Your Birthday's Significance
Your birthday mark the day you were born (duh), but it's more than just a day we celebrate the day you were born. It marks the day you came into this world. As we know, in Astrology, we calculate our birth chart/ natal chart based on the exact moment you were born. It will ten create a map, with planets, asteroids, placements, and houses based on a rising, and specific degrees represents the specific placements of planets the minute you came into this world, and this detail makes you very unique. In this case, your birthday isn't just a celebration, it's also your personal new year. While humanity celebrate it as a group of individual on a certain date (depending on the culture), you as an individual will celebrate it on the day you were born. You are growing one year older, with one year full of new achievements and new events coming into your life. Let's see what can help you see those!

Your Solar Return Chart
જ⁀➴ Calculate your Solar Return here.
Free Horoscopes > Horoscopes Drawings & Data > Extended Chart Selection > Chart Type: Solar Return Chart
Your Solar Return Chart (SRC) is an Astrological tool that enables you to see what will most likely happen to you during your next year. As it is said, it is your Solar Return, so your Sun's return. Based on your natal sun, on the exact degree, SRC is calculated based on when the Sun will return on the same sign with the exact same degree. You'll see in each SRC, your Sun is in the same sign and degree as your Natal Sun. Only the house will change if you have different risings in your SRC over the years.
This means that each year, on your birthday, or the day before your birthday sometimes, you'll pass through another SRC, and have a view on what will most likely happen to you. You can also use this technique to check previous SRC and understand some life events better. Checking our SRC is a way to see that every years of our life, we achieve and change, and transform, as we are meant to evolve with time.

Annual Profections
જ⁀➴ Calculate your Annual Profections here.
Annual Profections are based also on Astrology, and mostly on our ages and houses. Basically, this tool explains that depending on which age (and so birthdays) we are, we embody a certain house that year. For example, when you will turn 25, you'll embody the 2H more. It usually means you'll probably be more focus on savings, money, perhaps making more money this year, or also changing the way you manage your money, etc. Each House has a different meaning. Of course, this doesn't mean you will need to wait to be on a certain house to do something. It just means as an individual, those houses will represent your more intern focus. And it may actually go naturally, without you need to force anything. Life is most likely to put you through certain transformations based on the houses' themes.

Numerology's Personal Year
This isn't a subject I know very well, I just have some base. So if you are interested in it, I suggest checking more on Tumblr or the Internet. An account that has more knowledge is @lilithsrealm. I suggest checking their account!
Numerology is a great tool too to check on your birthday. Just as with SRC and Annual Profections, Numerology can also tell you in what phase you'll enter this "new year". You'll need to take your birth day, birth month, and the current year of your birthday, add all of those numbers together, and then get a number that will be the total of all of those, and this will be your personal year number!
Example: I was born on August 6th, so 8 / 6. And this is the year 2024. So I'll calculate 8 + 6 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 4. All together this makes 22, so it's my personal year number this year. So, specific case, but 22 is a master number, so in this case we don't really add it together again. But if you end up with any other number than 10/ 11/ 22 or 33, then you add it together. Even if mine is 22, the 4 energy will still be there, but 22 is important. I say 4 because 2+2=4 (lol).
Every year, on your birthday, your personal year number change, indicating you'll go through another cycle of your life. Each numbers mean something specific, so I suggest making more researches after finding out yours!
Tumblr media
Destiny Matrix
જ⁀➴ Calculate your Destiny Matrix Chart here.
જ⁀➴ Destiny Matrix Romance Numbers
Destiny Matrix is an Esoteric tool that explores the 22 Arcana's of the Tarot to see a different approach of yourself and your life, as a Chart, similar to Astrology. It's a tool that also enable you to develop your full potential as an individual. Numbers and Chakras are used instead of signs, houses and degrees. Numbers on the Chart will go from 1 to 22, representing each Tarot's 22 Major Arcanas. Colored Numbers are your main energies, they are also great tools to understand your true potential and why you came into this life, but also past life, desires, and your soul's purpose. On each sides of the chart, you'll see your different ages, representing different eras of your life. And above those different ages, you'll see a number, between 1 to 22.
Different ages then represent different birthdays. And the numbers above those age represents the different energies, based on the Tarot's Major Arcanas. It will represent the energy of those specific years, and not only in a specific area, but as a whole. For example, I have 8 this year, so this can represent entering legal matters with someone, for example, a wedding, or a contract with a society. It can also mean being more mature and taking more responsible choices. It's also closing a karmic cycle, etc.

Astrology Disciplines
Natal Astrology - Focuses on the natal/birth chart as it describes your life unfolding. While this can dip into predictive astrology this isn't a requirement. Some astrologers (like me!) may primarily focus on one's personality and environment that the natal chart describes vs. predicting events. Natal Astrology is also used to guide people in relationships and career.
Predictive Astrology - This discipline usually combines natal charts with current astrological positions and/or other chart types to predict the future. Horoscopes and analyzing the current day-to-day movements of planets is part of this practice. While secondary progressions are typically an introspective area of astrology, they may be used here for personal predictions.
Counseling Astrology - Historically there have been many counselors or therapists that combine their skills with astrology. Currently many therapists or counselors are likely to condemn the use of astrology in the field. But it is worth notating that this is a type of astrological discipline that has existed and played a major role in shaping modern astrology. e.g. Carl Jung.
Synastry - This branch of astrology is used to analyze relationships. The famous synastry chart would be used here along with composite charts. Technically comparing two natal charts for chemistry and compatibility would fall under this type of astrology. This could be debated among astrologers, but you can find books/text that group any type of relationship readings under the "synastry" discipline. (My other specialty 😊)
Medical Astrology - A type of astrology that typically uses the natal chart along with astrological medical associations to conduct a reading. The humours, Sun Sign, planetary ruler, chart ruler, and elemental balance play a large role here. The 6th House is important as well. Medical astrologers typically approach health holistically and usually prescribe appropriate herbs or homeopathic remedies. Because I never want to mislead someone medically or scientifically, please research and approach this style of astrology with caution.
Karmic Astrology - Many different types of charts may be used here depending on the astrologer and client's goals. Here astrology is focused on dealing with struggles of the present based on a past life. This type of astrology is used to help people stop negative patterns or cycles. Many also use this type of astrology to connect with their spiritual selves or to incorporate spiritualism into their lives. Natal Charts, Relationship Charts, Secondary Progressions, and Draconic Charts may all be used. Some astrologers may also incorporate other spiritual methods into their practice such as tarot, dice, runes, etc.
Horary Astrology - These astrologers deal in specific questions such as "Should I move?", "Should I adopt a new pet?", "Should I make a career change?". This is a mixture of predictive astrology and advice. A chart is usually prepared for the exact time the question was asked. This form of astrology focuses on current astrological positions and has a unique set of rules due to its immediate nature.
Electional Astrology/Event Astrology - This type of astrology is used to help predict when one should start an event. This type of astrology is highly focused on the timing of something. Common uses of this are to plan a trip or wedding. Historically planning an attack or battle falls under this type of astrology. An Entrepeneur might use this type of astrology to find the best time to start a business or launch a product. This type of astrology may use or reference the natal chart and depends greatly on current astrological placements and tracking future dates and celestial movements.
Mundane Astrology - This discipline focuses on world events, politics, and socioeconomic trends. This form of astrology has its own unique set of rules and multiple methods. Charts may be drawn up for people, nations, cities, groups, organizations, and many more elements depending on the subject. This form of astrology may take a lot of analysis across multiple charts and reports.
Business Astrology - The practice of making business decisions based on astrological advice. Some astrologers may consult business owners using multiple methods that can cross over to the other disciplines. Finances, investments, and relationship building are all themes for this type of astrology, but the core focus is to guide and grow a business.

