Thinking abt dungeon meshi and how marcille vs falin's ways of healing encapsulates the main message of the story.

Marcille heals the "normal" way (i.e it hurts like hell every time bc the nerves are surging from suddenly being remade). And while yes it does hurt a lot. The pain might actually be a really good sign because it could mean tissue is reconnecting properly.

Meanwhile falin sort of cheats the system by dampening the person's pain. And while it is nice and helps lessen the burden on the other it can be dangerous for multiple reasons. For example let's say Falin is reattaching someone's limb, she does her usual trick of there being no pain. However because there is no pain being felt there is a less than 0% of that limb simply just being reattached and not fully healed properly. Of course falin being a seasoned adventurer would probably take thar percentile into acct but it's a dangerous game overall. This chance of error getting higher and higher the more delicate the organs she's healing. There's a reason why nerve damage is tricky to heal.

This relates to the main theme of the story being "eating is a privilege of the living". Because falin's form of healing is an attempt at an action without consequences. Much like how the demon wants everyone to live in total bliss where they get every single thing they want no matter how depraved or hedonistic it may be. It is an easy answer. An answer that tries to soften or ignore the cruel consequences, but in reality the consequences of trying to circumvent those painful ones can are a dangerous game at best, and at worst playing into the interests of someone who doesn't care about yours.

Now I'm not saying falin is /bad/ for using that form of healing. In fact it shows a really interesting peek into her character as well as shows the amount of skill she has as a healer. I mean she is juggling not only reconstructing flesh and bone shes also working with supressing a person's sense of pain long enough for them to not notice it during the healing process but works quickly enough so she doesnt end up permanently messing up their nerves.

And really, that encapsulates falin's character. She's a people pleaser. She works quietly but quickly as to not disturb others. She is the opposite of Laios in that she always keeps the thoughts of others in her mind. Yet at the same time she's sort of similar to him in that she tends to just go with what she thinks is best even if it may not be socially acceptable.

I wonder if that's why, at the very end, it was the demon who told her to go back to the painfully beautiful world of the living. Their final "curse".

seen some recent posts that have me curious. why do people assume that just because fans are calling out the racist marketing from AMC, that this is just about one actor or that we're ignoring jacob and delainey? the concern of the show "moving focus away from black and brown characters" wasn't just in response to assad getting sidelined by the awful marketing. we've seen those interviews from rolin about jacob being demoted to supporting character after he was the Lead for two seasons. we've seen AMC catering hard to the vocal book fandom based on how they paired up actors for their promos/interviews (despite assad and luke only having one episode together, we've seen plenty more with this duo while assad and jacob never got even ONE interview together to discuss their characters). post s2, we don't even have confirmation about how often claudia/delainey will be featured in the story moving forward. however we also know that a lestat centered season will feature a white lead and prominent white supporting characters.

but no, fans still want to act like we're exaggerating or even pretend these concerns don't apply to louis and claudia at all. i have no doubt that certain anti black DM shippers are being annoying and stupid as usual. but it's not only armand/assad fans getting upset when we've seen enough from the show runners and executives that are prepping us to phase out louis as the lead so we can get to the "real lestat story". i'm so tired of this fandom being obtuse.

They're being obtuse because they're deliberately trying to drown us out. They want us purged in time for s3 so they can finally live in white utopia in peace.

Like no fucking shit we knew the next season was gonna be lestat centered; the problem is that they over-inserted him where he wasn't needed and that gives us the impression that they do not have faith in anything that doesn't heavily involve a white person in some way. Most of these criticisms are leveled at the marketing but honestly the dreamstat concept was bloated as hell and it affected the overall quality of the season for me. And of course that behavior is reflected in the fandom where everything and every action and every thought has to be tied to l*stat somehow because god forbid a person or relationship exist without his divine involvement. Back to promotional material: notice how quick they were to jump to the defence of a corporation over real people of color voicing concerns at racist behavior only for us to be right? hm it's almost like that's a pattern. And we've been clocking it from the very fucking beginning - the posters, the interviews, the type of people invited to events, the people given screeners, the people denied screeners, taking the podcast away to be replaced with random white woman on youtube that is the encapsulation of the new type of audience they're trying to garner and appeal to exclusively, the social media acct run by someone who can practically be found at the front row of louis and claudia's trial - it's disgusting and as clear as it can be. I have faith in the writers and their ability; they have consistently delivered some of the best work I've ever scene put to screen, but I've learnt the hard way that studio interference is something I have to contend with now and it is still an overwhelmingly white space which is such a shame. What is Twinfell? Twinfell is an AU based around Underfell (creator @underfell) where the monsters in the underground are very edgy, hateful, and fueled with fear. At first, the monsters were just like the ones in Undertale, but after they were trapped underground, they turned to hate and fear. Asgore was the first person in this AU to fall, and everyone went down the same path as him eventually.

