble controlling it? And why does it feel so familiar...? In a fit of determination (and possible stupidity), Danny goes to Mars to save Watney, only to add to both their crises when he arrives and can't get home. Will NASA save them? Will Danny have a home to return to if they do?
Phantom's Fables (A One Shot Collection)  M SERIES
A collection of story ideas that I lack the motivation to make into full stories at the moment. Will mostly be Danny Phantom crossovers with DC and probably a little bit of Marvel or BNHA. Requests are welcome. Any one-shot series that makes it to five chapters will graduate to it's own fic.
The Ghost Of Heroes  T 291,238 SERIES
New York City isn't prepared for a ghostly invasion. The Avengers are finally all in the same place again. Thor and Bruce are back from space with a semi-reformed chaos god and a thousand refugees in tow. Steve and the Rogues have got their pardons and are ready to start being heroes again. But Tony isn't ready trust, neither is his new protegee Spiderman. The fractured team can't seem to come together. It's a good thing then that Danny Phantom is ready to save the day. That doesn't mean anyone is prepared for when he keeps showing up.
John Doe Identified  M 6,233 SERIES
Phantom luck strikes again as Danny gets hurt wandering the streets of NYC but he is saved by the most unlikey hero-antihero. Things happen, mistakes are made, identities are revealed, and somehow hearts are slightly mended.
Dead Heat Rising  M 13,044
Working a job in Amity Park, Ohio, Sam and Dean Winchester encounter a ghost boy who will change their perspective of those beyond the veil...

Hey everyone! So earlier I posted my idea for a fanfic based on some fan art I saw of Sister Daniel and Blonde Phil by @cowboykate and @lumintsu! And now the first chapter is finally up on AO3! Here’s the link!
I also have the first chapter posted below if you wanna read it here. (I’ll be posting the rest of the chapters on AO3.)
Chapter 1: A Not-So-Grand Entrance
BGM: https://youtu.be/QFnNDj42Eig?si=9DZyNjeirH1sTLn6
“C’mon, c’mon, I can’t be late…not like last time!”
Phil mumbled incoherently in a panic as he grabbed his travel coffee mug and stuffed it in the bag on his shoulder mixed in with unorganized bits of paperwork. He was called in earlier to a last-minute urgent meeting held by the Council of Heavenly-Earthly Affairs, although he wasn’t informed what the discussion topic would be. Whatever it was, it was extremely important.
Phil took a deep breath and flapped his wings a few times to get a feeling for the air. He opened his door and quickly flew out into the Celestial City, darting through the ethereal streets. Each beat of his wings flapped with an urgency that was on the border of panic. He zigzagged between towering spires of light and around floating gardens, nearly colliding with a few other angels, who yelled at him to watch where he was going as he passed them by. Phil managed a breathless “Sorry!” as he twisted and turned, looking in the distance to see the shimmering building that housed the Council of Heavenly-Earthly Affairs looming closer.
As Phil slowed the beat of his wings and landed at the bottom of the grand steps, he could already hear the steady hum of the meeting from inside the grand chamber. The massive golden entrance doors loomed in front of him, shut tightly. Phil’s face grew in fear as he glanced at the ornate floating clock above the entrance.
He was late. VERY late.
Phil quickly darted around to the less dignified entrance-a small, nondescript door that was often used by maintenance angels to keep the building in shape. He prayed a silent prayer and yanked the door, squeezing through. His wings suddenly got caught in the frame and he was sent tumbling into a dimly lit corridor. Breathing heavily, Phil quickly scrambled to his feet, his pristine white robe slightly askew and a feather or two out of place.
Phil emerged into the blindingly bright council chamber, and hundreds of angelic heads turned simultaneously to look at him. At the head of the room, the Archangel Gabriel, who was chairing the meeting, stared down at him with a serious expression. Phil felt the heat rise to his cheeks as he adjusted his crooked halo.
“Ah, Philip,” Gabriel intoned, his voice echoing through the vast hall, “I was beginning to wonder when you would arrive. Might I say your sense of punctuality is in need of..amelioration.”
“Phil wanted to roll his eyes at the higher angels' use of big words but did it mentally as Gabriel’s temper was..unpredictable at times. And Phil already knew what his bad side was like. Pretty much the whole of Heaven itself did.
“M-my apologies, Archangel Gabriel.” Phil stuttered, trying to regain some semblance of composure. “I got..caught up with a flock of migrating seraphim on the way.” A few murmurs and chuckles spread throughout the assembly. Phil forced a fake smile and stepped forward, taking his place at his respective seat in the room. Sure, he had a not-so-grand entrance, but he was here and Gabriel (thankfully) left it at that. Now he just had to cross his fingers (and probably his wings) and hope that his tardiness wouldn’t overshadow his contribution to whatever critical matter was at hand.
