Throwing it back to one of my favorite cosplays of all time: Winter Lapis at Holiday Matsuri. I wanted to do a very fantastical inspired Lapis and I really think this one took the cake. @lazulicos on insta made these stunning wings that really took it next level. Photography done by @geekymermaidproductions on insta so you know the details are popping ✨ My darling @for_the_love_of_clod on insta as Peppermint Peridot will always be my favorite part, of course. I couldn’t see and could barely move but I really did feel very happy with this one at the end of the day.

1. Garnet, of course. She's my role model. She's so calm but she has a lot of feelings, she's a good mother, she fights well, she meditates and she's literally made of love. I love her so much!

2. Pearl. I think I'm projecting a lot of my insecurities in her? She's very anxious and she's a veteran with PTSD (all Crystal Gems except Amethyst are such, but it's very clear with Pearl). And she manages to get better.

3. Peridot. She's a nerd, she's autistic, she manages to deconstruct her HomeWorld shitty view of the world, she's a tech bro, she's on Twitter, she's a shipper, she's everything to me

4. Bismuth. I'd like to cosplay her one day. She's a powerful warrior but she's also a lover, she's a radical leftist, she wants direct action. She thinks that sometimes, violence is the answer. And I agree with her.

5. Lapis Lazuli. She's depressed, she has been trapped in an abusive relationship, she's not a perfect victim, she had a toxic behavior in the past but she's working on it, she tries to be better