The story of Underfell starts after the monsters have fully integrated into this mindset, but unlike normal Underfell, Twinfell also combines the events of Flowerfell as part of the AU. Flowerfell was created by @Siviosanei, where every time Frisk dies, the timeline resets. And when they return to life, a buttercup grows on their body. The flowers could not be removed as it hurts Frisk. Despite the cruel nature of the characters in Underfell, Frisk remains pacifist.

Twinfell takes place 7 years after Flowerfell happens. (In my AU version of Flowerfell, instead of the ending where Sans uses Frisks' SOUL along with the other 6 human SOULs to break the barrier and free all of the Monsters), he instead chooses to absorb Frisks' SOUL and lets the other 6 fade into nothingness due to his depression and grief over losing Frisk, as well as his fears that even after everything Frisk did trying to teach the Underfell Monsters the meaning of kindness and pacifism, that they might not have learned anything at all. Basically instead choosing to trap the UF monsters behind the Barrier with no way to escape.

Undyne, and Papyrus however, learning about Sans GODsoul and remembering how kind Frisk was, and seeing perhaps Asgore was wrong about all humans being heartless bastards, the 3 of them decide to make a rebellion group called the "Freedom Fighters" where they vow to take down Asgore, the Royal Guards as well as Asgore's "Kill or Be Killed" mindset once and for all and make the underground a much more inhabitable place.

How did the AU initially come about ? 

I was fascinated with the story and lore (as well as the overall aesthetic of Underfell) and obsessing over Flowerfell at the time, and I never noticed those two were completely different AUs until I basically did a deep dive into them both. And basically I wondered "what if I combined the two AUs together???" Another reason for it, was because I frankly got tired of the fandom for the most part sort of 'meme-ing' on the Underfell AU and other adjacent "Fell" AUs, I wanted to take the concept of Underfell and make it even more darker and twisted. And also dive even deeper into the whole concept of the Monsters losing their morality and humanity (which was the number one reason why I personally love the Underfell universe the most of all Undertale AUs I've read about and gotten interested in.) And wanted to do my own take on the verse, hence "Twinfell."

What is fighting like in the game ?

If there ever WAS a game made properly for Twinfell, I was sort of thinking the fighting system would be "real-time" instead of taking turns. (Or maybe its still turn based just like canon UNDERTALE, if you are fighting against any of the members of the Freedom Fighters group) vs the monsters on Asgore's side and The Royal Guard, who fight you based on real time.

In the RUINs, it's also turn-based, since technically the monsters are unaffiliated with either side, (some may fight you based on real-time depending how desperate they get in the fight. like during low HP moments etc.)

So I’m thinking just like in the canon Underfell Universe, that there isn’t a “pacifist” or a “ genocide” route.

More of like a Trust, Betrayal, Closure routes.

Trust: Otaku manages to befriend all the monsters and make them trust one another again.

Betrayal: Flowey or Akumu pins the monsters against each other resulting in Frisk getting blamed for it.

Closure: Otaku befriends all the monsters and manages to make them realize the wrongs they’ve committed. Finally finding closure within each other.”

What is the FIGHT/ACT/ITEM/MERCY interface like ? “FIGHT-ACT-ITEMS-MERCY" it’d still be the same as canon Undertale.

FIGHT- Butt heads against the monsters, but when things start getting seriously bad for the monster With them being at the last strand of HP they have, Flowey would step in and say “Maybe now they’ll listen to you” The fight option would be gone and then Mercy-> Spare HOWEVER if you ONLY fight them, it doesn’t mean they trust you, it just means they fear you. Choosing to only fight would still decide the routes.

ACT- same concept, trying to convince them not to kill you by making them trust you. Act takes longer per usual, but instead of Spare it’d be Mercy-> Convince Because by this time they have a little trust in you, and would come around wanting to help you. And themselves.

ITEMS- same thing, except you have a surprise box cutter in flowey's pot that isn’t known about until the end of the route.

MERCY - Self-Explanatory. May change to "Convince" or "Spare" depending on actions.

Both were abandoned on the side of the road near an abandoned shopping mall by their parents at the age 7 and for 5 years they basically lived on their own and did what they could to survive up until CPS (Child Protective Services) of Ebott City finally found and rescued them and brought to an orphanage where the twins lived in for 2 more years and would move from foster family to foster family without much success.

(Mostly due to the Fosters wishing to seperate the twins since Akumu was very rebellious, and was suffering from abandonment issues and trauma, while Otaku was very easy going and well behaved. They thought Aku was a problem child.)

