i think it's worth noting that the two coaches in messi's life who were able to get the most out of him and get sainted in return are pep and scaloni, who have one thing in common: being obsessed with messi
#galtier you bum are you seeing this#not like he cares pee es gee is built around mbappe not messi but god.. la scaloneta fc when#i rag on pep a lot for being bald and ppl nowadays write off a lot of pep's success with a casual 'leo made him what he is'#but i think it's a case of the right tool (messi) meeting the right user (pep)#i mean. messi used to be obsessed with coke and chips and candy and hated vegetables and pep is the one#who put dietary restrictions on him bc he didn't want his food habits to interfere with his football#pep was INVESTED#ibra called messi his star for a reason#anyways point is being obsessed with messi wins you awards

hello, just dropping in to ask how are you doing? i'm such a huge fan of your ihnmaims au and i'm just checking in if you're gonna do a continuation of your fic? anyway i am SO sorry if this offends you in any way and feel free to ignore this if it does!
I have a draft of ch5 sitting on my computer right now since like december/january XD. Life, work, and trying to finish up one of my 3D projects came up and it sort of went to sit on the backburner until a lot of stuff got figured out- especially since I sort of treat fandom related things as something to do when I don't have anything original I'm working on. I try not to spend too much time on fandom stuff as of late since I really want to put more time into my OCs/headworld/original stuff.
Don't worry about sending asks! I'm happy to answer them, I just tend to disappear when I'm busy lol.
That said, here's that 3D thing I mentioned, since I haven't really posted anything here in a long while.

I had a silly idea, what about an Cheshire Cat!reader x Alastor? (Feel free not to do this dearie ( ¡â¡) )
Haha. OMFG. A Cheshire Cat would really match with Alastor well! So, thank you, Lady Beelzebub! Iâll try this out!
Alastor- A Little Game
Vaggie has been so frustrated. Charlie has been trying to ease the crew. Husk is on the verge of murdering somebody. Niffty is annoyed that her cleaning equipment is gone. Angel is quite amused by whatâs going on and Alastor is very invested in the cause
Lately, the Hazbin Hotel has been dealing with a suddenly appearing invisible menace causing pranks after pranks nonstop; locking or trapping up doors, stealing items and storing them high up, whispering out in the halls at night
Alastor didnât suspect heâd ever run into the culprit of all this trouble but he has. After Charlie had been giving Vaggie a calmdown pep talk, the Princess politely asked Alastor to check around the hallways for any more prank remnants, the Overlord did so, just to see what he may find⌠and he made a incredible discovery
A floating cat-like sinner with magenta and pink colouring, most importantly, a big Cheshire wide grin. A rival of Alastorâs own smile and with almost half a body, as if cut in half
The sinner was in the midst of setting up a trap consisting a big silver bucket full of thick blood over the top of Alastorâs own hotel room door, but theyâve been caught in the act
And Alastor doesnât plan on dealing out punishment⌠heâs too amused
âAh⌠you must be the little troublesome beast causing so much disrupt in this Hotel?â Alastor asks almost immediately with literally no malice towards whatâs been going on, his transatlantic accent smooth and almost making his voice sound more friendly and warm than he actually is as this cat sinner⌠or otherwise, you
Just giggles under your breath and disappears into thin air properly with the wide grin floating in the air for a few seconds almost magically before dissipating with you
âAnd if I have?â Your voice rings out after a few more seconds of silence, disembodied, invisible. You canât be tracked with eyes but Alastorâs powerful magic can pinpoint where you are by detecting your own demonic magic, sharply looking over his shoulder to be greeted with your floating head
Just your head⌠no body, itâs like before when it was half of your torso. Now, itâs just your head. Your magic is a lot like the storybook fairytale character, Cheshire Cat
But thatâs because youâre the most Cheshire Cat person anybody will ever met. Alastor couldnât help but be so amused by you; youâre skilled, youâre snarky, you know what youâre doing and youâre resourceful, good at planning
Able to have avoided being caught by everybody in the Hotel for months now and youâre lucky enough to have been caught by the one member who enjoyed the chaos and madness the pranks caused
âI believe you must avoid the others if soâ Alastor proclaims, almost mysterious and still silky in that radio-laced but classy and dapper tone as you tilt your head confused. For the first time, youâve been snapped out of your mischievous chaotic demeanour
You suspected him to bark, to growl, to be annoyed so him not is so odd to you but quickly brushing it off, you manifest your whole body into frame. Cute fluffy striped cat-like ears flicking and long fluffy cat-like tail curling around, almost like a coil spring
You couldnât really understand this Overlord, something you donât like. Youâd prefer people to be confused by you, by your style of insanity and madness, by your enjoyment of causing so much disorder and high-tension emotions
You were about to speak, basically floating over his shoulder before Alastor beats you to the punch. You canât tell if youâll like him or despise him with the way he speaks, almost condescending
âIf youâre going to make my project topsy-turvy, I suggest do a better prankâ

GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ALL THE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN IN IT âHUSBAND!JACK SCHLOSSBERG COMFORT HEADCANONS đź đ˘đ¸
jack schlossberg fan fiction is for the lovers
WIFE!READER returns and is the orion carloto archetype, who balances modelling and writing, and i imagine her making tiktoks in the same vain of alanabananaxox (she's been my no.1 tiktoker since 2021) and sotce on tiktok.
taglist: @candyneckl6ce @rocker-chick-7 @ultr4v1ol3nt @violetharmonsfavgf @strip-weather-forecast @darcyspirits @fortheloveofjos @h-l-v-kennedy-blog @h-l-vlovesvintage @bluelancergirl @snowsgames @salvatoresablondie @dulcegal @kennedyism @bloxholden35 @kimcrystal123 @absurdlyvintage @jackiesgirl @chemicalw0rld @remotewatch @starsprangledgirl
no matter the stressor husband!jack literally treats it as a top-priority emergency
immediately goes to start a bath for you in your gorgeous copper bathtub (cause of course you have a copper bathtub ... duh) with some suzzane kaufman bath salt's that he picked up down in greenwich after a meeting with vogue's magazine department.
husband!jack is a freak for baths and it's rubbed off on you ... seriously like that man takes baths multiple times a week, on top of daily showers
if he had to be out on a day you were particularly anxious for whatever reason he would come home with a laundry bag of new tasteful yet cute stuffed animals from loewe and never tell you the prices cause he knows you'd crash out
is great at being a body pillow and has no shame just laying in silence together for hours
would try to make you feel better by getting the overpriced (not in your opinion) criterion subscription just so you could watch vintage halloween movies without running a risk of getting hacked on some third-party sketchy website
would 100% let you live in his clothes while he was out of the house so you could feel comforted even if he wasn't physically near
would absolutely try to distract you with light comedy, despite his cockiness he is indeed a funny guy so it helps slightly
husband!jack would be such a proponent of a healthy mind is a healthy body so he'd make you go do jump rope with him (cause why does jump roping have to be so humiliating) or even worse takes you out to paddle board, like imagine your knee-deep in that melancholic state where you only read plath novels and listen to unreleased lana and your boyfriend drags you out to go paddle boarding???? like cmon now
you do feel better afterwards but you would never tell him that
if you guys owned any pets together he would without a doubt tell you he's going to be out for a couple of hours and come back with one of those portrait paintings of house-pets to cheer you up (editors note: vang olsen mimi does the most delightful pet paintings if your in greenwich!)
he would absolutely NOT be above trying to self-medicate your problems (within reason) by smoking w*ed with you or sharing a cigar being the chicest couple ever!
would 100% smother you in delightfully soft cashmere blankets in the pattern of gorgeous tapestries
would earnestly read poems (robert frost, emily dickinson, and shakespeare) to you to get you to sleep on the especially hard days
is a devout optimist and routinely talks you out of your doom scrolling
always holds space for whatever emotions you are feeling but always wants to provide solutions to your problems
and when he encounters a problem he can't so easily fix he invests time into getting your mind off it and plans steps you can take to lessen the hold whatever your stressing about has on you
writes mini impromptu love letters/pep talks on the empty spaces in your agenda notebook (wife!reader would totally own more than 1 of these louise carmen organisers in an apropos shade of autumn scarlet )
encourages you to do self-care rituals with your staple skincare products by letting you do the exact same steps on him
while husband!jack cooks for you both you read him your favourite chapters of "democracy" by joan didion in the kitchen every night and it remains a pillar in your routine despite the tumult
during your hard times jack is serving peak husbandry doing the washing, cooking and cleaning
when he's on his lunch break at the office you get text messages like this:
always makes sure that you take your medication (if you take any) at the exact times its supposed to be at and has little alarms on his phone
husband!jack would increase his acts of service to 1000% like that man would be taking your row boots into the cobbler for a new sole
would bring home flowers without a special occasion, just cause
would without a doubt bring out those STELLAR accents just to see you smile
disclaimer: this is all obviously fiction and i do not know this man nor how he calms anyone down, this is all for some fun distraction in these trying times.
to anyone struggling with the results and its ramifications (same here) i would really encourage you to read this beautiful (free) essay from alanabanaxox on patreon: https://www.patreon.com/posts/i-miss-dancing-115580140?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=postshare_fan&utm_content=web_share

The Orcas' Tale - Krill's Story I
a/n: I have... not much to say, although you should read the warnings. But I need you guys to know that this is 7.666 words long. I didn't make it this way intentionally, but if that isn't devilish, I don't know what is :')
Fandom: Original Content  Pairings: Yandere!Orca Merman x GN!AFAB!Reader Warnings: Yandere, Sexual Content (Nothing explicit yet just drug-induced neediness and description of a cock doing what a cock does, Size... adoration, Begging), Violence (Thrashing, Breaking of bones, fighting machines, Verbal threats, mention of medical tools, syringes), Getting drugged non-consensually, Description of being drugged up, Animalistic behavior, Mention of blood/claws/sharp teeth, Mention of Slavery, Mention of Abuse, Depiction of spoiled Food and Seal Meat, Very long post
"It truly is an impressive recovery of such a valuable resource! Being able to compare the exact date from years ago with now makes for a great opportunity in our research, and now we have two of them! This is your chance to recover from your mistakes all those years ago!"
With pep in his step, your supervisor led you through the long, cagey hallway of the facility, making it almost hard to follow him with all the enthusiasm he was displaying. You, on the other hand, felt nothing but dread as you held onto the notes you had been giving about your new project, almost feeling scared to glance at the papers.
You already knew what they'd say. The mistakes they'd speak of.
Because you were already familiar with the mermen, who had recently been caught by the facility. You freed them all those years ago out of shame and sympathy. And you paid the price, your unpaid labor bordering on slavery. Your choice had been death or continuing their research, and after looking down a gun barrel once, you decided to invest in your studies instead, the company willing to further your education and allow you to continue testing and working with the poor creatures they kept hereâalbeit with supervision.
