I feel like there’s been big progress in the set up. The holes in the top were because I had tried to put in a head harness, however once I did the straps couldn’t be shortened enough to fit my head & the strap buckle pushed against the extension I had to put on the back. So I took that off and installed basic elastic straps along with the other hardware.

Danny is adoption bait to the Gotham rogues.

Danny only went to Gotham university because it had a lot of ambient ectoplasm and he could fast track to the arrow space department in Wayne enterprises if he worked hard enough. He didn’t need adopting, he was already 19 years old and had a (strained, very distant) relationship with his parents. When he moved to Gotham, he expected to have to deal with people wanting to make him a new Wayne, not with all of the Gotham rogues immediately trying to adopt him.

So what if he defended Killer Croc from some asshole cops, accidentally exposing his fangs and had a conversation about being dehumanized with him that led to them having dinner on Wednesdays?

So what if he got into a serious conversation about the green gas effect and pollution (Sam had taught him well) with Poison Ivy that result in him coming over for dinner and Harley Quinn declaring him a ‘sweetheart’?

So what if he directed Frostbitw to help Mr. Freeze and now Nora invited him over for brunch on Sundays?

So what if he had a wonderful conversation with the Riddler in which they traded space themed riddles which lead to Riddler seeking him out sometimes for a game?

So what if he helped Mr. cobble pot by making him intangible when some people were driving by in about splash mud on him and he now had a part time job there as a bouncer?

So what if Grundy played tag with him every other Thursday and called him Little Death and offered to eat his chemical engineering teacher who gave him a low grade because he didn’t follow safety precautions?

This didn’t mean he was adoption bait. Shut up Sam.

I will take the risk.#That aside; I often think about how the nature of cultivators in MDZS's world also entailed knowing about other art forms.#Meaning that Wen Qing and Wen Ning likely were good musicians and artists.#We know WWX is also good in art and music so...really...what was stopping them from forming a band?#Allow me to pitch this AU: Yiling Opera company AU. WWX and the Wen remnants form a performing trope and tour towns and cities.#Not only do they find a way to keep on the move (no home...only the road and the people around you).#But you also get to be in costume - which is a socially appropriate way to always be in disguise.#Yiling Laozu would thus be a character and/or WWX's stage name.#Would he be good at keeping it a secret? Hard to say with WWX! I think it would be a poorly-kept secret at best.#He likes to brag and show off a bit too much. This many would be either the worst or best spy.#Consider the drama of JC losing his mind over his ex-brother becoming a clown. Imagine JC Getting his ass kicked by said clown.#Imagine the delectable secret identity drama potential of Lan Wangji stumbling upon the trope's performances.#We did not get nearly enough of the secret identiy drama in MDZS canon. WIP caique mask. This doesn’t look like much, but it was a good few hours work! Parrots have a palette-like thing in their top bill that guards the nostril holes in the beak and the sides of it connect to soft connecting tissue at the sides of the beak.

I’ve sculpted the palette base & once dry/sanded I’m envisioning covering it with a stretch fabric. The pointy edges will be attached to side strips of stretch fabric/elastic between the top and bottom jaws, so they will pull with the fabric, plus it’s part of the mask hinging setup. I’m really hoping this plan works out

I Just Need a Little More Time!

I was inspired after remembering Dr. Facilier's final scene in The Princess and the Frog.

Ellie has stabilized, the Infinite Realms are (mostly) under control of the High Queen, and has shuttered itself away while Jack, Maddie, and Vlad got rid of the GIW. A few years later, after all this nonsense is taken care of, she goes back to wandering the Earth.

Danny, being the worrying mother he is, gives her a few lesser abilities that he has as High Queen, and tells her to visit every once in a while, or he'll send Dan to drag her back.

Ellie makes a show of rolling her eyes and sighing before hugging him and promising to visit. She leaves and roams the world as a sort of advisor about ghostly things and lover of all facets of the world.

She's approached one day by the Bats to help with one of their problems in Gotham, and they naturally sort of get closer. She even starts dating of of them (Damian, Cass? You can fiddle with the timelines and ages).

But during all of this, she forgets to visit for quite some time. Danny, worried, sends Dan to find her. He does a little salute "Yes, Mom!" and goes off, scheming.

This culminates in that scene where, you guessed it, Dan appears (quite menacingly, might I add) to drag Ellie back. 🎶Are You Readyyy?🎶

After all, she hasn't paid her dues to the Queen Mother yet, has she? Only one way to make up for that. You're coming with me. (Danny's going to be fussing over her for ages.)
