I need the most angsty, guy wrenching hurt/comfort for Danny x Vlad. Whether it's Danny having a nightmare or a PTSD attack. Those boys need comfort and each other 😭😩😔

Danny jerked awake, his back sweaty where Vlad pressed into him from behind, shaking and crying into his shoulder.

"Vlad?" he murmured. When the older man didn't answer, Danny rolled over, struggling a little and needing to use his intangibility to get comfortable again. He wrapped his arms around shaking shoulders. "Hey... what happened?"

Vlad pressed his face into Danny's chest, the younger halfa running fingers through long white hair. He waited patiently, letting Vlad take comfort in the steady beat of his own heart.

"Hospital..." Vlad finally gasped out. He loosened his death grip on Danny's waist, but he did not move away. "Bad dream."

Danny held him a little tighter.

He didn't know the details of Vlad's time in the hospital all those years ago, and Vlad refused to talk about it at length, but he knew it had been a terrible time. Probably the worst time of the older ghost's life, and Danny's obsession was quick to kick in as the older man breathed shakily against his skin.

"It's OK..." he murmured to his lover. He petted his hair gently. "You're not there anymore. You're home. With me. You're safe."

Vlad slowly exhaled, his breath hot on Danny's chest. A kiss was placed to the spot soon after. "I know..." he whispered. He kissed the spot again. "I have my own personal hero to keep the bad dreams away."

Danny held him tighter, but he smiled.
