Soooo let's get to the root of that! (At least, the root of my end of things)

So this is what I could chart of my side of the family tree, not even fully going into the relationships that others' OC has since this is already a plate of spaghetti but I digress

So chart #2, what is Essences?

You may or may not have seen this float around a few times because I can't stop giving it updates, but this is more or less how I handle the elemental and "magical" (not always magic though) aspects of our shared lore, kinda meant to be interpreted as however. And just like this system is influenced by others, Aeryan is influenced by the ever-shifting nature of Essences. They exist because elements and energy exists and needs to be stabilized and categorized and made sense of. Kind of a squishball. Not even powerful and often not worth the time to deal with. Which gives them perfect opportunities to change reality a bit, try to stabilize the glitches in existence due to Lilia's shattering.

Hence, the Model, Mirror, and Betwixt realms.

Now Model and Mirror had existed in Lilia's time, but since Lilia was a Model Realm deity (last that was established, that is), and Mirror, as the name implies, mirrors, reality was trying to collapse because it couldn't keep up with the changes, so Aeryan tried to "fix" things and discarded and unused stuff went into the newly created Betwixt realm. Hence a lot of kids (2 per realm to keep that noice 3/6 theming that Lilia has), and some abyssal scars on their body since they had to fake their death in the Mirror realm, hence why Rocey shares the title.

Now, Aeryan doesn't know WHO shattered Lilia, but right now common suspicion is towards @hikaririnku-blog 's Hanson-Un

Sure! Just get me started on some specific concept or aspect. I have a lot of little ideas but no 'central' way that I unite them all

I'm gonna share my little self-indulgent headcanon about this, though. I made a bit of an OC out of the blog title (since I picked it at random), his name is actually Bonefall and he helps translate Clan stories into human language. His human partner, Dr. Hunter, is an anthropologist investigating clan society.

What should I call the conlang? Clannish? Clanmew? clanyru like cymru

Oh! I'll start with pronouns!

Pronouns, Inclusion, and Patrols

Pronouns in clan language are NOT gendered; others are referred to in varying levels of closeness or threat. Clan language has special modifiers for different types of 'we' that rest on a singular pronoun.

(Clanmate) He patrolled = "Urr pabpab" (Other Clan) He patrolled = "Rarr pabpab" (Clanmate) We patrolled = "Urri pabpab" (Clanmate) They patrolled (without me) = "Urrk pabpab" (Clanmate) You patrolled (without me) = "Urrsk pabpab"

There is no self-referential pronoun. There is no 'I/me/myself' in Clannish-- only "Mine," added as a possessive modifier at the end of a person, place, or thing. Cats in general have a very self-centered language; when you aren't using a pronoun, by default, you are stating something about yourself.

I patrolled = "pabpab" I patrolled my territory = "pabpab upanna wraah" Clanmate patrolled my territory = "urr pabpab upanna wraah"

They're my Clanmate = "Urr wraah" My clanmate patrolled = "Urr wraah pabpab"

Lionblaze: "Well who's going to go on patrol?" Hollyleaf: "YOU will, mousebrain!"

Translation:

Lionblaze: "Pff, yarr ya pabpa?" (lit: Well, who will patrolling?) Hollyleaf: "Weeswoo!" (You-mousebrain)

Threat Level/Pronoun List

This doesn't necessarily mean 'danger,' so much as the level of caution you would approach the given thing with. It's a sign of submission, even cowardice, to use dangerous pronouns for non-threatening things.

Format: (Their/You)

Wi/Wees The softest, weakest possible way to refer to a person... used exclusively for babies, and prey. "Mousebrain" is either Wiwoo (them-mousemind) or Weeswoo (you-mousemind).

Nya/Nyams This is family and closeness, moreso than a Clanmate or a trusted ally. If Hollyleaf hadn't been playful earlier, she would have simply responded "nyams."

Pyrr/Pyrrs For apprentices, medicine cats, elders, exhausted warriors, and other non-combatants, but also for friends. It's a neutral-weak pronoun-- it can be sympathetic or patronizing in the wrong situation, but at most it would be over-familiar if used incorrectly. This is also used on useful objects, like nests, herbs, Jayfeather's stick, etc.