"Talent like yours shouldn't be wasted," your supervisor recited the words of the facility owner, but they sounded like a warning coming from him rather than encouragement.Â
When he finally stopped at the door farthest down the corridor, you were appalled to see the number on it, finding it less than funny that they'd assigned the same room from years ago as your new laboratory again. All these little digs they made at you never let you forget that they were still angry about what you did to sabotage the facilityas if you could ever. These digs were just there to make you miserable and establish who your life belonged to. You were replaceable, but you wouldn't get out of this alive. If you wanted to survive and have even the slightest chance of escaping this place of horrors one day, you'd have to obey.Â
"So do better this time," your supervisor said, smiling down at you smugly as he pushed the door open, the heavy metals screeching with cold, metal bitterness. Bastard, you thought, walking inside the laboratory. The grate floor spread above the large pool beneath your feet throughout the whole room, making your steps audible as you entered. The water was calm, undisturbedâsuspicious.
"Oh, also, this one's been really angry ever since we brought him in. Better not let your head get bitten off! Would be a waste. You're too pretty to be a corpse just yet."
You whipped around with a glare, but all you saw was the smug grin on your supervisor's face before he shut the door with a loud bang. A mechanical lock slid into place with a whirring sound before everything became quiet around you. It was strange that they'd leave you here alone after what you did, but then again, there was no way you'd be able to recreate the mistakes you made. Even though you'd never receive any respect or sympathy from anyone in this cursed place, you couldn't help but stare at the metal door, plastered with warnings and reminders to leave equipment in the laboratory before leaving, wishing it would open again and let you out of here.
But that wouldn't happen.
It was ironic that they'd leave you alone with the merman you helped escape before, but the only way out was that door, and it needed a passcode to leave. One you didn't have. You'd eat, sleep, and work as they intended; there was no escaping this, even if the hope never left you. They didn't think you'd make it out alive unless they let you. Much less would you be able to help anyone escape again. Slowly, you turned forward, raising your head to look at the workstation on the opposite side of the room. You couldn't help from glancing downwards every few steps; caution was the only thing that kept you alive in this place.
But even as you made your way over to the station, your shadow undoubtedly making your presence known to the water, everything remained calm. The sound of machines running, keeping the pool intact, and the water bubbling from the pump were all that matched the sounds of your steps and breaths. For a "really angry" merman, this was suspicious. He must have known you were here, yet neither came to watch nor to attack you? You sighed inwardly, thinking about how much of a hassle it would be to actually get him to your examination area if you couldn't fish him out of the pool.
Once you reached the counters with the equipment, you set down the papers you had been given, spreading them out to scan over them. Even if you didn't want to interact again with these pitiful yet obscenely fascinating creatures, you knew that without any results from experimenting on them, you'd be stuck here for all eternity. The expectations were high that you'd find what everyone was looking for, even though the experiments were nothing short of cruel and disgusting. Drugs, surgery while awake, mutilationsâthose were just a few things you had watched the researchers do to these creatures. And for what?Â
Eternal life.Â
A fantasy.
How did you know? You were the one finding out that even if their life expectancy was closer to that of turtles, even the merfolks would die one day from old age. There was no such thing as living forever with the help of a mermaid's flesh, tears, or blood, and researching them brought forth interesting facts but not the results that this facility had been constructed for.
And yet, here you were, doing as you were told, trying to find anything that would be deemed interesting enough.Â
You heard a splash behind you, making you whip around, trying to make out a sign of life. Even though the floor was raised a few meters above the surface and the partition was closed so nothing could fall in or jump out of the water, it was still unsettling to hear but never see the creature you were locked up with. You knew better than to show fear openly to apex predators like the mermaids, but it had been so long since they let you near one that you could feel its presenceâor the lack thereofâfrightening you to the bone.
But you had to keep going, no matter what. Turning back to your papers, you spread them out with shaky hands, scanning over the information the first-contact team had collected. A large species, presumably orca-related, male, mature, and chipped. The last fact had been underlined twice, emphasizing the importance of it. This merman had already been in the facility, and they tracked it back to when you had been foolish enough to think you could save them. It had been years. Yet he and another one, as you heard through the grapevine, had come back against any better judgment, making you wonder about the intelligence you knew these creatures possessed.
However, no matter how much information you could absorb through the notes, you knew you were only stalling time. The next step would be getting this creature out of the pool and proceeding with your experiments, but the fear made you hesitate. This merman had been starving for a week in preparation for his exams, and although hunger wasn't a good state for anyone to be in, it was thought it might help to be the one feeding them when you needed their cooperation. Like you'd do with an animal. Unfortunately, they were too clever to fall for these ruses most of the time.
You still had to try.Â
Picking up some gloves, you went to the extensive double-doored fridge, pulling out the trays with seal meat on them. However, someone placed dead fish-heads between the pieces in varying states of decay. You took a deep breath, unwilling to give spoiled meat to the creature, even though you'd have to rely on it if you wanted to get anywhere. Picking out a slab of seal meat on the furthest corner of the tray, you just hoped it was mostly uncontaminated as you carried it over to the buttons that would part the floor into an opening from which the merman could be caught.Â
You hated pushing these buttons, everything reminding you of the biggest mistake of your life. Sure, you saved three mermen from this cruelty, but look what your efforts got you. 2 of them came back, and you were nothing more than a slave. Nothing turned out to be as heroic as in the books you read.
The metal grated against itself as it parted wide enough to allow feeding. Smaller species could have stuck an arm through the gap, but you knew from the past that it didn't work for any of the large specimens. At least that meant you were safe from an attack for now, though it was debatable how long. The meat sunk further and further down into the blue, but nothing happened. You leaned forward over the gap in anticipation, waiting for any kind of appearance in the wet. However, when the water finally stirred, causing slight waves to appear, it wasn't a shadow that moved through it, and neither did it give any mind to the food.Â
You jumped back in surprise, your body hitting the wall next to the buttons, when fingers lurched out of the water, gripping the ends of the partition and pushing them apart. Water splashed everywhere as the merman tried to widen the gap. The metal resisted initially, but even such a strong material bound to an even stronger machine relented under constant pressure.Â
As the cool water hit your face, you finally snapped out from the shock, slamming your hand down on the buttons that would close the floor and set the machines into motion to work against the abnormal strength of a merman. The two forces rung with each other for a few seconds before the machine finally did its thing and closed the gap, but it felt like minutes of struggling, of holding your breath in anticipation.Â
The merman held onto the metal for as long as possible, and you listened to the gut-wrenching sound of something breaking before he finally let go, the splashing of water dying down. The floor never fully closed, leaving a small gap not even your hand would fit through. Still, you were unsure if the merman succeeded in the end by breaking the mechanical device or if it had been his fingers that broke from the pressure. You wished you didn't have to find out.Â
Sinking to your bottom, you took deep breaths, calming yourself. Heart racing and head spinning from the lack of a constant airflow, you watched the water, terror, and anticipation mingling. If the floor broke, it would at least delay your second encounter with this creature for a while. But if not, you'd have given it one more reason to be angry. You watched as his dark shadowâno, body moved through the water, his movements agitated, restless. All you felt was misery, knowing you were causing this distress to him again.
You still had no clue which one of the three it was, although the body was too large to be the smallest of the three "Lyr". Due to the experiments, he had lost a significant amount of body weight and muscles, as well as his mental stability. They would have put him down had you not freed them, as he became a risk quickly. You thought you were doing them a favor by saving them, but you had no idea if Lyr ever made it out in the wild. Judging by the quick thinking and the strength of the orca roaming below you, it was more likely to be either "Nerrocan" or "Krill". Their names were burned into your mind like silent reminders of your biggest mistake and greatest accomplishment alike.Â
But the secret was quickly revealed when the merman finally seemed to calm down, swimming out into the back of the room for a moment and giving you time to collect yourself, too. You were still sitting on your ass, none the wiser, when you noticed black and white hairs emerging from further down the pool, slowly, cautiously drifting back towards you. As if on the prowl.
Surely he was waiting for another chance to wreck the floor open and try to escape. There was no reason for this creature not to be out to harm you, and you were such an easy prey, caught in this room with him. Your death wouldn't be mourned, but you also couldn't help pitying this merman, not knowing that your death would probably be his, too. Soldiers wouldn't hesitate to shoot something that was stronger, more deadly, and had too much freedom if they had to, even if it was a valuable species to study. You wondered which merman it was, and feeling a little safer with the floor closed, you leaned forward, trying to make it out.
The most brilliant of red spied out of the water the moment you looked down at it. Unmistakably, like polished rubies, these eyes followed your every move. You watched your own muscles tense and the horror in your expression as you realized which of the three mermen it was before you saw your own gaze fill with sadness in his eyes.
Krill.
The reason you risked everything.
His brows furrowed, then lifted as if surprised, too, although his body stayed submerged, tense and ready to act. There was no way he'd remember you, was there? Despite your doubts, you raised a hand, giving him a silly little wave before addressing him directly.Â
"Hello⌠again."
He said nothing, and you realized he must have forgotten you. It was better that way for now⌠even if it stung after all you did to help him.Â
Holding onto the wall, you got back on your feet, not wanting to be such an easy target and so close to him. He could try something again, and you'd be at a disadvantage if you couldn't even walk. "I'm sure it's uncomfortable, but I need you out of the water for a while. You remember it, right?"
You held your palm above the button that would activate The Fisher, a machine that could detect and catch unwilling mermaids by itself. But you were still close to the opening, so any reassurance from the merman would have been nice to have.
"Go ahead, open that gate again. See where that gets you," Krill threatened, and you believed him. His brows furrowed, teeth gnashing as his anger returned, and you had to realize that he was no longer like the sweet merman you once cared for. Sure, he had been drugged and broken into submission back then, but he had still treated you somewhat kindly, gifting you rocks and following you around the enclosure like a lost puppy. If you didn't know it better, you two had been somewhat close back then, having come to an understanding despite your differences. That was not the case anymore, you could see it.
"You'll see, I'll get out of here, and you'll regret capturing me again."
That hurt. It hadn't been your choice. If it had been your choice, you'd have helped all those poor souls confined inside this facility, making sure that neither merfolk nor humans suffered the consequences of the greed of some rich people. But you had no choice in this matter. You never had.Â
Pressing the button, you stepped aside so The Fisher could do its wonder. You didn't want to, but you had to. Didn't want to put him through the same torture again at your hands. But Krill had been foolish enough to get captured again, and you were foolish enough to still hold on to the hope that you could make a change in your life if you obeyed. This time, the machine parting the floor stuttered, and although The Fisher descended from the ceiling, it couldn't open.Â
"You are a fool if you think you can capture me with that. Force me to play your little games again, Human!"