Astrology: A Detailed Exploration of Its Principles and Mechanisms
Astrology is a belief system that posits a connection between the positions and movements of celestial bodies—such as planets, stars, and the Moon—and events and characteristics on Earth. Its practitioners, known as astrologers, use celestial observations to provide insights into individual personalities, predict future events, and offer guidance on various aspects of life. Despite its long history and widespread popularity, astrology remains controversial and is often criticized by the scientific community for lacking empirical support.
Tumblr media
Core Principles of Astrology
Celestial Influence: At the heart of astrology is the idea that the positions and movements of celestial bodies affect human affairs and natural phenomena. This influence is thought to be exerted through gravitational, magnetic, or symbolic means.
Zodiac Signs: The zodiac is a belt of the sky divided into twelve segments, each named after a constellation that lies within its bounds. These signs are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. Each sign is associated with specific personality traits and tendencies.
Houses: The astrological chart is divided into twelve houses, each representing different areas of life, such as career, relationships, and health. The positions of planets within these houses are believed to influence various aspects of an individual’s life.
Aspects: Aspects are angles formed between planets in the astrological chart. These angles are classified as harmonious (e.g., trines and sextiles) or challenging (e.g., squares and oppositions) and are thought to describe how different planetary energies interact and influence each other.
Horoscopes: A horoscope is a detailed chart created for a specific time and place, showing the positions of celestial bodies. It is used to interpret astrological influences and provide personalized insights. There are several types of horoscopes, including natal (birth), transits (current planetary movements), and progressions (symbolic advancement of the natal chart).
How Astrology Works
Creating an Astrological Chart: The process begins by generating an astrological chart or horoscope, which requires precise information about the individual's birth—date, time, and location. This data is used to calculate the positions of the Sun, Moon, and planets relative to the twelve zodiac signs and houses.
Interpreting the Chart: Astrologers analyze the chart by looking at the following elements:
Sun Sign: The zodiac sign where the Sun was positioned at the time of birth. It is often considered the core of one's personality.
Moon Sign: The zodiac sign where the Moon was positioned, reflecting emotional nature and inner self.
Ascendant (Rising Sign): The sign rising on the eastern horizon at the time of birth. It influences outward behavior and first impressions.
Planetary Positions: The positions of planets like Mercury, Venus, Mars, etc., in relation to the zodiac signs and houses.
Aspects: The geometric angles between planets that indicate how their energies interact.
3. Personal Characteristics and Predictions: Astrologers interpret the positions and aspects to describe an individual's traits, potential strengths, challenges, and life path. They also use the chart to forecast future events, by analyzing current planetary transits and progressions in relation to the natal chart.
Astrology and Its Variations
Western Astrology: This form, rooted in Hellenistic traditions and developed in Europe, is the most commonly practiced in the Western world. It includes several branches such as psychological astrology, which focuses on personality and personal growth, and mundane astrology, which concerns world events and politics.
Vedic (Indian) Astrology: Also known as Jyotish, this system has roots in ancient Indian texts and differs from Western astrology in its use of the sidereal zodiac, which is based on the actual positions of constellations. Vedic astrology emphasizes karma and dharma and uses different techniques, such as the divisional charts, to offer insights.
Chinese Astrology: Based on a lunar calendar and the Chinese zodiac, this system divides the year into twelve animal signs (Rat, Ox, Tiger, etc.) and incorporates elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) to provide a comprehensive view of personality and fate.
Evolutionary Astrology: This modern approach combines traditional techniques with a focus on spiritual growth and evolution. It interprets planetary positions in terms of past-life experiences and soul development.
Criticism and Contemporary Relevance
Astrology has faced significant criticism, primarily due to its lack of empirical evidence and scientific validation. Critics argue that the principles of astrology are based on outdated astronomical concepts and rely on vague interpretations that lack rigorous testing.
Despite this, astrology maintains a broad following and is valued by many for its symbolic and introspective qualities. It offers a framework for self-reflection and understanding, helping individuals explore their inner lives and navigate personal challenges.
In summary, astrology is a rich and diverse system with deep historical roots and complex methodologies. While it is not scientifically validated, its enduring appeal reflects its capacity to provide meaning and insight in the context of human experience.

