If any of you remember, I presented my documentary to a civil war round table in my state. And that round table just used a clip from my documentary as an example for a presentation!!!!!!!!!

Okay I freaking LOVE Sense8.

I love Sense8 AUs in other fandoms too.

But you know what makes me wanna tear out my hair a little?

Every SINGLE AU is about clusters of eight.

PEOPLE PEOPLEPEOPLEPEOPLE

It is canon that clusters can be anywhere from 2-12 people.

PLEASE stop limiting yourselves! If you want to write a Sense8 AU or crossover you don't have to have eight people just to make up a cluster!

So many of the stories I read seem a little forced and you can tell the author thought they HAD to have a cluster of eight.

And so many fandoms with smaller casts have no Sense8 AUs even if the idea works really well with the fandom.

Clusters also don't have to have an even gender split like the cluster in the series does.

The only 'rule' for a clusters is that all of the individuals were born at the exact same time and took their first breath together.

Homeschooling vs distance learning...is it worth it to pull my distance learning kids out and homeschool them?

Okay, so we are a very pro-homeschol family but our homeschool plans are generally to homeschool for preschool and for middle school, unless our kids' personality doesn't jive with our plan.

One kid in particular is so extroverted it's exhausting to me, a fellow extrovert. She LOVES school even when she hates it because peoplepeoplepeople.

Thus we have kept her immersed in the public school system even though there are aspects we don't love simply because she thrives in that setting.

HOWEVER...now with everything shut down...we are doing distance learning. She likes it okay, but it's super hard to make distance learning work for us...she gets bored, we fight, no one really likes being chained to the laptop for hours. Especially when comparing it to the homeschooling we've done which was more Charlotte Mason-esque.

I want to pull her "out" and just homeschool, but my state requires that we give the homeschoolers a test at the end of the year. It's freaking expensive to buy that test, and my husband and I both got laid off because of the pandemic...

Should I pull her out of distance learning even though it might put us in financial strain? I keep thinking about how if one of got sick and died because of the pandemic I would be super mad/annoyed we spent our "last days" with freaking distance learning.

Maybe I'm overreacting? I can't freaking tell. What do you guys think?