Even though you tried to ignore him, it was hard when Krill paced around the opening, taunting you. You had to watch the machines work and fail as the floor was stuck. The Fisher was unable to move as it detected the closed floor, and you wondered how you would proceed if the location became unsuitable to work with.Â
With a loud crash, Krill threw himself against the floor, and you gasped as a wave of cold water splashed over you. As you sputtered, you heard the floor grating, the sound painful to both of you, evident by Krill trying to escape it by dropping below the water. But with the sudden opening appearing, the metal claws of The Fisher snapped forward, scanning and detecting where they had to go.Â
Until you saw it with your own eyes, you could have never believed such a flimsy-looking machine could restrain the apex predator of the sea, effortlessly capturing him by his wrist, neck, and the space between his fin and tail. Sure, he could throw his weight around despite being restricted, but there was little he could do to hurt you unless he broke free. However, no mermaid ever broke free from The Fisher in your years of working here. It was that effective.
You watched as The Fischer pulled Krill out of the water, shiny droplets of wet falling off of him, elevating every muscle, every toned ab on his belly. He was glistening in the unnatural lightening of the laboratory like a precious gem, and your heart clenched with sadness, knowing there was nothing you could do for this beautiful creature. You had to cover your ears as he began shrieking and cursing, most of it in a language that you never bothered to learn as you'd be incapable of ever speaking it. Siren was more of a singing rather than talking in the first place, and though you liked to sing to yourself, you'd never learn it on a level that could match the skill that his language required.
As you watched him, the first thing you noticed was his size. He had grown, although the rough weight and measurements would be taken by the machine holding him in place. The time in the ocean seemed to have done wonders for him. His fins were intact, and the tag on his tail was blinking despite being such an old model. Since then, there must have been at least seven upgrades over the years, and you'd be responsible for changing it eventually.
Once he was dragged onto the research area, he finally seemed to calm down a little, although he glared at you, fury revealing in his eyes. The Fischer restricted his head movement, but his willpower remained. "You are truly the worst," he sneered. "First, you let us go, then you capture us again. What do you think we are? Your little playthings? Is it fun to mangle us? You enjoy this?"
Testing his strength against the shackles, Krill twisted and turned in the hold, but you tried not to give his words too much attention. He was different from how he was years ago, and you had to say goodbye to the semi-good relationship you two had before, the precious image you had held onto of him. Both of you were fighting for survival, as pitiful as it was, and you had a crapload of tests to run before they'd let you get away from him and pity his fate and yourself.Â
With new-found confidence as you watched him rendered immobilized, you returned to the fridge, luckily not encountering any more poor attempts at making life hard for you as you opened the drawers full of tranquilizers. There was yet one to be found that could entirely knock out these creatures, but they had a significant calming effect. Andâas you hopedâpain-relieving. Because there were a lot of things you had to do to him that wouldn't be easy for both of you.Â
Gathering the tranquilizer shots, various test tubes, tools, and your to-do list on a tray, you carried it over to a table closer to him, taking deep breaths to brace yourself. You were tense, your fingers growing numb from anxiety. You had been assigned to the labs for most of the years, rarely encountering a merman again after what you did. And although you trained for this, the thoughts of hurting him were twisting your stomach.Â
"You might think it's fun for us humans, but I wonder what you were thinking coming back here. Maybe you enjoyed the treatment more than you let on, hm?"
Your voice was feeble, even when you tried to act superior. Bantering wouldn't magically develop a relationship between you two, but you couldn't endure the silence when no one spoke. It felt wrongâlike he was going to attack you again any second. You needed to keep yourself anchored to reality, or you might have fainted. After everything you went through, you couldn't remember the confidence you had to allow yourself to do something as drastic as release three orcas from a highly secured facility like this. A shame, really. You deserved confidence as you were one of the best, after all.Â
Even if you couldn't let him know, you still felt anxious about something happening. You returned to the original counters, providing you with everything you needed, put on new gloves after wiping your still-wet face from being splashed with a towel, and proceeded with a mask and apron to achieve even the smallest amount of cleanliness. You'd be unable not to hurt him at the end of this session, but you at least wanted to avoid him dying from sepsis as well as getting his blood all over yourself.Â
"I do not," he snapped, watching as you prepared everything, seemingly having given up fighting the machine but not you. "I came back for Nerrocan."
"HuhâŚ" you mumbled, intrigued by this information. So it was Nerrocan who came back here, not Lyr. Interesting. "Risking it all for your cousin?" you asked, and his eyes narrowed.
"I see you still remember us," he snarled, his lips parting in a cocky grin, but it didn't reach his eyes. Krill looked⌠uncomfortable almost. You couldn't blame him. This all must have been beyond uncomfortable for the merman.Â
"And you, me."
Silence befell you two again as you picked up the tranquilizer, wrapping your hand around the container, surprised when you realized what you were doing. It had been so long that you thought you wouldn't remember your old habits. You used to always warm the drugs so they wouldn't be so bitterly cold when applied on the mermaids.Â
Krill flapped his fin despite being restricted, and you looked up at him, catching a glimpse of worry as he looked at the syringe in your hand. "Ran out of the good stuff, eh? I remember it being purple, not that icky color," he mocked, but he didn't sound as confident anymore as he was before.Â
"Should have come earlier if you wanted that. I heard this one has interesting side-effects when applied."
Rounding the table, you noticed his fin flap again pitifully, almost making you hesitate. He seemed nervous, muscles spasming in the tension of his restrictions. Stepping up to his hips, you felt his eyes follow your every step, almost making you feel reminiscent of the past. You took the integrated step upwards at the side of the research station, effectively standing above him now to see better. Everything was perfectly laid out so that your work could be done effectively. That's how you had to see it, too. This was work, nothing personal.
"You don't have to do this," Krill suddenly said, unusually calm but determined. "You're not a bad person, you saved us before."
This time, you did look directly at him, giving him your full attention for a few seconds of silence. His gaze didn't waver, didn't move away. He meant what he said. At least, that's what you were supposed to believe. Sirens were prone to lying to get what they wanted, and Krill did not want the drug in your hands, warmed up by your palm wrapped around it. But it wouldn't stop you. You gulped, inhaling deeply. It couldn't stop you.
"And now I have to save myself. Please hold still so I don't hurt you."
Diverting your attention back to his hips, you drove your hands along the slick surface of his body, trying to find any space capable of being squeezed. He jerked once when you touched him, trying to get away but ultimately pressing his hips up into your palm. Eventually, you found a soft spot, pinching the skin between your fingers. Krill shuddered, his body twisting, but The Fischer kept it in place. You'd be safe, even if you hated yourself for doing what you had to.Â
The syringe punctured his flesh with only a bit of resistance, and you injected the liquid tranquilizer quickly, stepping away when you were done to watch what would happen. The medication used to be a fickle thing, sometimes agitating, sometimes drugging the mermaids out of their minds. But it usually took a while before it worked. Not this version, though. So many things changed since the last time you worked with the mermaids. But it was cruel all the same.
You listened to Krill groan in pain and relief at the same time. Pressure built, his body twisting and arching, with his spine bending uncomfortably for you as the drug spread throughout him before every muscle seemed to suddenly give out, relaxing him completely and making his body sack in his holds almost lifelessly. Worried, you stepped closer, searching for a pulse. It wasn't for another half a minute before you noticed the even rise and fall of his chest, his gills flaring even though he wasn't using them. The seemingly calm state of the merman made you bolder, although the fear of him faking something never subsided. You walked up to his face, staring into the clouded rubies of his eyes, surprised to find them moving around still, searching for something or someone, despite being slower, less alert than before.Â
"I'm sorry," you whispered, unsure if he could even hear you, but you felt terrible seeing what you did to him. Even if he was a creature that wouldn't hesitate to kill you, he didn't deserve to go through what the facility wanted him to. Reaching up, you brushed the hair out of his face, the strands gently gliding through your fingers without any resistance, almost as if they were a liquid defying all the physics you knew.Â
Even after all this time, you remembered he used to have longer hair. It used to float above the water, coating it in strings of glossy silk. But now he sported a wolf cut that fitted him just as well. Part of his hair had turned white, with only the top remaining in the same black you were used to. You wondered if it was because of the experiments or just a natural change of color over the years when his head suddenly turned, his cheek feeling heavy as he rested it in your palm. Krill seemed as unaware of his actions as he should be after being forced into surrender by the drug, but it seemed to make the forgotten part of him that felt safe with you submerge again, the feeling almost the same as from the past. You quickly caught yourself falling back into thoughts of things long gone and got to work, cutting off both black and white strands with small scissors, hoping it wouldn't suddenly agitate him. But Krill remained unresponsive, and you pushed away your guilt to quickly store your samples.
Focusing your mind on your work, as there was so much to do, and you didn't want him to recover his strength before you had completed most of the preparations you had to make. You measured and cut down his claws, trying your best not to cause any harm to him and quickly storing the talons for further research. The size of his hands was massive, and you marveled at their humanness for a moment, driving your finger gently over the ridges and joints. Unfortunately, as expected, some of his fingertips were broken, smashed by the struggle with the floor grates. You wanted to clean and wrap them securely. But when Krill let out a long sigh, sounding almost pained just by your touching his hands, you immediately stopped, fearing his wrath upon regaining mobility.
You did further measurements on smaller areas like his hands and fins, everything that could be deducted more thoroughly by hand than by machine. Every time you came around to his head, you looked into his eyes, the guilt threatening to wash over you when they locked with yours, steadfast despite him being out of it, so you quickly moved on.Â
While you were at it, you connected his chip to a reader, interested in the data that could be found on it, and removed the jewelry that hung from his body. It would only be a hindrance to your experiments, and perhaps remnants on the metal could determine where the merman was originally from. However, the weight of some of the decorations he had prided himself withâlike his necklace of teethâweighed so much that you needed to drag them over the floor, wondering how this could be efficient for a predator.
"So far, so good," you mumbled as you let the program run its course, wiping off some sweat from your forehead with your sleeve and looking at the situation for a moment. It had been too long, you couldn't really remember the exact procedure to which you should have stuck, but instead of giving your to-do list the attention to find out, your eyes fixated on something elseâscars. Albeit not uncommon, there were a lot more now than you remembered, and you raised a hand to his tail, sliding your fingers over the scarred tissue, putting slight pressure on it.
Krill's body jerked immediately, and you jumped back from him, observing the merman. His head rolled forward in the restraints, tired eyes searching for you but unable to focus.Â
"Not there⌠touch..." His speech was slurred, another effect of the new drug, but you couldn't help but smile faintly at him, seeing how he still resisted.Â
"I need to count them," you explained, hoping it would soothe his mind. If he could understand it. You couldn't be sure it had any effect, but if you were in his position, you would have wanted to be told what was going on, you thought. "It won't hurt, I promise."
Measuring tape in hand, you placed your clipboard with an empty page on top of his body, moving from his fin slowly upwards and jotting down your findings. There were a lot of prominent scars standing out from his body markings, but even more smaller ones barely visible. It felt quite intimate to search his body so thoroughly, but it had to be done. Krill moved pitifully against and into your touch as if unsure where to go and unable to understand what was happening. Even if it made you lose your balance a few times, you let him, feeling bad for all you were doing. It was the slightest bit of freedom you could give him without risking your own head.
