persona 5 the animation WISHES it could give ren the character that rokuro saito does in mementos mission. like nice try but this one's 1000x more interesting, charming, creatively built off the game's canon, and prettier. and also he has an entire chapter dedicated to him crossdressing for like completely no reason and enjoying it so bonus points. extra ass man

Interesting Little Mementos Detail...

Shoutout to Donnie over in the Cult of Akechi Discord, for their observation on how the different layers of Mementos sort of correspond to the persona awakenings, cause hoo boy:

The different layers are even color coded to each respective Phantom Thief too (either with their respective "official colors" like the SNS or their outfit color pallets, or the palaces they awoke in)

Joker, Ryuji, and Ann's in Kamoshida's Palace:

Yusuke's in Madarame's Palace:

Makoto's in Kaneshiro's Palace:

Futaba's in her own palace:

Haru's in Okumura's Palace:

Akechi's (specifically the engine room in Shido's palace, since that's the closest he got outside of Identity V's version of Robin Hood):

Although Sumi was added later on in Royal, and Sheriuth was technically the last path in OG Mementos, it's insane how they both match the same color pallet.

In regards to Vanilla P5 though, same can also be said about Joker here too, especially since he awakes again to Satanael shortly after this path:

And last but not least you've got Maruki (not a PT but hey, still a persona user), who started off in the stark white suit similar to this path, but eventually wore a gold outfit (which the path also has slight traces of with the yellow accents on the platforms):

God there's just so much to analyze in this game years later, it's crazy 😭🩷