To avoid getting seperated again, Akumu took and lied to her brother to go sight seeing by climbing Mt. Ebott for a "Family Photo" of the two of them standing on the mountain overseeing Ebott City, when they both tripped and accidentally fell into a massive hole near the summit and landed on Golden Flowers….

Fun facts:

The Eldest Twin (by like, 10 minutes)

Has the SOUL of Discipline. (A combination of DETERMINATION and BRAVERY)

Effects: The SOUL becomes rock-hard. Able to bounce off attacks without taking too much damage. (About half the damage.) Though if done, the attacks will eventually fall back down at a faster pace and change color to injure the host at double the attack power it would have normally been.

14 years old.

Very rebellious, and acts much older than her actual age.

Is also extremely protective of her brother, and will even kill both monsters AND other humans if it meant keeping him safe.

Practically trusts no one, except for Otaku considering he is the only family she has left that still gives a shit about her and puts up with her "bad attitude" and issues.

Able to see and use the SAVE stars, cannot RESET.

posting online can definitely be intimidating, but the biggest thing to remember is that you're doing it for yourself, and to have some fun/have some creative output. even people who have been posting for years and have a decent following (or 50 ppl on a tag list) still might not see the notes climbing on fics. esp reblogs and comments. people have gotten into a habit of just liking nowadays and it's super annoying and dis-motivating lol.

The VERY first thing I posted online was back in like... 2003, it was either a LOTR, POTC or HP fanfic over on fanfic. net. I didn't know about reviews/comments/anything. I just knew that me and my friends were all writing and having fun reading each others stories. i took a VERY long hiatus and started up in the SVU fandom over 2020 cause there was nothing else to do lol. the very first multichapter story i wrote is currently taken down as i'm re-working it (and it was IMO terrible). there was little to no context to the plot, smut was underwhelming or a little cringey, and it topped out at like 9k words or something).

My one shots are all still there. For reference check Casey/Barba/Carisi's masterlist, the oldest fics are at the top of said lists.

i decided to post because i was having fun writing and wanted to share it. I'd been reading/commenting/reblogging for a month or so and thought i could definitely do it, so why not? I also started writing cause there was little to NO Casey x reader content. so i figured i had to do it myself.

I'd say the best thing to do is: #1: do a lot of reading, check out what styles you really like, what you think you'd like to write/what others would want to read. Check out the way other authors are formatting their posts (ie; are they using a gif, a header image, a moodboard, nothing? are they posting the whole fic on tumblr or just a blurb and a link to ao3? etc)

then #2: create an acct on tumblr that is related to/focused on the fandom you want to/are writing for. Follow releated blogs, Reblog gifs, random posts, other people's work, comment on stuff, get some mutuals, make some friends, etc. make some of your own posts, once you're out of the "are they a bot?" phase and your original posts are showing up in the tags, you're good to go. (and the best part is you can still keep yourself totally anonymous doing this. you don't need a name or picture, just make sure you have a bio and say whether you're 18+ or not)

write! #4: post some stuff! make sure it's tagged properly (ie; only tag the actual pairings "Emily Prentiss x reader" "past!jjx reader" don't start tagging all the characters just cause they have one line in the story...) -if it's over 1000 words, put it under a readmore -make sure to tag all appropriate warnings at the top and in the tags (and don't censor them!) (ie: "alcohol consumption" "smut" "oral, f receiving" "spanking" or "angst" "character death" etc)

-i find most blogs don't mind if you tag them in stuff, esp if its a fandom/character they enjoy.. (some people DO though, it normally says in their bio/pinned post, so be careful). I personally think a tag is easy enough to ignore if i don't like it. HOWEVER, don't go into people's dm's/inboxes unsolicited trying to get them to read your fics

it will likely take a little bit to build a following/get some reactions to your fics, so don't stress about that, just write, post, and have fun!

Welcome to Mt. Cavaro! Pt. 2

This mountain plateau was once nothing but a small seasonal hunting town. Over the last 50 years however, developers took notice of the potential of this location and now, it is a bustling upcoming town. Families and sims have moved in droves to start business opportunities or to take advantage of those who are. Some however, are just enjoying the quiet scenic views and good people.

Time to show the families! There are 14 households I will be playing rotationally. I will show them in the order I will play them.

MISC INFO

I will be playing wants based, so the sims have to want something for me to do it. (eg: teen sims will not go to uni unless they have the want to on the day of their age up). I will make some of my own choices for the sims when I see fit, like for example: Vera Flast has the OTH of Music & Dance, so I will pursue the dance career as that is what I believe she would do. Both her and Arthur must go to university because they are from a wealthy family that would enforce this.

