Veterinary Nurse Position Pets Haven Veterinary Clinic is looking for a qualified and experienced veterinary nurse to join our team. The suitable applicant will work a 4-week roster with an average of 38 hours per week. This would include one weekend in four and a day off per week. The position requires a nurse who is able to work both independently and as part of a team. Nurses are encouraged to do venepuncture, IV catheter placement, anaesthesia, radiology and patient monitoring. Our practice is well equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope and full surgical equipment. To be successful in your application, you must be able to demonstrate: Certificate IV Qualifications as a Veterinary Nurse (or equivalent). Hi Guys Well Happy Monday ~ the first day back for many is nearly over. We thought we would take this opportunity in introducing ‘Bear’. You might see this little trouble maker, who by the way is completely adorable at our clinic. Bear is our newest Pets Haven family member (he is not available for adoption). Hopefully many of our regular clients and supporters will watch Bear grow into an amazing dog. Did you know our Veterinary clinic provides numerous services like Entropion surgery. Entropion is an abnormality of the eyelids in which the eyelid rolls inward. This inward rolling often causes the hair on the surface of the eyelid to rub against the cornea resulting in pain, corneal ulcers, perforations, or pigment developing on the cornea which can interfere with vision. Little Bear had his surgery at our clinic yesterday and is recovering quite well. Though in occasional cases, despite excellent medical and surgical management, entropion can at times recur. Let’s hope little Bear fully recovers. If you are worried about your pet or think he/she might have an entropion issue, please contact our veterinary clinic. Gorgeous Martha has come so far since arriving into our care a couple of months ago This girl was rescued from a rural pound and we estimate her age to be around 13 years old. Miss Martha arrived with ear infections, dry eye, skin conditions and a grade 5 heart murmur but thanks to her new mum and lots of veterinary treatment she is looking and feeling so much better. We are so grateful the pound gave us the opportunity to rescue Martha, she now knows more love than ever before 💕 Martha’s mum is one of our vets at our veterinary clinic and fell in love with her the moment she saw her. Meet Cherry Cherry is an absolutely stunning, approx 18 week old Cattledog/Bull Terrier blend. What can we say about Little Miss Cherry? An absolute bright spark, the snuggliest cuddle bug, gets on well with other dogs, crate trained and almost toilet trained and loves her food. Cherry does have a secret - she is deaf. Don't let this detail deter you, though: it doesn't stop her! With some hand sign training, Cherry has learnt to sit, give paw and lie down, very quickly and if you have a carrot or some liver treats she will be willing to learn so much more! Cherry will need her furever home to have a secure back yard and a loving family that are willing to teach her how to be the best dog she can be. A playful doggy sibling would be preferable.
