I Am My Own Person

If I have a problem with you, it will be because I have a problem with you, not because someone else has a problem with you.

Frankly I have never functioned like that. You tell me something about someone else, so my feelings about that person are supposed to change? I am not sure exactly whom that works on, but that doesn't work on me.

But I have also been one to never succumb to peer pressure. I could care less that everyone was doing it. I wasn't doing it and that was fine with me.

Now, even if years later your values or beliefs systems change, my feelings about you don't change. Michael who knew David, was coming out the side of his neck about all the things David was now. I told Michael, I don't really care about any of that, I have always liked David, I will always like David.

If David doesn't like me anymore, thats on David.

I also knew that Michael knew Geeta, and Geeta knew David, and I am not sure what any of them did with each other, I was never privy to any of that, but also it was none of my concern. If Michael had beef with David, it wasn't my beef or furthermore my business.

I've never functioned like that.

Now I know for a fact, folks have had a problem with me based on what other people have said about me, this also makes no sense to me.

Why wouldn't you get a first hand account of whats going on? Why would you take at face value anything anyone says about someone else? That just seems foolish to me, and I don't suffer fools lightly, so that has actually worked out for me.

If you come to me correctly I will do the same for you. If you come at me sideways, I am just not gonna fuck with you.

I don't hold grudges, I just shut down contact.

I have no desire to have disloyal untrustworthy duplicitous folks around me, I'd rather just keep my own confidence, than have to navigate the fall-out from someone running behind me telling tales.

This is a reason my grandmother's death bought me such relief.

She liked to stir up shit for her own entertainment. I always felt it best to not engage with her. Because personally I found her proclivities toxic as fuck, and I have never been a person who deliberately manipulates folks, just for my own entertainment.

As I have said many times, I try to use my powers for good.

Now, if you have gotten on my bad side it usually had to be in degrees.

Michael did something that disappointed me, but I still like Michael. I wanted Michael to explain himself, or at the least apologize for not delivering what he promised, he did neither. So I ain't fucking with Michael.

I wanted to reconnect with Eric after about a decade of space, everything was going good till he reverted to type and did an asshole thing. Once again I expected at least an apology, which never came, so his ass was relegated back to the past. I still like Eric.

As I said I am not one to hold grudges, but I can't suffer slights that go unrecognized or reconciled. I am a reasonable person, if I think you aren't clear about what pissed me off, I will make it plain, its the least I can do. But then the balls in your court to make it right, or move on. I have no problem with your choice being the latter.

I feel this personal philosophy keeps me honest, grounds me in the present and clearly defines my boundaries. I am not a person with whom the goal post is always changing, you respect me, I will respect you. You disrespect me, I stop fucking with you.

My dad used to say, K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple Stupid, and I feel I do, I feel I do more so than anyone around me. I am not prone to lies, I prefer directness over being obtuse, and albeit I am quite queer I am a straight shooter.

I have always been my own person. I have had to be, I couldn't be doing what the other little knuckleheads around me were doing, a lot of it just never made sense. You did X because so and so did X. You followed so and so to Y, but you didn't know where Y was.

People are generally idiots, who in my opinion don't really contemplate their choices before deciding. That has never been me, even as a child I was very calculated in what I was doing and why I did it. This is why nine times out of ten I usually always agree with my past-self and my past decisions.

I can't even think of a single instance where I made a decision that was out of character, except for letting Nelson Lorenzo bully me into getting my ear pierced back in junior high school. I may have kept that piercing for four or five years before just letting it close. It wasn't really me. I liked Nelson, we worked together at Petland Discount. He was one of the cool kids. Where some folks had issue with me, Nelson and I were always cool.

I think I’ve been reading too much Hunger Games fanfiction lately. After a childhood best friend of mine visited my mom and I yesterday, I had a dream with her, myself, Katniss, Peeta, Annie and Finnick in it.

It kind of turned more mobster than actual Hunger Games for it. There were performances in like a theatre/Olympics type of setting. Annie and Finnick were on like the same gymnastics team sort of thing and after they announced their pregnancy (and the fact that they were together at all) it placed them in a very dangerous situation. Which ended up with their baby being taken from them a few months after the baby boy was born. So my friend, Katniss, Peeta and I arranged to meet with this other group of mobsters to try and get their baby back.

Last book you enjoyed: the last actual physical book i read and enjoyed was probably the ballad of songbirds and snakes by suzanne collins, the prequel to the hunger games trilogy. absolutely incredible 10/10 i loved it

Favourite thing to cook/bake: i hate cooking and baking 😅 i guess a crock pot stew cause i can dump everything in a pot, turn it on low for 8 hours and call it a day 😂

Favourite craft to do in your free time: does writing count as a craft? if it does then writing 😂 if not uhhhh idk i spend most of my free time reading or writing lately

Most niche dislike: this is a good question! corporate pet retail i think honesty. i've been working in the pet industry over 5 years and it's actually super disgusting how common neglect and abuse is. fuck petsmart and petland and any other retail store that sells live animals! adopt don't shop!!!

Opinion on circuses: i've never gone to one but i'm against most things that involve animal captivity so i'm gonna say a vague negative opinion

Do you have any sense of direction: no i have a terrible sense of direction 😂😂 it's better than when i was a kid but still shit

yeah sure anon. i've NEVER seen a single rescue (in the us bc that's where october and mawce are) who charges anything more than 150$ for an animal. MOST of the time those "high priced animals" (≈150$) are puppies or kittens or babies that require a lot of care.

it sounds like you got your "700$+" dog at a puppy mill, even if you don't think it was. let's not forget that petland, or any chain stores that sell animals (except petsmart) are puppy mills. they sell animals with awful quality builds and horrid genetics.
