So how's the PJO show so far? Is it alright, meeting any standards?

I actually really enjoyed it. Its definitely has its differences from the book. This isn't a 1-1 adaption things definitely have been changed. But so far I haven't run into any difference that is inheringtly bad. Just sometimes need to think on why they made it and sometimes realize that in some ways it makes more sense than the og. (no this is not about the casting choices I have no issuses with those. lets make that abundantly clear.)

I know some people have had an issue with a more minor characters writing. I honestly didn't. And anyway we got a bunch more episodes for that one to live up to their expectations. And plenty more oppurtunities.

But overall its a fun time and I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season.

So again, older drawing of Wyll (it's my birthday and the current wip is kicking my ass).

It's a goddamn crime that we cant kill Mizora but we can sleep with her for some stupid reason. It's like if we could sleep with Cazador, Gortash, or Mother Viconia. I think we should cut Pissora's head off to parallel Karlach's fate.

I was originally going to go with the classics like percus and Medusa or a painting of David holding that head but I found this painting of Judith with the head of Holofernes by Circle of Michele Desubleo (I think I spent like 20-30 minutes finding nothing concrete really). Loved the pose but brain wasn't working with how to do his twists and figure out his neck, so I went with a different hairstyle. Is it impractical for fighting in the hells? Absolutely. Does it serve righteous justice? Absolutely. Also the weird intestine neck stuff is me thinking about snakes and shit. Wanted something dramatic. Also I hate the outfit so much. Ugh.

Blurbo for a percy jackson piece that itched my mind mid crying session, still not sure if I should publish though...

When Percy had first set his eyes upon them, he noticed her hands first before their name, their soft, smooth looking hands that although was marred by scratches and their ctuticles looked like it was picked on multiple times, as quickly as Percy set his eyes on their hands, they hid it behind their back as Chiron called Percy's name for the second time.

"Percy?" Chiron said, noticing the far-off look on the boy's eyes

Percu snapped his eyes quickly to Chiron's form, afraid that Chiron was gonna reprimand him for not listening, years of being subjected to cruelty made him cautious.

However instead of angry eyes, Percy saw Chiron's amused eyes peering at him, Chiron nudged forward a child, who looked just about the same age as Percy, the child had a young youthful face however their eyes looked as though they had seen wars, heartbreaks and basically everything, their eyes looked haunted although the hauntedness within them didn't deter Percy from thinking they were pretty, Percy couldn't explain it however no matter how but this child, this person, felt scarrily familiar, maybe Percy had seen them in his dreams? His dreams were often very odd to him before this whole Camp-Halfblood business, maybe he had passed by them in a park or something? Something, somewhat, Percy felt a familiar feeling with this person.

Percy met Brainstorm (doesn't have his mallet yet) one night at Maccadam's.

He got out of work, a long cycle in the lab doing research for new sources of fuels for Metroplex, so he needed some relaxing time. So why not take a glass at the bar?

One, two, and at his third of the night, he was already a bit drunk, not used to do this very often. Two mechs of the bar notice him and try to get into his panels. Percy refuses, telling them to frag off, he wasn't going to come with them in their hotel room, but the two mechs insist. After refusing countless times, one of them grab him by the waist and try to make him stand to litteraly botnapping him.

His partner suddenly falls to the ground after a loud BANG, and the one holding Perceptor is tackle to the ground.

Before Perceptor can even fall to the ground, a bot catches him. He looks up at the mech, a yellow masked face plate and a visible jet alt-mode.

"Are you alright? Did they hurt you?"

Perceptor, being half drunk, still process what just happened.

"Who are you ? And what did you do?"

"Oh well, i just entered the bar when i saw them harrassing you. Couldn't let them keep doing their awful stuff could i? And the name is Brainstorm, true genius amongst my kind."

Perceptor looks at him unphased.

"Well thank you Brainstern, but i could handle it myself... don't need help from a twink like you..."

"Ah, i see you are drunk. It's okay, you didn't hurt my feelings, i'm completly fine. But you are not. Let's get you to your home. Can you walk ?"

It's at this moment Perceptor really notice that Brainstorm is keeping him stiddy, his arms under his armpits without touching anything else with his servos. Percu tries to let him go, saying he can totally walk by himself, when he actually couldn't. So Brainstorm convinces him to help him to his appartment.