Gabriel cleared his throat and the murmurs subsided instantly. “Now, as I was saying before Phillip untimely joined us, we have pressing matters at hand concerning the relationship between earthly destinies and celestial mandates…”
But Phil’s mind drifted far away from those discussions. The rhythmic drone of the angelic voices discussing the fine details of divine plans blurred into a gentle hum. Phil’s gaze wandered to the stained-glass windows high above, depicting scenes of cosmic splendor and past divine interventions. He couldn’t help but imagine himself soaring through those starry skies, free from the heavy responsibilities of heavenly bureaucracy. Because although Phil loved working for the Council, he had to admit it got boring at times.
And this was one of those times.
“Philip!” A sudden firm voice boomed, sending a loud echo through the room.
Phil blinked and snapped his head forward, finding the piercing gaze of Archangel Gabriel locked onto him. The room once again fell silent, all eyes turning back to where Phil sat, his face now a shade of red that was deeper than the darkest pits of Hell.
“Y-yes sir?” Phil replied, trying to steady his voice.
Gabriel’s expression was a mix of sternness and amusement. “It appears your mind has wandered far from this council. I hope you’re ready to pay attention now, as you’ve been given an assignment of the utmost importance.”
Phil’s heart skipped a beat. An assignment? For him? Usually he was given simple paperwork, but something like this? The back of his neck pricked with nervous anticipation. “I-yes, of course. What is it, sir?”
Gabriel’s eyes softened slightly, though his tone remained authoritative. “This assignment has come from none other than God himself. You are to receive the details directly from him immediately.”
Phil almost spat out the coffee he was currently drinking. He quickly placed his cup down, trying to get a hold of himself as he coughed. After a few seconds he looked up. A collective gasp echoed through the chamber upon hearing Gabriel’s words. Phil’s wings twitched nervously and his palms suddenly felt clammy. Meeting God? Himself? This was beyond the realm of normal ordinary assignments. Usually responsibilities such as these were given to higher-up angels such as seraphims or virtues, but not lowly angels like him.
“Sir, there must be an honest mistake,” Phil protested. “Why me?”
Gabriel stepped down from the dais and flew down towards Phil with a measured pace. “God tends to work in mysterious ways, Philip. He sees potential and purpose in ways that others cannot.” He eventually stood in front of Phil, continuing to gaze down at him with authoritative eyes. “You are to go immediately to the Sanctum of Light. He is waiting for you.”
Phil swallowed hard, nodding quickly. His mind raced with a thousand questions and fears, but he knew better than to voice them here. He slowly rose to his feet and flew down from his seat to the exit doors, the various angels in the room parting like the Red Sea to let him pass. As he flew down, the murmurs of his fellow angels followed him, a blend of envy, curiosity, and encouragement.
Another higher-ranking angel, a seraphim, met him at the doors to escort him to the Sanctum of Light. Once they exited, the grand doors of the chamber slammed behind him. Phil once again found himself in the long main corridors of the building. The seraphim, without saying a word, gestured him to follow them and Phil was led down a series of unfamiliar hallways that only his escort seemed to know. They seemed to stretch endlessly, every flap of his wings echoing and amplifying his trepidation. He'd never felt so small, so unworthy.
Finally, the two reached the Sanctum’s entrance, a pair of towering radiant doors that pulsed with divine energy. His escort turned to him and nodded.
“Good luck. May God grant you mercy.”
Phil wasn’t sure whether that was an encouragement or threat, but it made him gulp nervously either way. The seraphim then teleported out of sight, leaving Phil alone at the entrance doors.
It was now or never. Taking a deep breath, Phil placed his trembling hand on the door. It swung open silently, revealing a blinding expanse of pure light.
Phil trepidatiously stepped inside as the doors closed behind him. Although the Sanctum was mainly used for meditation and reflection purposes, he was feeling far from peaceful. Why wouldn’t he be? After all, he was meeting THE GOD. The Creator of all life on Earth. The Ruler of Heaven himself.
“Philip Michael Lester,”
A booming voice echoed in the air. Phil turned his head and gasped as he saw a brighter light envelop an elderly-looking man with a long white beard and eyes full of love and kindness.
Phil’s eyes widened in a mixture of awe and fear. Gulping harder, he nodded. “Uh, yes, it’s me, Lord. You said you had an important assignment for me?”
God nodded and spoke once more. “Indeed.” He clasped his hands behind his back and looked in the distance towards the Celestial City. “We have been getting several reports of multiple demonic invasions happening on Earth from undercover angels. The Council is unsure of why this is so, but after a few meetings with some earthly priests, we have come to the conclusion that it is highly possible that Satan and his Counselors are preparing for Armageddon.”
“Wait..what?? You mean…” This couldn’t be. Sure, Phil had read about some reports of demonic possessions happening among mortals as of lately, but he didn’t think it would become this bad. And now, the apocalypse on Earth was probably a few days from happening. But that still didn’t answer his question of why God summoned him. “Um, sir.” He cleared his throat. “I understand those events have been occuring, but why did you call me here in the first place?”