Lesson One- Sun Signs for Beginners
Sun Sign
Welcome new astrologist! I’m so happy you’re taking this first step into learning astrology, and I’m here to help- every step of the way. Now, I’m sure that if you’re here you’ve heard of the zodiac in some way, shape, or form. Maybe you’ve seen the symbols, or people rocking some gear related to their zodiac sign, and that led to me.
So to begin this little lesson, there are twelve zodiac signs (take a peek and find yours if you don’t know!):
-♈Aries (March 21st- April 19th)
-♉Taurus (April 20th- May 20th)
-♊Gemini (May 21st- June 21st)
-♋Cancer (June 22nd - July 22nd)
-♌Leo (July 23rd - August 22nd)
-♍Virgo (August 23rd- September 22nd)
-♎Libra (September 23 - October 23rd)
-♏Scorpio (October 24th - November 21st)
-♐Sagittarius (November 22nd - December 21st)
-♑Capricorn (December 22nd - January 19th)
-♒Aquarius (January 20th - February 18th)
-♓Pisces (February 19th - March 20th)
All of these signs are constellations resting on the ecliptic plane in space. Throughout the year, the planetary bodies (including the sun) pass through the different signs. This is what gives us our birth chart, and to boot our personalities. As the date, time, and location of your birth- wherever the planets rest is what helps to determine your personality (traditionally speaking).
The dates you currently see aligned with the zodiac all correspond with our sun signs.
The sun travels through the signs through that time frame every single year, and it’s by far the easiest thing to track. This is why most basic horoscopes only include your sun sign.
Your sun sign is the most basic part of your personality. The sun corresponds with your truest, inner, self. The things you want the most, who you feel you are.
Now gets to the fun part: learning about this aspect of your personality!
The Zodiac through the Sun
An important thing to note is that these signs do all have their own associations and feelings behind them. I will break down the signs independently of the lens of a planet in another post, but for now- we get to get into the meat of the matter.
“What does my sign being in the sun say about me?”
Great question. I have an answer!
So strap in to your seats, cause we’re about to take the scenic route. My recommendation is to read them all, not just your own sign. As this will help with translating other parts of your birth chart later on, and you’ll be able to help walk others through their own as well!
♈Aries- The Ram (March 21st- April 19th)
When I was talking about how the sun is the most basic form of who you are and what you want. Aries took that personally. Aries is a fire sign and it feels comfortable in the sun (though not as at home as Leo- more on that later). Aries is a very impulsive sign, they see something they want and they go out and get it- though unfortunately, sometimes they fizzle out before getting there. They’re the fireworks you set off in your backyard, the first campfire of summer, and the gun going off at the race track. They leave an impact and mean it. They are the kick off to new beginnings, just like the season they start.
♉Taurus- The Bull (April 20th- May 20th)
I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “Stubborn as a bull” at some point in your life, and that is completely true for those who find that they have their sun sign in Taurus. Taurus is one who prefers to be comfortable, and they find that comfort in the finer things of life. They are the connoisseurs of the zodiac. They enjoy feeling, tasting, and seeing the finer things in life, preferably from somewhere where they are comfortable. Taurus is the cherry blossoms in spring, they are the fresh vegetables eaten, and they are the smell of the April showers. Taurus is the feeling when you come home after a long day, and you feel safe.
♊Gemini- The Twins (May 21st- June 21st)
The twins, one doing the listening, the other doing the yapping- Gemini eats information for breakfast and then tends to spew it out just as quickly. They are so communicative it can make your head spin and start seeing double.  They are fairly flighty, and are incredibly adaptable (even to their detriment) sometimes giving the impression that they might not be who they say they are. Gemini is the cool spring breeze with the promise of summer, the dandelion fuzz in the wind, and the buzz of lively conversation. Gemini is that breath of fresh spring air you didn’t know you were missing, with the promise of warmer days to come.
♋Cancer- The Crab (June 22nd - July 22nd)
To celebrate the kickoff of summer, and a quarter way through the year we have Cancer, the most nurturing sign of the zodiac. Their depth of emotion runs as deep as the ocean, and maybe twice as wide- with the unpredictability of the waves matching their emotions. Oftentimes, like their crab counterpart, they will put up a shell exterior to try to keep themselves from getting hurt. They are the still lake painted with the colors of the sunset, the ocean on a rainy day, and the puddles you splash in. Cancer is home, in many ways, it’s where you're your best and your worst- and being loved despite it all.
♌Leo- The Lion (July 23rd - August 22nd)
Leo is right at home in the sun, the sun being Leo’s guiding planet. Leo’s tend to want to feel important. This can lead down many different roads, with Leo’s being depicted as conceited or top dog most of the time. However, Leo usually wants people to feel good and they want recognition for that. They are the biggest dreamers of the zodiac and passionate in all that they do. Leo is the bonfire, the fireworks on the Fourth of July, they are the canon in the 1812 Overture composed by Tchaikovsky. They are large and in charge, the beauty, and the power- ensuring all are taken care of in their mighty reign.
♍Virgo- The Maiden (August 23rd- September 22nd)
I’m sure, especially if you’re in the astrology space already, that you have heard Virgo as being depicted as OCD, everything has its place, control freaks. While that’s true to some degree, it is completely over exaggerated. Virgo is hard working, and patient. They put a lot of care into what they do so to see it squandered- sucks. Virgo’s want to do their best in any area they find themselves in, so much so that the fear of doing poorly might scare them away from doing something they enjoy. Virgo is tending your garden, the effort of preparing a meal, and the joy you feel when you see your masterpiece coming to life.
♎Libra- The Scales (September 23 - October 23rd)
There is balance in everything, and Libra is the balance. Sociable, admirable, and easily approachable are three great ways to describe a Libra. Indecisive to a fault, always trying to find the middle ground, and being a bit of a doormat is also descriptive of Libra. Always walking the middle ground and never putting your foot down can be a detriment and a benefit. It all depends how you look at it. Libra is the hot humid air of summer saying good-bye to crisp Autumn winds, the warm scent of apple pie, and the quiet of a library. Libra is the breath you didn’t know you were holding, and the relief that comes with exhaling.
♏Scorpio- The Scorpion (October 24th - November 21st)
Scorpio- the darkest sign of the zodiac (read scary), is how they are portrayed. Usually dark, mysterious, obsessive over the darker things in life. That typically falls in line where their zodiac lands at this point in the year. However, Scorpio’s are just as sensitive as the rest of their water sign counterparts, they just have a much easier time hiding it. They want true real power, and they want to acquire it- oftentimes working behind the scenes, the director of the play so to speak. They are one of the most willful of the zodiacs, and have a strong head on their shoulders. They are the cloud covered full moon, the trenches of the ocean, and the peaceful nights that the autumn brings.
♐Sagittarius- The Archer (November 22nd - December 21st)
Like the arrows the archer so lovingly shoots that's where Sagittarius will go. They feel at home in the sun as well (similar to Aries), and can feel more energized in this sign. They tend to walk an exciting path in life, and can be considered restless. They are relatively easy going, but almost to a fault as no one can seem to pin down where their next adventures lead them. Sagittarius is the smoke of a wildfire, the lights of a new city, and the heat of a hot spring. Sagittarius works their way into your bones in a way you never thought possible, taking you with them on the road less traveled.
♑Capricorn- The Goat (December 22nd - January 19th)
Welcome to winter, and Capricorn is already at the door to greet you. Capricorn is all about striving to get to the end goal and ensuring to take their time to find something worthwhile. Capricorns have their feet in the dirt, making their ambition a reality. Sometimes to their detriment, they can be so laser focused that they can forget what’s going on around them. They are the applause after a large project, the recognition of seeing how far you’ve come, and reaping the fruits of your labor. To be a Capricorn, is to be the stability of a goat clinging to the mountain side, and knowing exactly where you will place your next step.
♒Aquarius- The Water Bearer (January 20th - February 18th)
Aquarius, you are in a detriment in this sign. The sun was not meant for you. Which is why you are the quirkiest sign of the zodiac. This isn’t always a bad thing. Aquarius has the will to walk to the beat of their own drum, and likes it better that way. However, this means that you aren’t everyone's favorite cup of tea. Some find your eccentric behavior to be off putting. Aquarius is the blinding white of a blizzard, the negative chill in the air, and the serene peace of a cold winter’s night. They are the fog on your window in the morning, crystallized with the first sun's rays, before they melt, never to be seen the same again.
♓Pisces- The Fish (February 19th - March 20th)
Pisces you are a jellyfish, my friend. The current takes you to where you end up. Pisces is often considered a fairly spaced out sign, lost in their own daydreams. But like their water sign trio, they are compassionate and caring. The most empathetic sign in the zodiac, leaves a deep need to care for others on an emotional level. In all honesty Pisces might take the words tortured poets department just a little too seriously, finding their empathy and passions through their own sadness. Pisces is the tears you cry when your emotions feel too big for this world, the comfort of being wrapped in a big blanket, and the sweetness that comes with a first love.
There it is the twelve zodiacs in the sun in their most basic broken down form through the lens of the sun. Stay tuned in for each of the twelve signs broken down further in their most basic forms without a lens, and the upcoming post for Moon signs.
Stay groovy, and I’ll see you on the other side.

