Rewatched the s7ep5 today and I have some thoughts.

I think I will think about the choice to have Shane as a ghost for a long time.

On the surface it's fine. They can communicate with him and they even get the information about the culprit. It's much more than they get in their ghost hunting show.

When you get deeper into it though, the way ghost!EPM Shane speaks is a bit diffefent than their usual banter. It's more like a broken record if you will. All the greatest hits of "I believe you believe" and "ghosts aren't real". As if he wanted to get it over with. It's a bit of a carricature even aside from the Shane character being itself cartoonish version of real Shane. And it is a bit jarring but it's supposed to be. He's a ghost. We get more than usual but the character is still transparent and only there for some time. He could leave at any moment if his anecdote about the running into others in a grocery store is to be believed. He's also a bit not there when they talk about how to get rid of the culprit.

I just think it's a great choice especially because it's the "big guy" - Rysn's nickname that makes him appear. Not the name not the scripted phrase of "who killed you like a dog". But a geniune want to annoy/prove Ryan wrong one last time because indeed. Shane wouldn't care about solving things but he wanted to prove to Ryan that ghosts aren't real and that's what broke the bit of ignoring him if he ever reached out.

Also a very little detail but the professor saying that there's a lot of space here and Ryan saying "yeah he was pretty tall". The whole boonker being designed for Shane and Ryan ghost hunting and Ryan probably not ever planning on having another cohost. But the professor being everything that Shane isn't - small not reaching the table etc. That's such a strong visual and I love it.

Pearl and Jack’s shared section has the captions Liar, worked hard on their presentation, song writers, first love on a sky-high pedestal, teal. Emet and Salem’s shared section has the captions had kids, red and black, darkness, fucked up moon, sorcerer/sorceress of eld, hate light-based deity, my kind of human is better than yours, why do you(my ex) keep coming back. Salem and Jack’s shared section has the captions used to be human, not allowed to die, traumatized children, fairy tale symbolisms, blonds, reason for main character’s mom disappearing/dying, wants to end the world and themselves with it. Salem, Pearl and Emet’s shared section has the captions wont die when killed and old AF. The Emet-Salem-Jack section has antagonists while the Pearl-Jack-Emet one has theater. I'll never be able to stop thinking about how fucking horrifying the whole Baskerville situation is for the Glens.

Like, there's this one panel with baby Gil smiling at baby Vincent because he just got the golden lights and now he knows there's a place for them, but he doesn't know it's not for them, it's just for him.

So he takes his little brother to what would have been his execution grounds.

And it was probably the exact same way for Oswald and Lacie. Two siblings who loved each other, who had only each other to rely on, and when they finally find a place that will accept them it's under the condition that "Glen" kills "the Child of Misfortune". And they can't even refuse.

Even when they're not related, when it's just a stranger, how could they stand knowing there's someone being raised alongside them just so they can execute them one day? How did they not snap?

(Though I guess one of them might have, since one of the Juries talked about a story that "ended with the previous Glen". Good for them.)

Le nouvel op de Pokemon Horizons, Clairement c'est un glow up rien qu'avec les visuels aussi, il y a des moments où ça me fait penser à l'op souvenir de sxf en terme de composition. Au debut je pensais que c'était Aimer la chanteuse mais non c'est Yama.