God turned around and smiled with a warmth that dispelled some of Phil’s fear. “Because I’ve chosen you to recruit a moral on Earth to assist you in preventing this hellish plan. The Council has already picked out who that person will be, and your task is to find them, guide them, and persuade them to help you in thwarting Satan’s plans.”
Phil’s pupils contracted in fear. He swallowed nervously. Traveling to Earth to persuade someone to help him stop an entire army of demons? No, there was absolutely no way! He had never even been to Earth before in the first place! He shook his head. “Sir, I don’t understand. Why me? I mean, I’m just a low-ranking angel who mostly works behind the scenes of the Council. I-I don’t do field work! And-“
“Because Philip,” God placed a reassuring hand on the angel’s shoulder. “You possess a unique understanding of humanity and a compassionate heart. Not only that, but your persuasion skills are beyond comparison.”
“What do you mean?”
“Do you remember the time you persuaded Raphael to travel to Earth to protect those in Europe during the Black Plague?”
“Well, yeah, but that was hundreds of years ago-“
“Or the time you convinced Archangel Michael to go undercover when a group of demons were plotting an attack in America during the Salem Witch Trials?”
“Of course, but I-“
“Phil,” continued the deity, “there are many other examples I can name, but the point is that you have a gift like no other. Trust your instincts. I have faith that you will be the one to lead this rebellion. Even if you may not have faith in yourself.”
Phil nodded, though the anxiety still gnawed at him. “Are you sure that I am the one to do this? Out of all the angels in Heaven you could have chosen?” God nodded sincerely, chuckling. “Phil, I wouldn’t have summoned you here if I didn’t. Believe in your purpose.”
Phil was still trying to wrap his head around the concept of him leading a rebellion against the entirety of Hell with a random mortal from Earth. The thought seemed to be insane, but who was he to deny a request from God Himself? To deny something like that would be blasphemous, he thought. After much debate in his mind, he took a deep breath, the weight of the responsibility settling on his shoulders. “Ok, I’ll do it.”
“Perfect!” Exclaimed God. He snapped his fingers and another angel appeared before him. It was the seraphim that escorted Phil to the Sanctum before. “Phil, I’d like you to meet Zion. They will be your main point of contact while you are on Earth. If you need any assistance, just give them a heads up..”
Zion stepped forward and placed a small device that looked like a smartphone in Phil’s hands. “It’s designed to look like an earthly cell phone to avoid suspicion.” They explained. “All of my contacts are in there with everything updated. If you need anything, I’ll be at Headquarters ready for your call. I’ll also keep in touch just to check how everything’s going.”
“Thank you.” Phil nodded and slightly gripped the smartphone. God raised his hand and suddenly a portal of shimmering light appeared before Phil. “Go now, Phil. Time is of the essence. May you find courage and strength in your mission.”
Phil took one last glance towards the deity. With a final nod, he stepped through the portal, feeling the familiar pull of the mortal realm like a magnet. As the light enveloped him, he silently prayed that God made the right decision. The fate of not only Earth, but both Heaven and Hell depended on him.
And at this rate, he vowed to not let them down.

i've received SEVERAL asks in the last week for me to drop a fic rec list. im assuming a bunch of it is people getting into the phandom via the graphic novel. i've been wanting to put together lexx's ultimate fic rec list for a hot minute, and have been collecting fics to do so, but i wanna make sure i don't leave anything out.
i also literally just moved states yesterday so i've been dealing with the packing/unpacking thing, as well as everything else that comes with moving (seeing old friends, family visiting, Boxes), so yeahhh that's kinda my life atm.
anyway, just wanted to say that I SEE THE ASKS AND WILL ASSEMBLE MY FIC REC LIST. it just won't be till next week!

Help, post finders!
This is for the Danny Phandom (more specifically DPxDC), but I know a lot of us follow you, oh mighty owl.
It was a post about Vlad being Ghost King and agreeing to help the Justice League with a treat in exchange of Jason (implied to be a halfa). They had summoned him using Jason's blood.
Everyone was saying no, but Damian says/jokes "sounds fair to me", and Vlad says something like "Sold! To the little boy with too much hair gel!" and then takes Jason to the Ghost Zone, where Danny tells him he has been adopted by the most powerful fruitloop.
My offerings to the rats and thanks in advance: 🍔🌭🥪🥨🍟🍕🌮🌯🥙🧆🥘🥟🍢🍙🍘🍥🍡🥠🥮🍧🍨🍦🥧🍰🍮🎂🧁🍭🍫🍬🍩🍪🧃🍿
Post finders, ASSEMBLE!

I feel like being in the phandom for so long just fundamentally shaped how I engage with media
cataloguing objects in the background. identifying on-camera/public voice versus off-camera/directed at another person voice. analyzing the micro-expressions and body language of people not currently talking. recognizing how "personal space" is/isnt enforced. scanning the edges of frames for extra "information". information on what? idk but its important
hell its not even conscious when I mentally assemble the floor plan of a place across multiple unrelated shots at this point...

