No ganáis, Tristán, conmigo, pues parto a vagar, cuitado.

You know what the coronavirus pandemic hasn't stopped? The Hong Kong protests.
In fact, the protests have ramped up bc the CCP has passed on today, May 28th 2020 (HKT), the death sentence for Hong Kong, i.e. the most sinister plan to take away Hongkongers’ freedoms while we're all busy dealing with the coronavirus. Remember the now-withdrawn extradition law amendment bill (ELAB) that sparked the anti-ELAB protests last year? This new plan not only does that, but it even unleashes a whole new range of assault power.
No, the CCP isn't gonna crack down on Hongkongers with visible violence. They've learnt from the disastrous PR management of the June 4th / Tiananmen Massacre. Also, they need a better excuse for interfering in Hong Kong, 1 of the largest international financial centres and the gateway for the CCP to gain foreign currency and break into global financial markets.
Instead, the CCP’s plan is to force a "national security law" in Hong Kong like what they've been using in mainland China, bypassing Hong Kong’s legislature. The CCP leadership has already passed this law today, May 28th (HKT) and can sign it into effect as soon as early June.
We don’t know how much longer we can continue accessing international communication sites, which are banned in mainland China but freely accessible in Hong Kong, especially Google, WhatsApp, Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. If we suddenly go silent about our fight for democracy, you can assume the censorship resulting from the "national security law" has taken effect.
Who’s gonna define that "national security law"? Most likely the CCP. They have their own legal system, instead of the common law system that HK uses based on the UK system. The CCP has an abominable track record of arbitrarily defining the law to persecute dissidents, violating human rights in the process. They have various means of silencing dissidents even if they manage to escape China. Well known dissidents include:
LIU Xiaobo, a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate.
HUANG Qi and TAN Zuoren, who advocated for an investigation into corruption in school construction following the 2008 Sichuan earthquake.
LI Wangyang, who took part in Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, tortured while in jail for 22 years and even still kept under surveillance after being released from prison.
WANG Quanzhang, a human rights lawyer who defends political activists and victims of police torture.
LEE Ming-che, a Taiwanese rights activist who promotes human rights and democracy online.
HU Jia, who posted articles on social issues which criticises the CCP.
WANG Yi (pen name: WANG Shuya), a Christian pastor who founded and led one of the well known underground churches in mainland China.
Tashi WANGCHUK, a Tibetan language education activist.
Currently, Hong Kong is the only city among all technically CCP-ruled regions where your freedoms and human rights are protected in practice (though fast eroding) with judicial independence (also starting to skew) following international law.
After the "national security law" passes, Hongkongers will lose all our fundamental freedoms and rights, including but not limited to:
Freedom of expression.
The right to peaceful assembly.
Freedom of the press.
Freedom of thought.
Rights against arbitrary arrest, detention or exile.
The right against torture; and even,
The right to life, liberty and security of person.
Our fight against the CCP will become illegal, since we'll no longer be able to monitor and speak out against the CCP and CCP-backed HK government. Our very existence as Hongkongers could be seen as a rebellion. Hong Kong today, the world tomorrow.
Everyone, no matter your nationality, will no longer be safe from the CCP. The CCP threatens international law. The proposed law plans to allow CCP agents to work in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is one of the largest international travel hubs. Whoever lives in, or simply passing through Hong Kong, could be kidnapped and transported to mainland China if the CCP thinks you’re a threat. Does that sound familiar? Yeah, bc that’s the exact potential loophole we criticised during the anti-ELAB protests. In fact, this kind of abduction already happened in 2015, in the Causeway Bay Books disappearances which include LAM Wing-kee and GUI Minhai. The booksellers were persecuted for selling books on politics, human rights, criticism of the CCP leadership, and any subject that the CCP leadership didn’t like.
After the "national security law" passes, we'll no longer have the freedom to raise the alarm to the world about new epidemics first popping up in mainland China, like the coronavirus now and SARS in 2003 (more from the WHO archive). Fun fact: Hongkongers have been managing the coronavirus relatively well precisely bc we don't trust the CCP-backed HK gov and we’ve been taking preventive measures way before it advises us to, based on previous experience with SARS.