Urr/Urrs A capable clanmate, carries an implication that they are able to hunt or fight at the described moment. The term carries endearment-- the old RiverClan river was referred to with Urrs, for respect. Strong, worthy prey is in this category (RiverClan refers to a lot of big fish with urrs)

Rarr/Rarrs Now we're in the 'outsider' category. These are not used on clanmates without insult. Used for things that require extra caution, or aren't trusted. A lot of twoleg things like fences and bridges are 'rarr'. The cats who live in the barn and other loners are 'rarr'. Warriors in other clans are 'rarr.'

Mwrr/Mwrrs Something dishonorable, that lives without code. Rogues are tossed into this category before proven otherwise, same with snakes, foxes, badgers, and dogs.

Ssar/Ssas Something powerful and dangerous. Storms, floods, cars. Overwhelming and unpredictable-- can be a high compliment to the respected warrior of other clans, implies the same sort of respect you would give to a natural disaster, but if used too much it could show cowardice.

@cinebration Wicked Creature (Alfie Solomons x Reader) The fic that got me to watch 6 seasons of a show I never intended to watch. The subtlety, the tension, the yearning. And writing a Tom Hardy character is not an easy challenge but the mission was definitely accomplished here.

@thefact0rygirl "Hold me" (Boba Fett x Reader) Vee is talented, kind, smart, funny and just simply the best. My trusty Boba fic provider. This can't be anything but a biased choice because all her fics are equally amazing but I love this one the best for obvious reasons.

@youvebeenlivingfictional The Logical Progression (Nathan Bateman x Reader) Dany, the evil siren, can do no wrong. I think this was the first Nathan fic I've read and by the time I was done my jaw dropped to the floor. This was so in character yet added so much to him that it's just incredible and I was so excited to read the Epilogue too.

@massivecolorspygiant The Bish/Brat story (Bishop Losa x Brat) Mags has a complete masterlist of awesomeness but I seriously can't express how much I love these little gems that you sometimes have to look for in the tags too. It's a wild ride. :(And I might be re-reading these instead of watching season 4)

@pillow-titties In the Morning (Billy Russo x Reader) I'm simple, I see Billy Russo and I click. This is cute Billy, drunk Billy, loving Billy... So what's not to like?

@anetteaneta The Letter (Poe Dameron x Reader) It's an impossible task to choose just one fic but I'm a sucker for heartbreaking angst but it's even better with a happy ending.

@dailyreverie Chill (Santiago Garcia x Reader) Again, a little biased but blushing Santi is just something special.

@princessxkenobi Delicate hints (Will Miller x Reader) The Poet. I'm in awe every time at realising how beautiful writing can be. This is one of the less poetic fics of A but it has that same 'smoothness' as the rest. When I read these fics it's like... being caressed by the water at the seaside, it is an unreasonably calming and lulling experience.

@the-anonymous-pen Prospecta (Bishop Losa x Reader) So, this is an ongoing project but I LOVE the concept and what I've read so far. *insert excited squeal* I can't wait to read more.

My favourite fics: (pff, I don't think there is a fic that I wouldn't rewrite so I'm going with what little I can remember by the titles. the exorcism of haunting ideas by writing fics is not a helpful thing in this case. anyway...)

You are beautiful (Boba Fett x Reader) I think this was the first time that I just went with a concept with an idea of where it's going to lead. I also wanted to write something with no smut and it turned out to be a tiny bit angsty and a fluffy af.

Foreplay (Alfie Solomons x Reader) Another first. The first time I added an OC. The first time I tried to capture a character without imagining what they would say because Alfie is difficult if not impossible to mimic. I think this turned out to be okay, considering the aim.

Joy (Poe Dameron x Reader) This list is full of firsts, I guess. The first time I really ventured into the pregnancy plot. I was afraid I couldn't do this because the idea just freaks me out but I found it surprisingly easy to turn the uncomfortable moments into a joke. So there's that.

Bribing (Raymond Smith x half Asian!Reader) Ray is almost as much of a challenge to write as Alfie and I had my doubts about going into a banter with a character like that but I'm quite satisfied with the result.

Lost you (Darkling x Sun Summoner!Reader) This is where I started to build a fic around a scene. It's literally in the middle of the fic so the before and the after came together bit by bit. The 'after' part is where I tried to explore how an immortal being would view things and I'm not quite satisfied with what I could do here but it was not disappointing either, whatever that means.

