Today in door no. 16 it's going to be small, but very cute. We're going on board a yacht. The Libava awaits us.
Tumblr media
More about her:
Construction of the Libava began in May 2007 at the ‘Varyag’ shipyard in Petrozavodsk (Russia). The ship was launched in September 2008 and was built using traditional technologies that were in use three centuries ago. The ship designs were created on the basis of museum materials, in particular original drawings of Dutch yachts from the archives of the Naval Museum in St. Petersburg and German historical books. The prototype of the Libava was based on Dutch gentlemen's yachts with a shallow draught. Such ships were popular with the European aristocracy of the 17th century for pleasure and prestige purposes.