Danny’s Terrible, Haunting Visage, Mouth Unmoving
Hi, Danny Phantom phandom. I Made This For You. I stayed up until five a.m. writing it so I hope you’re happy.
Happy Dannypocalypse :) @horrendoushag
Word count: 2190
-------
There was a Face glowing in the darkness. It was glowing because it was on a computer screen, but that didn’t make it any less terrible and haunting.
Sam Manson grinned maniacally as she stared into the Face’s blank eyes, then looked away because they were a bit too blank. That didn’t mean she was backing out on her plan, though. She was no coward.
The printer loudly chugged out sheet upon sheet of paper, but the size of Sam’s house meant her parents would never hear. They would never know how much work she put into this, how many bribes she had to make, the blood she had to spill—and that was fine, because she didn’t want them to.
In the dark of night and the light of the wicked Face on the computer monitor, Sam snapped her scissors and set to work.
~
Morning dawned bright and early. Too bright and too early, in the opinions of some.
This “some” included one Danny Fenton, who had spent more than half the night dead and fighting other dead people who didn’t appreciate his puns. He got to bed at four a.m. and was running on two hours of sleep at most, so you could pardon him if he didn’t at first notice something amiss when he got to school.
Another reason he didn’t notice anything amiss was that his head was stuck in his locker to avoid the too-bright fluorescent lights some maniac had installed in the ceiling, and he had his eyes closed.
“Hey,” a voice said on the other side of his locker door.
Danny grunted. The voice was familiar, but he was too tired to figure out who it was right now.
“You okay, Danny?” the voice asked. It was too loud in the same way the lights were too bright, and the same could be said for the rest of the hallway. That’s another reason Danny had his head in his locker; things were quieter there.
Danny grunted again.
“Yeah, I know, you were up all night fighting ghosts. But you need to get up, man, first period is starting soon.”
Danny almost considered climbing into his locker and going to sleep then and there, but then he remembered that Mr. Lancer was the teacher in first period, so instead he groaned and pulled his head out.
He turned and was greeted by a hallucination.
At least, that’s what he assumed it was. A combination of the lack of sleep, the brightness of the light, and a hard knock on the head he got from Skulker last night.
Because everyone in the hallway was wearing his face.
Beyond his locker door, where the voice he now recognized as Tucker’s had been coming from, his own blank eyes stared back at him—or rather, at his soul. Danny blinked a few times in the hopes that the face would resolve itself into Tucker’s, but no—it stayed the same. Tucker’s body, Tucker’s beret, wearing Danny’s own terrible, haunting visage.
“Finally!” Danny’s terrible, haunting visage said, mouth unmoving, using Tucker’s voice. “Come on, we need to get to Mr. Lancer’s class!” One of the figure’s hands, Tucker’s hand, reached out and grabbed Danny’s arm. Tucker’s body started dragging Danny in the direction of the classroom.
“Wait—wait,” Danny said, clumsily forcing them to a stop. “What’s going on? What—why is everyone wearing my face?”
Tucker—it was Tucker, right?—turned to Danny and cocked his head. “Your face? What do you mean?”
Danny stared at him, face a blank reflection of the other’s, as his half-dead and half-asleep brain tried to come up with an adequate way of articulating what was going on. He looked to the side, saw several of the same face conversing with one another, and looked back. “Just… this?”
“This?” Tucker repeated. “I don’t know what you’re talking about Danny, but we need to get to class. Come on, we’re meeting Sam there.”
This time, Danny allowed himself to be dragged to Mr. Lancer’s classroom. All around him, everyone had the same Face. His Face. They were acting perfectly normal otherwise—he even saw Dash yeeting a football at Kwan, though it took him a few moments to recognize them. The only one who seemed to realize there was anything strange about this was Danny.
They reached the classroom and took their seats inside. Danny looked hopefully to where Sam was sitting, but she, too, was wearing The Face.
“Hey Danny,” she said, and was it just the hallucination or did she sound incredibly pleased with herself? “Sleep well?”
“No,” Danny said. “Do you have any idea what’s going on around here?”
“What?” Okay, no, yeah, she sounded really smug. “What are you talking about?
“The Face.” Danny made sure the capital letters were audible. “Why is everyone wearing my face?”
“Um, that’s what everyone looks like, Danny.” The expressionless eyes where Sam’s should have been gave an impression of being rolled, despite not moving at all. “Remember? After that whole thing with the Reality Gauntlet, everyone got stuck like this. And since you kind of destroyed the Reality Gauntlet, well…” She shrugged. “No going back.”