By the time you reached his chest, some clarity had returned to his eyes, and he couldn't control the sounds coming from him. You tried not to agitate him with pressure and touch, but you had to do your work. An arrangement of chirps and sighs, some grunts, and nervous jittering rang out, echoing through the rooms. Deep breaths pushed his chest out, and sighs bordering on moans shivered through his whole body. But you were content as long as he didn't throw his weight around and push you off the step and into your medical equipment.Â
"Must you be so thorough," he slurred as you examined his chest, following the curve of his pectoral muscles with your fingers. You looked up at him, his head crooked to the side, still too heavy to hold up on his own despite the metal neck brace, but his eyes were clearer now, following you more intensely.Â
"I have to, I'm sorry. I don't want it to be uncomfortable, but I have to document them."
Writing down your finds on your clipboard, you must have pressed it down a bit too hard on his chest because Krill's head fell back, a long groan escaping him, back arching again. "SorryâŚ" you repeated, the guilt beginning to eat you up, but he only rolled his head in the restraint.Â
"NoâŚ" he muttered. "Not uncomfortable... I feel weird. It's hot. Make it stop."
You were unsure what to do, but there were only a few more scars before you'd have to move on to his arms and, eventually, his backside. You wanted to at least get the chest ones down before you would have to give him another shot of tranquilizer, as Krill was growing more restless every time you touched him. You wished the examination could have stopped there. That you could have released him and put him back into the cold wet, but you needed to finish this. Even when he started gnashing his teeth and twisting in his restraints again.
"What are you doing?!" he suddenly snapped, much more coherent than before, his head jerking forward, ruby-red eyes glowering at you. You tried not to let it get to you, tried to make it quick so he wouldn't have to suffer, but Krill wouldn't let it go.Â
"Stop it!" he demanded as you inspected another small scar around his nipple. It was barely visible against the lighter-toned skin there, but you found it, grazing over the nub a few times while working out the details of the scar you needed. Krill was getting more aggressive with his protests, lashing out at you while many different kinds of sounds escaped him, and it was almost amusing to think that it was because of your touch. You couldn't help spreading your palm over his nipple once, letting the elastic of your gloves weigh down and rub over it, causing every muscle in his body to harden instantly. You shouldn't have abused this situation like this, but seeing him react so sharply, his breath coming out in a drawn-out hiss, was somewhat a relief. Knowing it wasn't all terrible, all cruel and painful. But you caught a grip on yourself quickly, working efficiently until you could finally step away once you had found every last scar on his chest.
"All done," you assured him, unable to keep yourself from grinning a little as he let out a strained but haughty hmpf. He was almost back to his new normal, which made you glad. The drug was awful, but it was good to know he wouldn't be broken down this easily. Your back was turned for only a second when you heard him rattling in his restraints, more clear in his mind again as it seemed. It caused you to want to tease him a little.
"I liked it better when you were quiet, Krill. You didn't react to every one of my touches as if I was trying to seduce you."
"How dare you! I can't believe I am back here with you as if you areâŚ" The word seemed to elude him as he bit his tongue, and you turned to look at his face, so much tension in his expression that you thought he was going to burst. Krill wasn't looking at you for once, focusing on his own body. Walking up to him again, his gaze shifted from straight down back to you, a spark of something you couldn't pinpoint washing over him. Insecurity? Fear? No way.Â
"Don't come closer again!" he hissed, tossing a bit more in his restraints, and you stopped in your tracks, subconsciously listening to him like an idiot. But Krill wasn't being malicious; something was wrong. Even though you two weren't on friendly terms, you could tell something was off. His gills were flared, pupils blown wide open. He looked mostly like the monster you had to believe he was, but there was a sense of panic that an apex predator shouldn't ever display unless something terrible was happening to them. And you couldn't ignore it, or him for that matter.
"Hey!" you called out, hoping your voice could ground him from whatever he was going through. Stepping closer despite his body thrashing wasn't easy. You had to be careful, but you weren't heartless enough to leave him to his own demons after you caused them. The drug could have had hallucinogenics, which would not only have put you in danger but Krill too. You needed him if you ever wanted to regain some recognition or freedom in this place, and he needed you since you were probably the only person in the whole facility who would do anything to make the experiments at least a bit more humane. You couldn't abandon him like this after all he's been through.
Instead of putting yourself at risk of being thrown across the room by Krill accidentally slamming his body into you, you stepped up to his head instead, waiting for the moment that you could grab onto him and hold on with all your strength. You expected a struggle that would leave both of you wounded, but the moment your hands clasped around his face, Krill went rigid, suspiciously still. Another wave of fear overcame you, your instincts telling you this was wrong, but you tried your best to stay strong for both of you. "Shh, shh," you mumbled, calming him, and finally, the strength in his neck gave way, and his head fell back.Â
You two stared at each other for some silent seconds, and you rubbed your thumb over his cheek comfortingly. "It's all your fault," he uttered, exhaustion washing over his expression. You couldn't blame him for feeling this way, and you made sure his hair wouldn't sting his eyes by swiping it out of his face gently, still shushing him like a parent would to their child. He looked like he was in severe pain, as if he felt fear for the first time in his life. You couldn't believe it was true, but you felt heartbroken for him all the same. Even if he was called a monster, even if he was a killer and a creature or an animal. Even if he wasn't like you, he didn't deserve any of this.Â
"Why are you doing this to me again?" he asked, his voice cracking as a wave of sadness washed over his expression. You had never seen a mermaid actively being sad. Angry, panicked, drugged, yes. But sad? You didn't even think that was possible. What could you do to soothe this whale of a man to the point that you weren't suffering the consequences of other people's decisions? Nothing came to mind, and it was awful.
"I haven't done anything yet, just precautions," you assured him. "You're okay, you're safe. I can't change what I have to do, but I promise I'll try to make it as painless as possible. Iâ"
"No," Krill interrupted you. "Not that. Not the experiments. This."Â
You heard the restraints rattle, causing you to look up at his hand, his cut-down, broken claw pointing downward at his body. You halted your comforting, leaving your palms on his cheeks while looking at Krill with a confused look before you stepped away, fully aware that he looked after you, even forcing his head forward again to watch what you were doing as you stepped around him.Â
A loud gasp escaped you as you watched the tip of his cock exit from its slit. The moment your attention was on it, it shot out inch by inch until its massive size stood proudly, pulsing and jerking above his hips, having emerged fully within seconds of horror and amazement. A glistening drop of pre-cum collected at the tip as you stared at the massive erection, the bubble popping and spilling onto his chest as you watched it, unable to look away.
"I tried to forget," Krill lamented from behind you, his body sacking in the machine holding him up before tensing and straining again, a pained groan escaping him while his cock flopping in the air, unbothered by its owner's distress. It only produced more pre-cum and jerked ever so often, the shaft pulsing with need.Â
"I wanted to forget you so badly."
You forced yourself to look away from his cock, and Krill let out a brief trill in response, sounding almost disappointed. But he didn't shy away from your eyes, gazing at you, defeated and a little⌠desperate.Â
"Help. Me," he breathed, and you let out your own shuddering breath at his request. You only ever wanted to tease him. You didn't want to cause any pain or suffering, especially not the sexual kind. It was unheard of that the drug caused the mermaids to act this way. But you were about to learn what caused this.
"Why me?" you whispered, knowing now he could hear you.Â
"Because I remember every touch of you. Every moment we spent together. Every little piece of memory we made in this godsforsaken place, and I need you. I already feel like I'm losing my mind, and I can't take it anymore. At least take responsibility for what you're doing, this is your fault."
"KrillâŚ"
"It's useful for you, isn't it?" he suddenly changed his tune. He looked angry, but the twisted desperation was unconcealable. "My seed. You can have it. Take it all if you must as long as you do something."Â
His words were followed by a groan, sounding in so much pain, and you watched his cock jerk, hips lifting, trying to reach an unavailable source of comfort, a connection to something that wasn't there. "Fuck, I held it back for so long. You and your shitty drugs! I had it under control! I didn't need you at allâdidn't even think of you!"
Another long howl escaped him, head rolling from one side to another. He looked completely out of his mind when his gaze fixed on you again, needy and desperate. You had no way to find out if it was because of the drugs, and that worried you.Â
"I lied," he confessed, his breath leaving him ominously. His admission was completely out of character for a creature like him, which took you aback, but when Krill looked back at you, there was a different kind of determination in his eyes. A savage oneâmad even. You wanted to run away, far, far away from him, but his eyes, full of drugged madness and terrifying adoration, didn't let you act on your whims. As if he hypnotized you.
"I thought about you constantly. You were always on my mind. I thought about coming back so many times, but I couldn't leave the others. But now they don't need me anymore, and I have you back. You're the only one left for me, please. Please help me. Help me, my mate."
His voice was sugary sweet as he pleaded with you, your heart skipping a beat when you watched this destructive, dangerous creature reduced to a begging mess. It wasn't what you wanted for him, and you didn't want the kind of control he was hovering over your head. But you felt the heat spreading throughout your whole body as he called you his.
"We're not mates," you tried to deny it, shaking your head, the implications too severe. "That's the drugs speaking."
"Gods," he groaned loudly, licking his lips as his eyes scanned over your body. "I wish they were."
His hips jerked again, impatient and in desperate need of release. If you were truly mates, that would be bad. It would be an instant invitation to be locked in this facility forever until you passed away. If anyone happened to check on you, seeing the state Krill was in, they'd assume the worst, delighted by these new possibilities. You had to find a solution before that.Â
"Fuck," you muttered, and Krill groaned in agreement. "We're not mates!" you insisted, moving towards his side again. This was absolutely bonkers, but every touch seemed to send him further down the spiralâand so were you, even though you refused to admit it.
"This is strictly professional."
"It's whatever," he rejoiced when he felt your hands back on his chest, a little too happy about this smithereens of body contact for it to be just because of the drugs. "Help me, mate."
"Do me a favor," you asked, rolling your shoulders and readying yourself for what you had to do. You couldn't believe you were going to do it; jerking off a merman was definitely not in your job description. But if it would help with not being confined for all eternity as a pathetic mating buddy, then you had no choice. You just needed the push to actually do it.
"Say 'please'Â again."
Krill's lips parted in a disturbingly wide grin, red rubies sparkling as he looked at you, filled with a sickening hope and adoration that made you shudder.
"Please."

Ranking the voices for how good they are with kids:
- Hero: the perfect amount of fun and responsible. A child can easily trust him as both a playmate and someone who'll keep them safe.
- Hunted: always makes sure a child's needs are being met, including the need for fun and downtime. Very good with practical advice, and will always make sure a child has the proper skills to survive as they grow up. Not as good at giving social advice, but hey, emotional support hare-birb-thing
- Cheated: has a surprising amount of patience for kids. Treats them fairly and never talks down to them, making her a trustworthy adult in the eyes of a child.