We’ll no longer have the right to be assumed innocent until proven guilty in the court, not even the right to fair trial and equality under the law, since HK will no longer have an independent judicial system under the separation of powers. Hong Kong is run on the rule of law but the CCP runs on the rule by law, and the CCP has increasingly pressured HK’s judges. Foreign judges will be banned from national security cases, likely bc they are more likely to uphold the rule of law and independent judiciary.
We'll no longer have the freedom to talk about the truth. Instead, we’ll be forced to censor ourselves and substitute the truth with CCP approved propaganda. The CCP knows who controls the truth controls society. The coronavirus? “No, it's spread to China by the US armed forces. It's a part of their plan to frame the CCP.” Banning TikTok and Huawei? “They don't cause security or privacy issues. There's no censorship on the platforms provided through these technologies. The ‘accusations’ are a part of an international plan to frame the CCP.” (Notice a pattern here?) Just 3 days ago (May 25, 2020), the Hong Kong exam board, which is independent from the Education Bureau, was forced to cancel a public exam question about Japan’s roles in the development of China from 1900 up to WWII bc it “hurts Chinese people’s” (aka CCP’s) “esteem and feelings”.
We'll no longer have the freedom to connect with the international community (Joshua WONG, Hong Kong activist) and different cultures with open minds, as the CCP looks down on the values and impacts of non-CCP-approved-Chinese cultures. It has an insatiable need to dominate the world through homogeneity, seizing natural resources, and economic expansion. Just look at how the CCP treats Uyghurs and Tibetans. Read about the Belt and Road Initiative especially in Africa - it's practically CCP colonialism. Then look at how the CCP, by building dams in upstream Mekong River, has caused a drought in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. The CCP keeps claiming without proof that Hongkongers who want democracy are a minority (Spoiler: We aren't. At least 2 million residents out of 7.5 million, i.e. over 1 in 4 residents, marched for democracy on June 16, 2019. Remember?) are influenced by Western chaos agents, bc the CCP can't afford citizens thinking critically, criticizing and holding them accountable for their actions. Case in point: the June 4th / Tiananmen Massacre. The CCP-backed HK gov has extended the ban on social gatherings until (you guessed it) June 4th, which is rumoured to stop people from holding vigils, even though daily new coronavirus cases are in single digits and schools are reopening a week before.
We'll no longer have the freedom to maintain our identity of being Hongkongers, since according to CCP logic, being local / Hongkongers means identifying against CCP-controlled China → challenging and rebelling against the CCP → directly threatening CCP’s authority → enemy of CCP. The most conspicuous symbols? The Hong Kong anthem, Glory to Hong Kong. And Cantonese, the native language of over 90% of Hongkongers. A similar case has already happened with Tibetan culture and language: Tashi WANGCHUK, a Tibetan language education activist, was persecuted in 2018 simply for advocating to preserve his own heritage.
(Side note: If you ask if somebody speaks Chinese, it's like asking if they speak Asian or European. “Chinese” encompasses a group of languages which include Cantonese, Taiwanese and Mandarin, which currently many people refer to as “Chinese”. If you start talking in mainland-Chinese accented Mandarin to Hongkongers without asking, you'll get responses ranging from confused / pained replies in most likely English, often Cantonese, or rarely, Mandarin; the side eye; the silent treatment; or even a glare. We’re far more welcoming if you speak Taiwanese-accented Mandarin though.)
Hongkongers will keep fighting for our rights, and we need reinforced international support in our most urgent battle. So what can you do to stand with us?
1. Chris PATTEN, the last governor of Hong Kong under British rule, has led a joint statement to protest against the CCP’s move to force the "national security law" in Hong Kong. As of writing on May 28th, the day of passing the law, the joint statement's been co-signed by over 618 political representatives and academics from 33 countries, including the UK, the US, the EU, Canada, Australia, Russia and the rest of Asia. Please write to encourage your local policymaker to cosign the letter (template linked in-text).
2. Sign petitions that support our fight for freedom, e.g. international sanctions against the CCP, the CCP-backed Hong Kong government, and the Hong Kong Police Force.
3. Continue making posts in support of Hongkongers on your regular social media sites, esp Twitter, where there's a higher chance of politicians seeing your posts.
Yeah, like Matan EVENOFF, who tricked the NBA dance cam into streaming support for Hong Kong.