LTWs can change up until the sim is 10 days deep in adulthood. Because IRL you wouldn't know what you want forever when you're 15. So it's subject to change if I feel the old LTW doesn't reflect the sim.

I am using custom lifespans:

Babies: 5 days

Toddlers: 10 days

Child: 14 days

Teenagers: 22 days

Adults: 40 days

Elders: 9-30 days

If elders pass away after only 9 days, they would have lived 100 days exactly, if they live to the full 30 days, they will die at 120 days.

IMPORTANT! Alot of my sims appearances and names are inspired by real world cultures. A lot of these names are real names in said cultures, most of which I am not educated on fully. So if I am using a sims name in an inappropriate or incorrect way- PLEASE let me know so I can fix it asap and if you are able, maybe give me a suggestion of what to change it to :)

I dont exactly know yet how I will be formatting my posts on what happens in each rotation. I could make a post for each individual families week, but that might bog down this blog. The other option is to do a full rotation and post all families in one big post, but that might mean some posts are few and far between. Please give your opinions!

Also, a sidenote: I am INCREDIBLY burnt out from all the building and decorating of this entire hood. So I will not be building my own University/College subhood. 🐚 ⸻ ✷ GUIDE TO TUMBLR AND CLIQ RPING.

Interested in joining a rp that’s using Tumblr and CLIQ as there platform? Say no more. I’ve created this guide with step by step instructions on how to do so. Whether you use this guide to join our rp ( @rivalryhq ) or another rp, we hope that you find that’s guide useful. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us on our main. Thank you and I hope your journey into Tumblr and CLIQ rping is a breeze ! Without further ado, let’s jump right.

Please make sure you throughly read all directions before sending any extra questions you may have. In order to gain access to CLIQ, you will need to provide us with an email that has not been associated with ANY other CLIQ organizations in order for you to accept your invite. While CLIQ is available for iPhone & Android Users, you will need to set up your profile on your desktop or by using your mobile web browser via your phone.

SETTING UP YOUR TUMBLR ACCT.

This section is fairly easy out of the entire process.

STEP ONE: If you haven’t already when submitting your application, create your Tumblr blog and make sure that your blog username is the same as your social media handle on your application. This is extremely important because the dash will act as your social media feed. See example below.

STEP TWO: Set up your Tumblr blog however you want to your liking. Themes are completely optional but if they are your things and helps get your muse pumping, here is a few themes that you can use: THEME ONE, THEME TWO, and THEME THREE. Plesse note that these are completely optional. You may use whatever your heart desires.

STEP THREE: Now it’s time for IC interactions via Tumblr. Again, this is fairly easy, but if you are still having trouble understanding just reach out to us. The dash is your social media feed. Meaning all your tweets, IG post, tiktoks, and whatever other social media your muse uses. Your personal IMs on tumblr is considered your DMs/iMessage. We do suggest when you do FaceTime/regular calls to switch to your personal IMs on CLIQ. However, the decision is up to you.

STEP FOUR: Now it’s time for you to make your tweets. When making your tweets we suggest that you don’t use any formatting, but instead change the font to “BIGGER”. This is just to keep the dash uniformed and clean. All reblogs will act as retweets or reposts (depending on what the post is). When you want to tag some one in a tweet or mention them, just simply @ them. Here is an example of how a tweet can look.

SUGGESTED TAGS TO CREATE: media (for images posted on twitter), instagram (posts, stories, reposts), tiktok, music, tasks, development, anons, and etc.

SET UP FOR CLIQ.

This section may be the hard part, but do not fret ! If you still aren’t getting the hang of things after this explanation, please contact us on the main page.

STEP ONE: Upon receiving your application & it being accepted, you will be invited with the email you provide us. Unfortunately, your email will not be hidden so please make sure you provide us with an email that you are comfortable with everybody seeing. Once you join the organization, you will then set up your profile to your liking. Please make sure you are using your character’s name when doing so. You will see an example below.

STEP TWO: After that, some of you will see that you have already been added the “WELCOME ABOARD THE S.S HILTON”. If you haven’t been added, do not worry. You can join the channel from using the search bar.

STEP THREE: Once you have completed this & you have noticed that you haven’t been added to you home, please message us so we can add you. We will attempt to stay on top of this but please excuse us if it slips our mind. When you are added to your home you will notice that you are made the admin of your home. You will then have complete control of you home & can add/remove whatever character you want. We ask that you do NOT remove the admins from your home & that you do NOT create your own home.

STEP FOUR: After all those steps have been completed, you can join any room you see available. You will join by simply hitting the “JOIN” button & you will have full access to the rooms. While you guys are not the admin, you are able to add a character if you would like. If you have any questions regarding set up feel free to message us.