Dating the Darkling / Billy Russo / Logan Delos / Caspian / +Sirius Black My first headcanon, multicharacter post. I really enjoyed doing something else than oneshots. It was interesting to think through one concept for different characters.

Devoured by the Dark (Darkling x soulmate!Reader) I'm really intrigued by the Darkling but I cannot help the thought that we are missing out a lot by showing this deliciously twisted character in the usual YA format. So I went a little dark here and it was fun.

Keep fighting (Billy Russo x Reader) The one where I abandoned plot altogether and created pure filth.

Seriously? (Billy Russo x Reader) I think this is where I almost made myself cry. I wanted to write the "before the Punisher Billy". When he could have made different choices, could have been an entirely different person for someone. It hit me hard that the obsessive need to be loved could only be satisfied by a deep connection. So I went deeper and deeper into the concept and this happened.

priest!Aleksander (Darkling x Reader) I'd describe this experience as being triggered. Seriously, I saw that moldboard and boom, I had to write these unhinged headcanons. This was new.

This is me re-uploading my blog from my own website to show more people how to live with a functional neurological disorder. Blog post from September 6  2018

This week a blog about the hero that I met already 5 years ago. I know this is a blog that is going to sound real cheesy. But let me tell you this, if you find a man that is staying with you through hard times like I’ve experienced the past 5 year. Then I think you’re allowed to write a cheesy blog. Because my man deserves the title of hero for sure!

You all know that my life changed a lot the past few years. But unfortunately it was not only my life that was affected by my paralyzed body. My boyfriend Dennis his life changed a lot as well. From working 40 hours a week and after that going on crazy adventures with your girlfriend. After working 40 hours and coming home, he had  to do the household, had to help his girlfriend with eating, showering, putting clothes on, brushing her hair and helping her to go to the bathroom. He had to help me with everything. And not only that, but also all the sleepless nights of screaming of pain. Not one day he said pff, or “I can’t do it anymore”. No, he only was searching for solutions to make my life easier. From cooking food a week in advance, to putting a bottle with water next to the bed that I was able to drink. Because sometimes I had to lay in bed 24/7.

He was always there for me. Skipped soccer practices to help me. Nothing was a problem for him. The number of times I send him away to find a new adventurous girl was crazy. But every time I said it, he was the sweetest. He always told me that I was still the same girl. And the adventures would come along on our way.

I can name so many more examples why he is my hero. And how proud and happy I am that he is still with me.

Babe, we’ve already survive the hardest years of our life together. We are now planning to go on a first new adventure in the snow at the end of this year. Dennis, I wanna thank you for always staying positive and always finding solutions. I love you. Up to the next years together.

12. What are your 5 favorite songs right now?

augh picking favorites is hard!  Doesn’t help that I’m really bad at remembering titles to songs??  Sure didn’t do me any favors in music history & theory classes, heh!  Gonna ramble cause I’m not sure I can answer this question straight up:

Hmmm not really anything in particular I’ve been listening to right now, mostly random classical music that’s on the radio when I’m in the car, or when I’m doing stuff on the computer I’ll put on some assorted classical music on youtube, or soundtracks.  Have really enjoyed the like two pieces done by Mongolian band “The Hu”, which is surprising given its not one of my usual genres!

I have CDs I’ll usually reserve for longer car trips (that take me out of radio range of my usual stations), again mostly classical or soundtracks (esp LotR), but also some classic rock (if that’s what it’s called?  60s-80s I think? basically stuff I picked up from my parents).  A lot of the CDs aren’t in great shape though, probably need to make new ones at some point?

I’m also weirdly bad at picking up lyrics?  The only songs I’ve actually fully memorized the lyrics to (aaages ago mostly) are:  everything from “Dr Horrible’s Sing Along Blog”, Sound of Silence, The Winner Takes it All, and The Moon Rises.  Might be a bit rusty in some cases, infinitely easier to do it along with the music than without.  Probably could sing along with other songs , esp. disney songs, better than I think I can too.

24. Favorite part of your daily routine?

Wouldn’t have much of a routine if it weren’t for school, - and now work!  Weirdly don’t like having plans when it comes to doing things on my own, but once other people are involved I need to know what’s going on.  