Nico Di Angelo x Son of Hecate ☾
Pairing(s): Nico Di Angelo x M!Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nico was certainly a new face in the crowd but you never really ever interacted with him.
That is, until you’re forced into a mini adventure with him on part of the seven
It’d be a lie to say that you didn’t even have an ounce of attraction to him but that stayed unsaid
Of course after that favor for your mutual friends your path just… faded i guess
You only ever saw him around camp and you’d often steal a glance
Which you weren’t aware of at the time, but he was too
It’d probably be weeks maybe months later that you ran into him again, this time he had only approached you to ask you something .
That something being your necromancy and umbrakinesis ability
It started off with him approaching you at the campfire, the pavilion, then just from then on
I mean because of how often he’d approach you, ever curious on your powers, the two of you got close
Sitting next to each other or just being seen together became common
Still didn’t stop other campers from talking 👀
If anything, you’d just discuss abilities and compare but eventually conversations got off topic-
More personal.
It wasn’t until a camp bonfire after a particular capture the flag that you had noticed Nico not there
It didn’t take you long to find him but once you did you sat next to him, oddly enough he was by the lake
The two of you sat there and to be completely honest, it felt like forever but with the loud silence you chose to speak
You confessed your feelings
You always knew you would eventually , might as well blurt them out now
You saw an expression never worn by Nico before, and that was one of shock
He was genuinely shocked and all he could do was nod his head in agreement
Thus, how you confessed your feelings to one another has ended now let’s speak on the actual relationship
You, a mysterious witchy silent person (atleast how others perceive you)
And Nico, again, mysterious silent and emo (?)
Well I’m trying to say it wasn’t much of a surprise that you two began dating
Once the news spread (which would’ve been later since you’re both very private) everyone was either, not surprised since you both acted like it
Or absolutely shocked because of how mysterious you two were
No in between
As your relationship progresses acts of physical affection become the norm and aren’t foreign anymore
So once you introduced Nico to your cabin (I hc the Hecate cabin as having few residents) it was a relief to have it to yourselves
Lou was not at camp this time around, and luckily, neither was any of your siblings
Many people were afraid to get close to the Hecate cabin if the outer was being disturbed, I mean no one wants to get Thalia’d but surprisingly Nico didn’t mind
Once you entered the entire theme of the Hecate cabin, if anything, encouraged Nico to ask questions
I mean, you two got along so well, probably because of how similar your powers were or
Yknow what? Who cares
All that was on your mind was the fact that Nico was icy cold (which was normal but still)
You caught Nico’s attention once more when you began speaking in Ancient Greek
Only did it dawn on him that you were muttering a heating spell
He always refused to use that spell (you always told yourself that it’s cuz he wanted to hold you and soak in your body heat, which was probably you just being delusional 🫠)
Regardless, the night goes without a hitch and you two get closer than ever
Now, Nico is aware of a lot of disturbing things beyond death
But for some reason, you asking if you can read his palm/ try and get his birth chart, disturbs him even more
Luckily if you’re not wildy crazy then he’ll go along without a bother
(If u beg then he’ll say no a few times just to let ask after a few more times as if his first “no” wasn’t his version of yes)
Anyway
If you find out your horoscopes or something match up (idk how these things work 😓) you decide to be a little prankster and say sum shit like “we were written in the stars”
Of course Nico thinks this is so horribly cringe but he smiles regardless
Plus he has to endlessly deal with your bs
Especially when he walks into your cabin and sees you making a concoction of sorts w ur cauldron
Yea sometimes he questions why he even dated you
He thinks this as if he wasn’t cuddled up to you like a kitten the night before 😿
-
I love this req because I, myself, am a Hecate kid 😼

The Origins Of Horoscopes 🔮
as an astrologer who has been mesmerized by the cosmos for 10 years, i have come to have an honest disagreeance for horoscopes. although those whimsical columns are what naturally gravitated me to the world of astrology, it is a shame that horoscopes are what seems to come to the average person's mind when they think of the zodiac. it is our personal belief that the fantastical nature of horoscopes overshadow the beauty of astrology. but this made us wonder.... where did horoscopes come from? continue on to learn about, the origins of horoscopes.
Tumblr media
Ancient Times
🔮 The Silk Roads: The earliest evidence of horoscopes date back to the 3rd millennium BCE in Mesopotamia.
🔮 Astrology was adopted on the trading routes of The Silk Roads during the Tang Dynasty (705-907 CE).
🔮 Along these trading routes, traders would sell horoscopes as a service to different regions such as Central Asia, the Iranian Plateau, & China.
🔮 China became very fond of horoscopes during this time & adopted them into the framework of Chinese astrology today.
🔮 Chinese horoscopes at this time were derived from the Hellenistic Period of Ancient Greece.
🔮 During this time, it became Chinese tradition that newborn Chinese babies would be given a horoscope upon birth & then throughout pivotal moments in their lives.
🔮 One of the most important astrologers of this time, Abu Ma'shar (8/10/787- 3/9/886), wrote a book called “Book Of Thousands”.
🔮 “Book Of Thousands” (written in 850)
🔮 The book did not survive to today. Remaining fragments show us that the book was a chronology of world history (from Christian, Persian, & Islamic sources) that intended to connect past, present, & future events to the stars. 🔮 The remaining fragments of the book were collected by David Pingree in 1968 & can be found on select scholarly sources online today.
🔮 Astrology became very popular in Medieval Central Asia.
🔮 It was during this time that two types of astrology formed; mathematically-based astrology (what we astrologers go by) & the magical form of astrology (AKA: horoscopes).
The 20th & 21st Century
🔮 Prominent British astrologer, R.H. Naylor (6/9/1889- 1952), was hired by the Sunday Express (a London-based newspaper) to write a horoscope article.
🔮 Naylor was an assistant to the leading British astrologer of the time called Cheiro. 🔮 Cheiro was sought out by many celebrities of the time for his brilliant astrology services to read their natal charts. He was known to have read the palms of such significant figures such as Mark Twain, Grover Cleveland, & Winston Churchill.
🔮 The article was about the birth of Princess Margaret, born August 21, 1930. (a leo beauty)
🔮 The newspaper decided to run a few more articles. In one of the next articles, Naylor predicted that “a British aircraft will be in danger” between October 8th and 15th. On October 5th, British airship R101 crashed outside Paris with 48 of the 54 on board the plane passing away.
🔮 The population became amazed with the incredible prediction Naylor made. The editor then offered Naylor a weekly column & “What The Stars Foretell”, the first ever horoscope column in human history, was born.
🔮 "What The Stars Foretell”
🔮 The column started as advice for people whose birthday fell on each specific week the newspaper article was published. 🔮 By 1937, the article became more grandiose & spoke of “star signs” to relate to a wider audience. 🔮 This was the creation of the term “star signs”.
🔮 From there on, the world caught on to the eye-catching spells of horoscopes & publications from all over the world began to replicate what Naylor created. This is why historically, horoscopes are written by writers assigned to the task of creating a spellbinding horoscope piece & not astrologers.
Well folks, there you have it. Although the roots of horoscopes share soil with the beautiful creation of astrology, they became more of an object of purchase than the art that astrology truly is. I do believe if horoscopes were intended on sharing truth & not appealing to the masses as a means to sell a product, they would hold value to humanity. But in all honesty, if horoscopes remain to just be a tool to spellbind their readers & curate them into consumers, then they hold no good intention to the art of astrology we are so passionate about.
Thank you so much for reading! I appreciate our lil astrology community so much & hope you learned something from this lil trip down astrology lane. 😊