STEP FIVE: Now when using CLIQ, you will interact how you would on discord & HALL (if you remember that time). We suggest using third person to write. During the times that there are events, we ask that you end your message by “ @ “ the person you are communicating with. That way they won’t miss your response. You also have the option of creating a thread within the channel for you & the person you are communicating with. You will be able to do this by holding down their message and choosing “Reply in Thread”. If you are on your desktop, you will simply hover the message you would like to make into a thread & click the message icon to ignite the thread. If you have any questions regarding this, feel free to message us. Below you will see all the various markdowns that CLIQ uses.

I'm sure he does read comments or scrolls through. But to expect or want him to do more is imo ridiculous. He doesn't need to foster more parasocial relationships in people's minds.

This isn't the first instance of people saying he's losing fans bc "he's not doing enough" "for them" and this is a repeated example. at least 5 different rotations of This over the last almost 2 years. This was the first time anyone sent me a pic from ig with a quote, but not the first time I've read it.

Also someone who doesn't appear to be in the fandom, but they suddenly show up with a very detailed reason why they're so unhappy with his interactions with fan comments. That he should appreciate them more? That's suspicious to me, like photosby person, who is private, then some other unsavory comments made by people who don't look like they're in the fandom either, but they're all so personal or detailed about him. With comments that also sound like emotional blackmail.

Considering EN and the fakehawkartistgirlisthesameperson  and his penchant for attracting people willing to fabricate "4 years of proofs" for their delusional fantasies. or the person who threatened self harm to get him to talk to them. I stand by everything I have said. I find such a deeply involved response and that they actually Know he doesn't like a lot of comments from people he doesn't really know. What they just looked him up one day and while not in the fandom combed through his likes to find patterns? Who he likes, friends, coworkers, industry people that will cast him faster than a growing follower number would? Did they count likes on posts? Hmmmmmm that's suspicious to me.

As for the fandom have they jumped on it yet? Yes repeatedly they've said he doesn't do enough for fans. It's even on Beinlausi. Give them time for more. They jump on him for everything else lol, or turn it around as being JM's fault. Although recent criticism of his comments about work/characters imo are deserved. Even as a joke, he should know by now that that's a phrasing that could get him negative attention. And deserved criticism. I can't defend him on that. Lol However I will Say we didn't see the whole conversation.

Perhaps I'm being too suspicious of their motives, but it seems a little too coincidental to me and the person who sent me those screens. 😊😊

Edited to add the suspicions come on the heels of someone posting how to use "sub accts" to ask call out questions on JM's Instagram, like about artworks and other things. To use multiple sub Accts to not get their main one blocked. Ie to harass JM, or have a private acct making rude assertions about JM, and even including Rikke in their comments from people also not in the fandom. I've been sent pics of those as well. Not gonna post bc I'm not spreading pictures of their hate games. It's suspicious.

TSATS Replacement Fic, huh. Now, what can I say about this that won't spoil it (you know what I'm like with my longfic projects :P) but will still reveal a little more about it...

Well, it's exactly what it says on the tin - I did not like TSATS and have many issues with it, so I've decided to work on a Solangelo quest fic that fits the implications of TON but also satisfies the itches TSATS did not (as opposed to the non-Solangelo centric one better known at this point as Eclipse!)

So, what does this include? A prophecy, Apollo being a frantic dad, Hades being unhappy about the whole situation as well, plenty of time to spotlight Will and his trauma, with Nico being the good, loving and supportive boyfriend we know he deserves to be - and an unexpected third member of the quest whose identity I will leave a secret.

It should be keeping in line with the characterisations from TOA and earlier, if I can get this right. There is one new arrival from TSATS I am intrigued about enough to potentially let them join in the fun, but otherwise basically everything that originates in TSATS is being completely ignored.

In terms of the actual plot, I don't want to talk too much about what will happen, but I will confirm a few things that won't:

Thing one: Solangelo will not go to Tartarus. I could not come up with any scenario where Apollo and Hades would stand for this, and I already have the story where they take their sons' places.

Thing two: The voice calling Nico is not Bob. There is, however, someone who does need saving.