4. Report content spreading pro-CCP propaganda about the Hong Kong democracy movement; report both the comment / post and the account. Some common insults pro-CCP trolls use: “cockr**ch” (dehumanizing Hong Kong protestors); “sb” (initials of “d**chebag” in Mandarin); “nmsl” (initials of “Your mum is dead” in Mandarin); “biss” (a contraction of “must d*e” in Mandarin); and insinuating in any way that anyone in support of the protests is a “servant” or a “pet” of foreign politicians. People have mentioned that on Twitter, reports on pro-CCP troll content are more thoroughly followed up on and the content more likely to be removed. I've found that on Instagram, reporting as spam has a higher removal rate than reporting to other relevant categories.
5. Stay updated with the situation on HK by following independent and/or pro-democracy journalists in HK:
Hong Kong Free Press (In English. Official website / Twitter @hongkongfp / Instagram @hongkongfp / Youtube @hongkongfp / Facebook @hongkongfp)
The Stand News (Mostly in Chinese, but you don’t need to know Chinese to understand their infographics. Official website / Twitter @standnewshk / Instagram @thestandnews / Youtube @standnewshk / Facebook @standnewshk)
RTHK News (In both English and Chinese news; publicly funded. As of May 28th 2020, it has still maintained objective reporting, but this could change for the worse quickly bc the CCP-backed HK government has plans to interfere in its editorial independence. Official website / Twitter @rthk_enews / Facebook @RTHKEnglishNews)
Guardians of Hong Kong / Be Water Hong Kong (a volunteer page that translates news from Chinese to English; it updates quickly. Official website / Twitter @BeWaterHKG / Instagram @guardiansofhk / Facebook @BeWaterHongKong)
No matter what ultimately happens to Hongkongers, you're helping us make history. And even if Hongkongers still lose in the end, promise us that you'll continue fighting for us.
Remember us for centuries.

![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7f7eb530c87d3765e025ce54bee2a223/6c33a015f1e788db-37/s540x810/fa0e1e7059a871457a9b60748865d399db6b9260.jpg)

![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/8b7538772a9c41f85e748f5e0363139c/6c33a015f1e788db-47/s540x810/0b4e97db2c7ae3ee041cd13f200d70cc19876394.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/8d6f727dcdb4c42956cd1aed0aef38ca/6c33a015f1e788db-1c/s540x810/b66afab6c0131d79a3a534b5a85bbbc600183628.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/9028f46e7ef6aa0eb5cbd920d6540f60/6c33a015f1e788db-1e/s540x810/8cf9d8bc4f0684e7238c0e32dfe9084f7bcb673b.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ae29f33cde3c4a153e5d69135b345c92/6c33a015f1e788db-1b/s540x810/359452ba96b88e99f3b834a4311dbef9a0283635.jpg)

More Than Words - Part Two
Today’s the day I was going to originally start posting this little fic, but you got the first part early! I’m trying to keep each part small (which is actually harder for me than long long chapters, believe it or not) so hopefully you’ll get a little taste each day, or every second day if real life gets in the way. Grab a coffee and enjoy :)
If you haven’t read it already, here’s a link to PART ONE
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/1c1e58b2254ed8f2c6115141c7383366/18287766371f4517-ec/s540x810/5669af402605a13929770c47546241c498c4ea47.jpg)
Pat…
Pat pat pat pat pat…
Inuyasha grunted, blearily opening his eyes to the tiny orange fluffball currently sitting on his chest, one paw resting against his cheekbone.
Mew. Mew. Meoooow!
The kitten patted him on the cheek again with his tiny paw and then flexed his needle like claws for good measure. Inuyasha’s hand shot out and grabbed the tiny kitten by the scruff of the neck and shook him very gently.
“Shippou, dame!” He glanced over to the clock resting on the small desk that acted as his study space, dining room table and general holdall for things he didn’t have room for anywhere else. 5.59am. As he watched, the numbers ticked over and a tinny sounding alarm beeped at him. Time to get up.
He sat up and swung his legs around, stretching both arms up above his head and groaning in relief at the satisfying pops that got the kinks out of his back. He tried to ignore the excited kitten kneading his paws on his bare thigh, but the tiny pricks of those sharp little claws made it difficult. He cracked his neck from side to side. Sometimes he wondered if sleeping on the floor would be more comfortable than this lumpy mattress he’d found on the side of the road.