And no, yeah, Danny was pretty sure he would remember if that happened. This was just… a prank. A really wild prank, because he couldn’t imagine why the A-listers would also be in on it, or in fact everyone he’d seen at school today. But it had to be a prank, nonetheless. He wouldn’t believe otherwise unless he saw Lancer with The Face.
And speak of the maybe literal devil, Mr. Lancer chose that exact moment to walk into the room.
“All right, everyone,” said Danny’s terrible, haunting visage, mouth unmoving, using Lancer’s voice. Which sounded exceptionally annoyed today. “Get out your books. And congratulations, Mr. Fenton”—it was said with such venom that Danny would be cringing if he weren’t in shock—“for being on time for once.”
Danny thought he heard a giggle somewhere, but he was too busy staring at Lancer’s—his Face on Lancer’s body.
Vlad, then. He wouldn’t believe this wasn’t a prank unless he saw Vlad wearing The Face.
~
Principal Ishiyama had called an assembly.
Danny dragged his feet among a crowd of other Danny-Faced people, careful to avoid looking anyone in his eye. They all chattered away curiously, mouths unmoving, wondering why their classes in third period had been cancelled. Many were rejoicing the new absence of math or English or whatever from their schedule today, but Danny couldn’t bring himself to care. In fact, he had a bad feeling about this assembly.
As soon as everyone had taken their seats, Principal Ishiyama, whose normal face had also somehow been replaced by The Face, spoke into her microphone.
“Hello, students!” said Danny’s terrible, haunting visage, mouth unmoving, using Principal Ishiyama’s voice. “Today we have a special guest, who’s volunteered to talk to you all about—”
There was a physically painful moment of interference in the speakers; everyone plugged their ears. Principal Ishiyama didn’t seem to notice, for some reason.
“—so let me introduce our city’s mayor, Vlad Masters!”
Everyone clapped politely, except Danny, but including Sam and Tucker, bizarrely enough. Danny could only stare in abject horror as Vlad Masters, wearing Danny’s terrible, haunting visage, walked calmly onto the stage.
“Yes, yes,” said Danny’s terrible, haunting visage, mouth unmoving, using Vlad’s annoying voice. “Thank you, Principal Ishiyama. And hello, Casper High students! It is such an honor to be here today, teaching you all about—”
The speakers had another physically painful moment of interference that caused everyone to plug their ears, but neither Vlad nor once again Principal Ishiyama seemed to notice.
“—such promising young men and women as yourselves. In light of recent political challenges, I have truly realized the importance of educating our country’s youth in order to build a better future—”
Danny had seen and heard enough. Mostly seen. With a look to his friends on either side of him, he quietly slipped to the ground, waved goodbye, and phased through the floorboards.
He emerged on the other side as the dead version of himself. No one was around to see, since this was the basement, but better safe than sorry.
He floated around for a few minutes, glanced at a few warped versions of his reflection he managed to find in various metal things, then pulled out his phone in an attempt to distract himself.
Then he remembered that Skulker broke his phone last night. He remembered because the screen was now a bunch of shattered glass, and if you looked closely the entire phone had been snapped in half.
So instead he stared listlessly at the ceiling; imagined the new phone he would get; imagined punching Skulker in the face (did it look like his now, underneath the suit?) for breaking his phone; imagined all the new comebacks he could make while punching Skulker in the face for breaking his phone; thought about the hundreds of students and teachers above him who were walking around with his Face.
It couldn’t be real. It couldn’t.
Right?
~
After what he deemed to be a safe amount of time, Danny reemerged from the basement as a real live boy. He joined the stream of students heading for the cafeteria, since it was lunchtime now, and once there looked around for his friends.
Which is when he noticed people peeling their Faces off.
He jumped a few feet in the air—literally; he hoped no one saw—blinked, shook his head, looked again.
One by one, people’s faces were emerging. Like a skin of paper, the Face came away from their heads and was discarded in the nearest trash bin, or crumpled up and stuffed in pockets, or left to languish on the floor by a foolish few. The faces underneath The Face had expressions—real expressions, he hadn’t realized how much he missed seeing them. A lot of them looked relieved, or they were laughing, or annoyed. Real faces.
Thinking about this made him want to see Sam and Tucker’s faces, so he looked around for them again and saw them, sitting at a table together, grinning. He himself was too confused to grin, so instead he made his way over to the table without doing that.
“Hey,” he said, and they pointed their grins at him. What wonderful grins they were. “What’s going on? It… was a prank, right?”
“Oh, yeah,” said Tucker, grin becoming pointier. “It’s the Dannypocalypse.”
“The what.” Danny’s voice was as flat as the expression on The Face, mainly because he just didn’t have the energy for this right now. He took a seat next to Tucker and reached over to steal one of Sam’s fries.
“The Dannypocalypse,” Sam repeated, grin also becoming pointier. “In honor of Danny Phantom, we all wore paper masks of his face. Something weird happened with the printer, so his eyes came out blue instead of green.”