Thing three: There will not be relationship drama for the sake of drama. I don't believe in screwing with romantic relationships just to create drama. That's not to say they'll always agree with each other, but at no point will there be any serious Drama between Will and Nico

And just to give you something to chew over, while this isn't yet set in stone and may still be tweaked, currently the quest prophecy (the one that in this fic will be the one Rachel uttered at the end of TON), is looking something like this:

i have a lot to say on this and it might be a bit all over the place as i try to lay out my (very jumbled) thoughts but. on the wolflyn thing - i’ve been thru art school and know how it feels to have people not like my art and immediately feel like i have to bite back in a really defensive way when it gets criticised so i understand that aspect of it but at the same time i’ve been in dreams position almost exactly with my body image and such and i know first hand how difficult it is to live with and so onto my main point - you can change an art style. you can’t change your body image, that shit is so deeply ingrained and intertwined with day to day life and you have to live with it forever and it’s really fucking difficult. an art style is fluid and you can change it at anytime and experiment anytime however you want and idk i think its really telling that i havent seen dreams fanart acct interact w their work in the months ive been tracking his activity on there (from what i remember anyway). and yeah i could go on a lot more but i don’t think i need to hdhdhdb my main point was really just that changing ur art style is doable and i think wolf should try that and also stop coming at things from a place of defensiveness and using accusatory language immediately and if that doesnt work out - deactivate their accts and stop drawing forever or smth idk!

sorry my notifs always get fucking eaten on this app and I'm inept too which doesn't help, bUT I just wanted to say that in general, ACW isn't abandoned!

I know it's been a hot minute since I have written anything but I've had a lot go on since the start of 2020, as you can imagine. not only in the world but personal life. and it just carried over into 2021. and 2022. and now into 2023. however, I am A LOT better now than I was at the start.

not trying to personally dump because there's just too much to summarize on this app, and some things I'm just not comfy sharing, but I got diagnosed with things like ADHD and depression, and not only am I working on treatment/management with my psych and therapist, altogether it's been a process of adaptation after knowing why my brain do what it do.

slowly I've been getting back into creating. bc I didn't. for all the time I was gone, I didn't produce really...anything. writing, art— nada. I've made some good progress esp since late 2022 when I started to come back to some things, but it used to be I wouldn't even read fic, watch movies/shows, engage with things... I was basically in a massive depressive episode. so I've been slowly reconnecting with art and in turn just that side of me.

I'm sure people who follow me/pay it mind (and it's okay if you don't lol) have seen recently I've been making and posting art I've made since I got back from LA a little bit ago.

I haven't drawn or been artistic like that in a long while. and while I've created things here and there, it was usually for someone else/social things I was doing. I struggled even with that, so it probs happened altogether less than 10 times over the last few years... this is the first I've just been creating and enjoying myself since then.

there's a lot that is still changing for me. and there's some major things shifting behind the scenes for me still that are playing out. I still intend to finish ACW, I'm just having to handle myself, and overall, I'm coming back into what used to feel like second nature.

so apologies for the wait. in a way, I kind of have been stuck with y'all during the hiatus. I got as much out of it as y'all did, lol. but I'm hoping with this continued improvement, and once things settle a bit more on my end, that writing will come back to me more and more. I've been able to do things here and there, so I'm hopeful.

also, another issue is google. my old acct ran out of space so anything I have made is completely locked up. I can't even EDIT my old docs. it's bad. I've tried to free shit up but it's like google replaces what I delete somehow and I'm always at my limit. so that's been a hassle in and of itself and I am working around that too.

fingers crossed this ship finally leaves the harbor I've docked it at for some time. I love ACW. I see what y'all write. and I know I don't often respond to comments but I read them. I see them. and I'm honored my story has had the impact and love that it has. ACW legit is one of my most beloved works by both myself and its readers. so thank you for that.

but I hope everyone does know that even if it may take me a while, I plan to come back and complete it once I'm properly able! and thank you for your understanding and patience w me. 💕

I have been enemy de-resourced and several accounts hacked. My iCloud account, has been compromised. When arrested at Portland State at a computer terminal: I was logged into my Apple Acct: which was during a hostile corporate takeover. This is when all my iTunes disappeared, and Miranda Lambert's shit popped up on it: a whole album or two.

My equipment was never returned to me. My cousin's jewlery that was found was never returned either. We will most likely have to kill every officer I emailed @PDX.edu. The stupid blonde one who thought she was human is still crying that I dug the heel of my boots into her shins.

Post-Before

I came across a Facebook post about a fourth installment entitled Before the End on the widely-acclaimed Before series which has long been part of my watchlist. This prompted me to immediately start binge watching the trilogy -- Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, and Before Midnight -- and I didn’t regret choosing this over the You series which I’ve bookmarked a site for since I don’t own any Netflix account as of this time. Most of us know how minimalistic the movies are since it revolves and highlights conversations which made the trilogy famous. The first (1994) and second movies (2004) highly focus on the two main characters’ conversations but on the third movie (2013), there was more improvement since there were multiple characters present. What makes the trilogy also special are the topics being covered throughout the dialogues which ranges from love, politics, music, books, movies, dreams, memories, and any other aspects of life. 