Actually been somewhat enjoying the structure that my new weekday job brings, much preferable to the uncertainty of previous jobs (which did have schedules, but they didn’t mean much as I could easily be asked to not come in if things were slow or asked in constantly on my days off)  The constant looming threat of work made it impossible to plan anything else.

Definitely treasure getting home and getting on the computer to play games and check the tumblr.

148. What’s your favourite quote?

Aaaa I’m sure there’s a number, but it’s really hard to come up with in the moment?  There’s not any I like, live by.  Do I pick something from a book?  Movie?  Historical figure?  Something philosophical?  Funny??

I could probably spend way too much time and dig up a number of quotes, but I’ll just stick to this passage from Lord of the Rings where I genuinely had some hope for gollum the first time I read the books: (pff once again not really sticking to the letter of the question, this is more of a passage than a ‘quote’)

What was the first song you ever heard by 6?

Salome Malone - I was about 9 or 10 and my dad had bought a new sound system. He played the Marcus Koenig remix and explained what ‘sartorial’ meant. I really like JCC’s voice, the Salford accent reminds me of a kind of home. 

What is your favourite song of 8?

Cliché as all hell, but 4st 7lb. Got me through some painful teenage years and I revisit it sometimes if stuff’s not going well; it serves as a reminder as to how far people can come in recovery, ya know? (I’ve been trying to learn the lead guitar part for maybe four years and I can’t)

What kind of impact has 1 left on your life?

AFI have been my favourite band for over a decade now. I’ve got one of their album covers tattooed, and I still listen to them pretty much every day. I saw them live last year, and met them after the gig; one of the best nights of my life. I explained the harmonic series to my favourite vocalist and he said, ‘oh, that? I call those the high lines’. Overtones. He meant overtones. Tbh I’m not sure I’d be doing a music degree if I hadn’t found AFI, my earliest audio transcription was Prelude 12/21. I bored my family senseless practising it for months!

What are your favourite lyrics of 5?

ALL OF THEM. Seriously. Ashenspire’s lyrics are just breathtaking. I may be slightly biased BUT my attention prior to the analysis/gig I performed in/dating of the main dood, so to speak, was held primarily by the lyrics and rhythms. I think the words to Grievous Bodily Harmonies are my favourite, the entire set of song lyrics; they elicit a strong response, and create such a vivid mental picture for me. I know the more popular ‘I’ll believe it, I’ll let it grow like plaque - when my head zips up at the back’ from Speak Not Of The Laudanum Quandary, the title track of the first album, is a strong contender, and I’m a big big fan of it, but for me, ‘a chloroform rag, over cold-sore lips; deathly thin, and typhus skin. A smog to smother her, the unwanted daughter.’ is just....pff. I’m waffling about this one, but sitting down with the composer and unearthing the thoughts and hidden meanings of the lyrics, consolidated that the words are just as awe-inspiring now as they were on the first listen. 

How many times have you seen 4 live?

Just the once! At the Ritz in Manchester, with Josh, after we queued for 8 hours to be right at the front. Both Ninja and Yolandi took their clothes off and crowd surfed, it was wonderful. Kinda wish DJ Hi-Tek had too.

What is your favorite song by 7?

I think Underground. It was the first one I didn’t automatically like, but it’s grown on me a lot over the years. I don’t play her stuff that often because I have different memories with different people for each song, but I’ve revisited the album Remember That I Love You recently, and I’m enjoying it! A lot of them make me think of Liz because our friendship was coined surrounding her music. I’m gonna go play Underground in my break today, got me thinking about the third verse (good one)

Is there any song by 3 that makes you sad?

Yeah quite a lot of them tbh!! Poison and Wine, Falling, and Marionette spring to mind, the first two for the lyrics, and the last due to the simple yet sorrowful chord progression that spans the whole demo. Their whole dynamic is/was pretty sad, which isn’t always a bad thing, but I get kinda low if I listen to them too much. 

What is your favourite song by 9?

Definitely Seaweed. Beautiful, murky harmonies, genuine and earnest lyrics. Mount Eerie is a harrowing musical project and this song is no different. The addition of the piano in the final verse almost makes me tear up; the bitonality is so effective and evokes a strange kind of pain.