Shippou jumped down as Inuyasha stood, circling his legs with plaintive mews as he turned off the alarm then shuffled over to the small cupboard under the sink, retrieving the box of cat biscuits. Shippou’s mews became even more frantic as he shook some cat biscuits into a small blue bowl then placed it on the tiled floor next to an identical bowl of water. The kitten immediately began eating noisily, his little paws kneading against the cold floor. Inuyasha couldn’t help but grin at him.
It wasn’t like he’d wanted a cat. But when he’d found the tiny kitten shivering near the back fence, covered in dirt and fleas with his little tail caught in a tin can, he couldn’t very well just leave him there. He was sorta getting used to having the little guy around. Even if he was a little shit that bit him on the ankles every time he walked in the door. He was a little concerned about telling Kaede that he’d adopted a kitten – there wasn’t a clause about pets on his lease, but he was hoping she wouldn’t mind. She had already overlooked a lot of things when she’d agreed to take him on as a tenant - maybe just one more wouldn’t hurt?
He popped a slice of bread in his toaster, then spread the hot toast with a lot of butter and the tiniest scraping of Vegemite. The salty taste was good for breakfast, but he’d learnt the hard way that it was better eaten in small portions.
Glancing at the time, he quickly pulled on his clothes, and pulled his hair up into a loose bun, trying to ignore the overflowing laundry basket in the corner. Sunday was laundry day, the one day that he didn’t open the shop. He didn’t like the laundromat, but washing it in his own sink and trying to get it all dry was worse. He got the impression that the older woman who ran it was always trying to flirt with him, and it made him uncomfortable, but there was nowhere else within walking distance, and going somewhere on the train or bus meant extra money, so he had to put up with it.
Shippou was now contentedly sitting on the windowsill above Inuyasha’s bed, diligently washing his face with his tiny paws after finishing his breakfast. He’d been so bony when Inuyasha had first found him two weeks ago, frighteningly so, but now he was beginning to fill out. His orange and white striped fur was now fluffy and clean, and his green eyes sparkled with mischief. The tray of cat litter was still unused that morning, so Inuyasha turned to leave, giving Shippou a final glance.
“Be a good boy Shippou”, he said, his english slow and careful. Shippou paused his ablutions to blink at him, his tongue still poking out mid lick, and Inuyasha snorted. At least he didn’t have to worry too much about making a mistake in front of his new flatmate; Shippou wasn’t the best conversationalist either.
He yawned again as he jogged down the steep staircase that led from his studio to the shop, then pulled up the metal security door that covered the shopfront, letting in some cooler morning air. 6.30am. Just enough time for him to make himself a coffee before…
“Good morning!”
He turned in surprise. There was the girl from yesterday. She was leaning over, with her hands resting on her knees, panting a little. His eyes roved appreciatively over her petite form, dressed in what was obviously her running gear – ¾ leggings, a cropped misshapen t-shirt with some unintelligible english words that showed an enticing sliver of pale skin, and bright blue running shoes. He watched as she tugged the earbuds from her ears, shoving them in a tiny pocket in her leggings. Wait, what had she said again? Still half asleep, he racked his brain for the right words – it had been a greeting of some sort, he was sure.
“Hullo Kagome”, he said cautiously.
The smile she gifted him with as she suddenly stood upright rivaled the warmth of the summer sunrise behind her.
“You remembered my name!” He smirked at the excited wriggle she did, shuffling her feet on the footpath. “I have to know yours now!”
He blinked at her.
“Uh…” she tapped her lips with her forefinger as if thinking for a moment, then pointed to herself. “Kagome”, then gestured towards him and looked at him expectantly.
He hesitated for a moment. What name should he give her? The english one that he’d been putting on all his documentation since he came to Australia, or his real name, the name he’d mostly left behind with his old life. After looking at her open friendly face for a few more moments, he came to a decision.
“Inuyasha.” He bowed forward a little.
Kagome smiled. “That’s Japanese, right?” He nodded. “Yes, I was right!” she said with a grin. “Hajimemashite Inuyasha.”
“Hajimemashite Kagome”, he grinned. He breathed a sigh of relief. Another person he could speak to besides Kaede and Sango. Although, she’d said that a bit hesitantly, like she was trying to remember it. “Nihongo wo hanasemasuka?” he asked.
Kagome held up her forefinger and thumb close together, and shrugged. “Only two terms in high school. And words I picked up from anime. And the swear words Souta and I learned to tease Jiji.”