Back in December, re-reading some of Omega Red's older appearances, I started wondering about the name the Soul Skinner calls him here in this panel of X-Men 18:
Tumblr media
Vasyliev Arkady. His human name has been given alternatively as Arkady Grigorievich or Arkady Rossovich, but Russian names have three parts, not just two: Given Name, Patronymic, and Family Name. Technically, Grigorievich/Rossovich would not be equivalent to his last name. EDIT: I wasn't able to resolve the mystery of why the Soul Skinner would call Arkady "Vasyliev" Arkady. The closest I could figure out was that it might actually be Arkady's surname (third name), since it can be either a patronymic or a surname. It might also have been meant as an insult, since calling someone only by their surname is how inferiors were traditionally referred to, or how a teacher might address a student, or ironically as in some modern usage.
Which then led me to wondering how his first name would have been chosen?
Russian first names are, or often were, chosen from Greek Orthodox tradition or pre-Christian Slavic names. Arkady is from the Greek "Arcadia" and there was a Russian saint in the Greek Orthodox Church, Arkady or Arkadios of Novotorsk from the 1600s whose saint's days are June 11th, July 11th, and August 14th.
Now I started to get curious about what kind of natal horoscope would Arkady Grigorievich/Rossovich have?
Buckle in with your drinks and snacks, because this is going to be a bit of a ride...!
Given that his first appearance was in 1992 and it's been stated several times he was in cryogenic stasis for 30 years; that Wolverine stated his team's operation to sabotage Omega Red's program was in the early 1960s; and that Arkady would have likely been in his early-to mid 20s at the oldest the time (likely entered military service at 18 if not earlier - this wasn't uncommon back before networked records, and his abilities would have likely been discovered pretty soon thereafter) gave me a rough likely timeframe of 1936-1943ish to consider for his birth year.
Western astrology doesn't give much importance to, or assign characteristics to, the year of birth, but Chinese/Eastern astrology does. Here's the breakout of the animal zodiac signs for each year in that range:
Tumblr media
There's a lot of background I'm going to skip over here for the sake of brevity in what's already a long post, but from a thematic point as well as a likely age point, having a heavenly branch element of metal makes a certain amount of sense, not to mention the personality and characteristics usually ascribed to Dragon or Snake.
This was really a tough call, because with all the force of his personality, you might initially think Yang Metal Dragon is the logical choice for birth year. Both Metal Dragon and Metal Snake are ascribed similar traits of unyielding strength and resolve, really a lot similar between both of them for Arkady's observed traits. What really clinched it for me as his most likely birth year (again, following astrology's ascribed characteristics purely for fun) was the nature of Yin Metal Snakes being described as emotionally distant, suspicious, and absolutely undying in either loyalty or hatred for betrayal. THAT sounds like Omega Red to a T!
So 1941, likely in June, July, or August. Let's turn back to the Western zodiac for his sun sign - those mid-month dates give us the likely choices of Gemini, Cancer, or Leo:
Gemini
Flexibility, balance and adaptability describe the Gemini personality. Their responses can be difficult to predict and they may be prone to mood swings, but they can also be generous, affectionate and imaginative.
Cancer
Cancer people are traditionalists, loving a simple home life. They will usually be composed, but that hides a turmoil of moods going on under the surface. They are easily hurt and can be prone to depression, but they are loyal, sympathetic friends and carers.
Leo
Leo people are exuberant and powerful. Born leaders, they won’t hesitate to let you know what they think and that they are right. Which they usually are. They can be brave and intuitive, but may come across as pushy and overbearing. Their bossiness often hides a sensitive soul and an underlying insecurity.
Oh, our boy is HELLA a Leo, then. Hands down, no question!
So in combination with his official biography on Marvel.com giving his birthplace as Novorossiysk, with an assumed birthdate of August 14th, 1941, and after a little adjusting time of birth for rising sign, his natal chart looks like this, courtesy of Astrolabe:
Tumblr media
Rising Sign is in 15 Degrees Scorpio
You tend to be quiet, reserved, secretive and, at times, quite difficult to understand. Others notice your deep emotions and feelings and wonder how to draw you out. Stubborn and tough, you fight for any position you believe in. You are very resourceful and formidable when you become angered or upset about something. You enjoy living life at the cutting edge -- for you life must be experienced intensely and totally. Quite courageous, you are willing to take calculated risks. Easily hurt by others, you often strike back with bitter sarcasm. Sensitive and curious, you are concerned with the deeper mysteries of human psychology. Once you have become interested in any subject, you pursue it with total fanaticism.
Sun is in 21 Degrees Leo
More than a bit of a showoff, you love to be the center of attention! But others do not usually mind because they tend to enjoy your genuine warmth and affection. Very spirited and willful, proud and self-important at times, you demand your own way. You are quite honest, however, and the respect of others is very important to you. You never compromise yourself and you pursue your goals with persistence and dedication. Your regal presence and demeanor draws you to positions of leadership and authority. But beware of being overly hardheaded, domineering, ostentatious or patronizing or you will lose the goodwill and admiration that you enjoy. Very theatrical, you live life on a grand scale wherever and whenever possible. Your strength and energy vitalizes those who come in contact with you.
Moon is in 14 Degrees Taurus
Warmth, comfort, security and familiar surroundings are necessary for you to feel at ease. Very loving and affectionate, you prefer a steady, patterned way of life. Patient, calm and steadfast, you are not easily upset. Others look to you for support. You tend to be a slow starter and a slow mover -- others may try to rush you, but they will never succeed. Emotionally, you are quite stubborn -- your attitudes about people and things were firmly set in your youth and will change very little as an adult. You are also very cautious and conservative about spending money. It is not that you are selfish, you just need to feel secure. Beware of a tendency to become overly complacent and too self-satisfied.
Mercury is in 16 Degrees Leo
You are usually quite convinced that your own ideas are correct and you enjoy persuading others that they are. At times, you are very stubborn and proud of your beliefs and principles, and you get very defensive when they are challenged. You appreciate truth and honesty -- you practice it yourself and expect it in others. You have good talent for organizing, directing and planning. You delight in being asked for your advice and counsel.
Venus is in 22 Degrees Virgo
You express your love and affection through selfless service to people or causes. You have a tendency to underestimate yourself and doubt your self-worth. This is very demeaning and should be avoided -- learn to love yourself as well as you do others. Your standards of perfection are very high -- you are attracted to relationships based on duty and responsibility. You are supercritical of yourself and others and, at times, prefer to be alone rather than deal with any imperfections in yourself or in those with whom you might relate.
Mars is in 20 Degrees Aries
You are very independent and self-assertive, and you have lots of physical energy. You are not satisfied unless you can be the first to do something. As such, you are more comfortable in leadership positions than you are as an underling. When you are challenged by anyone for anything, you delight in the competitive process and will fight long and hard for your beliefs. You are bold and courageous and often act without thinking. At times, in your zeal to get ahead, you are tactless and offensive -- learn that cooperation with others can often bring you nearer to your goals quicker because of the support you will get.
Jupiter is in 16 Degrees Gemini
You have a logical, detached, objective view of most things. Your interests are wide-ranging and you are an avid student, with expertise in many different areas. You love to work things out in your mind -- everything you do is reduced to an exercise in logic and reason. You have the ability to grasp abstractions and to deal successfully with the larger issues of life. Your overemphasis on developing your powerful intellect can cause your emotional and intuitive abilities to atrophy unless you consciously choose to exercise them.
Saturn is in 27 Degrees Taurus
Complete freedom of choice makes you ill at ease. You must have a firm, ordered, secure foundation in your life in order to feel comfortable. You do not adapt easily and tend to fear the new and untried. You constantly fear that you do not have enough (love, property, material things, etc.) and this makes you tend toward being selfish, withdrawn and stingy. If you try to surround yourself with supportive people in your environment, you will become more emotionally self-supporting.
Uranus is in 00 Degrees Gemini
You, and your peer group as well, are attracted to new, unusual and revolutionary thoughts, ideas and lifestyles. You prefer abstract, idealistic solutions to practical, immediately useful answers. You delight in communications, the mass media, electronics, computers and all sorts of gadgetry.
Neptune is in 26 Degrees Virgo
You, and your entire generation, idealize work, duty and responsibility. You tend to be very fearful of anything that would force you out of the protective shell of your everyday routines. You place a high premium on personal pride in productivity and craftsmanship. But in your search for perfection in minor details, you sometimes lose track of the overall purpose of life.
Pluto is in 04 Degrees Leo
For your entire generation, this is a time when the relationship of the individual to society as a whole is being thoroughly re-examined. Major attempts will be made to find a balance between the need to be self-sufficient and the need to honor debts of social commitment.
Happy birthday (maybe?) Omega Red/Arkady Rossovich!
N. Node is in 23 Degrees Virgo
You're usually quite at ease in leaving leadership roles in the hands of others. You would rather tend to the thousand and one details that need to be accomplished to keep any group going. Although you're very fussy and high-minded when it comes to choosing your associates, once your loyalty is given you can be trusted with many of the practical aspects of any project that is being undertaken. Usually quite unselfish, you will toil long hours in the service of any worthy cause that demands your attention. But be careful that your perfectionist tendencies don't get in the way of making real progress. (In other words, don't waste your time dusting clean shelves!)
If you made it all the way to the end of this post, thanks for reading! This was a real labor of love for one of my favorite characters in any fandom, I hope you enjoyed the journey.