When did you first get into 2?

I got into SPG in my first year of music school! Some singer introduced them to me in the common room, and I instantly loved the aesthetic, tonalities, lyrics, content etc, they’re really really good

How did you get into 10?

Actually through Tumblr! I was following her blog for a while and eventually clicked on her BandCamp and was captivated by the high, plaintive soprano lines with the sparse, static guitar. She released the Natural Born Losers album like two years after I found her stuff and it was so different musically to her first couple albums and there’s a place for all of it in my eccentric collection

The Filth in my Bones

this is a summary fic, and the basic rundown is that Merlin is feeling a sense of guilt from the things he has done--whether good or not, it all takes it's toll on a person.

The fic follows Arthur comforting Merlin and reassuring him that it's unrealistic to hold himself to such high standards when he doesn't hold others to those same standards, and that no man is strictly good or bad. Helps him deal with the guilt and worries.

A forgotten art

a snippet:

"There is a forgotten art," Merlin murmured, laying back against the damp grass beside Arthur.

He stared at the dark, clouded night sky with tired eyes. "A beautiful art... Lost to history—to the genocide of a whole people..."

For those that perhaps haven’t caught on, these training camp articles are meant to be informative but also satirical. Both the good and bad are meant to represent the worst in NFL fans. They are real events that took place but isn’t in any way my evaluation. Now on with the show…

If Thursday’s indoor training session is any indication, the Packers are going to be a tough team to beat at night, which is good news considering the Packers are only playing 8 noon games and 5 late games. Stupid Vikings only get 4. Such losers.

The Horrible

I know you think I’m here to be a downer. That’s false. The person that loves you the most is the one that tells you the most truth. I just don’t want you to have false hope. It’s going to be a bad year. Allow me to elaborate.

Kevin King was a bad choice. There were 7,000 great corners in this draft. We got a bad one. First he went and got hurt. Then, he comes back and gets embarrassed. Like real bad embarrassed. Joe Whitt told Rodgers to throw at Kevin King and throw he did. Rodgers hit Nelson three times in a row ending in a TD. Later on, a play in which Rodgers overthrew Cobb, it was noted that King was “several steps behind.” This is the same Randall Cobb that has decided he wants to be full time return man and has had almost 0 impact in training camp.

I know what you’re thinking. C’mon Ryan, it’s Rodgers and Jordy. Cut him some slack. I hear ya. I do. Let me just list a few receivers the Packers are going to run into this year real quick. Doug Baldwin, Julio Jones, A.J. Green, Dez Bryant, Michael Thomas, Antonio Brown, and Mike Evans.

Of that list, Jordy Nelson was listed by PFF as being better than exactly none of them. All of those listed were ranked in the top 20, and every single one of the top 5 receivers will be lined up across from Kevin King this year.

Ask me how much I care that he was matched up against Jordy!

A couple other corner notes, cause those are just oh so fun. Pipkins got yelled at for not understanding how to play zone, and Hawkins was said to have “looked totally lost”.

As a final note, Montgomery still can’t block to save his life. For those who are wondering, no, Montgomery can’t be a 3 down back if he can’t block for Rodgers. Furthermore, the Packers like to play up tempo. Playing up tempo requires players be 3 down players. As of now, the Packers have none that can do it, with the exception of possibly Jamaal Williams.

The Amazing

Lots of good came out of the Packers first indoor practice and first late practice. The first of which came from the amazing new punter for the Green and Gold, Mr. Voguel. Vogel actually smacked the ball so hard he hit the roof. Cause he can!

The wide receivers continue to impress, especially Jeff Janis. First of all, get it out of your head that Janis is going anywhere. His ability on special teams has solidified his spot on the roster. With that said, McCarthy went out of his way to praise Janis and Janis reciprocated by making two impressive catches. One being a one handed TD grab, the other on a fly ball up the sideline. Janis being one of the biggest and fastest receivers on the team (as big as Jordy, as fast as Davis… I feel like no one realizes this) was able to haul in the ball for a huge gain.

Some other receiver highlights, Michael Clark made a freakish leaping catch over Gunter, Davis made a great catch on a pass that should have never been caught, and the better McCaffrey brother is in a fierce competition for the “next great receiver in Green Bay” title. Apparently McCaffrey is ahead by a mile in completion totals in training camp. That’s saying a lot for a guy that isn’t running with the starters.