On the way, the engex got into his processor more than he thought and Brainstorm had to carry him princess style.

They arrive at the scientific aera of the city and Brainstorm was amazed. He never knew there were quarters made for scientists.

Brainstorm may be a sciences genius, but he was never recognise as one. Due to his MTO status, he would never be able to work in anything else than the army as a simple soldier. He suffered from this condition, but at least, he could always make his little experiences in the back of his officers. Guns, explosive devices, and the one he is currently working on is a new kind of fuel. And he was about to create a perfectly working formula. That detail attrcted Percy's interest. Brainstorm tells him he built by himself a little lad in the underground of his base, only known by him. Everytime he has some free time, he goes there and do sciences.

They arrive at Percy's appartment, and Brainstorm politely decline to enter, putting the scientist down and ready to leave. But Percy insists, and tell him he could work with him secretly.

"It is a very kind proposition, but i'd like to make myself a name. I don't know how yet, but i will."

And on this, Brainstorm left, waving his goodbyes.

Percy went to lay in his sofa, somewjat sad that the jet had left. He couldn't let that one leave him.

And it clicks. He can't have Brainstorm leave him. He doesn't know why. He doesn't know how. He just want the mech by his sides, at least for tonight.

So he rushes out, impressed he can walk with his foggy mind, and catches the jet before he could exit the building. He had his servo on the exit code panel.

"Don't leave me."

Brainstorm looks at him surprised, and a silence installs between them, staring at each other.

"Stay. At least for tonight."

Percy looks at the mech he has in front of him, finally seeing him. A slim turquoise frame, a long cockpit on his chest, two pairs of wings, and yellow optics. Percy doesn't remember if he had ever seen yellow optics before. At this moment He only knows those ones.

"Why would you want a stranger to stay?"

It was a genuine question. Yeah, why does Percy wants him to stay?

"I don't know. But please. Stay."

They look at each others in silence. Then Brainstorm let go of the panel code and approach him, ready to follow his back to his unit.

"You are drunk. You don't know what you say."

"I do know what i want."

Together they go back to the unit. And there, when the door is closed, they stare at each other again. But Brainstorm slowly take off his mask.

"I don't think you want that" pointing at his face.

"What makes you think i don't want that?".

Perceptor approach him and without thinking much he goes on his tip toes and give his dermas a long, delicate kiss. Brainstorm doesn't respond, too shocked to have the scientist right there.

"You..."

"Is it okay?"

Brainstorm looks at Perceptor baffled.

"You are drunk, i don't want to take over. You don't know what you are doing."

"Yeah... you're right, i'm sorry... can... can we cuddle? I still want you by my side. For tonight."

Brainstorm think, then accept, on the condition that he will not engage in anything sexual during the time Perceptor is still drunk.

So they lay in the sofa, entagled in each other's embrace, watching a movie. Perceptor falls into recharge, so Brainstorm turns off the TV and decide to stay by his side, for him to not wake up alone and cold. He traps Percy's body between his arms, his chin resting on his helm and slowly his frame goes into reset.

First, please don’t feel you have read this whole thing-it’s a stream of consciousness love letter. Dearest, dearest, dearest To Venus And Back💗 you are my second favorite Tori record, and my only “ all purpose” one, meaning I don’t have to be in a particular mood, I just push play and float in your interplanetary glow. If I had to describe you in one word, it would be LUSCIOUS. I’ll never forget Tori describing Venus on VH1 Women First as “a bleeding watercolor coning out of your speakers.” Listening this morning, I was taken aback by the perfection of every note, every breath, every sound. So I’m doing things differently this time-going song by song to luxuriate in your beauty.