“Oh.” Danny looked into Sam’s maniacal face and felt his alive half become slightly more dead. “You… this was you, wasn’t it.”
Sam’s grin reached full pointiness.
Danny stayed silent for a few seconds, before an almost hysterical giggle wormed its way out of his mouth. “You know April Fools was two days ago, right?”
“I underestimated how much time it would take to make the masks. That’s fine, though, no one expects pranks in the days after April Fools. That just made it better.”
Danny had so many questions. Too many questions. But the most pressing, of course—“How did you get everyone in on this? I know lots of people would be willing to wear Danny Phantom’s face, but Lancer?”
Sam shrugged. “Money.”
“And what about Vlad? He doesn’t need bribes.” Danny tried to steal another of Sam’s fries, but she slapped his hand away.
“Get your own. And I won’t go into details on this one, but let’s just say blood was spilled. And it wasn’t mine.”
“…Right.” Danny considered going in for another fry, but maybe it wasn’t worth it. “And you didn’t worry that, uh…” He checked around to make sure no one was listening and lowered his voice. “You didn’t worry that someone might notice I have the same face as Phantom?”
Sam shrugged again. “Oh, come on, Danny. Everyone knows Wes Weston is Danny Phantom.”
Danny stared at her, completely blank for a few seconds, before he gave in and burst out laughing. “This… okay. This is hilarious.”
“You bet it is.” Sam slapped a hand on the table, and with it, a paper mask displaying Danny’s terrible, haunting visage. “I’m going to hang this on my wall. What do you think? Should it have a fancy golden frame?”
“Absolutely.”
As more faces peeled off around them, Danny and his friends laughed. Somewhere, Vlad was planning his revenge; somewhere, Wes Weston was tearing his hair out and probably also planning revenge; but for now, all was well in the world.
(“By the way, how could anyone see? I didn’t see eyeholes on the masks?”
“Don’t ask stupid questions, Danny.”)

I'm really amazed by your Pop work! I have no idea how you get it done and what the process is, but the little customizations are so creative and the characters always look great, I'm just astounded 🎉🎉🎉🎉 (And they seem to come out rather quickly) Thank you for sharing with the phandom these art pieces 😊😊😊
Hi @soyrabbit thank you so much! I love pops since 2012 when I bought my first one (Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory). Then one day in 2016 I found a random photo of a Phantom pop and after some digging I realized it was a custom pop made by a Filipino artist. I immediately comissioned one.
Tumblr media
But custom pops are expensive and on top of that, there was shipping from the Philippines to Brazil. And I wanted many more, all those that Funko will probably never make. So I googled it and found some videos on YouTube of pops customizations and I thought that maybe I could do it. I made my first custom pop in August 2017 and never stopped making them. At the time, my dad was at the hospital a lot and customizing was a great way to just forget and not think. So it became a hobby.
I use official Funko pop parts for my customs. I search for the ones that resemble what I want, boil and dismantle them. Then I make the necessary ajustments like repositioning, cutting, sanding and sculpting (I use Sculpey clay). I reassemble them using parts from different pops, for example, my most simple Phantom pops are made from at least three different pops, one for the head, one for the body and a different one for the arms. The recent Christines I made wearing the lost dresses also have parts from 3 different pops. For a few of them I was able to use the body and arms from the same pop and the head of another. But some have parts from up to 5 pops.
Here is the Christine pops during sculpting (no head and arms).
Tumblr media
After assempling, I repaint them. Sometimes I repaint before assembling and then just retouch them if needed. The reassembling involves securing the parts internally with wire and super glueing. Then the custom is sealed to protect the new paint.
My pops are Frankesteins, which is not the best way to make them if you want to sell because they will be expensive (the price of each pop I’ll need plus materials + time involved). Some really good customizers will do what you want with one or two pops max. As I don’t sell mine, as long as I can pay for the parts I need, I’m ok with that.
Since I’m making them for three years now, I have plastic bins of heads, bodies, arms, etc, so sometimes I’m able to make a custom very quickly.
Also for my Phantom, I made silicone molds of his mask and from time to time, I cast lots of masks so I’ll have them available when I need them. Sculpting the first mask took more than 1 month.
I can make a basic Phantom pop in an afternoon now. But some require more work. I’ve one in progress which already took me 3 weeks and it’s not ready yet. Many times I have to come by with solutions and new materials to achieve what I have in mind and it not always works the way I want and I have to start all over again.
Well, that’s it, hope my explanation was not too confusing.

