periodpiece for the ask game!

Hello!! Here are some tidbits about that one:

I really want this fic to read like a classic romance novel, so right now periodpiece is tentatively titled "It Happened on the way to Kakariko". I'm not sure if the the title will stick, but I want it to have that kind of vibe.

The main conflict comes from the fact that Zelda's father suddenly became ill, her uncle takes over the estate, and she only has a few months to either marry the one of the suitors he's picked or be thrown out.

Meanwhile: Link has just returned to Hyrule now that the war in Termina is winding down. He's struggling to return to a normal life and is standoffish in polite society, which doesn't do anything to help his popularity.

He and Zelda knew each other when they were kids, and she coerces convinces him to pose as a potential suitor to keep the rest of them at bay while she tries to figure out why her father is suddenly so ill. Zelda promises that it's a purely platonic deal, and they'll go their separate, totally friendly ways at the end of it.

CLEARLY they're not going to fall in love. Nope. No way.

Literally this i was obsessed w these two, like second season of brigderton has got to be the most intense brigerton season i have seen

These two had such a hold over me, I just binged this season finally.

I am so late to this. I never finished the first season of Bridgerton. I know, I am as surprised as you, but I didn’t really enjoy the first season for a variety of reasons. But, I did have it spoiled for me. So I watched this season in 1 day.

There are issues with this season, many, most of all that it is a little too long, but I don’t even care. Because I have Anthony and Kate. I love the angst, the passion, the love declarations (all 15 of them). I haven’t seen a romance that made me feel like this in a while. A looooong while. There are so many other plots in this season that I could not care less about, but the entire time I was watching I was itching to see them interact again, flash a look, a smile or yell at each other.

More TV shows need to do this please and thank you.

Also credit to Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley for their insane chemistry I guess.

The Northman (2022) Director: Robert Eggers Simply a beautiful movie. gorgeous landscapes and cinematography. there were lulls around the middle of the film that hurt it for me, but the beginning and the climax were engaging and exciting. Casting for this film was well done, all the actors did great jobs and there were no weak performances. I do wish that we saw more of Willem Dafoe's character but that is a personal grip. Grief, and what comes After -> a very angsty, self-indulgent Twilight Princess fic about Link and Zelda and how they move on after the events of the game.

UniversityAUFORREAL -> a much more lighthearted au where Zelda is Link's history tutor at university

PeriodPiece -> an OoT regency romance, a la Lisa Kleypas or Julia Quinn

Formulaaaaaa -> a very bare bones outline of an F1 au

Festival Vibes -> a short, smutty TP fic that takes place in the days leading up to Zelda's coronation (different universe than Grief)
