going to the beach or even outside the lines of Jericho was definitely out of your comfort zone, but when your boyfriend had practically begged to take you there for your anniversary you knew you couldent say no.

“are we almost there yet..” you ask, breaking the silence of just the driving car. your boyfriend is obviously to focused on the road to hear you. “xavier!” he turns to you, obviously spooked, before the color drains back into his face as quick as it left. “almost there I promise” he smiles with that sweet smile you adore.

and as quick as you knew it, you where there.you stared out the window, breathless as you looked at the colorful sky filled with lights and darks, all blended in perfectly with the fluffly cirrus clouds, god it was so pretty, it reminded you of your boyfriends paintings. your eyes then drifted to the actual beach, which was almost as beautiful as the sky. white sand covering the area, with a small dock as the light blue waves slowly rushed onto shore and back out. you then noticed a small bench down the steps to the beach, right by the shore. you must of zoned out because as soon as you knew it, xavier had turned off the car ignition.

“here” he said, turning to you with that goofy grin he did when he was excited. It reminded you of a little boy almost.you heard his car door open as he got out, taking your hand as you joined him, walking down the plank steps almost built into the sand, you could feel the grains of sand under your feet,on the surface of the steps.

“I used to come here when I was little” he said suddenly, breaking the silence. “It was kind of my spot to come here and draw” he said, eying the waves as you walked closer. you turn to his tall figure. “really?”

“yes really” he replies, almost with a giggle as you two sit down on a bench by the shore, your hand still in his as he pulls you closer. wrapping his arm around your small build, he leans in and presses a tender kiss to your forehead which has your cheeks turning a tint rose as he looks back at the water, then, speaking again. “I’ve wanted to take you here for awhile you know” he admits, not taking his eyes off the waves. “it’s such a perfect spot since nobody is ever here” you turn to him as he on instinct, turns to you. “thank you for taking me here xav, it’s truly beautiful” you smile sweetly, pulling him in for a kiss. god he was so perfect, everything you could ever ask for was right here infront of you. how could you be this lucky, you thought. he must of been thinking the same about you as he spoke again.

“I love you, a lot actually. it scares me sometimes how much too” he admits, giggling and rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. “I feel like I’ve been waiting my whole life for you. I mean, your truly perfect. seeing you smile makes me feel like all my sorrows go away, or just seeing you in general. i cant even explain it. but what I truly love most about you is your eyes. the way I can read you. the way you light up when you see something that makes you happy, or even when your sad. It just.. makes my stomach flip.” he admits tenderly, looking at the waves crashing onto shore. you sit there next to him, astonishined. “xavier..” you breathe, at a loss for words.

suddenly, he turns to face you. “I mean everything I said, every. single. word. your the best thing that has ever happened to me y/n.”

you find yourself with butterflies panicking in your stomach, bubbling, the feeling you feel can’t even be described. then, you pull him in for a kiss. as soon as your lips met you felt a electricity volt inside of you, like a lightbulb that was once off is sudden on. you don’t even know how to say it, ever. but then their on that bench by the beach you knew for a fact you couldn’t loose this boy. ever.