I finally got a decent-ish night’s sleep but man the dream I had… lol
I discovered that Dan had been in a movie, which somehow escaped the attention of the phandom (…lol) because he’d made it for the Open University (which used to show all its programming at like 2am on TV; I expect it’s all online nowadays). And Phil was also in it, and a famous Asian actress whose name I couldn’t place, and a few other actors I knew (Su Pollard, Bill Nighy) and I think Jeremy Clarkson?? wtf
Anyway I don’t remember the movie but I do remember that at the end all of the characters kissed their same-sex counterparts except Phil’s, lol. And Phil played 2 characters - one of them was a girl and he was hardly recognisable in the role, I didn’t realise it was him until I watched the credits at the end. Dan’s new logo was at the end of the credits
At the same time as this, my boss was frantically trying to get me to sign something. Then we went to a big work assembly about covid, and got tested. I used some woman’s tablet to sign the documents; she was angry about the tests. With the docs signed, I was about to post to tumblr about the movie, then I woke up. And lay there thinking oh :( but also that it had been nice to actually see Dan, even if it was only in my mind.
(At some point I also had to load luggage onto a belt; my keychains on my suitcase were all fandom memorabilia, including D & P scrabble tiles from a game they’d played as well as a bunch of other things, and I was trying to get all the keychains off before the bags were moved away; I only managed to get the tiles.)

Yes, this is the same picture from the last meetup I did, but I look like an actual trash can rn and I don’t have the time to assemble all my rainbow gear >.<. So hello, I’m Morgan, and my identity is complicated af. I’m a lesbian, but my relationship with gender is wack, so I usually go by nonbinary, but some other gender might fit me just as well. I’m out as a lesbian, but not as nonbinary so that’s a fun time.
Being in the phandom has led me to many of the friends I have now, and it’s given me so much. Interactive Introverts was the first time I saw so many queer people like me in one place, and it was an experience I don’t think I’ll ever forget. This community helped me so much when I first realized I wasn’t straight. I had no queer friends, and seeing so many queer people united under a common interest gave me so much hope. “Hey, Phil?” Dan asked his flatmate, who was, at the time, digging so deep in their pantry that he might fall in. Phil jumped at the voice, smacking his head on a shelf and letting out a little yell of surprise. “Ow,” he mumbled and rubbed his head. Dan gave him a weird look. “Are you okay? You’ve been really jumpy all morning.” “Wh-what? Haha, I’m fine, you know, just great!” Phil wouldn’t look Dan in the eye. “I really don’t believe you, but I won’t push it. You know you can talk to me about whatever it is, right?” “Of course, but really, Dan, I’m okay. Just looking for those marshmallows, haha.” Still with his strange expression on his face, Dan stepped closer to Phil, faces only inches apart, and reached around him to the counter next to their pantry. Phil nervously backed himself into the cupboard as Dan invaded his personal space. “You mean, these marshmallows?” He pulled the bag forward and showed them to Phil. “Because I put these on the counter earlier when we put groceries away, you even told me to leave them out.” “Oh, uh, haha, yeah. Guess I forgot,” Phil stuttered. “You’re sure you’re okay?” “Perfectly fine, thanks.” “Right...” Dan gave Phil a suspicious side-eye. “Well, I came in here to tell you I’m editing that gaming video and I’ll be in the office if you need me.” “Yeah, sure.” Phil opened the bag of marshmallows and popped one into his mouth without looking at Dan. Sending one last weird look at Phil, Dan left the room and headed to the office. Phil released a breath and quickly put the marshmallows back on the counter before digging in the pantry again. “C’mon, c’mon, where is it?” Phil muttered to himself. It was the day before Valentine’s Day and he had big plans. For years now, he had been waiting for the right opportunity to confess his feelings for Dan, but he kept chickening out. There had been fancy dinners, movies, casual nights in, and he could never bring himself to actually do it. He knew for certain that Dan felt the same about him, though. It was obvious in how Dan looked at him, especially if you ask the fans. Plus, he might have accidentally heard Dan talk about him on the phone to Louise (sue him for listening in when he heard his name). Phil had an elaborate plan this time, though. He was going all-out for Valentine’s Day because he knew how much of a sap Dan was. Dan was the kind of person to cry at romcoms and had had his wedding colors picked since he was a kid (not that they were all that shocking; black had always been his favorite). Of course, Dan also thought Valentine’s Day was just a capitalist scam and that affection should be shown to significant others at all times, but Phil needed the day as a push. He knew this would be brilliant. If I could only find the- ah-ha! Perfect, he thought to himself. On to the execution of the plan... All day, Phil decorated the lounge and prepared his surprise, since he knew Dan would be too busy editing to come in. He moved furniture around, hung Valentine’s decorations, and dragged some extra goodies from his room. Finally, at 11pm, he was done. He surveyed the room, admiring his hard work. For someone as clumsy as Phil, it didn’t look half bad. Besides, Dan was all about gestures, so a slightly sloppy decorating job