Can you do the following prompts for Haikyuu!!
H: trusts their horoscope the most.
K: is the most skilled in the kitchen.
T: is the most terrifying.
Z: gets the most overzealous over something others wouldn't expect.
C
Of course I can, my dear! Because Haikyuu!! has such a humungous cast, this one was really hard. It would’ve been impossible to narrow down to one particular character for these letters, so I kind of just chose four teams, one for each letter
H: Trusts their horoscope the most
From Karasuno, I think Yachi, Nishinoya, and Yamaguchi all read their horoscopes on the regular. However, I think Yachi is the one who puts the most stock in their horoscope. Not only does she read her daily horoscope and plan accordingly, but at the start of the year, she reads her yearly horoscopes for general life, for love, for work, and for friendship and she actively takes notes and plans for what the months are said to bring for her. She studies information on all the zodiac signs, all the animals of the Chinese zodiac, on what each of the houses mean. She’s going to spend actual money on a personalized birth chart and will sit down with the person to go over it and she’s likely to become even more convinced of the truth of horoscopes whenever she hears anything even vaguely resembling herself, no matter how generic it is. She enjoys simple, understated jewelry with her zodiac symbol on it, like a tiny necklace or something.
K: Is the most skilled in the kitchen
From Nekoma, I do think there are several members who can cook at least simple meals. They won’t starve if there’s no one there to make food for them. Those members are Kuroo, Kenma, Kai, and Shibayama. Each one of them has their specialties and it really depends on what you’re looking to eat on who you would view as the most skilled. Kuroo, for example, makes excellent fish dishes. The fish, when he prepares it, is always soft, flaky, and savoury. Kenma makes simple dishes like chazuke, but somehow when he makes them, the flavours are superb and above-average. Kai specializes in meat and potato dishes but he also makes an absolutely stunning curry. Shibayama, meanwhile, is the best baker out of the team.
T: Is the most terrifying
When it comes to Aoba Johsai, a lot of people would assume that people would find Oikawa terrifying. He’s prone to outbursts and he can definitely be intimidating, especially to new players. However, he’s someone that stops being at all intimidating once you get to know him and realize he can be more than a little goofy at times. A lot of people get really scared of Kentarou too, and with fair reasons – he has a hair-trigger temper and has zero issues with getting physical in his anger. However, the really terrifying one in Aoba Johsai? It's surprisingly Watari. While Watari is really very calm and mostly laid-back, with a temper that is very hard to set off, when he does get angry, he gets truly angry. It’s a very calm sort of angry too, the one where the angry person will not only hold lifelong grudges but will do everything he can to absolutely ruin the person who has provoked his ire.
Z: Gets the most overzealous over something others wouldn’t expect
From Date Tech, there’s two big ones that stick out to me. Aone is really very quiet, to the point that some people have known him for years and have only heard his voice once or twice, but he does have things that he gets really excited about or really worked up about. Aone is a huge animal lover and talking about them will allow him to share a lot of little trivia and bits of knowledge he’s learned about them. When he hears about animal abuse, he can get really worked up and heated. Onagawa is actually a true crime buff who loves reading and listening to podcasts on the subject. If anyone knew how detailed his knowledge is on serial killers, they might be a little scared.

CAN MARRIAGE BECOMES THE REASON OF DEATH AS PER VEDIC ASTROLOGY
The destiny of a person is written by only and only GOD. A person is destined with his or her destiny, the moment the baby takes birth in his world.
So in other word the life and death is already predestined by GOD and we human being have no role to play in it. We are in this earth to do good karma a get moksha, so that we don’t have another birth.
According to Hindu mythology, after going through eighty four lakhs yonis, one gets the birth of a human. And this human birth is to get MOKSHA, getting rid of this birth cycle.
As per astrology our destiny is made by the nine planets placed in different places of our horoscope. And as per our horoscope all the events that has to happen in one’s life is already decided with the time of their delivery.
So is our death also. The date and time of our death is also predestined and as per astrology it is fixed in advance as per the placements of the planets in our horoscope.
Any event or action ACTIVATES SOME OF OUR HOUSE IN OUR HOROSCOPE which CAN gives some results. The results is given by our horoscope ONLY IF IT IS PROMISED IN THE HOROSCOPE, BE IT POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE RESULTS.
Now to the root question is that IF the wife of the expired person can be responsible for his death.
As per the ACTIVATION TECHNIQUE, THE MARRIAGE IS AN EVENT and its action can trigger or activate the death. ( How is a very long astrological academic explanation which I am not touching now ).
Marriage happens when 2,7 and 11th house gets activated.
The 2nd house is badakesh and 7th house is markesh which is also death inflicting house.
BUT BUT BUT DEATH CAN HAPPEN ONLY IF IT IS PROMISED IN THAT TIME PERIOD. The marriage and the wife of the expired person can merely be a medium for its activation and nothing else, otherwise every person would die soon after their marriage.
IF THE WIFE OF THE EXPIRED PERSON WOULD NOT BECOME THE MEDIUM, THEN SOMETHING ELSE WOULD HAVE BECOME THE MEDIUM AS THE DATE AND TIME OF DEATH WAS ALREADY FINALIZED AS PER THE HOROSCOPE THE MOMENT A PERSON TOOK BIRTH IN THIS WORLD.
So it would be WRONG TO BLAME THE WIFE OF THE EXPIRED PERSON FOR HIS DEATH.
IF THIS IS HOW THINGS CAN HAPPEN THEN AN ASTROLOGER CAN BECOME CRIMINAL AND IF HE WANTS TO KILL SOMEONE CAN MAKE USE OF THE HOUSE ACTIVATION TECHNIQUE TO FORMULATE AN IDEA TO KILL SOMEONE.
As I said earlier, birth and death is all decided by GOD ONLY and we human being quietly follow it as his command.

What is a Signature Sign?
For those who don’t know what a Signature Sign is:
Its like your second ascendant, its like your aura or first “vibe” when people meet you. Its the strongest sign in ur chart. But at the same time can also be the sign you understand best with. Its like your real zodiac sign, its very similar to your characteristic’s. A part of your personality. Its just like your “dominant zodiac sign”
If you don’t know at what time you were born - your signature sign is likely to be your 2nd ascendant. Or if you never felt like your asc, this might be your real ascendant.
Where to calculate your Signature Sign?
First go on astro-seek.com
Then go on Free Horoscopes > Various astrology calculations > Other astro calculations > Dominant Planets & Elements -> Type in your birth data & go on Calculate Dominants >> and then you should see Signature sign (calculated by the amounts of elements & modalities that show up in your chart) Your Signature sign doesn’t have to be in your big three’s, its often times calculated by the rest of your chart. It is normally calculated by the “modern method” but you can always “switch to Traditional” if it feels incorrect for you although the modern method is more accurate. Now if you got Ambiguous Signature Sign, then you might have multiple Signature Signs.
Tumblr media
My Signature Sign is in Scorpio, which is also my Moon & Rising sign. I personally understand best with water placements & think its because of my signature sign. Having their Signature sign trine or conjunction your Sun/Signature sign, shows that you’re very compatible with this person.
(There was a girl I once met and her Signature Sign was in Gemini, she hypnotised every damn man with Libra or Aquarius placements. She understood best with Air placements & even her dom element is Air. Even tho her Sun is in Aries, she is still compatible with Libra Sun men)
My point is ur Signature sign can have a better outlook about what sign you’re compatible with, but your Signature sign doesn’t have to be the Sign that falls into your dom planet. Like I mentioned before, its like ur dominant zodiac sign.