Running back Aaron Jones turned some heads with his physical style and ability to rip off some big gains. I’m not going to lie, as much as I love Montgomery, having a steady stable of backs that can kill you in different ways excites me. The Patriots make it work.

Pass rushers haven’t turned many heads but Johnathan Calvin’s name emerged as someone that is shining as a pass rusher. In other exciting news, the 4 OLB lineman package, also known as the NASCAR package, was seen on Thursday. Always a fan favorite.

Imagine this for a moment. It’s 3rd and 11. Obvious passing situation. Just let it simmer.

I won’t add a link. And I’m not going to brag. I’m not. But he did it again. You guessed it. My man, the most underrated Packer on the 90 man roster, Mr. Quinten Rollins had people’s heads spinning again. Here were his highlights from Thursday.

Rollins loses a step on Yancey, gains the ground, and is able to strip the ball for an incompletion

Rollins, playing outside, breaks up a quick slant to Martellus Bennett

Offense uses a rub to get Cobb open. Rollins slips through to keep it to a short gain.

The guy has emerged as the top corner and the competition isn’t even close.

Some more good news in the quarterback room. The number 2 quarterback Brett Hundley, who has had a rough start, started to get into a rhythm and was looking fantastic. Hey even Rodgers needs a little time sometimes.

Lastly, as I’m sure you can guess, Mason Crosby nailed all his 8 kicks, kicking from 33 yards to 52 yards. So far this camp, the guy has only missed one kick!

I think the boys are ready. Bring on Philly. Bring on Seattle. Forget that, those guys are toast, bring on Atlanta!

I bought my own flowers!

You probably think; that is a strange title for your new blogpost?

And I completely understand that.

Today I want to talk about getting confident and stronger in your own body and mind.

Three days ago, I succeeded a little bit in this. Maybe a big succeed, because I’m still very proud of myself that I was able to do it. Three days ago, I was going to the flower store with my boyfriend to buy plants. The other plants that we had, had died. So, we were in the store and it was very small and that made it hard for me to move around.

Because I’m as big as a shopping cart (for your imagination), it was pretty hard for me to move around and I was getting annoyed about it. Okay i was able to go in the main route because every store makes that possible for their shopping carts, but all the side rows are out of league.

As I was getting more frustrated every second and more annoyed that I bumped into every pot or basket, I had to get out of there. I yelled at my boyfriend that I was going to wait outside.

When I was rolling through the cash register desk, I saw flowers and again it was very small to move around and I was still frustrated. So, I told myself flowers make you happy, go buy them you know you can do it.

Tulips are always good. I grabbed two bundles of tulips and put them between my legs. The only hard thing that I didn’t think about was that I’m not able to squeeze them. So one bundle  of tulips fell and I didn't brake in time so I ran them over. A lovely girl picked them up and gave them to me. I thanked her and went farther on my way to pay the tulips. Now the next problem came that the pin station was high and I was not able to reach for it. Behind me was a line of 7 people getting more angry with the minute because I was thinking how I was going to pay. After a few minutes of brainstorming, suddenly the woman behind the desk had a portable pin station and I was able to pay. The persons after me in line where very frustrated that it took so long for me to pay. I grabbed my tulips and wanted to roll away so the next person in line was able to pay, but all the people didn’t go to the side to let me pass. I nicely asked if they could go to the side. After a lot of ‘pff’ and other angry noises they got aside, and I was able to go to the car where my boyfriend was waiting.

When we sat in the car he asked me why I was so excited but at the same time frustrated? I told him what happened inside, that I was proud of myself that I bought my own flowers, but that also people are not always very nice when it’s about people in a wheelchair.

With this story I wanted to let you know that however much obstacles you have to overcome, if in the end it makes you happy then do it. Don't be frustrated about people that don't help and make angry noises. Be proud of what you did.

Now I have tulips at home and a few of them are a little bit sad looking because I ran them over but every morning when I wake up and I see the tulips, I know I’m a step closer to living a normal life. Maybe when you read this, it is a small step for you, but guys for me it is a big step.

When you're feeling down, buy flowers. Think of my story and be happy that you where also able to buy flowers.