Inuyasha shrugged back. From the general jist of what he’d just understood, her answer was ‘not much’. He latched on to the last bit of of information. “Jiji? Grandfather?”
Kagome beamed at him and nodded. “Uh huh. My grandfather is Japanese.” An alarm beeped on her phone, and she reached into the small pocket it was wedged in. “Aw crap, I gotta run, otherwise I won’t have time to have a shower before work.” She tucked the phone back in her pocket and put her earbuds back in her ears. “Jā matane Inuyasha!” she called out as she jogged away.
“Yeah. See you Kagome!” he called back with a wave. He couldn’t help smiling as he walked back inside the shop. That had been nice. He’d spoken english to her and she hadn’t tried to correct him or tease him, just been cheerful and supportive. He moved over to the coffee machine and switched it on, ready to start his day. But he couldn’t help glance up in the direction Kagome had gone. He hoped he would see her again soon.

Matane !

When Olson is asked in the video how she would like to be treated, the question appears to catch her off guard. “In our next episodes, we want to keep spotlighting provocative stories about women that you don’t get to access through magazines and reality television.” I believe that with that proper exposure, we can minimize the destruction and even reverse some negative trends against women,” he told CNN in an email. “Today, unfortunately women are seriously under-represented across nearly all sectors of society around the globe.

Article which appeared in Ha’aretz 25.6.2021
* The protesters in Balfour look at their work with pride, but also with a little apprehension *
They protested near the prime minister's residence with the piety of believers and suffered insults, beatings and arrests. Now that the Netanyahu family is packing, the main activists are concluding a period, but for some of them a protest is far from over.
* Nir Hasson * 25.06.2021 06:00
Last Saturday night it was the first time in four years that Sami Alkalay did not go to the demonstration. "I've been missing two or three for four years," he admits after a thought. Instead of a demonstration he went with his wife to a movie. On the way they passed near Balfour. Several demonstrators gathered and shouted "Get out," in protest of the refusal of former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the official residence. "I saw them together, and I did not miss it . I had done what needed to be done," Alkalay says.
There were bigger protests than the Balfour protest, but there seemed to be no more determined ones. Yesterday (Thursday), the black flag movement also announced that it had achieved its goal: "Removing the greatest threat to the State of Israel from the chair of the state's leadership," the statement said.
Thousands of activists have devoted a significant portion of their lives to protesting against Netanyahu. Most of them had not been political activists before, but in the last four years, and especially in the year since the major protests began in Balfour, they have made the political protest against Netanyahu an integral part of their lives and identities. They came to Balfour with the piety of believers, quarreled with family members and friends who were bibists or skeptics, invested thousands of shekels of their money in travel and signs, and suffered insults and beatings from right-wing activists and police arrests. Now that the main purpose of the protest has been successfully crowned and the Netanyahu family is packing their belongings at the official residence, they look back with pride, and forward with a little apprehension - about Netanyahu's return or corruption, but also about boredom.
Natanya Ginzburg, 82, a native of South Africa who walks with two walking sticks, was one of the symbols of the protesters in Balfour. Every week she used to not only come to the demonstration in Balfour, but also to the String Bridge, at the entrance to Jerusalem, and from there to Paris Square along with the crowds. "I had a hard time with going up of Bezalel street which is very steep," she admits. In addition to the demonstrations near the prime minister's residence, she demonstrated with her friends at the "Migdal Nofim" sheltered housing complex in the Kiryat Hayovel neighborhood at the Monster Junction. Like many activists, she too has experienced violence from right-wing activists. During one of the demonstrations at the intersection, she was knocked down in an alteracation by a right-wing activist who got out of his vehicle. "I had no dizziness, I had no nausea. Nothing that a glass of whiskey can solve," she replied to the paramedic who asked that she be be evacuated. In another case, she was attacked by two in the Mahane Yehuda market. "I went with a T-shirt by Yeshayahu Leibowitz that says 'I told you so,'" she says. "I was alone in the market. He passed by a couple and started cursing me and dancing around me and saying it was a pity they didn't make me soap. It was not pleasant, but I got used to it too." Despite this she admits she will miss Balfour: "I will not miss the noise, but the young people, even though sometimes the attention was embarrassing to me, encouraged me saying that because of me they feel they have to keep going."