When in the year was Sméagol born?
Tumblr media
I was wondering when in the year Sméagol was born, mostly because I'm curious as to which stars he was born under (his horoscope, to put it simply). I do believe placement of the stars/planets when born can have an affect on one's personality.
So I started doing some research to try and figure it out.
My first questions were…
Q: Does the world of Middle-Earth have the same constellations as we do?
A: YES. Though they are referred to differently, they are the same stars. For example, Orion's Belt in Tolkien's world is known as Menelvagor's Shining Belt, and is seen in the night sky in Autumn (which fits with our world, as well).
This is important to know, because I can't decide the equivalent of Sméagol's horoscope in our world if he doesn't have our stars.
Q: Are there seasons in Middle-Earth? Do they have the equivalent of Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall?
A: YES. And, according to this map, the Gladden Fields experiences a cold winter and a warm summer.
Tumblr media
This is important to know because the season is the ONLY THING I can use to figure out when Sméagol was born. We know the weather was nice (more on this below).
Q: Do hobbits count time the same way we do? Are there 24 hours in a day? 7 days a week? 12 months in a year? Are there 365.25 days in a year?
A: YES to all, though weekdays and months have different names, and each month has a period of 30 days (some extra days were added to their yearly calendar, so that there are 365 days a year, but they are not considered to be a part of a month).
This is important to know because I would have a very difficult time figuring out which stars were out during the time of Sméagol's birth if their years were shorter, or significantly dissimilar to ours in any way.
Q: On which months do the seasons fall? Do they fall on the same months as ours?
A: YES. Give or take a day or two. For example, Summer solstace for us is June 20th, and for them it is June 22nd.
This is important to know, because if Summer Solstace was in what we call January rather than June, the stars would be placed differently.
With all of these questions answered, I was then able to proceed. Like I said, the ONLY THING I have to determine Sméagol's birth date is the season -- the weather was quite nice on Sméagol's birthday (the day Déagol found the Ring/Sméagol took it). And I know this because not only were they fishing, but Déagol fell in and didn't suffer from hypothermia (if he had, I imagine it would have been mentioned. He seemed perfectly fine when he emerged), and Gandalf said "On a time they took a boat and went down to the Gladden Fields, where there were great beds of iris and flowering reeds."
These irises were the Yellow Iris/Yellow Flag, iris pseudacorus -- Tolkien states this in his notes.
Yellow Irises bloom in the Spring and Summer, from April to June (some say even up to the beginning of July).
New stalks of flowering reeds shoot in Spring, and flowers appear in late June.
With this information, we can say that Sméagol's birthday was in the Spring/Summer, somewhere from April to the beginning of July.
(I compared our yearly calendar with the hobbits' yearly calendar. It's different by only a day or two -- some months are the same. I can't say with certainty the exact day Sméagol's birth fell on, so those two days won't make much of a difference, anyway -- I can only give an estimate.)
At this point, I looked through the horoscopes that go from April to the beginning of July. Which are…
Aries (end of March to end of April) Taurus (end of April to end of May) Gemini (end of May to end of June) Cancer (end of June to end of July)
(I felt compelled to cross off Aries and Cancer, and put him closer to the middle, but I looked into the personality traits of each horoscope just to see.)
Aries Personality Traits: Confident, prideful, power-hungry, impatient, natural born leaders, impulsive, adventurous, headstrong.
Taurus Personality Traits: Kind, rational, dependable, trustworthy, loving, humble, greedy, resilient.
Gemini Personality Traits: Curious, cunning, deceptive, child-like, adaptable, dramatic, indecisive, playful.
Cancer Personality Traits: Artistic, imaginative, sensitive, moody, empathetic, kind, quirky, shy.
While I can see a bit of him in each horoscope, Gemini wins; it fits him almost to a T. The symbol for the sign is even two faces, and they are known as "The Twins" and for having two distinct sides.
Tumblr media
I went a bit further, and while I can't know the exact date, I can guess. Gemini is from May 21 - June 20 (give or take a couple days for the hobbits).
June 22nd is the first day of Summer for hobbits (June 20th for us).
Frodo's birthday is September 22nd, and canonically this is the first day of Autumn in the Shire.
I thought it would really be quite fitting if Frodo's birthday was the last day of Summer/first day of Autumn while Sméagol's birthday was the last day of Spring/first day of Summer at June 22nd for hobbits (which, if we took a couple days off for the hobbit calendar, would be June 20th which is the last day of Gemini). It would fit their being opposites/mirroring one another. Depending on how you look at it, you could say Sméagol was born at the beginning of Summer and Frodo was born at the end of Summer (Sméagol being interested in roots and beginnings is a big part of his story).
So canonically: Sméagol's birthday is in Spring/Summer.
My headcanon: He's a Gemini and was born June 22nd.

Can someone be born with both Aquarius and Pisces as their Sun signs? Are there any celebrities with this combination?
No, a person cannot be born with both Aquarius and Pisces as their Sun signs simultaneously. The Sun can only be in one zodiac sign at a time.
However, a person can be born on the cusp, which is the transitional period between two signs. Here are some points related to being born on the Aquarius-Pisces cusp:
Date Range: The Aquarius-Pisces cusp typically falls between February 15 and February 21.
Unique Traits: Individuals born on this cusp often exhibit traits from both Aquarius and Pisces, such as being innovative and idealistic (Aquarius) as well as compassionate and intuitive (Pisces).
Astrological Interpretation: While cusps can influence personality, traditional astrology assigns only one Sun sign based on the exact time of birth.
Celebrity Example: One celebrity born on the Aquarius-Pisces cusp is actor John Travolta (born February 18, 1954).
To have a more comprehensive understanding of your horoscope, consider utilizing Kundli Chakra Professional Software. This may provide you with useful information. along with the details of your birth.