- Contrarian: mini-people who are just discovering themselves and often do the opposite of what you say just for the heck of it??? He understands them on a fundamental level and often has a lot of fun just being silly with them. Not as comfortable in a more responsible role, but will try
- Stubborn: aside from overestimating a child's endurance and strengthâ he's pretty good with kids!! Play-wrestles with them and lets them ride on his shoulders while he runs around. Also great at giving pep talks, and will never let a child be put down by bullies in his watch
- Cold: much like Cheated, is surprisingly patient with kids and always talks on the same level as them. Is genuinely invested in what they have to say (kids say and do some of the most interesting things, after all), making kids very at ease around them. Do not trust it to properly take care of a child tho. It can barely take care of themself
- Opportunist: Talks funny and his exaggerated body language is very amusing to children. Makes them feel smart and respected when talking to them, and can even trick them into eating their vegetables. Do not let him stay alone with any child for long tho, he Will try to recruit them to help him with scams
- Smitten: while his mannerisms and general attitude means kids will love staying around him, he cannot be trusted to properly reign in hyperactive children. will encourage any idea they have no matter how stupid it is. needs to be supervised alongside the children
- Broken: similar to Smitten, though with much less energy. Won't stand up to even the most polites of kids, so can easily be walked all over by any 6yo
- Skeptic: Kids areâŚâŚ way too unpredictable for him. Adults are easy enough to read and navigate a conversation with, but how do you even start interacting with kids?!?!? What if he says something wrong and sends them down a path of self-destruction??!? What if they pull off his hat and drool on it??? Better to keep his distance and let people with more affinity to kids do their thingâ
- Paranoid: NOOOOOOOPE. NOT TOUCHING THAT VOLATILE SACK OF HORMONES AND HYPERACTIVITY WITH A SIX-FEET POLEâ

Okay hear me out: to get Homelander really into the Vought Christmas spirit, you teasingly promise that youâll always kiss him under the mistletoe no matter when or where. Of course, youâre picturing around his apartment or perhaps in an empty hallway. But no. Our boy loves a good promise and decides to carry a piece of mistletoe on him at all times, waving it above him whenever he decides he wants a kiss: in the middle of a meeting with the Seven? Sits back in his chair and waves it around like a bell. In the middle of a crowded elevator? Oh yeah, he pulls it out and clears his throat to get your attention and waits for his smooch. Heâs such a dick about but you canât bring yourself to give a fuck and will happily kiss him whenever he wants đ
| 600 | Homelander x gn!Reader | Established Relationship. Fluff. Suggestive themes but nothing happens. Mistletoe kisses.
âHere, really?â You were giddy when you left the penthouse this morning, already high with the feeling of a hundred kisses descended upon your lips. Homelander shook the mistletoe right over the two of you right as you left for work. Knowing you had many more to come left you excited.
Now that youâre standing in the elevator, not so much. You quickly look around to note how many people are looking your way.
âYou promised~â He says in a sing-songy tone, already way too drunk on this power youâve presented on a silver platter. Taught to have zero shame, heâs not-so-patiently waiting for you to do your part.
You lean in for a short and quick peck and like the asshole he is, he asks for more. âOh come on, thatâs not very jolly of you.â You kiss him again, enough to temporarily tame his hunger for you and he relents with a pleased hum.
This whole setup puts Homelander in a great mood. A rare occurrence for the Vought tower employees. Thereâs a pep in his step with you on his arm, heâs whistling and boisterously exclaiming âMerry Christmasâ to any passerby. Of course, itâs less about spreading the Christmas cheer and a whole lot more about bragging.
But after the kind of Christmases heâs had, both corporate-washed and soulless, you canât fault him for it. So you let him have it. However annoying he manages to be.Â
In the middle of a meeting with the Seven, he whistles you over with a significant little shake to the wrapped bundle. Although itâs pretty embarrassing to kiss the head of the table while other people are talking he doesnât relent and you still smooch his kiss-red lips for over a hundredth time today.Â
Youâd think youâd get annoyed by the shit-eating grin he throws you each time with a side of suggestive eyebrows yet you love him too much to care about how obnoxious the two of you are being. Itâs starting to take the PDA levels to ones youâve never seen from him before.
Nowhere is safe. Homelander doesnât shy away from sneaking into a meeting youâre presenting in. Disrupting your speech and leaving you flustered and distracted for the rest of the hour. He kisses you in the halfway, by the printer, in the break room and by the coffee machine.
With the lead up to Christmas youâre really gonna need to invest in some heavy supply of chapstick.
When you finally find some peace and quiet in your office, you still smile when you see the door opening. Although the public kisses are fun, you much rather prefer indulging in private where nobody is there to watch the two of you get utterly lost in each other.
âStill havenât had enough?â You crack a smile and lean back in your office chair.
âOf you? Nah, never.â Homelander walks toward you, you see the little bunch of mistletoe that at this point has really been through it. You start to get up at the sight of it but instead he wiggles his gloved finger in front of you.
You watch as he places the mistletoe right above his belt and you burst out laughing. âLeave it to you to make a cute Christmas tradition perverse.â
âHey, it was your idea. Iâm just playing by your rules. Kiss under the mistletoe, remember?â
âYeah, I remember.â
And well, who are you to take this newfound joy of Christmas away from him.
#I know you didn't ask for a 'fic' and neither have i really added much that you haven't already deliciously outlined in your ask#but it was fun to write something simple and sweet!#and you're right#i love the idea of him being super annoying about this#any chance he can appear like he's got it all he's gonna do it#homelander x gn!reader#homelander x reader#homelander x you#homelander#my writing#asks!#fic request#homelander fluff

*ME BUSTING THROUGH THE WALLS LIKE THE GODDAMN KOOLAID MAN*-
HAVE YOU READ CITYZENS?
It has Pep! Its set in season one/two but it has a Pep who is very worried about how Jamie came back from Richmond but also worried about how there seems to be something in the water at city that makes jamie act not so great somedays.
It also has cats! It has a variety of loosely inspired by the real City team but not really characters! And Jamie having strong feelings as he tries to figure out what the fuck is up with him and coaches that he always seems to end up on the wrong foot! And lots of hugging! And itâs doing something very interesting with a hard of hearing Jamie and a little mystery into what exactly happened when he got that concussion when he was younger and whatever happened after his mum died.
Thereâs also a giant blond man named Halvar who loves cats. Iâm a little obsessed with him ngl
Okay but can you imagine the events of Ted Lasso from Pepâs perspective??? I kinda want to see a fox about that. Like he probably sent Jamie off to Richmond with the idea that would get a lot of playing time and spend time with his idol ( you canât tell me that everybody at Man City didnât know about his hero worship for Roy). He was probably also keeping an eye on Jamie and how things were going and imagine his surprise to find out that Jamie and Roy had struck up some sort of arch nemesis rivalry shit. Imagine his reluctant pride at seeing how well Jamie was adjusting to playing in a different position. Imagine his concern and confusion when Jamie gets benched after Roy came after him. Imagine his growing concern when he prompts Jamie on why Richmond sent him back and all Jamie can do is say âI donât knowâ in a hollow voice. Imagine him trying desperately to figure out how someone with so much passion and self confidence came back a shell of himself and grew more and more distant everyday. Imagine his shock, worry, and disappointment when he finds out Jamie is leaving to a reality tv show after spiraling for months. Imagine his tentative delight at seeing Jamie work his way back into football, this time with more genuine pleasure and passion for the sport. Imagine him silently cheering Jamie on as Richmond gets promoted. Imagine his dismay at seeing Jamieâs role at Richmond get smaller and smaller once Zava joins. Imagine his anger on Jamieâs behalf when Zava steals his goal and nobody does anything about it. Imagine his pride at watching Jamie take what he learned at Man City to help Richmond. Imagine him wanting his team to win against Richmond, but also not being able to stop himself from worrying when Jamie gets injured. Imagine his shock when Jamie gets back up and scores. IMAGINE IT.
#full disclosure this pep originated before we got OG pep on the show#and Jamie has a lot of mixed feelings about the Richmond team at this point in his life so some of his pov is not nice about them#but itâs written so lovely and I am actively invested in his hearing aids plotline and like#he has cats! HE HAS CATS!#jamie tartt#ted lasso#fic rec

Not spoilers for a potential part two of this, but I'm just saying~~~
Imagine being an unsuspecting Tanjiro going after Giyuu to convince him that's he's worthy of being a Hashira, help out with the training, et cetera only to arrive at the Water Estate and see Giyuu sitting outside by the fence with the most kicked puppy expression and a small red bump on his head.
"...Tomioka-san, why are you out here?"
"(y/n) whacked me with her frying pan and told me not to come back in until I apologized for apparently acting like a jerk at the meeting...I don't get what I did wrong."
Then Tanjiro being Tanjiro gives Giyuu the canon pep talk and when Giyuu confidently walks back into his house to see you and your son, you reluctantly (lies, you could never reject him, not when he looked that cute and hopeful) accept his apology and he happily takes his kid to coo and blow raspberries at, much to a delighted Tanjiro's wonder at seeing his idol be so open.
"By the way, Yuu-kun, do you know who sat on my flowers? I've been trying to grow them by the fence and when I went to go check on them they were absolutely flattened," you remarked crossly, stirring the contents of the pot waaay too aggressively, proceeding to bang down a pan before noticing a certain mess and gasping.
"When I find out who they are - ooh, no, nope, don't drool on daddy, baby." The Water Pillar had never been so happy about liquid...even if it was the saliva dribbling from his son's mouth (hey, it saved him from having to come up with something to his empty threat).
Giyuu pretended to be just as invested in attending to your giggling child and Tanjiro wisely decided not to say anything.

Loverâs Quarrel
Lee Russell x Reader
Summary: Reader is the third Vice Principal of North Jackson High. She often finds herself fighting with Lee Russell. Tension builds until it finally breaks.
CW: cussing because duh itâs Lee Russell, p in v, creampie, biting(?), Lee being a panty thief,
~~~
You sat alongside your two coworkers watching some of the kids practice for the pep rally. Neal Gamby and Lee Russell, your fellow Vice Principals. Only a few weeks back they had dragged you along for some harebrained scheme to get the new Principal, Dr. Belinda Brown, fired. Breaking into her home, resulting in Russell loosing it and burning her entire house down. You were in the thick of it with them now, no turning back.
Gamby and Lee argued back and forth about what the next plan was to ensure Belinda Brown was no more. You were halfway zoned out not much caring for their petty bickering.
âI canât help both of you pussed out on me and ran,â Lee scoffed at Gamby. âYou canât be serious right now, what did you want us to go up in flames with the house?â Gamby rolled his eyes.
âThatâs not what Iâm talking about,â Lee began talking through his teeth, âIâm talking about how we were gonna highjack her car too, Gamby! Couldâve burnt that shit down right in the school parking lot!â
âI think burning her new house down was far enough, Lee,â you finally chimed in.
