🔥 Bahkauv by @deluxewhump - Three friends traveling to the city stop off at a hunters camp to purchase a vampire for one of them to research at the university he will be attending. They purchase something a little different instead. (monster/vampire-adjacent whumpee, rescue/recovery, caretaker new master, burns, torture)

🧙‍♀️ Demon's Haven by @whumpwillow - Summoning demons for requests with a price far less expensive than one’s undying soul is common practice for witches, especially those who practice dark magic. Haven just wants to unlock a grimoire she found with the help of demonic magic, yet she ends up not in a battle of wits and wills but comforting a tortured and traumatized demon. (demon whumpee, rescue/recovery, desperate begging whumpee, accidental whump, caretaking)

💔 Shattered by @oddsconvert - Years of being held captive, under the vampires brutal persusasion has finally broken Declan, shattered his mind. Not living but not quite dead, paralysed in a comatose-like state. Vince decides his once delicious bloodbag has finally reached its end, selling it during it’s final few days. When August sees the advert for the dying human, he knows what he must do. Taking on the responsibility of nursing Declan back to health - though he is woefully unprepared for just how deep and severe the damage is and the hardships that will arise whilst tackling it. 🧟‍♀️ Part of You by @sowhumpshaped - I’ve been thinking about it a lot. About whether I could do it. At the end of the day, there’s really no other alternative. Gena is my responsibility, and I’ll do everything to keep her safe and fed. (undead whumpee, cannibalism, lab whump, gore/dismemberment, tragedy)

⚰️ Another Path (BG3 fanfic) by @asidian - Astarion has spent two hundred years waiting for a hero to come. It isn't the foolish sort of idle dreaming that one reads about in adventure tales, no – he doesn't moon about in picturesque arched windows, pressing his hand to his chest and sighing. But he does hope sometimes, furtive and distantly yearning, in the same way he still prays to gods who never listen, every now and again. Time to analyse some absolute piece of garbage again

So, this is the most intellectually dishonest sentence I've ever read in my life.

I remember freeing the nipple, I remember end period tax.... I don't remember the mixed-gender sports thing. Nah, I was around then, as a fully grown adult who was ON libfem/TRA tumblr.... and, uh, no one was talking about mixed-gender sports even back then. If they were, it really wasn't a big thing. I followed a lot of the big players on libfem tumblr back then and do not remember them mentioning it. Huh, sounds like you made that up, because 'free the nipple' and 'period tax' are very female issues, and it was all sounding a bit too female for you, so you had to slip in 'mixed-gender sports' for the rule of three and to put the idea in people's heads of something more than plain-old feminism.

the jump between the start of this and the end gives me such whiplash. First of all, the comment on jeopardy is just, wrong. completely wrong. not the damn argument at all. This is like men deliberately misunderstanding the whole 'sexist air conditioning' thing all over again - you're using classic mra rhetoric, by deliberately misinterpreting feminist arguments to make them sound ridiculous you're literally being anti-feminist.

Let's look at the actual argument - jeopardy questions (same with all gameshow questions) are a product of a patriarchal society that overvalues male interests (not innate ones! ones that men are already conditioned into liking!) and devalues female ones. like, this would have been part of feminism 101 back on the trans-inclusive libfem tumblr era, it's not exactly mind-blowing, it's just another aspect of how women are disadvantaged in society. And it's funny how this argument was chosen, because this is something you can do with absolutely zero bioessentialism: men and women are conditioned into different things because gender, man's things are given more value. boom, you don't even really need to consider bio sex to engage with it (although I, personally would recommend considering bio sex because otherwise you're left with the thorny issue of why and how these things happen), which is why similar discussions were happily taking place back on libfem/tra tumblr of old.

It's fascinating for me to watch this collage of rhetoric, misinterpretation, of taking 'I think coolsville sucks' on face value. This is designed to be persusasive but in actuality it says nothing. There is nothing to link those things, and the closest to a link we have is a deliberate misinterpretation of a feminist argument a la MRAs.

It's surreal, but it's designed to be, it's designed to dazzle you, to make you stupid for not seeing the obvious conclusion, to make you think 'ah shit the reason why nobody talks about these things anymore is because of transphobia!' when in real life, transgender politics has completely subsumed mainstream feminist discussion. Meanwhile, the feminists who are still talking about these issues are denigrated as transphobes as well. The irony here is palpable, and if you have to wonder if this rhetorical trick of 'nobody is talking about feminism anymore except the actual feminists, who are evil' is somewhat deliberate; it's become another avenue in which to blame women for their own problems, another way you can shame women and make them scared to speak up and then shame them for speaking up, like some sort of psychological terror campaign.

Fun fact: If you pass the persusasion check with Godey, you can point out that Cazador needs Astarion for the ritual, so him keeping the door locked to keep Astarion out makes no sense.

8. What project(s) are you currently working on?

My Shire Persusasion fic, for NaNoWriMo. I'm also planning to get back to The Leafless Winter once NaNo is over.

10. Is there a fic that got a different response than you were expecting?

I wasn't expecting God, I Pity the Violins to get much of a response at all! But it's got the most comments of any of my fics, and is in the top 5 for kudos.

14. If you could see one of your fics adapted into a visual medium, such as comic or film, which fan fic would you pick?

I think Under Cloud and Under Star. At the very least there's room for lots of sweeping landscape shots, as the characters are chased across half the continent.

          SHE HAD A FEELING,  that things would go a little sideways. especially when confronting this man. there were whispers about him, already spreading through the supernatural community. and strangely she had to commend him, especially for the way he didn't give a shit. and sure, normally she'd leave him be. but this specific culebra she was looking for, had taken what she needed. to finally rid the world of her father. a very intense talisman. and payne wanted it back. ( and she didn't care how bloody she got in the mean time !    ) with a strange sense of patience, that was far beyond her. she lets him rant and rave, idly picking at her acrylic nails. yet it's the shift in him, as he toys with the gun at his side. that has a wicked smirk, crossing over the half demons lips. with a light tilt of her head,     she calls the gun into her own hand, fingers wrapping around it lightly, as she rolls it between her fingers, hazel hues, looking up at him innocently. yet she was far from innocent.

          ❛   now now, let's play nicely shall we. hmm ...   ❜   shoving past him lightly, she walks into the room. and luckily grants him his privacy as she turns back to face him. not once letting her gaze wander as she settles into a chair. laying the gun down in front of her. allowing him to grab it again if he wished.