Astrology, derived from the Greek words "astron" (meaning "star") and "logos" (meaning "study"), is a time-honored discipline that explores the influence of celestial bodies on human life.
ORIGINS
Its origins date back to ancient civilizations such as Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Greece, where astrologers observed the cosmic patterns and their correlation with human experiences. Understanding the historical context of astrology allows us to appreciate its enduring significance in various cultures throughout the ages.
Importance of astrology in understanding human potential
Astrology offers a unique lens through which we can comprehend the intricacies of human potential. It goes beyond simple personality traits and delves into the depths of individuality, providing insights into talents, challenges, and life purpose. By studying the cosmic forces and their alignment at the moment of birth, astrology allows us to gain a deeper understanding of our inherent strengths and weaknesses, enabling personal growth and self-empowerment.
Planets: The Actors in the Cosmic Drama
Roles and characteristics of the planets
In astrology, the planets represent the key players in the celestial theater, each embodying distinctive energies and archetypal qualities. From the fiery passion of Mars to the nurturing and intuitive nature of the Moon, each planet contributes to the kaleidoscope of human experience. Understanding the core essence and symbolism of each planet equips us with a comprehensive toolkit for interpreting astrological charts and discerning their impact on personal potential.
How each planet influences different aspects of life
The influence of the planets extends across various domains of life, encompassing love, career, spirituality, and more.
For instance, Venus governs matters of love, beauty, and aesthetics, while Saturn symbolizes discipline, responsibility, and life lessons. By examining the placement and aspects of the planets in an individual's natal chart, we can unravel the tapestry of influences that shape their potential and life trajectory.
Elements, Signs, and Houses: The Building Blocks
Understanding the elements and their significance:
The four elements
... fire, earth, air, and water - form the building blocks of astrology, representing distinct energetic qualities.
Fire embodies passion, inspiration, and creativity.
Tumblr media
Earth signifies stability, practicality, and groundedness.
Tumblr media
Air symbolizes intellect, communication, and adaptability.
Tumblr media
Water represents emotions, intuition, and sensitivity.
Tumblr media
Understanding the elemental composition of a birth chart enables us to discern the fundamental strengths and challenges that shape an individual's potential.
Exploring the zodiac signs and their qualities
The zodiac signs, divided into twelve equal parts, provide further nuance to astrological interpretations. Each sign possesses its own unique qualities and characteristics, reflecting different approaches to life. For instance, Aries embodies initiative, leadership, and assertiveness, while Pisces embodies empathy, compassion, and adaptability. By understanding the qualities and traits associated with each sign, we can unravel the layers of an individual's potential and gain insight into their distinctive path.
Unveiling the astrological houses and their areas of influence
The astrological houses are twelve divisions that highlight different areas of life experience. Each house denotes a specific aspect, such as relationships, career, health, or personal identity. Understanding the houses allows us to pinpoint the specific arenas where an individual's potential is expressed and where challenges may arise. By analyzing the interplay between planets, signs, and houses, we can create a comprehensive picture of an individual's potential and the dynamics at play in their life.
Synthesizing the Cosmic Blueprint: Natal Horoscope Interpretation
Reading and interpreting a natal horoscope chart
The natal horoscope, also known as the birth chart, is a graphical representation of the cosmic energies present at the time of an individual's birth. It provides a blueprint of their potential, highlighting key planetary positions, aspects, and house placements. By analyzing the symbols and patterns within the birth chart, we can unravel the unique story encoded in the heavens and gain a profound understanding of an individual's potential.
Identifying planetary aspects and their impact on personal potential
Planetary aspects refer to the geometrical relationships formed between planets in a birth chart. These aspects reveal the energetic interplay and dynamics between different planetary forces. For example, a harmonious aspect between Venus and Mars may signify a harmonious blend of love and passion, while a challenging aspect between Saturn and Uranus may indicate a tension between stability and change. Understanding the planetary aspects allows us to grasp the intricacies of an individual's potential and the challenges they may encounter on their life journey.
Analyzing the interplay between planets, signs, and houses
The true power of astrology lies in the synthesis of various elements within a birth chart. By examining the interplay between planets, signs, and houses, we can decipher the intricate dance of energies that shape an individual's potential. For example, a person with a strong Mars placement in the sign of Aries in the tenth house may possess great drive and ambition in their career, while someone with a prominent Venus in the sign of Libra in the seventh house may excel in cultivating harmonious and balanced relationships. By analyzing these interconnections, we gain a comprehensive understanding of an individual's potential and the unique tapestry of influences that shape their life path,

Chinese 8 Characters
Hello hello it's time for another BL-related cultural tidbit, this time from Stay By My Side Ep 9! I've been told this was simply translated as "8 Characters" so I thought I'd add a little info about this. And whilst we're at it, let's also talk a little about what we've seen of Bu Xia's family's Taoist temple.
I'm going to preface ALL of this by saying that I don't for a second expect the show to portray much of these cultural elements accurately (I mean much of the portrayal thus far has been pretty tongue-in-cheek anyway). Taoism as it is practiced as a religion in Taiwan is really more of a mix of philosophical Taoism and Chinese Folk Religion, and these concepts and superstitions are a very real part of everyday life, so the majority of Taiwan's (and some Chinese) audiences will be familiar with the very basic ideas about ghosts and Taoist temples and rituals. The elements that you do see in this show are pretty much just a caricature of "actual" practice, and are common misrepresentations in media anyway so it's really fine that the show is just using it as a plot device.
The Chinese 8 Characters, or 八字 (ba zi) may alternatively be translated as 8 character horoscope, or 4 pillars of destiny, or zodiac, or destiny, or fortune. Basically your time and date of birth corresponds to 8 different chinese characters, and using these 8 characters, one can calculate and determine things about your fortune, your health, your likely path in life (in the sense of ups and downs), your compatibility with another person, and even the small things like your lucky colour, number, day of the current month/year etc. It used to be the way to arrange marriages, and in fact a marriage could be called off purely on the fact that the couple's 8 characters did not match or were inauspicious. (A common way to say you've got beef with someone is to say "our 8 characters don't match" - basically implying you guys were destined to be enemies.) It's often the plot point of many period dramas too - a child is born with an unlucky set of characters, or rather characters that are in direct conflict with perhaps the patriach of the family and is thus either killed/abused/sent away. Although nowadays most people don't place much emphasis on Chinese Astrology anymore, it is still used often enough for eg to pick an auspicious day for weddings etc.
Tl;dr it's like tarot card reading + your zodiac + your horoscope all rolled into one, on steroids.
You can do things to improve your luck, or to curse someone else, based on your/their 8 characters. Similarly, you can tie the 8 characters - aka their destiny, for all intents and purposes - together, which is what Sis is talking about here with JC and BX. The stipulations that "[JC] must be pure of heart" and "BX has to write the characters himself" etc are probably just added in for effect (because Taoist rituals don't really work like that 🤣). Specifically, because it is the fate of BX's family and clan to be able to see and hear ghosts, they are going to "control" or "suppress" that part of BX's fate by using JC's 8 characters to "control" BX's. That said, people usually use elemental objects to "augment/alter" the luck/fate foretold by one's 8 Characters - not actual humans 🤣 - but yes this show is not about accuracy and it sounds just about legit enough for the plot point of a show 🤣🤣
Btw in case you were interested, the "secret family manual" from Grandpa that Sis is holding up is the 道家神符灵咒秘传 (Secret Manual of Taoist Talismans and Spells) - which is something apparently written during the Qing Dynasty that you can buy off shady Chinese e-shopping sites🤣. Here're some pictures of the supposed contents!
BX's Family Temple
Tumblr media
As mentioned, it's a Taoist temple - even without the manual, we would know this because BX's wooden sword is a Taoist - plus exorcisms and the like are usually more associated with Taoist practice
BX's wooden sword is actually a Peach Wood Sword - these, or Coin-Swords are commonly used in Taoist Rituals, and are often thought to be able to offer protection. However, it's purpose in rituals are mostly ceremonial - they represent the actual swords that were used way back when (after all it's no longer legal to carry swords and well, they're heavy). They are many folk legends surrounding Peaches/Peach wood, so those, combined with the use of sword arts in Taoism, has led to the common belief that Peach Wood sword can ward off evil spirits, bring fortune and wealth, offer protection etc. Also - BX swinging the sword around in his room, whilst looking very cool, is more chinese traditional dance than it is proper ritual use (BX's actor Wei Zhe is afterall, trained in Chinese dance)
It is unusual (but certainly not unheard of), as the show mentions, for a girl to take over the temple as Bu Xia's sister does (and even more unthinkable that someone taking over ritual rites would make a mistake like burning a talisman by accident and thinking it'd be ok hahaha) but this is resolved very simply by the show as "well Bu Xia is too scared to take over"