âYeah, dumbass. Donât you think we wouldâve been caught then?!â Gamby leaned in.
âShe has kids, Lee. Weâve already made them homeless,â you sat up straight rolling your shoulders.
âYou two are no fun!â Lee rolled his eyes, âToo invested in her personal life and shit. I donât give a fuck about her! Neither should you, little miss sensitive.â
âThatâs rich coming from someone with a detailed binder on every single faculty member in this building,â you stood up.
âYeah!â Gamby pointed a finger in his face, âYouâre the one whoâs invested!â
âShut the fuck up, Gamby,â Lee scrunched his face up at him. Leeâs eyes followed you as you walked down the bleachers.
âWhere the fuck are you goinâ, prissy pants?â Lee stood up behind you.
âAnywhere where I donât have to hear your dumbass complain,â you turned around and threw your arms up.
âYou always are the first one to back out on anything! Canât even commit to a conversation with us,â Lee crossed his arms.
âOoo a lovers quarrel,â Gamby teased.
âShut Up, Gamby!â You both spoke together.
Lee began walking down the bleachers towards you. This just pissed you off worse.
It had almost always been like this with you and Lee. Small bickerings that were normally wrapped up with some flirting. All your coworkers constantly teased you both about fighting like an old married couple. Lee was different when you were alone. Staying late to help you with some paperwork that you couldâve done yourself, deeply complimenting you, always making an excuse to invite you into his office or himself into yours, lingering touches between you. Things had changed since Dr. Brown joined the faculty. Lee was sassier than ever. No longer willing to be any form of helpful, just hanging around throwing off-hand insults towards anyone and everyone. It had been growing old. You were sick of constant negativity pouring from him.
You headed down the stairs of the bleachers walking as fast as you could away from him.
âWhatâs the matter with you?â Lee rushed behind you, his hard steps echoing on the metal stairs. You ignored him, continuing forward. âI thought this was like our thing! Just some back and forth, whatâs the big deal?â Lee scoffed.
âIâm not in the mood for this today, Lee,â you rolled your eyes refusing to look back at him. He was hot on your heals.
âWhat are you on your period or something?â Lee joked.
That was it. That sent you over the edge.
"Oh, sweet God, Lee! You're being a fucking asshole!" You stormed off into the nearby woods. The area in which old school supplies got dumped, also where Lee often took his smoke break.
"Me the asshole? You're the one actin' like a royal bitch right now!" Lee followed closely behind you.
That struck a nerve.
"What the fuck did you just say?"
Lee stood before you, hands on his hips, mouth hanging awkwardly open and eyes wide. He stammered slightly shaking his head.
"Nothing," he threw his hands up doing a circle step.
"No- Go ahead, Russell. Since you want to be so brave, tell me what you said!"
"You're the one that called me an asshole," he mumbled.
"Because you are an asshole! That's all you've ever been and all you'll ever be! A self obsessed, egotistical asshole!" You grunted as you spun around, leaning your arm against a tree.
"Oh, now look whose name callin'!" Lee stomped.
"You act all sweet and friendly to the staff, then do everything in your power to stab them in the back. Laughing and jokin' at the lunch table, pretending to be one of them. Well you aren't! You're a fucking psychopath who loves to pull everyone down with him! You're a sicko with a power trip, Russell!"
Lee scoffed at you, crossing his arms and rolling his eyes.
"FUCK YOU, LEE RUSSELL!" You got into his face pointing at him.
Lee cocked his head to the side. His hands found both sides of your face, crashing his lips into yours. You were stunned and extremely aroused. You sunk into the kiss full force, your body melting into Lee's grasp.
"You've got a dirty mouth on you, Ms. L/N," Lee flashed a toothy grin at you.
"You have no idea," you chuckled to yourself.
"Fuck, me. I like the sound of that," he pressed his lips back into yours, backing you into the tree you had leaned on prior. You exchanged spit as your tongues tussled, sloppy kissing being shared. Lee's lips found their way to your neck, biting and sucking at it. "Don't be fucking greedy," you breathed out.
"I'll do whatever I want," he kissed your skin, biting down a little harder than before. A small moan escaped you feeling his teeth dance along your skin. You wanted him badly.
Lee pulled you away from the tree, escorting you over to the mattress on the ground. A little gross, but you could not care right now. "Let's hurry things along a little, I've got an evaluation in an hour," Lee helped you onto the mattress, crawling on top of you. A prominent tent pitched in his tight khakis. "You really know how to make a girl feel special, dontcha Russell?"
"Oh, shut up," Lee kissed your lips. He ran a hand down your body, sliding under your skirt, finding your clothed core. His fingers began making circles against your sensitive nub. Your hips jolted forward at the sudden friction. Your eyes shot up to him. "Did you think I was gonna be the only one getting off here?" Lee looked at you with a cocky grin. You ran both hands up his body, tugging him down by his tie.
"Fuck me, Lee," you fluttered your eyes at him.
"Don't have to ask me twice, sweetheart," Lee began pulling himself from his pants. You shimmied your panties down your legs, cool air hit your soaking core. Lee's eyes stared up your skirt, mouth hanging open admiring your sex. Your eyes finally caught his fully erect cock, his hand grasped around it stroking himself. Your face flushed. Lee got in position, lining himself up with your opening. He eased himself in, the tip stretching you first. Leeâs eyes stared down at yours, lust written all over his face.
He continued easing his way inside you, giving you time to adjust to him. He found himself fully inside you, both of you breathing loud and heavy. He stayed for a moment not ready to begin moving. He gently pulled himself back before aggressively thrusting back into you. A moan fell from you.
"Ah, fuck. Has a pussy this good seriously being hidin' from me this whole time?" Lee threw his head back as he continued thrusting into you. His cocked stretched you just right.
"Should've bent you over my desk by now. Fucked you in the teacher's lounge. Hell, I'll fuck you on my future Principal's desk," Lee grinned ear to ear.
"You mean my future desk," you scowled at him.
"Whatever gets you to let me keep fucking you," Lee leaned his head against you. He squinted his eyes savoring the feeling of you around him. He had not been fucked in a longtime, let alone by someone as good as you.
Lee's hips rocked into you consistently quick, your head rested back on the mattress. He felt extremely good inside you, even if that mouth of his was not doing him any favors. He leaned down placing a wet kiss on your lips, his hand creeping down your body and finding your sensitivity again. His name was a soft moan on your lips. You felt your orgasm inching through your body his fingers working absolute magic on you. You were breathless.
âI wanna cum in you, okay?â Lee whispered in your ear. You nodded aggressively. You knew you would unwind any minute now. Leeâs hips grew sloppy and unrhythmic as he began chasing his high. Praises flowed from him as he threw his head back, his fingers finally sending you over the edge. Your walls fluttered around him, a loud moan escaping you. Leeâs body fell flush with yours, his hips snapping into you. âFuck, Y/N, you have the perfect pussy,â he moaned in your ear. Ropes of him shot inside you, his hips sputtering trying to get as deep inside you as possible. His lips pressed into yours hard. One of his hands cupped your cheek, Lee admired you, being tender with you for only a moment.
âGoddamn, Y/N! That wasâ Fuck, great,â Lee chuckled awkwardly trying to catch his breath. You ran your hand through Leeâs hair, his eyes softening for a moment. Lee pulled out of you hesitantly. Deep down he wished you could stay like this forever. He would never admit it publicly, but he really liked you. You both sighed. He rolled over to be on the mattress beside you.
You sat up, searching for your panties that had been discarded earlier. âWhereâd my underwear go?â
Lee laughed. He patted his chest, âDonât you worry about those, Iâm sure you have plenty more at home.â Your whole body flushed with heat when you realized what he was saying.
âYouâre seriously going to make me walk around the rest of the day with no underwear?â You half smiled at him.
âGoddamn right I am. Make sure every time you sit down you remember what happened out here,â Lee laughed, standing up and reaching his hand out to you. You took it, he pulled you to your feet. Your chest was flush against his, you looked up at him. You pressed a kiss to his lips quickly. You saw a slight pink hue rise on his cheeks. Leeâs hands were on your hips, heavy brown eyes staring into yours. A faint smile painted his face.
The bell rang in the distance.
Leeâs eyes shot up to the school behind you. âUhâ Guess we outta get back to work,â he placed a tiny peck on your cheek. You smiled as he walked ahead of you, one of his hands reaching behind him for yours. You intertwined fingers with him, getting a satisfied look over his shoulder. He led you out of the trees, the field that was previously full of loud cheering students was now empty. No one was outside. At least, thatâs what you thought. Lee spun around, planting another kiss on your lips. A goofy grin painting his face.
âRUSSELL!â
You both jumped slightly hearing Neal Gambyâs voice echoing through the air.
âJesus Christ,â Lee sighed as he turned around to face him.
âWhat the fuck were you guys doing out there? You know we have to monitor the halls during class changes! Plus you guys forced me to have âsmall talkâ with Bitch Brown!â Gamby folded his arms over his chest.
âNo need to get your nutsack twisted, Gamby. We just needed to plan out our next attack,â Lee flicked him in the shoulder walking past him to the school.
âIâm supposed to be involved in all conversations about this!â Gamby protested.
You laughed and rolled your eyes, following closely behind Lee. Turning to make a face at Gamby as you headed inside.
âYou guys suck,â Gamby mumbled as he hustled to catch up with you.
You and Lee walked side by side inside the building, occasionally bumping into each other. Exchanging small smiles back and forth. Continuously grazing hands, longing to interlock fingers again.
Save that for another time.
A Lifetime Full of Firsts
based loosely on two asks from anons... stages of falling in love and being domestic and shit.
WC: ~4.8k
In every relationship, there are numerous firsts. Some firsts, you expect: the first date, the first kiss, the first time you say I love you, the first time you have sex- and those are always memorable. And then are the unexpected firsts- and those are almost more memorable than the expected.Â
The first unexpected first was one that you never saw coming to become a monumental moment in your relationship with Melissa Schemmenti. All that had happened was you got a new job as a second grade teacher at Abbott Elementary. You walked into the staff lounge to simply put your lunch away when you saw her for the first time. Your eyes were immediately drawn to the fiery red hair that cascaded down here shoulders in gentle waves.Â
âWhy you starinâ?â Her voice came out deep. âDo I got somethinâ in my teeth?â
âN-no,â you stammered out. âSorry. I uh, just really like your hair.â
âThanks,â she practically blew you off. âNow who the hell are you?â
âIâm Y/N,â you answered softly. âIâm the new second grade teacher they hired.â
âShit, I gotta work with you all year?â she groaned. She almost immediately took a disinterest in you. She didnât like the vibe she got- a pep in your step, voice soft and demure. She suspected that you would be out of here before the kids even came in for their own first day of school, and if you werenât out by then, the kids would eat you alive and you would be gone by the second week.Â
âIâm sorry?â you squeaked out.