-Bliss-the last cassette I bought “in real time.” Your dark, mysterious tone, your driving intensity of the last, repeated chorus, the timbre and tone of Tori’s voice (here and throughout the record), the “weird Tori-“ness of the verses, the “I said”’s. So freaking good

-Juarez-Bliss is fantastic, but it was when I heard Juarez for the first time, I KNEW this record would be thebomb.com. Only T could make just 3 piano notes so haunting and effective. The percussion, the “rubber band” twanging sound (obsessed) the background harmony, the lyrics, the breathy vocals and the way they trail off at the end of some of the lines. I always envision a purple desert(all the songs are purple. The songs and the album art mirror each other completely)

-Concertina-so light and airy, with some slightly jagged edges from guitar

-Glory Of The 80’s-it always tickles me that there’s HARPSICHORD in the very beginning. Another thing only T could do, make harpsi work in a song set in space. “Orbiting around”,always reminds me of Black Dove for some reason. Yaaaas Bugle Boy Models, Silicon Party Barbies, drag kings called Venus, and “karma drawn up in lines”-a nod to the prevalence of coke during the decadent decade! And yes, I bought The Story of O (in the wild at a used book store) because of this song

-Lust- my sweet, sweet, girl. You’re absolutely “one of my best friends out of all the songs,” and one of my most used phone alarms. Beautiful, ethereal lyrics, and a piano refrain that, like the slithery keyboard of Riot Poof’s chorus, never, ever, ever loses her shine. I listened to this song a lot when I was homesick at college. Love, love, love. She lives inside my bones

-Suede-subterranean, dark, purple and dull glowing green like electronic lights. The Pay Per View performance is my JAM. “Swallow her whole star intact-I mean!!

-Josephine-Such a dear heart. I love the stripped down recording against sparkling mental images of Paris at night, looking out over the city. And “empty like the Tuileries” always carries extra poignance as an illusionto Tori’s miscarriages

-Riot Poof- MY GIRL! sensual, reptilian, warm, a GROOVE. Another song where I love all the sounds. The chorus has been my ringtone since 2008. A VIBE.

-Datura-I mean!!! Epic in every sense of the word, withThe epitome of lusciousness. The Dionysian, ancient vibe of the the first part, with a pagan veneration of nature herself, flower by flower. The flowers of Tori’s garden in Florida at the time and a real moment for anyone like me who loves Tori’s speaking voice. Then “is there room in my heart…” I alway visualize flying through dark space among the stars. The zinging/shooting star sound is one of my favorite sounds on the whole album. Obsessed. Then we float out even further to the “Dividing Canaan” part-when the percussion, especially the cymbals, becomes a intergalactic ocean where we swim, and swim, and swim. The first time I listened to this song, I thought a new song had started, and was confused. Later during that time, “Dividing Canaan” became a vehicle for me for meditative, centering practice. I would balance a book on my head and focus my attention in a meditative gaze. I remember specifically using the book Naked Lunch, I think just because it was around

-Spring Haze-more amazing percussion. More purple land and skyscapes. I’ve always loved the slightly melancholy mood of this song, and the rhythmic interplay of the vocals, drums, and piano is a great example of the sonically detailed layering on the entire album-you really have to listen to SH to hear everything-like Datura, Riot Poof, GOT80’s, and Juarez. The deepening ocean is warm and lulling

-1,000 Oceans- Simple yet beautiful, the only landscape (Salisbury Hill) that evokes the color green. The piano mimics calm ocean waves. Another comfort song of love and protection

-Zero Point-This girl!! Another epic, another visit to a now apocalyptic Paris. I believe T made the right choice putting Datura on the record. I love how Zero Point was such a mystery for so long though. Datura and Zero Point are intrinsically connected because their “format” is exacttge same, and yet they are completely unique in themselves. I really took the litany at the end into my spirit and my identity when ZP first came out, and like Lust, she’s in my bones. I think a lot about the power of the ancient, universal, leaning feminine force the narrator has ascended into-she has access to the Om, the Vatican Library, and other “places”where sacred/secret knowledge of the universe and the self without Ego can be found for those who are dedicated to a spiritual quest of self and universal knowledge. Years ago, someone was collecting essays for a book about different things Tori. Zero Point/secret knowledge, involving the Mayans, Buddhism, and other shit. So, an exploration of a facet of The Divine Feminine. The project fell through, but I read a lot and researched, and I still have all those notes. Maybe I should restart that project for my own academic curiosity and achievement.

I think it took me about 2 hours to write this. This album lives behind me heart, a place Tori talked about while promoting the album. I love, love, love her. Happy Birthday, love; I’ll go anywhere with you(and back) always and forever 💜💜💜💜