The story starts with an American tourist meeting a French student aboard a train after the latter transferred a seat across the former to stay away from a fighting couple. It was the summer of ‘94 when the conversation between a cynic Jesse and a romantic Celine started. The two walked around the streets of Vienna, talking and reminiscing, after Jesse convinced Celine to get off the train with him and continue their conversation. They only had an evening since Jesse will be returning to the US the next morning and Celine needs to return to Paris for school. They didn’t exchange information but planned on meeting six months after on the same place. Call my cynical but I believe this sort of situation only happens probably 20% in real life (???) because you may never know but the person you’re talking to is actually some kind of psycho killer or thief but I’m not denying that it’s romantic though. It’s just that the world is not a safe place to live in and we all have to be vigilant if we want to live. 

On the second movie, nine years after the events of the first, you could really see the drastic changes between the two main characters. Jesse, a now successful writer and a married man with a son named Hank, writes a book on his experiences nine years prior while Celine becomes an environmentalist and an activist with a long distance war photographer boyfriend. Everything was fine until Celine read his book and decided to attend his last book tour at her favorite bookshop in France. Sparks fly and their feelings once again reignited upon meeting but they only have an afternoon since Jesse is to fly back to the US in the evening. It was also known that Jesse actually went back to Vienna as planned. However, Celine was not able to make it due to her grandmother’s death which happened on the same day of their plan. In this movie, you could see how both characters were unhappy with their current situations despite their excellent contributions to their respective careers. Personally, I somehow relate myself with Celine and her unluckiness in her love life after having several ex-partners who each got married after breaking up with her and calling her thanking her how she helped them in knowing what love is. I mean, wow, are we grooming men to be the future husbands of other women??? Hahahaha I just can’t with the idea.

The third film is set another nine years after the events of Before Sunset. They are now together here with twins after Jesse divorced his wife in the US. They had a deal to have their son, Hank, visit them every Summer. This movie made so much improvements compared to the previous ones because it touched so many topics with multiple characters and conversations present and also highlights the conflict between Celine’s career and Jesse’s frustration in being a father with his elder son. The family are invited in Greece by a famous writer for a six-week vacation. The infamous fight between Jesse and Celine marks the climax of the movie and people were wondering if they would really end up 56 more years to match the 74 marriage years of Jesse’s grandparents. I can’t also help but relate with Celine, not as a mother but as a woman. Because of the patriarchal principles established in our society wherein women are expected to stay at home, tend to the children and the house -- the woman is capable and wants to do the things she loves to do that would empower her as an individual but finds it hard to do it because of being tied with her family. I understand Jesse’s dilemma as well since he is aware of the effects of their divorce to his son and there is this constant pressure of saving him from the impending effects who lives miles away from where they are based. Jesse wanting to be with Hank means Celine giving up her career thus, starting a conflict in their married life. If I were them, they can settle a schedule where Jesse travels to and fro to stay with Hank for a couple of weeks perhaps without neglecting his father and husband duties with Celine and Nina and Ella and then Celine can now go on with her plans and aspirations for her career. It may be hard but marriage and love consist of compromises and sacrifices for the ones you love and yourself. They just have to meet somewhere in between.

Remember when I said I started watching the trilogy after seeing snippets of Before the End with Jesse and Celine in a video call, separated? I probed a fan and apparently that wasn’t real and they were pieces of interviews put together to make it look legit. God, I was so relieved because I think I couldn’t bear yet the idea of them eventually separating given with that tense events in the third movie. It was a nice try for the fans though. At least it fooled me to finally start watching it hahahahahaah

The Before Series taught me so much about life that it really is not always magic and butterflies. The transformation of Celine from being a romantic French girl to a careful, fearful woman got me a lot and made me realize that it’s actually hard to find someone to spend your life with and appreciate mundane stuff with. Jesse’s cynical and depressed personality made him write books as a way of channeling his inner emotions and make them alive. People with deep emotions are usually the ones inclined to arts and I could never agree more. And of course, the connection established among people is something the series showed me and it’s one of the most important foundations in building relationships as long as you are honest and genuine within yourselves. 

The storyline was actually based on a real life event by the director of the trilogy himself. Apparently, the real woman inspired by Celine’s character died before the release of the Before Sunrise in which the director only knew of this in 2010.

Ok yes. I saw a random tweet that led me down a rabbit hole and now I’m here. I’ve been looking for a sane part of the internet of Dechartgames that isn’t shrouded in worship. I just went through some of your old posts and omg. Also a woc who didn’t feel QUITE comfortable in the fandom by the time late 2018 rolled around. Ugh I really wanted to dive into all of those links about the negative impact B + A’s community has had in the fandom but they’re gone now :-( Also I wanted to point out how Neil seems to be a better ally and who has also moved on from DBH even though he also streams on twitch.