âMelissa Schemmenti,â the redheaded woman told you. âOne of the other second grade teachers.â
âOh,â your mouth formed into a bit of a frown. You headed over for the refrigerator and put your lunch in there. âWell, I hope you have a nice day.â And you head out.
That was your first conversation with Melissa Schemmenti, and it wasnât a great one. It wouldnât matter though. Life had a funny way of playing out.
During development week, you paid close attention. This school was no joke- you knew that. Growing up in the area, you knew the kids were tough. You knew that this school in particular had a decent amount of turnover every year. But you were determined to stay- make the difference for even just one student like your own second grade teacher had made for you. Janine Teagues, the other second grade teacher in your triad, was just as invested in the seminars as you were despite the fact that this was her third year at Abbott. Melissa, on the other hand, couldnât care less. She made it very clear she couldnât care less- busying herself in any other way possible.
Development week was over before you knew it, the weekend flew by, and the kids were beginning to file in. You glanced nervously at Janine, who just gave you an encouraging smile. Then you turned to look at Melissa, whose eyes immediately fell from your own. Was she watching you? You went to say something, but now the kids were actually coming to meet their new teachers, and you werenât able to say anything more. Instead, you gave her a tight lipped smile.Â
You survived the first week. And then you survived the second. Soon enough, October came, and you were still at Abbott.Â
Melissa was clearly intrigued by you and your work ethic. Any other teachers who had tried to keep up with her Janine failed epically and been gone in the first few days. But you? You exceeded every expectation with such grace.Â
Until you had to ask for her help. It really wasnât even that big of a deal- the teacher who had the book your manual was referencing before you misplaced it. So, you found yourself hyping yourself up to go to her classroom and ask for help finding it. Finally, you mustered up the courage and were finding yourself knocking on her door.Â
âNewbie?â she asked. You still hadnât quite earned the right to be called by your name by the redhead yet.
âHey,â you sighed out softly. âListen, I really hate to bother you, but Janine isnât here, and I need this book for a few days from now. Iâd rather not be running around like a chicken without her head on Wednesday.
âWhat do you want?â
âThe teacher that was here before me lost the book the textbook is referencing. Do you know where I could find it?â
âWhen do you need it?â
âThursday,â you mumbled softly.
âNewbie, itâs Monday.â
âYeah?â you cocked your head to the side just slightly. âI hate running around the day before though and feeling unprepared.â
The redhead maneuvered her way over to her desk before rifling through a few things. She produced the book you needed. âHere, just borrow mine. The last teacher in your room set hers on fire when she quit.â
âWhat?â you raised a brow as you took the offered book.
Melissa just smirked. âShe was batshit crazy. Promise you wonât light my book on fire, newbie.â
âPromise,â you chuckled. âIâll have it back to you on Thursday afternoon.â You raised the book in the air. âThank you.â You turn to head out of her room and back to your own classroom.
âHey,â her voice stopped you in your tracks. You turned to face her again, and this time she wasnât wearing the usual smirk. She actually had an earnest smile on her face- like one she has when sheâs chatting with her friends in the staff room. âYouâre doinâ alright, Y/N.â
âThanks,â you smiled back at her.Â
As you left, you felt your cheeks burning just slightly, and you couldnât wipe that dumb grin off your face. You didnât know why she had you feeling so giddy- maybe it was because she actually called you by your real name for the first time, or maybe it was because her smile was one that could light up even the darkest of cities.
That was the first time you ever asked her for help, the first time she ever addressed you by name, the first time you fell in love with that smile of hers.
It took a few more weeks before she finally came into your classroom to ask for your help for the first time. It was silly really- all she needed you to do is stand in between both rooms to keep an eye on her class while she goes to the bathroom. But still, you were surprised she didnât just ask Janine instead.
The first time you sat with her at lunch, it was not your day. You were running late, forgot your lunch on the counter in your apartment, spilled your coffee all down your front, and then you still didnât have time to make a pitstop at Wawa to get a new coffee or lunch. So when you came dragging into the staff lounge with a whopping five dollars in your hand, a gigantic brown stain on your yellow shirt, and a frown, Melissa raised a brow.
âNot your day, Y/N?â your colleague asked.
You just let out a heavy sigh as you inserted a dollar into one of the machines. You picked what your vending machine lunch would be for the day before turning back around and going to head for the door. Once again, Melissaâs voice stopped you in your tracks.
âY/N,â the redhead called again. You turned to face her, clearly unhappy and not in the mood. âIs that your lunch today?â
You just nodded.Â
âCome sit,â Melissa waved you over to hers and Barbaraâs table.
âI uh, wouldnât want to impo-â
âCome sit,â the hardheaded woman told you again as she kicked out the chair next to her before standing up. She headed over for the cabinets and pulled out a paper plate. With a sigh, you took the seat next to her. Before you knew what was happening, your coworker was spooning out some of the pasta that she packed for herself onto the plate and was handing it to you.Â
âMelissa, what are you doing?â you asked her incredulously, eyes nearly bulging out of your head.
âI already ate like half of it, and thereâs still more that I wonât finish, so eat it,â she told you sternly. When her friends all raised their brows too, Melissa shrugged. âI ainât going to cover her class if she passes out because all she had to eat today was a bag of Doritos.â
âMelissa, I couldnât-â
âIf you donât eat it, itâs going in the trash,â she rolled her eyes. âSo just take it, and enjoy it.â Then she made her way over to the coffee machine and was brewing a new pot. You took a glance in her mug, and it was entirely full aside from the few sips you had watched her take while she was standing next to you. A few minutes later, there was a steaming hot mug of coffee placed in front of you. Then, and only then, did the redhead sit down. When she noticed that you still hadnât taken a bite of her food, she practically shoved the fork into your hand.
After the first bite, you groaned. This was the best pasta you had ever tasted. Melissa just gave you a smile as she reached over and stole the chips you bought. She opened them, popped one into her mouth, and then pushed the bag back in your direction.
âThank you,â you had blushed through a mouthful.
Since that day, Melissa always made sure that you ate, and she was the first to offer up some of her lunch if you forgot yours that day.
The first time you realized you had feelings for her, you absolutely freaked out. You werenât supposed to like her- your coworker. And yet there you were- falling for Melissa Schemmenti. You had no idea that she was falling just as hard.
The first time she kissed you, she had pretty much ambushed you- after a relatively hard day with the kids, on top of watching the idiot fifth grade teacher flirt with you mercilessly. You were just sitting at your desk trying to grade your second gradersâ spelling tests when you heard her enter your room with the slamming of the door.
âMelissa?â you asked, clearly shocked that she was coming in here, and pissed. âWhat- whatâs wrong?â
She didnât answer, instead crossing the room on straight legs and kissing you rather aggressively. You were so shocked in the moment that you didnât kiss her back. As she pulled away though, you only pulled her back in for another. You tugged her into your lap as her arms wrapped around your neck. Eventually, air became a necessity, and she pulled away.
âIâm so fuckinâ sick of watching Matthews flirt with you,â she stated as her green eyes turned dark.
âMatthews is an idiot,â you rolled your eyes. âDoesnât ever pick up on the fact that they only person I ever flirt back with is you.â
âDinner at my house tonight,â she told you lowly. She wiped off the excess lipgloss from your face before fixing her own. With a toss of her hair, she stood from your lap and made her way out of your room. You couldnât help but watch the way her hips swayed.
The first time you said I love you, it wasnât the way you thought that you wouldâve told her. Honestly, the first time you said those three special words, you werenât aware that you had said them. Or remembered.Â
You were absolutely hammered during one of the happy hours after school. You donât even really remember how you ended up getting as drunk as you did- you never got that bad. But with Melissa and Mr. Johnson practically feeding you shots after a particularly hard day with your students, you were on the verge of blacking out. So, as a dutiful girlfriend, Melissa took you out of the dive bar before you could make an even bigger fool out of yourself than you already had.
âYouâre so pretty,â you had murmured the whole way home, a hand never far from her body. It wasnât in any sexual way, you just liked being close to her.
She chuckled, that easy laugh that you knew meant she wasnât uncomfortable with your actions. âThanks, hun.â
Once she pulled up to your apartment complex, she ushered you inside. You had expected her to leave you, even in your drunk state. But instead, she simply guided you to the couch, wrapped you up in a blanket, and went on her way to your kitchen. Before you knew it, you were eating one of your favorite dishes of hers while she lounged next to you.
âYouâre the best,â you smiled at her drunkenly.
She pat your leg with a soft smile on her face. âDonât I know it? Now, why donât we get you up to bed so you can sleep this off, and hopefully donât wake up hungover tomorrow for work?â
âAre you trying to seduce me?â you slurred out.
Green eyes were rolled as she hoisted you into her arms. She carried you up to your room, got you changed, and pulled the blankets over you. She kissed your forehead before going to leave.
âStay?â you had asked meekly.
You heard her sigh, but your eyes were closed. âGive me a few minutes.â
On the verge of sleep, you felt the bed dip under you and warm, strong arms wrap around you. In an instant, you turned in her arms and tucked your chin into her body.
âI love you,â you whispered before giving into drunken exhaustion.
Melissa stiffened just slightly beneath you, but then with a sigh of relief, she reciprocated that emotion, a kiss being pressed to your temple. She held you like that through the rest of the night.
The first time you said âI love youâ and were coherent for it, it wasnât a grand gesture at all. The two of you were sitting outside of her townhouse after a nice meal when you knew you couldnât hold it in any longer. So, you grabbed her hand with a smile and breathed out those three special words.
âI love you,â you told her with the softest of smiles, the softest of eyes. Then you take a deep sigh of relief. âOh God. There, I said it first. Now it wonât be awkward, because I know weâve both been dancing around it for a while now.â
Your girlfriend responded with a full-out belly laugh, and it shook you. It startled you. Was it too early to say those words?
âWhat?â
She just continued to laugh. âHun, you said it first a while ago.â
âI what?â you gasped.
âDo you remember the last happy hour we went to?â she asked you with a smirk.
You grumbled. She loved to hold that day over your head. âBarely.â
âAfter I got you to bed, before you fell asleep, you told me. Youâve also been mumbling it in your sleep. So, I know you love me. Iâve just been waiting for you to tell me coherently,â your girlfriend laughed. Then she sobered slightly to look at you with eyes she only had reserved for you. âI love you too, mi amore.â
That night also led to the first time⌠that first time. And it was everything you had dreamed of and more. Melissa Schemmenti was a body worth worshipping.Â
The first time you spoke of what your future might look like together was rocky- but it was nothing if not informative. She expressed that she wouldnât be opposed to the idea of marriage, but kids were something that she was wary of. You expressed that you could see yourself marrying her if it all fell into place, and kids were a dream of yours. If they came along they came along. Melissa reminded you that the two of you wouldnât just be able to create a life the way any straight couple would be able to; forcing you to blush furiously. Of course though, she said that if the timing was right and everything fell into place, it wasnât off the table.