wouldn’t be the end of the world. ~~~~~~~~~ The next day, Dan woke up to the heavenly scent of pancakes wafting into his room. He breathed in deeply through his nose and let it out in a sigh. What a perfect way to wake up after a long day of editing, he thought. The video had to have a lot cut out of it because they had messed up a lot of takes and it took forever to get past that one part of the level. He still shuddered to think of it. The sound of Phil humming pulled him out of his thoughts, reminding him that breakfast was waiting. Dan smiled and got out of bed. “What’s all this, then?” asked Dan as he entered the kitchen. Phil jumped a little at the voice and spun to look at the door. “Oh, good morning! I just felt like having a nice breakfast today. I’m just about done.” “It smells really good, for once.” “Hey, now! I’m a perfectly alright cook when it comes to pancakes!” “Of course, Phil, which is why they were charred black crackers last time you made them,” Dan teased. “I thought we agreed to never speak of that again, traitor.” Phil scowled as Dan raised his hands in defense. “I never agreed to anything, thanks.” “Whatever.” Phil took the last few pancakes and put them on the large plate he had already assembled. “Shall we?” Dan nodded and followed Phil into the lounge, ready to watch anime and eat the pancakes, but Phil stopped at the door. “Phil? You okay?” Turning slowly to face Dan, Phil took a deep breath in. He couldn’t bring himself to meet Dan’s eyes. “I just- well- sorry if it’s a bit much, I got a bit excited, maybe.” “If what’s a bit much? The pancakes? We both love pancakes. Why would that be much?” “It’s not the pancakes, Dan, it’s- well, you’ll see. Just- yeah, you’ll see. I’m kind of nervous about it, though.” Dan gave Phil a worried glance. “You’ve been acting weird since yesterday. Have you been that worried about whatever it is?” Phil nodded sheepishly, still not making eye contact. “Let’s go in, yeah? Putting it off longer won’t make it any easier on my nerves.” Dan watched Phil for a few seconds in silence, scanning his face for answers. He looked worried and tense, which was not the kind of face Dan liked to see on Phil. “If you’re sure...” Phil nodded again and turned back to the door. “Again, I’m sorry if it’s a bit much,” he said as he entered the lounge. Dan walked in behind him, still worried about Phil, before taking in what he meant and gasping. Phil had turned the lounge into a truly magical Valentine’s Day room. The walls were covered in hearts and pastel pink decorations, all their usual blankets had been replaced by pink and red ones, and Phil had built a blanket fort in front of the television. Several candles were lit around the edges of the room. Upon further inspection, the blanket fort featured hot chocolate and all the tableware they would need for their pancakes, as well as a giant stuffed bear and a vase of a dozen red roses. “Well?” Dan’s eyes snapped back to Phil, who had set down the pancakes in the blanket fort and was now standing in front of him, sending him a few anxious glances, clearly expecting a response. “I- uh,” Dan stuttered intelligently. “It’s okay if you don’t like it, I just thought it’d be kind of nice for the holiday and everything. I know it’s stupid, and I know you think Valentine’s Day is all a scam-“ “No!” Phil stopped his rambling at Dan’s outburst. “... I’m sorry?” “Shit, sorry, I’m the worst. I love it. It’s cheesy as hell but it’s adorable and I love it.” That made Phil pause. He still looked a bit unsure, head hanging as he stared at the floor. “Really, Phil. I mean it.” Dan gently lifted Phil’s chin with a finger so their eyes would meet. “I have something to tell you,” Phil said. He still looked nervous, which made Dan’s heart ache. “I think I already know what it is,” Dan whispered. They were so close to each other that Dan could feel Phil’s breath on his lips. He leaned in, and the world sort of shimmered as it faded away into the kiss. It was gentle and loving; Phil took one of Dan’s hands, the other still on Phil’s chin. Their first kiss only lasted a few seconds before they broke apart, resting their foreheads against each other. “I love you,” whispered Phil, eyes still closed. Dan kissed him again, although it was much sloppier than the last because he couldn’t stop smiling. “I love you, too,” Dan whispered back between kisses. Phil giggled into Dan’s mouth. “Our pancakes are getting cold.” Groaning, Dan pulled away. “If I weren’t hungry, I would have such a hard time choosing between food and kissing you.” Phil tried to hide his prominent blush, but failed miserably. “There’ll be plenty of time for that later, but food first!” Dan grinned, then pecked Phil on the cheek. “I love making you blush.” Phil ignored him in favor of sitting down in the blanket fort. “Are you coming or will I have to eat all these pancakes myself?” Dan laughed his loud hyena laugh and joined Phil on the floor. “No way am I missing out on these pancakes.” “These are all for you, by the way,” Phil said after a few moments of comfortable silence. He gestured to the roses, bear, and hot chocolate. “I know it’s overkill, but I had to. It just didn’t feel right otherwise.” “It is overkill, but it’s so sweet that I can’t bring myself to care. Although, heart-shaped pancakes? Really?” Dan teased. “Hey, you should be proud! I worked really hard on those and they actually look like hearts.” “Right, Phil. Because they were completely necessary.” Phil quickly leaned in and kissed Dan, who let out a startled noise before melting into it. “I should have done this years ago if it meant I could shut you up that easily.” “Oh, fuck off!”
