it's so frustrating they don't take the necropolis as an opportunity to explore spirits with more depth in veilguard. or even Manfred's whole thing. Manfred being able to learn to speak implies that any wisp is capable of it with time. they have preferences and emotions and comprehend speech but you still shouldn't be concerned that they are used for slave labour in the necropolis. you're supposed to be horrified that Hezenkoss is abusing spirits but not at that. engaging with spirits as people introduces too much nuance to the situation and veilguard is absolutely incapable of dealing with it. otherwise they'd have to engage with why Solas wants to tear the veil down

What are you planning to do now? Genuine question. Need sliver of direction now.
Right now, I am going to call out of work, sit on my couch, noise canceling headphones in, phone off, dead to the world as I read nonfiction and theory that will hopefully bring me comfort.
At this point, if I see ANY opinion related to the topic at hand, whether it agrees with me or not, I'll get thrown into an angry meltdown. So I'm just going to hide away from the world for the next two days or so to help me process and calm down enough that I won't be sent into a flying rage at literally any opinion related to current events.
The most I can say without raging is simple: I think a lot of people are catastrophizing, misdirecting their anger, and forgetting who will be the most effected by these results. I think so many people are worried about being caught in the crossfire they forget who the target is.
I am also considering deleting the Tumblr app from my phone and completely turning social media into a "computer only" activity because I don't think having access to literally everyone's opinion at any given time on a device I already spend too much time on is healthy for me, especially after seeing how that device has effected other people after 10 years.
#I am going to be dead to the world for the next... while#i think the best thing anyone can do right now is step away from social media... hopefully forever but baby steps#just take the next couple of days off the internet and read books about it#ostrich yourself for a day or two to process your emotions before you say or do anything you'll regret#like. legit. put a ban on any major life changing choices for the next while#especially put a ban on purchasing anything so you don't try to comfort spend#and especially especially put a ban on social media so you don't take some random person's Twitter screenshot thread as fact and reblog it

miguel is going to stanford to major in education, with a plan to specifically focus on their exploratory courses regarding immigrant children whenever they're offered. he's relieved to stay in california even though it's a bit of a drive back to encino. they offer quite a few martial arts club sports which he wants to take full advantage of. he calls demetri as often as he can, both of them are going to some pretty prestigious schools so gotta keep those grades up, and he drives over to visit hawk as often as he can. sometimes he brings his homework with him, especially if it's deeper into the school year, so they can study and hold each other accountable. compare classes and freshman orientation experiences, surprise each other's moms by appearing on a facetime or phone call. he'll also have study sessions with sam, obviously. date night except it's taking advantage of the late hours in the library during finals week

Well, least about the getting approaching him too close. It was hard for Gohan to hold a grudge or truly hate someone — that list was surprisingly small compared to most. I've been cleaning up the room that will be my permanent workspace and found this
I bought it years ago and then ended up not having a good use for it. I think I will now, so maybe it wasn't such a waste to buy it after all
Day 2 of working from home!
This the first day of actually sleeping an extra hour, now that I don't have to get up for the internet installation.
The cats were very concerned. Idk who but one of them gave me a deep scratch on my neck trying to wake me up I assume.
