As another year comes to its conclusion (and with some extra time on my hands #igotcovid), I’ve been reflecting on adventures I’ve had and new adventures to come. Imagine being face to face with that mug! These are a few photos I took of the second bushmaster we found on my last Peruvian Amazon expedition back in October. Look at those eyes!! I’ll have another YT video coming out about this snake later this month, checkout the last one on our channel Florida’s Wildest. We found not one, but TWO bushmasters on back to back nights hiking in the jungle. I love these large, impressive, highly venomous snakes! The last two trips I led we found one on each too, it’s been epic! Bushmasters and mambas have been my favorite snakes to find in the wild! The bushmaster is the largest viper in the world and the largest venomous snake in the Western Hemisphere with some reaching 12ft. I estimated this one to be 7ft+. In my opinion, the pinnacle of snakes in the Americas. They are large, rare, venomous and elusive. I can’t describe the feeling of finding one, they’re so impressive! I’ll be leading an another expedition where we hope to see another bushmaster, along with other exciting wildlife, next fall!! Come join!