Meir (Moscow) Moskowitz was one of the permanent occupants of the sidewalk in front of the Prime Minister's residence. Until four years ago he was never in a demonstration. Like many, he finds it difficult to put his finger on a single incident that caused him to come, but the combination of the submarine affair and the dismissal of Mani Naftali, the head of the house at the Prime Minister's Residence, caused him to start protesting in Goren Square in Petah Tikva. “Like someone becoming a football fan, that’s how I became active in protest,” he says. "A lot of people said to me, 'What do you need this for?' "They understood that I was stubborn. To their credit, the day a new government was formed, they sent me WhatsApps and wrote that it was because of me, even though I did not think so."
Danny Danieli, former director of cultural institutions in Jerusalem and now an organizational consultant, joined the protest four and a half years ago. "There were moments I had a hard time," he says. "There were cold and stormy evenings. We had terrible years in Paris Square. Sometimes 20 people and sometimes 25. You seem to be the only one in the world who cares. But I said I was here until a result was achieved. When the young people started joining, I said 'no matter what happens, I dedicate it to All the time it takes. "
Many activists report criticism and misunderstanding from friends and family over the years of protest. "I heard it a lot," says Alkalay, "treated me like a hallucinatory god. 'What are you standing there for? It won't help.' I even had bitter arguments with my wife." "Family and friends is a sore point," Danieli adds. "I have friends who have disappointed me, people who did not have a different position in terms of the need for change, but they did not leave the house."
"My father would say to me, 'Find a life, make your home,' but in my eyes I do for my home, because I am really worried about the future of my children. That is why I am struggling," says Adv. Gonen Ben Yitzhak, a senior activist in the Crimea Minster movement.
"My brother said to me 'Leave, who will pay attention to you?' Says Rami Matan, 70, who is also a veteran of the protesters. Matan is the chairman of his hometown, Nataf in the Jerusalem mountains. He is a former IDF and police officer and was a battalion commander on the Chinese farm during the Yom Kippur War. "I never dreamed I would confront police," he says. Matan stood in the square with Alkalay and others. Three years before Amir Hashakel, the prominent protest activists, came for his Shabbat strike, which turned Paris Square into “Balfour Square.” “I told my wife that was my mission now. This is my life's mission, "he says. He was arrested twice - the first time after drawing the word" you "on the road at the Hemed interchange, and the second time after police came to his home on suspicion of hoarding equipment intended for an illegal demonstration." They claimed we were planning to break into the house of the Prime Minister, "he says." I told them, 'Are you crazy?' "
Last Saturday evening, Adv. Ben Yitzhak devoted himself to drafting a petition to the High Court against Netanyahu's stay at the prime minister's residence, "but then they announced that Bennett and Netanyahu had closed on a departure date and I did not submit," he clarifies. For him, the protest did not end. "Not a day goes by that I do not deal with it. This week we issued a letter exhausting proceedings on the center, on security for Netanyahu's children and a public letter to MK Galit Distel-Atbrian from the Likud, so that she can remove her immunity and be sued for a reward

This week we issued a letter extending proceedings on the center, on security for Netanyahu's children and a public letter to MK Galit Distel-Atbrian from the Likud, so that she can remove her immunity and be sued for libel against Kiry Minster. I do a lot of things, I don't feel empty, and there are a lot of things that still need to be taken care of. Netanyahu is a symptom of a bigger problem. "
Since the election, Moskowitz has stopped coming to demonstrations and decided to wait and see what happens. Last week he demonstrated again, this time in front of the home of the new health minister, Nitzan Horowitz, in protest of the extension of the Corona emergency laws. "Everyone is in a coma, wanting to give the new government a chance, so there are not too many partners. But I'm waiting," he says. "I treat this government the way I treated the previous one - I don't make a distinction between right and left. I have a lot of good friends I knew in protest, but I don't need friends meetings. It was not a friends meeting for me. It was a war."
"I even shed a tear," Matan admits, recounting the day the new government was sworn in. "It was a huge relief. We did not get to rest and estate. There is still a lot to fix. Now I take care of the garden. I neglected it and the house as well."
Like many others in the protest, Ginzburg is now directing her activist energies to protest against the occupation and stepping up her activities in the Machsom Watch organization and in demonstrations against the settlers in Sheikh Jarrah. "I'll find something to deal with," she says, "but I was actually willing to be a little boring."

Matane !