Someone else pointed out how B+A only care about subs and money which yes. Twitch subs and their merch appears to be their bread and butter at the moment, BUT there’s this one particular fan of theirs that seems to go overboard with the donations and gift subs, sometimes dropping more than a half a grand worth of gift subs and stickers in one stream. I think to date they’ve gifted 4000 subs (which Twitch weirdly announced). If it were me I would be a bit concerned because of the signs of para social relationships and not wanting someone to go broke over a free to watch platform. But nope they smile and move on lol.

So curious as to what off camera interactions you’ve witnessed because as we know social media and what is essentially their weekly tv show is not 100% real. Again comforting to see some of this shared suspicion and feelings. This has turned into a long rant but yes also their constant praise of DBH even during all of the bad PR David Cage was getting back in 2018-2019 is gross. They don’t have to burn bridges, but these anniversary streams and such omg let it go. Idk how you can be an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and still speak positively about a guy who allegedly did a nude composite of Elliot Page and displayed it at a party.

idk how twitch works however damnnnn that sounds like a lot of money being blown on people that do not deserve it. like yeah, you can spend your money as you like though whenever i think how people can use that money in more meaningful ways, it just upsets me. i remember years ago, i had reached out to somebody on twt who had some really terrible experiences in the dechartgames community and let me in on some insight and it's sooooooo bizarre how more ppl haven't spoken out about it then again, it isn't THAT weird given the cult-like environment they've cultivated.

not me personally but again, the ppl that have messaged me in the past during the height of the dechartgamism where i was talking extensively about them. yeah, idk how these ppl who obviously own a laptop and computer who could easily search up david cage online and find out the gross and vile shit he has done and still advocate for him and his games. respect but i do think they should really move on from dbh like everyone else and explore the world around them. to me, you cannot be an ally and associate yourself with bigots and bigoted media. it really goes hand in hand and if they cared, they would close up the dbh shop for good

As a system we hop accounts so often, it's difficult to want to do a monthly subscription to get some badges that are tied to those blogs.

However if there was a big drive like once a year, twice a year, whatever, like for AO3 like they mention, I'd donate if I knew it would keep tumblr open. But the idea of tying pament info to my blog when i know within a year or so we might move accts again is just... not right imo, not for us anyway.

Self review is good like I do one when I am modeling outflow, and surprisingly last year was good in a way just not December. I considerably feel better when I’m not 9-5 but have more sustainment anxiety for obvious reasons, so I feel like this year will be ok also. Not really hopeful but I’m intentional about pruning that shit. Tumblr taps into mind palace mechanics they used to have direct memories they are now more emotional impressions. I feel ok about that flux year and honestly that often has not been the case, I think it’s easy to click hole memories on auto.

Youtube(no acct) reddit tumblr tiktok. News is an ok place to start but I like hearing random things from public personal rants. No keywords you used the last three months. Everyone is online all the time wtf.

I try to do these if I’ve had a lot of hyper focused recreational days that are fulfilling in some specific ways usually just on tumblr. Twitter is a place I use for current events and if I’m worried about political climate/safety but I can’t really douse what existing is like on twitter it doesn’t feel like people are real. I think as you get older your neural plasticity gets worse and if you have brain damage worse yet. Mostly I just don’t wanna feel like I don’t know what it’s like to emotionally be someone else who I’ve never modeled. We are all so insanely tuned by recommendations that when you just see a chaotic sample none of the glitter that feeds our dopa/etc is near the level we get on AI recommendations. Like have you tried to go to a new location without google maps fucking try it. It’s feels to me like a plasma ball but you add chaos occasionally to escape the click hole landscape that is social media. It’s been a while since I’ve done this but the inverse made me think of it and I promised myself I’d write this post at some point. I don’t tokenize too hard the point is like trying to walk without rhythm everything we see we split into bits more like a harmless stalker would silently haunt, well like Dwight in the office with the cpr doll. I kid but like have you ever had emotions based on others situations and not the news, I give it a solid 5 I should probably turn my Facebook on, it is however highly filtered. Harassment basically depends on how safe I feel, can’t include anyone else in that umbrella if at all. It’s winter time and it’s pants only and I’m not tuned to speak let alone in pitch/makeup so I get it. Like most of my interactions with humans at this point are just random insults at me at the grocery store hold the door or whatever. I hate that we remember every possibly damaging thing and forget every safe encounter. Honestly i regularly think about that person in Norway that didn’t correct people misgendering their child and that the experience and even current polar state on that day was a personal and when we want private thing and I want to exist in a world more like that world but maybe cause I just would have rather been born there. The world is fake as fuck and I don’t mean trans people we understand fuck all.
