This peyote bracelet band took a lot more time than anticipated as the pattern ended up being more complex to read/bead. I really like how it turned out though!

Some absolutely beautiful tools arrived late last week. The double pitch combs & hackle were custom made for me by Celestial Farms to mach a set of hand carders & small hackle I already had from them. The flicker brush is also from Celestial Farms, bought as a premade from their etsy store.

The two spindles are hand carved by the artisan Carry Cherry Spindles from Russia.

Another super cute beaded bracelet. This one scared me a little bit because I almost ran out of white beads (I finished with literally 7 to spare!)

Completed card woven band! This came out so pretty. It’s done in cotton using a pattern from the book ‘Tablets at Work’.

Finished commission paws! These were constructed using the Foxfirefantasy fox paws, and used mochi minky & claws provided by the commissioner. These were super satisfying to complete. The paws are really snug to wear & can’t accommodate a liner, but you truely can’t feel the seams at all when wearing.

Almost done with the paws! The commissioners sent me claws and they were a bugger to install as I had to carefully clip the fabric to fit over the sculpted cuticle. I also continue to be astounded by the difference a hand trim always makes to the finish of paws.

I have been working on an extremely detailed blackwork. It’s a norse mythology mandala design.

WIP of the commission paws & next step is to sew the pads in. These are very snug & skin fitting on me but the commissioner has slightly smaller hands than me so that will give them a little more comfort room for the patterns scale.

Commission WIP. I’m about halfway done with the seams. Next step is to sew on the white finger tops & prepare the mochi pads.

WIP caique mask. This doesn’t look like much, but it was a good few hours work! Parrots have a palette-like thing in their top bill that guards the nostril holes in the beak and the sides of it connect to soft connecting tissue at the sides of the beak.

I’ve sculpted the palette base & once dry/sanded I’m envisioning covering it with a stretch fabric. The pointy edges will be attached to side strips of stretch fabric/elastic between the top and bottom jaws, so they will pull with the fabric, plus it’s part of the mask hinging setup. I’m really hoping this plan works out

All the pieces for a paw commission for @urboros. This is FoxFireFantasy’s latest fox paw which is super snug, so I’m not sure I’ll be able to pop a liner in it. The commissioner has provided claws & some mochi minky for the pads which will be a treat to work with.

Completed teddy using Furaddictions’ ‘Fat Panda’ pattern. I’ve been working on this over the last few years & I’m so proud of how this bear turned out! Isn’t he so damn cute 🥰

I recently bought this vintage rabbit tapestry, partially stitched, with the intention of completing it. I ended up carefully unpicking all the wool stitches because it smelt extremely musty indicating it hadn’t been stored correctly, plus I thought some of the detail had been lost (I was right) & I wanted to have matching dyelots of the wools. A few days of work & it’s ready to be re-stitched. I also unpicked a mountain tapestry my mum started before I was born.

I plan to do the bunnies using DMC soft shiny cotton. The mountains I will do as a beaded tapestry.

I feel like there’s been big progress in the set up. The holes in the top were because I had tried to put in a head harness, however once I did the straps couldn’t be shortened enough to fit my head & the strap buckle pushed against the extension I had to put on the back. So I took that off and installed basic elastic straps along with the other hardware.

The moffs insisted that I needed to do something with all the spindle singles. Gosh they were right, I have filled sooo many spindles & some bobbins. Mind you, there is some plyed yarn there that just needs finishing.