The first time you had tried to propose to Melissa Schemmenti was one that youâll never, ever forget. Everything seemed like it was going perfectly- the kids were extremely well-behaved that day for both of you (something that quite literally never happens), the drive home and making dinner was pleasant, and dessert was almost ready. You thumbed the ring in your pocket, just about ready to drop down to one knee and ask her to marry you. But of course, the most important aspect of your day was ruined when you dropped the ring as you went to pull it out of your pocket. You thanked your lucky stars that you were able to locate it and recover from your fumble before she was aware that anything was happening behind her back. But now that you were in such a panic, you couldnât ask her. So, you enjoyed dessert with the ring carefully placed in your pocket. And it was wonderful.
You figured you had recovered enough from your first fumble to be able to ask her as you were getting ready for bed that night. So, while she was in the bathroom taking off her makeup, you carefully pulled the ring from your pocket again and laid it on her pillow. That was almost a surefire way for her to see it.
You were wrong of course. While she usually rolled into bed, this particular time she decided to flop down and sent the ring flying behind the headboard. It landed with a particularly loud thud- one that made her furrow her brows.
Thinking quickly, you took off one of your own rings and stuffed it under your pillow.Â
âOh, dammit,â you groaned, ever the actress. âI knew I forgot to put that ring back on.â
âSorry, hun.â Melissa looked regretful. âLet me grab it for you.â She goes to roll out of bed and move the frame away from the wall to retrieve your ring.
You were too slow to stop her, frozen in your tracks. She found the engagement ring that was meant to be hers and stood straight up with it, eyes wide and jaw just slightly agape.
âY/N,â your girlfriend said lowly. âWhat is this?â
âA ring?â you desperately were trying to figure out how to get out of this predicament.Â
âNo shit,â she was quick to retort. âWhoâs is it?â
âMine,â you say quietly.
âAre you secretly married or something?â Green eyes turn somewhat dark.
âNo!â you were quick to reply. Well, you had to come clean now. âMel, itâs mine⌠for you. I was going to ask you tonight, but both times I went to, I fumbled.â
Your girlfriendâs eyes grew wide. âWhat do you mean?â
You explained the earlier events to her with a sigh. âNow, can I please have the ring back so I can at least go to bed with some of my dignity tonight?â
Melissa handed you the ring with an expectant look. But instead of dropping down to one knee like she thought you would, you instead just put the ring back safely in its box.
âWhat are you doing?â she asked you. âArenât you going to propose?â
âWell, I canât now,â you replied. âIt has to be perfect, and that proposal would not be.â You slide back into bed and open your arms for her to fall into. She does with a frown on her face.
âDamn,â she huffed. âI couldâve been engaged tonight.â
âWell,â you chuckled as you pressed a kiss to her head. âYou will be soon enough- when the time is right.â
âItâs a beautiful ring,â she complimented softly as she held up her left hand. âDamn! Now I wish I wouldâve just put it on!â
The next morning, Barbara came flying into the staffroom to look at Melissaâs hand- she knew of your plan to ask her work wife to marry you. She all but grabbed her best friendâs hand, and the smile that she wore immediately melted away into a frown.
âWhereâs the-â
âIt didnât go as planned,â you sighed softly from next to your still-girlfriend.
âWhat does that mean?â Barbara gasped. âMelissa Ann, did you refuse her proposal?â
âWhat?â
âDid you refuse her proposal?â
âShe didnât,â you chuckled nervously. âI flubbed it.â
âH-how on Earth would you have flubbed it?â Barbara asked you.Â
You turned sheepish. âI dropped the ring twice⌠and then she found it.â
âI tried to get her to propose,â Melissa huffed. âShe wouldnât.â
âAnd why would that be?â
âBecause it has to be perfect,â you sighed as you kissed her hand. âYou deserve perfect.â
âWhat I deserve is for that ring to be on my finger,â your girlfriend still huffed.
She got it eventually. The third time that you tried to propose was perfect, and the rock sat on her finger beautifully. The first time the Abbott crew saw it, they nearly swooned. Barbara nudged her best friend lightly.
âWas it worth the wait?â the kindergarten teacher asked teasingly.
âYeah,â Melissa whispered as she held her hand out to admire the new ring. âIâd say so.â
The first time that you decided to sit down to wedding plan did not go to plan. It was disagreement after disagreement. And of course, that led to you sleeping on the couch after you said something not particularly called for. But after that, wedding planning was civil and respectful, and the âAbbott event of the centuryâ, as Janine was putting it, was nearly set.
The first time you saw Melissa in her wedding dress was probably the most untraditional way to see her in it. But then again, most of the things about your relationship were untraditional.
You had come home after your own fitting, and there she was- standing on the coffee table as her mother was attempting to do alterations her own dress. Barbara Howard, obviously assuming her duty as maid of honor, was holding pins for Mrs. Schemmenti. In an instant though, she was shooing you back out the door.
âY/N,â Barbara scolded you. âWhat the hell are you doing here?â
You chuckled. âBarb, this is my house too, you know.â
âWell, yes, but I thought you knew she would be doing alterations to the dress!â
âI didnât think she would be standing on our living room coffee table!â you argued. âI thought she would be doing it in the basement or our bedroom, so I was just going to avoid those areas!â
The kindergarten teacher huffed. âWell, please tell me you didnât see her in it.â
You avert your eyes- you had seen her in it. And she looked stunning.
âYou two are the worst, you know that?â Barb rolled her eyes.
You smiled though. âYeah, we are. But at least we can be terrible together.â
The first time you said your vows out loud was to your future wife, on your wedding day. By some grace of God, you had managed to keep them under wraps, and she had managed to keep hers a secret from you too.
So, there the two of you stood, holding hands up at the altar and looking into each otherâs eyes as you made lifelong promises to each other.Â
Melissaâs vows were short and sweet like she was (despite the fact that she always appears to be an average height⌠heels be damned). She glossed over the fact that she never in a million years wouldâve expected to be standing here today before promising you that she would always be there to make lasagna for your birthday, that sheâd never love Jalen Hurts more than you, and that sheâd do whatever it takes to keep you happy⌠even if that meant having to be the one to change the lightbulbs in the house because you were afraid of getting burnt. Her vows to you made you laugh, they made you cry, they made you fall even further in love with her than you already were.
And then it was your turn to speak your vows- ones that you had only practiced in your head because you knew she was always looming around the corner trying to hear you.
âSo,â you chuckled softly as you turned to the audience. âAs Melissa stated, it was not love at first sight. Not even love at second glance- at least on her part. But⌠weâve made our way here.âÂ
Your friends and family had laughed at your light joke, and then you turned back to Melissa. âIt may not have been love at first sight, but weâve had a lot of other firsts happen in life⌠Oneâs that we may not have ever expected: the first time you called me by name, the first time we had to ask each other for help, the first time you ambushed me in the classroom to tell me about the feelings that you had for me, our first I love youâs⌠the ones that I remember at least-â you blushed. âThe first time I tried to propose, and the second time, and finally the third time. I guess what they say is true, that the third timeâs a charm.â Again, those that you had invited to the ceremony chuckled along with you. âIâve cherished all of our firsts, and I always will. And now, here I am, ready to read my vows aloud for the very first time.â
You shook your hands out nervously before glancing at the woman before you. You spoke of promising to love her through the good and bad, the beautiful and the downright ugly, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health. And then you diverted from the traditional vows. âMelissa, today is the first day of the rest of our lives, and itâs one that weâll truly never forget. But just because weâre getting married doesnât mean that life is going to be boring. I vow to you that we will live a lifetime full of firsts- together. Iâm not quite sure what those firsts may be, but I know that theyâll be just as meaningful and as memorable as the rest of our firsts. I love you.â
The rest of your wedding is perfect, and then the reception after is an absolute ball. It was the first night of the rest of your lives, as you had said. And while you maybe wouldnât remember it all the next morning, you knew that the most important parts would always be held to your heart.
The first time that you really spoke about your future together as a married couple- adding kids to the mix, or maybe a pet, was⌠it wasnât pretty. But after a bit of wearing her down, your wife (God, you loved that you could call her your wife) agreed that if she was going to be a parent with anyone, it would be you.
That led you to your first treatments. That led you to the first time you peed on a stick, for once praying that it was positive. It wasnât. That led you to another round of treatments, another negative test. And after the third round, for the first time, the word âpositiveâ was staring up at you.Â
Melissa had just smiled at you softly and said, âI guess third time really is a charm for us.â
Your first pregnancy. With that, there were a lot of firsts. The first ultrasound and time you heard your babyâs heartbeat.The first time you experienced morning sickness. The first time you noticed your bump. The first time you had to buy maternity clothes. The first time that you felt the baby kick- the first time she felt the baby kick. There were so many firsts throughout all of that experience.
And now, here you are, holding your daughter, your first born, for the first time. Melissa is perched on the side of your hospital bed, looking at the two of you with such love in her eyes. For the first time, the two of you are mothers. Itâs a feeling of love that you never knew before- you understand motherly love for the first time as you hold this beautiful little baby in your arms.
âThis is the first day of the rest of our lives,â you whisper as you stroke your little girlâs cheek.
âWeâve already had a lifetime full of firsts,â she tells you softly as she brushes her lips against your temple. âI think we can handle another lifetime of firsts.â
Dating Bokuto looks likeâŚ
⢠him immediately eyeing you in the crowd with a wide grin on his face after scoring a point, as if saying âthatâs for you!â he thrives off of your approval <3
⢠him being your biggest fan. he loves listening to you as you debrief your day, invested in the drama, chipping in with comments and siding with you loyally (even if you both know youâre in the wrong lmao). he cheers you on happily with anything you do, and he brags about you to his friends any chance he gets.
⢠trying to get out of bed in the morning and being anchored in by his arms around you as he sleeps peacefully behind you. he will literally whine if you try to get up without him.
⢠neediness. he requires a lot of reassurance that heâs a good boyfriend and he jumps to conclusions pretty often. he relies on your pep talks before his games to get into the right mindset, and youâre the only one who can lift his spirit after a loss. he also gets a little butthurt when youâre not spending time with him, but youâre patient with him because you know it comes from a good place.
⢠him being amazing with children. youâre proud to bring him to family gatherings because you know the kids are all ecstatic to see himâ they barely acknowledge you when you arrive because theyâre too busy crowding around bokuto as he greets them happily with fist bumps and hugs.
⢠him blowing up your phone with texts at all hours of the day. you think itâs endearing how he texts you about the tiniest things; something that happened in class, a dog he met on the street, or just how much he misses you.
⢠him getting jealous⌠back to the neediness thing, he does not like to see you interact with other men. you could be having a civil conversation with someone and suddenly heâs beside you with a hand clumsily around your hip, carelessly inserting himself into the convo.
⢠he loves carrying you. carrying you to bed, lifting you in his embrace when you get home, piggyback rides, etc. <333
